I don't see it as much, but once it's in a gene pool it spreads like wildfire, so I think it's actually balanced now.2 points

This makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. Of course the short snout would become rare when every other snout is more useful.2 points

Well, you did get an interesting character out of it. I've only had three so far. My episodic memory, the memory for events, is downright horrible. Being a memorable nicheling are the 8 hours of fame. š2 points

I am waiting for the 10th september. Because I have school. And then I won't be able to catch up on the chemistry this horrible school system deprived me of. Because I have, eh, kind of school. Life is one big cycle of circular logic.2 points

These were left to starve by the mother. We could only speculate on what exactly went wrong. What we do know is that they were very close to a construction site. It seems the mother visited less and less and eventually lost her milk. This one was a screamer, though. Allerted the whole neighbourhood. As I visited them daily, they saw me more and more as the actual mom, which was a situation I had never had when feeding strays. Something was very wrong. There was no resistance when we took them. She didn't search. They didn't call. Sick and malnourished, the three survived and have homes now. Two didn't make it. I still don't know if they would have had, had we taken them earlier, or if more would have died, as every day counts at that age. This isn't a single tragedy. There are way too many strays on the streets. Even in Austria, cats like these "belong" to certain farmers that don't feed or feed too little. They refuse to get the females fixed. There are too many cats, too little space and too little food. If they don't starve, the road gets them. It's the same every damn year. The few that make it prolong the cycle of misery. I am not sure which fate is worse. The construction was just a trigger.2 points

Favourite Twins, huh? well this set of identical but not so identical twins has definetly won a place in my favourites I also liked this doomed set that is soon to die. the killer mountain gets me everytime :/as my last two an without much longer too live they were forced to be mates and had a healthy daugher that was eaten at the tender age of 2 days Last but not least come my blind swampy oracle twins. They couldn't do much, but I liked them anyway.2 points

I for some reason think it would be really nice if you could occasionally find a ramfox pup and take it in after it's pack is dead. You would be able to breed with it and have it hunt food for you. The genes I think it would give will be listed below. -Ram horns -Fox ears (3+hearing, just for looks) -Normal eyesight -Fox jaw (1+strength, 2+smelling) -Fluffy body (3+cold resistence, 1+speed, 1+strength) -Hunting claws (1+speed, 1+strength) -Normal hindlegs -Fluffy tail -White fur -Black eyes -Gray or white horns -White pattern -No pattern -Random pattern density and size -Normal blood clotting -High or normal fertility -Some random immunity genes? Or possibly one unique to the ramfoxes known as ramfox immunity? Oh well. Just felt like putting this idea out here.1 point

So, I just went to my main save file (the same one I reported on before here https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2414-save-somewhat-reset/ if that matters) to get some screenshots for the project I'm working on, and then I noticed the "No Gene" filter. I decided to use that filter and realized that it was for male creatures and blood clotting. The problem with this was I realized on the suspicious twins I had, the female also was missing a blood clotting gene: This convinced me that something was wrong as these twins were exactly identical except for their sex. I dismissed it as very extreme luck until I saw this since that no blood clotting gene is definitely a bug.1 point

So yesterday I managed to get there after all, took me ca 1100 game days - significantly more than 10 real life hours, although it is true I hadn't been playing in rush. As expected, without the immunity I couldn't really interact with the natives; what disappointed me most, though, was that the one interactive option I was given - attack - didn't work, either. The target took no damage (that's the disappointing part), and instead harmed or even killed quite a few of my own guys. Consequently, I decided to restart and try to keep the Star running. Boy, it's frikking hard! I've been trying the speed version of yours, Jojo, but now I got to a Mountain island, and I'm a sucker for that. ^^1 point

My purple guys :3 My most recent and most favourite twins, they were explorers for the whole life and shared the same mate at the end of it both having one child each Lucky boys where both could pick poison berries And my very first twins, when I got them I was like 'whyyyyyyy do my first twins have to be from a horny male' but they really grew on me in the course of their lives1 point

It's probably a mercy from the devs ^^ (and I am more than happy with this mercy lol ) Also this is in bugs... should I move it?1 point

Now this is a funny one. I sort my family tree icons/ Nichelings after age. Oldest all to the left and younger siblings then after them. So the youngest will be on the right. What I noticed is that when I exit the game (to main menu or desktop) and come back in the young creatures are all the way to the left and the old ones are right, completly ignoring the nice family units I set up in the family tree. I can provide the safe file if needed, though I think it occurs in multiple ones1 point

Hey there! The name's WolfDragonPlasma (though, please, just call me either Dragon or Plasma; the full thing is a mouthful XD). I've been a player of Niche since September of last year, but this is the first instance of me actually wishing to connect more with other Niche players. Or, at the very least, join the Discord Server and the Forums and just lurk, since that's usually what I do X'D Hm...Let's see....I'm a US American female with a love for animals and a passion for gaming. Games I enjoy are usually the adventure type that allow you to play as an animal (ie Okami, Spyro the Dragon, etc.), or animal sims (WolfQuest, Niche, etc.) but I'm not opposed to playing other types of games if I like them enough. Let's see....what else...I have four cats (all girls) and two dogs (both boys), though I've more or less become a cat person. That's not to say I don't love and appreciate dogs though; heck, one of my favorite animal species is the Grey Wolf, which dogs are a subspecies of. I just won't be getting anymore dogs in the future XD1 point

Good morning! I'm Goggles! (But literally everyone on Steam calls me Juno.) I'm a huge Nintendo fangirl, and I especially take interest in the Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon series. I also like genetics, so that's probably why I'm here! Niche has made an interesting shift in my life, but I'm not obsessed with it... (anymore, at least.) But I still like to do things, like stalk Niche's Twitter page š Oh, hobbies. My hobbies aren't particularly special, but I love to draw and play games. And that's pretty much it. Uh... Stay Fresh, or whatever.1 point

Thanks, this is a bug ^^ Sounds like the genes were copies from the other twin and not adapted to be female Wow, this is a very rare bug, thanks for finding it!1 point

Bearyenas leave your animals with Distasteful Appearance alone UNLESS they are super hungry. They have internal stats for hunger and other motivations like fear, etc. I really need to make a feature request to add a new feature that makes these states visible when playing.1 point

Thanks for the report @Pokestardragacraft! This is a problem that only occurs when having played on the preview branches. So we are considering it fixed for now ^^1 point

If this is added, it would be nice if the ramfox would sometimes pick up whatever it kills and dropped it next to the nearest tribe member, since they do hunt as packs, they probably would share some food with their new pack.1 point
