  1. The Peacock Tail gets a more peacock like texture soon ^^

  2. It would be cool if there were different types of manes. Think of a nicheling with the mane of a lion! Here are my ideas: Small mane: Just few tufts of hair on the head +1 attractiveness Medium mane: The current mane +1 cold resistance Big mane: The mane of a lion +2 cold resistance -1 heat resistance +2 attractiveness Tuft mane: Like medium mane exept this comes with ear tufts and if you have medium tail, it gets a tail-tip-tuft and double effect. Females display eartufts (and tail tip) they also get effects. +1 hearing Double effect for medium tail + attractiveness Dominance order: Medium mane > Small mane > Big mane > Tuft mane Edit: 23rd of February 2020 Updated artwork! For comparison, no mane (so basically females with any mane type other than tuft-) Small/short mane: Medium mane: Big/lion mane: Tuft mane: (male:) (female:)

  3. is simple as that piston !!! having such a thing could be a hole world of new concept build like a new walker desing or just a simple reacher my idea is that piston will extract the range of the build limit aka the yello circle and have a force to it the force is the speed of the action and have a limit gauge too this is my suggetion for a new mechanic part

  4. Did you exit Niche and restart it after using the command console? I know this happens when using the command console specifically, so it could still be the aftereffects of using that even if its a different save file.

  5. I would find it much better if the game tells you which island (or how many islands) you need to go to instead of the vague "travel to different islands" requirement. It gives off the impression that the gene will eventually be unlocked after you visit X amount islands, or at random, not that you need to go to a certain one. I island hopped to about 10 islands (I might have gone in circles at some point, I'm no sure) while trying to unlock the poison fangs until I was told on steam that you need to go to swampy hill to unlock them.

  6. I agree. We do need more water related things. Perhaps even a mostly underwater island. Like a beach, with a thin strip of land that tapers off deep into the ocean.

  7. Yes, I think we need more water stuff! And it would be awesome if it were colorful too. Beautiful coral reefs *-*

  8. This story reminds me of one of my creatures. (WARNING! This story will turn to be a story of my whole snow tribe!) Her name was Clawite (Claw+white). She lived at the time of the mountain update. She had yellow fur mixed with white fur, poison fangs, one claw and one runner leg. Her whole life she seached for a mate, but immunity was never on her side. She had two days of life left, when she found her true love. I think his name was Kuvan. Kuvan was a yellow male with stripes and poison fangs. They had two beautiful twin boys called Kuwite and Clavan. She got to spend one day with them before passing away. Her sons were send with a group to look for a snow island. Raven, the melanistic son of Tata was in the group. (I found Tata as a baby and if you watch Seri, you know that you should never rename a creature named Tata). One of the twins got damaged and almost the whole group died. When they got to the snowy island, only the twins and a female with poison fangs were alive. Luckily they didn't have to worry about food, because I had 1000+ food. They bred before both of the boys passed away. Then my females (she and her daughters) started beeding with all males available, witch meant rogue males and a spits-nouted wanderer. My tribe ended up being mostly spit-snouted double no-paw creatures trying to hunt rabbils and walrush deer (big body+horns). I still had a good line as well. That line bred with my ice block nicheling who had megahorns. Then at 500+ food I moved best of them to a savannah island. Then our computer broke and I lost the save. The end. Also here are some pictures of them. I had a few screenshots of Tata, but I don't know if they died with our old computer...

  9. What about small squids. My real answer is a leopard gecko though.

  10. Now I was thinking a cave island would be kinda cool, Stalactites and stalagmites.. Maybe a cool glowing cave mushroom.. Ok, I will get into more detail now. What it looks like: It is very dark inside at first, but with the passing of five days your nichelings get used to it. Upon leaving your nichelings will be half blinded by the light and it will be the same as when you entered the cave but with light. There are dark stone walls all around and the occasional dripping noise of water. There isnt much grass but there is the occasional bunch here and there. There are also some pools of water / puddles but with no life. The puddles act the same as in the swamp. Cave mushrooms: A glowing toxic mushroom that glows in four different colors: Green, yellow, purple, orange. You can eat them and by eating them you can earn toxic body. Batbirds: A replacement of bluebirds. They do the exact same thing but look different. They usually hang on the top of the cave where you cannot see them, but when a baby is in sight they start circling until the chance to snag it. They look like bats but with bluebird feathers on only the tops of their wings (Not like you will see the bottom) Stalagmites: Since stalactites are on the tops of caves, you wont see them. But there is the occasional stalagmite. Traveling to other islands: You go through one of three cave exits which are little openings in the cave wall, all you see through them is glowing white light. If you go through one of them then you go outside to a new port. You can either return inside or take the port. If you take the port you are allowed to choose nichelings to come with through the family tree. You just click them and select them, then they appear on the port with you. To do so, you have to click the stone as usual, but there will be a third option asking if you want to bring other nichelings. This is for the cave island only. Predators: You can find some wandering bearyenas, and baby bearyenas. Also there are random heaps of meat lying around from various different creatures. Prey: You can find rabbils but no moles. Also, if you will, can you suggest a new predator for the caves? I am out of ideas. Thanks!

  11. If you could add thrusters that could turn(on a gimbal) that would be very cool and useful. Also, maybe different types of drones cores? Like different drone cores have different amount of parts they can hold, mass, ECT.

  12. Apparently nobody has suggested this. Why raise water nichelings when water biomes are so BORING? there is not enough to explore down there. I feel like maybe these suggestions will make it a little more intresting? More fish: I know we have alot already, but it would be cool if we had fish for deep oceans and rivers. So here are my fish ideas! River fish: Salmon. Just an ordinary salmon that goes up stream and then dies. dead body kinda like the clown koi. Deep ocean: Bass. Litteraly a bass. Troop, A trout that swims in groups of 2/3 Tropical fish: Colorful fish that just swim around like a fish. Now sea plant life! Corals: Corals can come in colors of Purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow. Seaweed: It grows very tall and has tons of nesting material. Very common deep in the ocean. Squids: Little squid that ink you if you attack them. the inking takes away one turn for three days. they give 3 food. Pufferfish: They give 2 food and once attacked they puff out and deal one attack to surrounding nichelings. Bubble columns: They randomly start blowing at dig sites at least 5 tiles deep into the ocean. They launch your nicheling up into the air for about 1 second before they come back down. And yeah.. Thats it.

  13. Dukduk's mom was a spitsnout with a dominant swimming tail with recessive peacock tail. No scorpion tail. His dad was a bearyena, as you can see from most of his genes. Dukduk's mom had good eyesight in her genetic mutation slots because she had bad eyesight. I don't even have scorpion tail unlocked. Dukduk was a precious mutant baby, taken away from me by a wild bearyena. RIP, glitch baby. You will be missed.

  14. A block that acts as the cursor for the gravity sensor. It'd be in another mode and set to specific tags. You could use this to build automated resource collection drones, just drop off one of these babies in the resource collector, and you could automate around the fact that it knows where the resource bin is. You could also use it for other purposes, like building satellites that follow your drone about from above.

  16. @MysticTopaz They look awesome but a bit too textured for ingame I think but as fanart/concept art they are great! and I didn't mean for them to be covered in scales all over, just a hint of scales at the breast like the strands of fur we get on normal body without having it everywhere, the rest would be filled out by imagination ^^ and for the leaf/sky one, I like it but again, it is too textured for ingame I think, ingame they are all solid colored. so maybe the sky blue could be the overwrite color for the pattern? I made an example how a spotted one would then look when sitting on a tree, but very simplistic whithout texture, just color and outlines as we get ingame

  19. I love how the creatures are mixtures. I noticed it, but never really focused on it. Somehow I'm just coming to the realization that a rabbil is a mix between a rabbit (obviously) and a gerbil. Don't know why it took me so long to figure out its other half.

  20. I would appreciate a thruster that had its own internal hinge inputs.

  21. So after people saying they wouldn't like that they couldn't control the sick creature. What if this disease was a part of the challenge mode (I am refering to this post: ) or an option when you go sandbox (either on harder islands or just always) and just not present in story mode? That way people could have the option if they wanted the extra challenge but players who don't want it wouldn't need to play with it?

  23. I will admit that the current "Peacock Tail" took me by surprise when I first saw it in-game, due to the lack of eyes and spaces, but ultimately I decided this must be a detail issue; the game is very simple in its shapes, and peacock's tails are very complex. The lack of eyes could also be due to the nichelings having mask, stripe, or dot patterns. Personally, I'm not really hurt by it; I'm just glad my suggestion was added to the game in some form

  24. Ooh, I like this! It would also be cool to have underwater predators of some kind (in specific hard or killer biomes) and underwater caves to hide from the predators and raise young.

  27. I present to you, The Party Machine! It is an over 700 part drone with LED Grids and loads of logic. It displays images and also used firework rockets to make you party the best! Here are some GIFS: It also can attack using plasma weapons I really do hope that I have a chance at winning this game! Happy Space Flying ! - Gamma Warrior

  28. Would it be possible to make a setting for it so that it can't pick Whale Island for X amount of islands? Like, if you've been to Whale Island, it can't generate Whale Island as an option until you've travelled three more times. That way you might be able to go up to a harder tier of islands, so that even if you end up back on Whale Island, when you leave you can pick from the next tier up. I also feel like you might want to disable it when you get to Hard islands, because you can get a Whale Island from a hard swamp island (like I did) and go straight to Crossing Island. I skipped over the Long Winter entirely and it confused the hell out of the tutorial, it didn't give me a pop up for Crossing Island.

  29. Thanks! I'll see if we can resolve this somehow. (It makes sense, since in the code they are different genes)

  32. When you spend forever on an archipelago with and oversized tribe and half of them spend all of their time harvesting food from the sea, and other half focuses on breeding, nuts and berries, food kinda starts building up...

  33. Just a little idea here, but maybe more vibrant, exotic manes could contribute to a male's attractiveness, just like the peacock tails currently do?

  38. This is Issi, a wanderer I found. Her gray fur mixed in with her blind eyes makes her one of my favorite creatures. Plus, poison fangs and big body are two of my favorite genes! This is Kois, another wanderer. I found her on a killer island and she was my first J immunity creature. Kois is now the goddess of growth and fertility within my tribe. This is Mero. I really love his pattern! This is Smoke, also known as "The Shadow Child".

  45. This is Rikuta, his name is a combination of his father's name and his mother's name. His mother needed to pass on an immunity gene before she died but had no mate. His father desperatly wanted a mate and to be a father. They happened to meet on his mother's last day alive. She died as she gave birth to Rikuta.

  46. First is of Laralee, she was from a savannah tribe and sacrificed most of her life chopping down cacti so her tribe wouldn't starve. Second is of Meana, a creature I freed from the ice. She saved the tribe from a balance bear with the help of her children, unfortunately the tribe died off after a few generations to sickness due to lack of immunity genes. Third is Kirkuduk and his mate Lako. Kirkuduk led an attack against a balance bear even though he's not that strong. I allowed him to have a few children even though there was a risk of double deformed paw, but somehow, the mutation menu helped all four of the children have double bearyena claws. Fourth is the Meane family. The white porcupine is the mother of all of those ones. They were a jungle family who wasn't too suited to the jungle. I absolutely loved them. Unfortunely at one point twins were born, both were lost to the ape due to the others fleeing.

  47. 1st picture: This is Iskoko, my Goddess of the Grasses. In all of my tribes she is responsible for the grass that gives them all coverage. When she was young a bearyena killed some of her family, and she escaped because she fled into the tall grass to hide herself. She has been thankful for the grass ever since.(She is also the drawing on my profile Picture) 2nd picture: Kirroku, My god of Hope. When his faction (So i have one big tribe, but then i split that tribe into factions, He was of the Savannah faction, Hence the yellow gems) was still small they took in a wandering female, that female was his mother, and when he was born, his Faction was given the Hope that they will survive. 3rd picture: Rela, My Goddess of Balance. She was the last child born to her parents (Can't remember their names, Sorry) She is the Goddess of balance because since her parents just died, they had no Alpha. And when she gained her second gem, she approched her faction with a firm voice to tell them to stop fighting amongst themselves, or else their beloved faction would cease to exist. She restored balance to her faction and was elected as Alpha in her parents place.
