The sound of crackling flames and the smell of smoke are pretty alarming to most wild animals. This should be reflected in the game by flames that show red to both senses.3 points

Can you please make an ice planet type? You can get really cold if you touch the surface. And also please make the bio-crates to contain the green resource. Maybe you can even call it uncollectium or unobtainium? This is implying that this would come in small portions like the red resource but half as much. On the ice planet can you please make more bio-barrels in a freezing cold ocean that's on the planet?3 points

A detachable part that creates a beacon (a blip or ping would be perfect) on the planet map. My idea is that you can identify places of interest (large resource deposits, bio barrels, collectible materials or chests, etc) and navigate back to them easily.1 point

I actually put this in a huge mega-post but someone told me that I should do it separately New Forest Biome features: -There will be several different kinds of forests: -Beech: -Tall beech trees, Some trees will have honeydew, occasionally there will be a huge bounty of beechnuts that lasts for 4 days. -Survival is hard as berries and other things only spawn in occasional clearings, ferns spawn, which can give you nesting material and regrow in 3 days. -Small mice skitter on the forest floor and provide 1 food each. -The trees have 4 nesting spots near the top. -Bearyenas spawn. -New Zealand: -Covered in plants everywhere, plenty of berries and other plants that provide food. -No predators spawn except for birds: New predators/prey for this biome(that suit it); -Falcon:Attacks your babies. Weaker than Bluebirds, drops 2 meat. -Lizara: A large green lizard thing that attacks your babies(Takes multiple hits to kill young, you get a notifcation when it attacks) drops 4 food. -Giant Stoat: Attacks everything it finds, drops 10 meat. Is a giant stoat that's fast and strong. -Fish spawn in ocean, razorinahs don't spawn, instead, clownkoi spawn. -Sealion: A weird combo of a seal, a sea lion and a lion, looks like a giant seal with a mane, drops 20 food. -Wings appear a lot in this biome -There are tree ferns, several fruit-producing trees and ferns instead of grass. -There are large podcarps like rimu and totara that have 3 seperate branches for you to nest on. -It's relativeley rare. -There are beaches with water. Pine/Spruce: A generic pine or spruce forest with mountain predators and pine nuts. Oak: A bunch of oak trees. Mixed: -A mixed forest with all trees except beech, has a new kind of tree that produces food: Maple. -Has your generic grasslands predators.1 point

I never drank enough salt water to actually feel sick but it makes you more thirsty, also it tastes really horrible, still think there should be a debuff for it1 point
-
I don't think this is smart. Drinking salt water doesn't really make you sick, you could just let it have no effect or have it be unavailable.1 point
-
maybe drinking could give a "cooled down" buff for ~1-2 days that reduces the heat a Nicheling has to endure by 1 (and that way lets it have the extra energy unless it is waaaaayy too hot)1 point

This is you background image for the Nimbatus forum. I was just wondering if this has anything to do with the real game. I am asking because under further inspection I discovered things that aren't actually in the game yet. For example, i saw a lot of transmitter style buildings and in a crowd of transmitter protectors i saw what looked like a small boss thing. And none of this is to mention the crocodile thing in the other enemy side. So please clarify with me if this relates to any further in game features. Sincerely, Neological Gamer.1 point

The buildings are still waiting for a bettter implementation system that adds value to the gameplay. It's just not on the priority list. The bug (or as you call it - the crocodile thing) is from the demo and will eventually be in there, too. We just didn't do much on the jungle planet lately while working for the lava biome and the heating/cooling systems.1 point

it sounds kinda interesting. definetly nice for rp purposes but I don't think it would fit in the concept of Niche1 point

MULTI-PLANET QUESTS! MULTI PLANET QUESTS! @Philo Maybe you could do something like planets with moons or something! Maybe there could be a quest where the nimbatus crashes and you have to fly to planets moon(s)/neighboring planets in your drone to gather resources to repair the nimbatus!!!1 point

Niche has a lot of food sources as it is, but it is still missing insects for food! So, I present to you, the ant hill. -The Ant Hill- The ant hill is much like a rock. It stays on a tile and you can't stand on it. It can be destroyed by creatures with a digging claw, who can tear up the entire thing. In itself, the ant hill does not do that much. However, it has another feature: -The Ant Trail- The ant trail is gonna be the most in-depth idea of this 3 part suggestion. It'll spawn from the ant hill. Every day, it expands 2 tiles. Where to? To the most nearby berry bush! When it reaches the berry bush, it'll stop expanding for 3 days. After these 3 days, the trail will continue, until it finds every berry bush on the island. You might be asking; 'But what's the point of this? What effect will this have?' Now, when the berry bush is under 'control' of the ants, it'll produce fewer berries when you skip a turn. So on a normal weather day, it'll only generate 1 berry instead of the usual 2. When it rains, it'll only generate half of the berries it normally would with a full regrowth. This means that if you leave an ant hill untreated, it'll 'control' every berry bush on your island, depriving your nichelings of food. Of course, there is a way to counter the ants. Standing on the trail, you can stomp the ants, removing the trail from that tile. Keep in mind that the trail expands 2 tiles per day, so your nichelings will be losing at least 2 turns per day keeping the ants in the hill. It isn't ideal, but with 1 creature you can control the ants at their base using this method. Of course, just destroying the ant hill would be the best. Or maybe not! -The Pangolin Snout- excuse the bad drawing The pangolin snout would add a scaly snout with a long, thin tongue. It is the absolute best way to not only eat the ants, but to form a monopoly over them. The pangolin snout adds the ability to eat ants from their trails, but you have to approach it tactically. Eating ants would give you 2 food points. It removes the trail from the tile, but unlike stomping the ants you wouldn't have to stand on the trail to eat them. You could also stand next to it, like with digging roots. This way you can easily control the trail while getting 4 food per turn. but if you have multiple nichelings with the snout, you could do more. Take this; an island with 5 berry bushes and an ant hill. The ants go to the first one, then the second, then the third, fourth, and fifth. Your nichelings just watched the ants take all the berry bushes on the island. But here comes the pangolin snout. 5 pangolin nichelings go to the berry bush. They all cut off the end of the trail to their berry bush, giving them 20 food points. Then they harvest the berries with their 1 move left. Because the ants don't reach the berry bush in the night, it regens 2 berries as usual. Per turn, this gives you 30 food points per turn with 5 nichelings and 5 berry bushes. -The End- So, I hope you all like this idea! Feel free to expand on it in the comments or any problems you have with it! Thank for reading.1 point

Also this(ties into my own ideas): Mezmi: Hey Korais, remember that Killer bearyena we saw when we were 2? Korais: yup, but mom lead us to the mountains from that deadly grassland Mezmi: Korais, look behind you(use 1 claw finger to point at it) Korais: Dammit Tata!, you and your ALBINISM! Tata(a flying gilled nicheling in a nearby tree, also their brother): *Snickers while eating a nut*1 point

This would be huge. It sounds so deadly. But so fun. But what happens if preds wander everywhere? Rere: Oh hey Kuro remember that balance bear we saw when we were kids? Kuro: Yeah but we moved from the mountains to the savannah. Rere: I guess it followed us. Kuro: Crap.1 point

Rather than change the major functionality to any of the blocks, just allow more inputs/outputs to do the same thing. This could prevent the user from having to chain multiple AND/IF/NOR etc. blocks: if A AND B then X If C AND D then Y if X AND Y then Z 3 blocks - compared to 1 block of if AND(A,B,C,D) then Z in the same way, you can have multiple outputs, you can more easily create logic to move your drone - you can for example, share thrusters across several functions - have all your rearward facing thrusters fire for forwards, and still have the appropriate half of them used for left/right so instead of: if A then X if A then Y if A then Z have: if A then (X,Y,Z) You could enact this in your interface by just having a 'plus' button on the input and output sections that adds another row, and as additional rows appear, so do 'minus' buttons to delete existing rows. At the moment, I'm using dozens of blocks for complicated thruster sharing movement routines, where I could be using 6 blocks, one for each of the cardinal directions, and two to rotate.1 point

Good simple idea on how to improve the current logic gates. 👍 May test this out later on. Also combined with multiple outputs from sensors.1 point

Hello! I am Orange Sunrise, though you can call me Sunrise. I am a 13 year old guy who enjoys reading and writing stories. I have found out about Stray Fawn Studio from Niche, which I started playing last fall. Since then, I've had a lot of fun with the game! I'm happy to finally be a part of these forums.1 point
