  1. I know those this gifs aren't from demo version, but users mostly watch gifs placed here, not in "Cool Nimbatus gifs" and those cameras are really dope

  2. Those secondary cameras are pretty cool

  3. I made tic tac toe in nimbatus. Controled with the mouse, point on a tile and click to select it

  4. I like this idea but I think you should be able to toggle it (for example with the more sandbox options post). I always want more challenge and I feel this would make the game more realistic

  5. We definitely need something to pick from the cacti so why not the beak Also you could then breed it onto your winged creatures and have them actually be able to collect stuff when there aren't any trees around.

  6. In the new update there is wings and with them comes the ability to put your doubled winged creatures in trees. This is a remarkable feature as it gives a way to get food out of killing rabbits but there are not a lot of trees on a island only 1-3 (witch is not enough to feed my animals)i know niche already has a new island and a island with a lot of trees but you can not collect nuts from most of the trees. adding a island with trees all over it would make a good way to get food and most birds are not meat eaters this would give you another option much like weather to pick berries or kill moles and bunnies. Thanks for reading.

  7. in what version? I know it was possible in older versions but I am pretty sure it is impossible right now I actually cheat a little at the start of every sandbox tribe just to unlock it (I mean... it is just cosmetic, that can hardly be called cheating, right?) but to have it officially unlocked after doing so in Story Mode would be cool

  8. Now I was thinking a cave island would be kinda cool, Stalactites and stalagmites.. Maybe a cool glowing cave mushroom.. Ok, I will get into more detail now. What it looks like: It is very dark inside at first, but with the passing of five days your nichelings get used to it. Upon leaving your nichelings will be half blinded by the light and it will be the same as when you entered the cave but with light. There are dark stone walls all around and the occasional dripping noise of water. There isnt much grass but there is the occasional bunch here and there. There are also some pools of water / puddles but with no life. The puddles act the same as in the swamp. Cave mushrooms: A glowing toxic mushroom that glows in four different colors: Green, yellow, purple, orange. You can eat them and by eating them you can earn toxic body. Batbirds: A replacement of bluebirds. They do the exact same thing but look different. They usually hang on the top of the cave where you cannot see them, but when a baby is in sight they start circling until the chance to snag it. They look like bats but with bluebird feathers on only the tops of their wings (Not like you will see the bottom) Stalagmites: Since stalactites are on the tops of caves, you wont see them. But there is the occasional stalagmite. Traveling to other islands: You go through one of three cave exits which are little openings in the cave wall, all you see through them is glowing white light. If you go through one of them then you go outside to a new port. You can either return inside or take the port. If you take the port you are allowed to choose nichelings to come with through the family tree. You just click them and select them, then they appear on the port with you. To do so, you have to click the stone as usual, but there will be a third option asking if you want to bring other nichelings. This is for the cave island only. Predators: You can find some wandering bearyenas, and baby bearyenas. Also there are random heaps of meat lying around from various different creatures. Prey: You can find rabbils but no moles. Also, if you will, can you suggest a new predator for the caves? I am out of ideas. Thanks!

  9. Loyal loner lovers are a milder version of rogue males. Their spawnrate is really small. If one spawns, he will act like a normal wanderer, but you can't invite him into your tribe. If there is an adult female who has opposing immunity compared to him, he will follow her around and breed with her as often as possible. He will only target one female, and if she dies, he won't breed with anyone else or follow them around. If a bearyena approaches his mate, he will try to fight it off or distract it. Loyal loner lovers have slightly better genes than rogue males. Genes they will always have: One deformed paw High fertility Normal bloodclotting One fur gene with camoflauge of the current biome Any ideas? Genes they will never have: Bearyena snout Bearyena claw Bearyena hindlegs Bearyena ears Sabertooth fangs Digging trunk Megaloceros horns Armored body Mammut foot Hammer tail Black eyes Brown eyes Any ideas?

  10. I think these sorts of genes have already been suggested but this is my take on them and they never really made it in game, idk if that was purposely or if the developers had other priorities but I'll suggest them anyway. Hope you enjoy 😄 Marsupial body/pouch:I dont know how this may be integrated into the game but it could be added as a new gene in the body gene slot(marsupial body) or there would be an entirely new gene(pouch) deciding whether the nichling has a pouch or notObviously only females would express this and she can carry her 1 gemed baby around without the fear it being attacked or snatched by predators or birds, I suppose it could also warm the baby but other than that idk what stats this would add.(perhaps it could add heat resistance if grouped with the body genes?)Also I know this is sorta unrelated but speaking of gender specific genes perhaps females could have a gene mutation that causes them to grow a mane appearing male-like and I guess attracting female wanderers and repelling rouge males.Marsupial face:It'd basically look like a kangaroo or koala and it can use the licking ability to cool itself and others like how kangaroos do in real life.Marsupial ears:They'd be tall and erect kangaroo-like ears(the round ear genes would kinda make rounded koala ear genes redundant) And as for stats I guess they'd have standard +2 hearing and maybe +3 heat resistance due to their sizeKangaroo hind legs:They'd add a jumping ability which would funtion almost the same way as flying+1 or 2 strength(male kangaroos are known for their kickboxing)+2 or 3 speed(kangaroos are pretty fast)Stealth?(idk if it should add that stat)Kangaroo tail:Idk what this might add, kangaroos use them for balance when fighting irl so idk how this might relate to niche.Perhaps the tail could be used to hit small enemies and wanderers a few blocks away?Okay thanks for reading and feel free to leave suggestions.

  11. I think it'd be cool if the beak allowed you to collect from the cacti, or possibly a slightly thinner vareity so you could collect from them, as Big body,Armoured body,Mammoth feet, don't look like they belong in a Savannah biome.

  12. I think it would be great to have more settings for the sandbox mode. For example toggle buttons for all predator types (want to remove rogue males? Just switch them off). Maybe we could also define stuff like "Maximal tribe size" to add some extra challenge or "Maxium age of animals" so our critters can live longer. Or maybe even some special rules like "Only one male allowed in the pack" or "Tribe can only eat meat".

  13. I thought it'd be cool that if you have low fertility your nichelings can have miscarriages. Maybe you could also have miscarriages with immunity issues as well like how in real life incest can lead to miscarriages. Although I'm thinking it should be a rare occurrence, as to not annoy some players. Please don't forget to upvote this if you like the idea, I'm pretty new to the community.

  14. More creatures! Woo! Fishstar, leader of.. er, no Clan name as of yet, but her daughter (Coconutstar! Woo!) became leader and after the next one (Bluestar!) her grandson (Deerstar!) became leader as well! Tuliptail, daughter of Fishstar and mother of the newest leader, Deerstar! This little guy who was found drowning in the river and saved by the courageous warrior Sunshade! (Deerstar's brother-in-law---seen with meat at his paws) (other warrior is Spottail, a son of Deerstar) (Yeah, Deerstar is pretty much related to everybody) This little baby, Nightkit, who' melanistic and has Peacock Tail! (She's named after a black Nicheling who also had Peacock Tail who died the day Nightkit was born) And finally, this guy, who somehow didn't make it into my other post-- The famed Meringue of the Kikonoko Tribe, the sickly but noble Nicheling who is on my profile picture. His descendants are spread throughout (probably) the entire tribe, but he was the last to have Ram Horns, which was quite common when his mother was a child, but the antlers soon took over (He was also the last to have spots as well). Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of his genes, because by the time I really liked him, he was already dead (that was when I took the picture), and by the time I wanted a photo of his genes, his children had all passed away, which meant he was kicked off the Family Tree (please oh PLEASE let us see more of it in a future update). I can't even tell what tail he had

  15. Looks really cool, you select the places by the direction sensors huh? wouldnt it be easier with numpad? Also do it check if anyone actually won? it'd be cool if it would show some fireworks if someone wins

  16. My idea is basically smooth animation of some kind of hinges on the doors, and the hinges are on pistons and pistons are on rails... Sounds weird but its just visualisation how may it actually work. also please do not cry over my MS Paint skills, it was supposed to be made quickly, not pretty rotation of hinges and moving them along the rails are supposed to happen pararelly

  20. I think this is something which will be balanced/updated/polished in the future. For now I think it stays, because it's somehow funny (and we have to spend our time on other things). There was a old version which was deadly, luckily we changed that Do you have a suggestion how you would like it to be @OmegaDeltaZero?

  21. It may also be an option to change the animation of opening the container hm?

  22. @Fishyfishyfishy500 I think you are quite mistaken, Seri hasn't been in the Savanna for ages and the round eared bevertail Nicheling (I looked it up!) showed up in her lets plays on version 0.5.5 before the game was even fully released if that is the only example I am still convinced Round Ears are a Story Mode only (what the "how to unlock" note in the Mutation Menu also says)

  23. Thanks for the answer Never knew about that, good to know. I have trouble understand 'bayerisch' as well and I guess northern accents to though I have not heard them speak as much. And don't even get me started on Kölsch (and I live near Cologne ^^)

  25. In the new 1.1.4 version or 1.1.3 they changed the unlock mechanism for the wings again to just having to invite a creature into your tribe. So you can just mutate the crippled paws away

  26. I like nimbatus, it's fun due to the exploration and it has a very cool building system. I have been watching people play nimbatus for a year or so but either way I'm glad I have the game nimbatus now.🙂 P. S By any chance does anybody know how to get the version of nimbatus as the YouTubers on the internet - the version with Red and yellow resources? 🤔🤔😕

  27. Just want to say that I made a whale island and the wing gene is a bit too common, it has made majority of my nichelings pretty useless due to having only 1 wing and most rouge mails have 1 crippled paw and 1 wing. I had a bug where I just got the wing gene unlocked without flying or anything, just inviting someone with it to my tribe.

  28. Maybe there would be a chance of a miscarriage only if a female sustains damage that same turn, I don't know about having a time limit to a pregnancy because I know some animals can stop the development of their offspring if the current conditions aren't ideal. Maybe instead if a female is pregnant there can be an option to forcefully miscarry at will and perhaps she wouldn't take damage as a cost but maybe she wouldn't be able to breed for a certain amount of days or all of her gems don't recover next turn due the stress she underwent.

  30. Almost all of our entertainment in german is "Standardsprache" or "high-german", and in school we mostly have to talk in "hochdeutsch", so it's completely normal for us so understand that. But if it goes more into dialect, for example "bayerisch" or maybe some north-german-dialects, we also have trouble to understand them Just like we have sometimes trouble to understand other swiss-dialects (wallis especially )

  33. also maybe the loyal lonely lover will distract predators and (try) to fight them off if they approach his "mate"

  34. Imagine a Loyal Lover and a Lonely Lady meeting up and having opposing immunity genes. Lord help us all, they'd create a horde.
