  1. Everything here looks great, Iā€™m glad the game is progressing so well.

  2. These mysterious islands can only be found by traveling. You can't start on them, and they can't be reached from whale island. Even whales don't know where they are. Their ports can't be found easily. Kinda like whale island, they appear randomly, exept secret island ports can only be found in certain biomes. "But what kind of islands?" you might ask. Well that's left for the devs. They'd be secret after all. But if this suggestion gets 30 upvotes, (I want to knowif people like this or not) I will post my ideas for secret islands in seperate suggestions. I'm gonna post them even if this doesn't get the votes, but as normal island ideas.

  3. Okay! HAVE THIS LORE I LITERALLY JUST MADE UP FOR MY TRIBE! *ahem* A long time ago... (That's the worst possible introduction. Oh well.) A long time ago, when Adam found himself alone on an island far away from his own, he didn't actually know how to feel. Sad? Lonely? Like I said, he didn't know. At the time he also liked to mentally abuse himself, and thought sitting at the bottom of the ocean was a great way to pass the time. So he did, and drowned. But then some very godly star bois said "No, Adam. Drowning yourself is not a good way to die" and revived Adam, but this time he was a child, and he wasn't alone! There was another poison babe named Rere, but she had terrible immunity, so Adam blocked her friend request. But Rere didn't like that, and forced Adam to make a bunch of copies of themselves. Adam still didn't like that, so he drowned himself again, but the godly star bois didn't revive him this time. Oh well! Rere was confused why her other poison babe drowned himself, so she just made more copies of herself w/ her sick children. One day, a group of wanderers stumbled across the island, and when they saw what Rere was doing with her kids, they murdered her and turned her kids into child protective services. Those wanderers made their home on the island and made copies of themselves like mommy Rere, but they actually knew how to play Niche. The tribe flourished! They kidnapped a bunch of bearyena babies, too, which may have insulted some certain pro-bearyena creatures. One day, a very "special" creature named Takir was born, and claimed he was king of the tribe. The actual leader at the time, Rokir, was ticked at Takir, though, because he thought he was gonna usurp the throne. He ordered his followers to kill him, but they never returned. HMM. The next morning, Takir ordered his followers to kill Rokir, and it actually worked this time. Hooray, now Takir's the king of the tribe! But something's wrong: other than the people he forced to be on his side, he had no followers. So he forced everyone to like him by burning children. "Wow man, chill." The reasonable creatures said, but decided to follow him anyways. Takir eventually died and his children ruled, and promised the people that they wouldn't be like Takir. They didn't become Takir, and the tribe lived happily ever after šŸ˜† (I bet a toddler could write a better story than that! Oh well. I already wrote it, and I don't want to re-write it.)

  4. Well, its time to reveal my theory! Lilytuft, and the others, you have great speculative abilities! I believe it was the ancient dodomingos! Thanks to their beaks and great architecture skills, the dodomingos were able to build nests that could last forever. Now, dodomingos can no longer be seen building them because their ancestors already did it for them, and because they fear the nichelings will find out. Once the dodomingos built nests on every island, but something wiped out many of them. Many nichelings think that ancient nichelings built these nests, but that is just a lie the dodomingos invented to avoid being turned into nest building slaves for the nichelings!

  5. I don't know that I found purr snout creepy, but I certainly don't think it's as cute as a bunch of other people seem to find it šŸ˜… I'm not sure what it is though. The weird skinniness of the nose? Too many thick whiskers? Weird forehead shape? I dunno, but not really my favorite snout aesthetically (saber fangs have one that one in a landslide so far :P) Side note, Kid vs Cat was a good show! Almost no one I know remembers it though, so sad!

  6. Many niche players have tribes with a really complex story behind them. They have their gods and legends of how everything came to be, and they have traditions and culture and different relations with the creatures surrounding them. I want to know what is your tribe's lore! Mine would be self explanatory. ALL HAIL THE DODOMINGO!

  7. I feel like we can make sandbox mode a place where it can be easy for those looking to just mess around and also toggle-able so that it can be harder and more challenging for those seeking a step up from the campaign. best of both worlds šŸ˜Š

  8. A nice example of how something broken can be made into something more than it was before. Now the 'rockwood' has another story to tell. Good job šŸ‘

  9. Sounds like fun, especially if the islands are very unique. Excited to hear what you come up with.

  10. I wonder if you could even toggle off certain immunities to make it harder gameplay with a closer knit gene pool hahaha

  13. Here is my attempt to make a raccoon. Fur color black x black, pattern color black x white, pattern mask, pattern shape C, pattern size huge, pattern density thick. That should be everything; why isn't it working? (And yes, I'm online.)

  14. I have quite a few wanderer stories I want to tell. I just started a bearyena challenge tribe and started on Summer Mountains, I intend to go to the Burning Savanna and then work my way to Killer Island, where I'll try getting bearyena hybrids. Shortly after starting, I found these two wanderers! They don't share an immunity gene, but they might as well be a mother and daughter pairing. Maybe the one on the right found the one on the left, and they teamed up. Today, in a deleted save file on Deadly Hills, a mother was forced to step away from her baby, and a wanderer popped up out of nowhere and stood next to the baby. Keep in mind that there were two or three bluebirds in the sky. Yesterday, I had the bad luck of getting my mountain tribe caught in the snow almost immediately after traveling to Long Winter. A chain of events happened that killed my tribe. While there was still snow, I saw a male and female couple of wanderers nearby, waiting out the snowstorm together. I couldn't invite them, probably for the better. In that same tribe, I found a wanderer in the sea, and rescued him. I very often encounter wanderers that make me wonder if they were banished from their tribes, and it's especially obvious when I'm near the coast and a wanderer with water-related traits pops up. I told these stories before, but here are two more noteworthy stories from the cursed save file I complained about in another post: I was on Archipelago, and just as the last creature was about to cross, a blind wanderer got hit by a coconut. I was getting ready to leave Swampy Hill, and a second blind wanderer appeared. There had been a glitch where a mini jungle appeared in the middle, and I'd sent my elderly creature up there. That wanderer was also fairly old, so I sent her up to the jungle, and I like to think they had a family together.

  16. Thanks for reporting! Naming the animal is not needed for this achievement I think I maybe found a bug in there just now šŸ˜® The setting for the racoon achievement was set to female! So maybe it counted only for females! Finally found this problem, thanks so much This will be fixed in the next update.

  17. I have a thing where if I don't like my tribe, i usually end up deleting it. I have really only got myself 'attached' to three tribes, but other gods and goddesses have formed through other tribes as well. Emmai, the Goddess of Hunting. She saved the Oasis tribe by showing up as a wanderer right after the starters died (the male had claw, but he didn't pass it on to his children) and killing the Bearyena that threatened to finish the tribe once and for all in three hits. The suprising thing is that she's blind! She also held the recessive gene of Purr Snout, which the family already had, but she managed to strengthen it. Dukvan, God of the waters. He was found as a wanderer on a random tribe that no longer exists. I just liked him. Okay, I don't have many gods/goddesses. But anyways, here's the final 3 gods, all in one picture. THE ALMIGHTY AWESOME BLUEBIRDS OF HEALING FRUIT ISLAND. Once the tribe finds wings, I think I'm gonna try and make some birds Nichelings to worship the almighty Awesome Bluebirds who are all dead now.

  18. Actually, I donā€™t believe you need to. For these achievements, I usually have to breed multiple until I get the achievements, but I didnā€™t have to name my creature for it.

  22. Just wanted to share this with you because I think itā€™s so cool. So my dad bought this gorgeous agaitzed petrified wood. (He is a big nature and fossil fan!) It was like $130 or something and he loved it a lot and was very proud of it. But then, today, it was accidentally knocked off the mantle and shattered into a million pieces! My poor dad was so upset and sad at his loss. However, my sisters and I decided that we would try our luck at piecing it back together. We started with the biggest chunks and then our dad scrounged the garbage can for the small fragments he threw away. Eventually, this is what happened: we were able to piece the rock back together like a puzzle down to the tiniest bits with just a few tiny chunks remaining around the edges! We thought it was too far gone but apparently not! It may eventually get plastered together and hopefully be displayed in glorified honor once again!

  24. This would actually be pretty good for story purposes, Like the nichelings are "Returning to the earth" and contributing to the future of the tribe.

  26. it'd be cool to make a island where you can use those campaign blocking thorns/ice to block off certain parts of the island until conditions are met. would make for interesting long term gameplay šŸ˜‚

  27. Could he ever go down? Something tells me he got so startled when your tribe approached him that he just rushed up there. Or he had very bad winged parents who abandoned him for inheriting a digging paw and having a crippled wing.

  30. I don't think Sharkidile hybrids make much sense, but I like the rest of this suggestion! However, a Sharkidile snout that could be unlocked through, let's say, killing fifteen Sharkidiles, could have Fishing, because as of now there are no heads in the game that give Fishing, and it would make it more unique and desirable for that very reason.

  31. I tend to assume they were built by a tribe that once lived in the area, but migrated. Other times I just don't question their existence.

  32. I think that they're built by dodomingos

  33. I think I know what your theory is Well, I think either some bigger animals build them (possibly which are now extinct) that is why they are permamnent or they are just very old nests that somehow managed to stay for ever. Really, I don't have any good theories. I always just accepted that they were there ^^

  34. I don't find purrsnout super creepy but it doesn't look that appealing or cute either. It could definitely use some editing, though I am not sure what would make it better (looking at the posts above I think it might be head shape related). Oh I hate cracker jaw too. Of course I got used to it but I still try to keep it to a minimum and rather use nimble fingers for cracking when I can. My favourite snouts are probably big nose, poison fangs and sabre fangs

  39. Well here's a lucky encounter- sort of. So I was starting on sleepy reeds and trying to do a challenge there, forget the challenge, but basically a playtpus beaked, toxic bodied, and crippled male came by. He started distracting the nearby bearyena, and since all of my tribe had 1 strength, that was extremely needed. So he basically gave his life up to the bearyena and it lost a lot of life due to his poison. Thanks to him my tribe thrived and we got food from the dead bearyena. Woop woop!

  40. Just today I had the most adorable thing happen so first Kutaro showed up as a wanderer and hooked up with one of the leaders and together they founded the pink gem clan. They had a few children as you can see and this picture was taken when he was already dead for almost two generations (so glad I managed to take a picture of him) because at that time Tanunu shows up almost a perfect clone of Kutaro and that was just so sweet.

  41. I love it when that happens On my most recent tribe that started out on the Oasis (tho now they're on an easy island to stock up on food), I found a female with one wing! I immediately invited her into my tribe, and as I started to move her to the otheer side of the river to a male with non-matching immunity genes, a wandering male appeared.. with non-matching immunity genes! I proceeded to invite him into the tribe and those two had many children before she passed away of old age

  42. I found this little guy in a palm tree while on the Archipelago. I'm not sure if it's a bug or just luck, but either way, I'm amused.

  43. I once found this male wanderer and invited him into the tribe, and right behind him there was a female wanderer with immunity genes different to his. It was so adorable, even before I invited her in she kept following him around. I ended up breeding them because what else was I going to do?

  45. I didn't come to whale island with the intent of starting a purely flighted line, so when two wanderers showed up... that line would have more luck than all others combined. In total they had two beak genes, two wings, two big bodies, scorpion tail and peacock tail. Perfect starters, in other words. However, they shared an immunity gene. Their children turned out sick, blind, too weak to hunt and easy to bleed dry. Oh, and winged, beaked with a rec. Big body. So the best of the litter moved to a stinky tree in hopes that their children would be more healthy. Only, there was... a perfectly healthy, one winged, beaked female with two novel immunity genes. This was not the end of it. Fast forward two islands later, two old birds settle down in the Summer mountains. Their first ice block boasts a big bodied, mega. horned female. Exactly the gene they wanted. They have 6 children, no one inherits the B immunity. The new female steps up to the challenge and has... three children with a beak, one fully winged despite the mother's big nose and running legs. This line had unusually easy match ups in immunity from there on and went to unlock all genes. They lost the supporting line in the killer cold biome that provided food when they couldn't. In the end, they all go back in blood to those four wanderers.

  47. Once, in an old tribe that has long since been deleted, I killed a female wanderer so she wouldn't take my food. The next day, a Melanistic baby/teen shows up on the bones. I made that child an ORPHAN. My creatures had pity on her and invited her into the tribe. I felt so bad...
