  1. Having a sensor that triggers when the fuel or energy is low or at a certain percentage might be useful.

  2. A module that can build/spawn sub-drones. Some special form of decoupler or somthing like that, where the decoupled part can be replicated. It should cost energy and time and/or a special resource. Maybe the core has some sort of special energy that doesn't replenish over time. Could be upgraded to hold higher ammounts.

  3. Here's the 6th GIF competition! This time, it's a LOGIC this round The best two designs win a Steam key for the Closed Alpha of Nimbatus. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, 1st of August. (Winners will be announced shortly after). Here are the rules: Post your design here in this thread. Multiple entries per person are allowed. Old non-winning GIFs are allowed as well. Only drones recorded made with the demo version are allowed in this competition. Please only post designs here if you participate in the contest. If not participating, please use this thread instead. @Roger, @Markus, @Micha and @Philo will pick 2 favorites. There will be only awarded one key per person. If you won in a previous contest, we won't award you another key. Please note: You can use [F9] to generate an animated GIF of the last 6 seconds gameplay, but feel free to use other tools. This time, the best ideas/constructions win! The GIF itself is not super important. Just make sure we all understand why your design is smart/interesting/new/cool/... You can also upload your drone here if you like! We maybe show some of these cool gifs on Twitter, Reddit, etc. Please only post here if that's ok with you. Tipp 1: The GIF capture tool hides bad framerates. If you turn off the Bloom because of performance reasons, turn them on before recording the GIF. The game might have a low frame rate, but the resulting GIF should run smoothly and might result in nicer looking GIF because of the effects. Tipp 2: If you press F9, please wait until the "Generate GIF" message disappears, otherwise your recorded GIFs might get corrupted. Press F9 and wait, and then it should result in a 6 seconds long GIF.

  4. Because just as your creatures can adapt to every biome, why wouldn't other animals? Bunnies It never made sense to me how bunnies are white everywhere. Here are some different variants: Grassland Bunny, which looks like it's current appearance but brown. It replaces the current white bunny. Arctic Bunny, white and with a fluffy tail. They have 1 defense. Savanna Bunny, a regular bunny but beige, and has 1 stealth. Swamp Bunny, a black bunny that can safely eat poison berries. (Because I don't think swamps should be exempt from bunnies being a nusiance.) Balance Bears Just in case you thought there were no truly invincible predators on Deadly Hills. Brown Bear, a grassland version of the balance bear. Bearyenas Because Deadly Hills isn't the only killer island out there, what if the non-killer bearyenas were slightly more dangerous? Mountain Bearyena, which is white. It has cold resistance, and has 1 defense and 3 strength. It spawns in the Frost Lands. Jungle Bearyena, which is slightly smaller. It has stealth and scentless, so it's harder to hear/smell. It spawns in the Deep Jungle. Ramfoxes The concept of a predator that spawns in a pack is interesting to me, I'm not sure if it should be limited to one biome. Red Ramfox, spawns in the grasslands on islands that aren't easy, not counting Home Island or Crossing. Savanna Ramfox, spawns on islands with hot climates. They are beige with large ears.

  7. The mountain islands, especially Frost Lands. Each time I bring a tribe there, I experience a new adventure. It's quite fun!

  8. Mustn't forget the resource tanks for this. Also, what's to keep the batteries/tanks from having the sensor built into them? Just an output for when they're empty and an output for when they're full again. And/Or logic gates could handle totals.

  9. OK, so it turns out I was operating on some misunderstanding of how cameras worked in the game. I thought activating a second camera would deactivate the previous camera, not zoom out to show both. Good thing I started this suggestion with the disclaimer.

  10. Hi everybody. As I was watching Lathlands latest youtube video of nimbatus, I got a bit annoyed of how overpowered the shields are. You can put them on your drone and let them always be active, which makes the missions too easy and monotonous. I thought of two different ways to improve it's behaviour: 1. The shields drain more energy over time. 2. Shields have a limited active time and need to cool down. (Active time could be improved with upgrades in the future) What do you think? Any other suggestions? What would you prefer?

  11. I think the mountains or something like Grass Adventure, Grass Mingle oh and the Oasis. I just love the way you can specialze on fishing and cracking nuts in the Oasis and especially in the first few days/ generations it is really exiting to try to survive. The mountains are just cool in general. I love snow and the walrus deer are cool and just the mountains are awesome And Grass Mingle/ Adventure that have very good role playing potential

  14. here is an idea: The shields eat the bullets, and when it does, it gets hotter and hotter until it overheats and gets destroyed and maby an logic shield: every time it gets hit, its gives an output
