  1. So I was looking back at the old demos of Niche in Steam i noticed it is a green background instead of a blue background. It was a very nice, and nature-themed green. It screamed Niche to me. I would love the color to go back to that. But I realize many people wouldn't want this, so maybe they would want to keep the blue, or change it to something else. So maybe in Options there could be a option that says loading screen, and people can change the color and maybe even the symbol, maybe to some other paw print...

  7. That brings up another point I am sometimes annoyed by creatures with double no paw never starve. No wanderer starves or is eaten by a meat eating plant (not sure if they changed that yet). I also didn't mean that wanderers should only have three energy points. I can see how that would be hard to implement. I simply meant that they should move according to their speed stat, so babies should only move on tile when you make a move and not shoot across the island like flash. Are wandering babies eaten by the bluebird yet? If not that should be added as well.

  8. So as of now the names are randomly generated by the game The Males use these syllables: Van, Ro, Duk, Kir, Ta, Nu, and Ku The Females use these syllables: Ra, Is, Re, Si, La, Ko, Me, and Ana So I have had at times 2 Vankirs, or Duktas etc. What if we added a few more syllables to make that less common. Male Syllables: Ti, Tu, To, and Mu examples: Kirmu, Rotu ,Vantu ,Tito ,Tomu, Tunu, and Vannuto Female Syllables: Di, Ki, and Le examples: Anale, Anaki, Kiana, Diana, Dilame, Meanaki, Merale, Ledile, Dikile

  9. I'm new to this kind of thing, so I hope I'm posting in the right category and area. I am on the release_preview update and on the English version of Niche. I've been going for the raccoon achievement and once I finally think I've uptrained everything correctly, the achievement is not given to me yet. I've read around on Steam Community that this one seems to have glitches, and that I was told to report here. What should I do? Suggestions? Or am I doing this wrong?

  10. The yellow silouhettes for the wanderers don't appear in smelling or hearing vision even if you are sitting right next to them (like Eve). I think rogues still have their silouhette and I have not noticed any others missing apart from the wanderers.

  11. There is the potential for this to be exploited, but I am not against it. Personally what I would do is actively try to get my females to mate with any that showed evidence of being an "aggressive male," and any offspring that didn't turn out well I just leave to them. I would focus only on protecting my own. For more something more common and more threatening perhaps, I suggest an elaboration that the aggressive male only attacks those that are not his own, or lack a certain genetic similarity. While this is ideal gameplay-wise, however, I suspect programming for something like that would be a bear. So either you have something exploitable, or you have something that might be more work than it is worth programming-wise, I don't know anything about programming so that is just a personal suspicion.

  16. Good point. The growl is meant to symbolize intimidation, so its not just a growl, but I think the pythadillo and the glutton would be great rivals! The pythadillo could sometimes constrict the glutton, and sometimes the glutton could scare it away with its claws! It would be a preetyeven fight.

  19. I hope that you make the female peacock tail just be like a tiny little nub with feathers, that would be adorable.

  20. I drew a mockup of a pattern I think would look nice. I based it off of fish, which is why the glowing color is blue. Nice idea btw!
