  1. Creating your own islands. Allowing for most genes to be unlocked on one. For roleplaying purposes, as in warriors style, toggling off immunity sickness.

  2. some photos from my birds challenge! mom pastelle and her husband emmit and some of her children! ❤️The scorpion tailed one is not one of their children but part of an arranged marriage named after the original frosting on this thread! Pastelle's 4th child. Born after the previous screenshot was taken. And it won't be their last! ❤️ and of course this gorgeous boy back from when I was still on whale island...I live his colors and patterning!

  3. As the title says: If we only could have one sandbox feature which one would you want and why? I personally would love to have the age option. It would be great for roleplaying and I basically have wanted this since the game was still in early acess. I NEEED it!

  6. Hi Unfortunately it is very unlikely that we'll add multiplayer for Niche. We could basically need to reprogram to whole game to get this running.

  7. Creating my own starter pair has been my dream for a long time. If it was combined with starting with a pack, that would be perfect for a Warriors challenge!

  8. @Snowystar32 This suggestion didn't make it into the features list for the new update. But it could still get there if we run another voting In general I'd recommend splitting your ideas into separate suggestions instead of making a list. What also helps to get votes is to some make simple illustrations (you don't have to be a good drawer).

  10. Right now we only have 3 eye types, nothing really suited for any specific traits or biomes. Here are my suggestions: Fish Eyes, and Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes: More recessive than Normal, Shortsighted, and Blind eyes, but dominant over Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes allow a creature to see 3 tiles underwater, but only 1 on land. Visually, they would be very round (kind of like derp snout eyes). There are no whites of the eye, only the iris (dependent on eye color) and a slightly misshapen, shiny pupil. (based on real fish eyes, of course.) Bird Eyes: More recessive than all eye genes. On the ground, it would be like any normal eye, being able to see 2 tiles away. But in a tree or on a stump, they can see extra far. Also, you know how when a normal-eyed Nicheling is in the grass, the tiles directly around them have translucent grass? Bird-eyed Nichelings would have 2 tiles of translucent grass. Visually, they would be sharp, pointed eyes with small irises and pupils. Thanks for reading

  15. Nope. Not copying and pasting Up's summary... Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman, is about to fulfill a lifelong dream. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, he flies away to the South American wilderness. But curmudgeonly Carl's worst nightmare comes true when he discovers a little boy named Russell is a stowaway aboard the balloon-powered house. A Pixar animation.

  16. I get super attached to certain creatures really easily so it would be so awesome to be able to customize each ones lifespan (Maybe life edit it? So if you notice one you adore about to die you could add more days, or even perhaps an immortality option? On a toggle of course, not every critter needs to live forever - unless you really want to take conquering and island seriously) It could open up really interesting story potential, because in sandbox it's generally less about surviving as a species and more about random fun with genetics and the personalities of your creatures, especially paired with other suggestions. With longer lifespans and sickness/immunity genes toggled off, you could have a King and a Queen being the only ones allowed to have children and forge the tribe out of the royal lines progeny. With longer lifespans and the ability for more than one tribe in a single game, you could have a pack of near-immortals and fleeting mere days of life in the other. Longer lifespans and the option to toggle immortality in a creature could give deities to lead your pack for your entire game. It would make for really interesting game play, and very customizable to what each player wants to do with it.

  22. I actually observed this a while back. It’s based on the amount of posts you have. It’s been a while but I think one dot means 30 posts, two dots means 96 posts, and three means 250 posts.

  23. This would be amazing and very useful for those doing a blind genes challenge - especially anyone who wants to record the challenge for youtube. No more worries about accidentally clicking the wrong thing.

  24. I had that happen to me in older versions too. Always had a little rage fit because no mother would let her baby die. If the mother had died to, I'd get it but not with the mother basically unscathed (that's what happened in my game).

  26. I would like to be able to have two separate packs in one game. When I'm doing a game with two oping packs, it can be hard two control because I need lots of food to support two packs that should really be able to exist on their own without depending on one to be able to feed themselves. So, with a flip of a button, you could switch from pack to pack.

  29. Ok, tested it Check the attributes tab, animals with white fur get camouflage in the snow / mountains. The bug is that it's not displayed in the text.

  30. Hmm, I just checked in the game. Seems like this is implemented. I'll look into it, maybe there is a bug.

  31. Well if they added something where your nichelings can attack one another, then this could work for rival packs as well. You have your different gem markers and naming so then you could attack the other tribe or any of your own nichelings as well. Though if their strength is obviously lower then the nicheling they want to attack they cant. I don't know. Just thinking.
