Hey! Have you reached the 1000th generation of nichelings, and still keeping those same genes? Is it getting kinda boring, you wanna try something new, but you couldn't survive without your long developed gene system? You have found a way of fighting those apes with winged nichelings. It would be terrible to suddenly change your gene selection. Unless those 1000 generations of evolution paid off, and your nichelings have reached an unique way of doing things. If you have kept one gene, for example nimble fingers in your family for 1000 generations: If you breed two double nible finger creatures together, there's a small change for you to gain an upgraded version of it. For example, you could get a "berry paw"; ) wich could give you three collecting and two cracking, or maybe a climbing paw with normal nimble finger stats and a climbing ability. If you kept two genes for the same slot, for example webbed paw and claw in your genepool for 1000 generations: If you breed a double webbed paw creature with a double claw creature, there's a small change to get a combo gene. In this case, the swimming claw. (another name option is webbed claw, wich one do you like the best?) It would give 1 swimming, 1 attack and 1 fishing.3 points

Whaaat? I'm not experienced in the realm of illnesses, but I'm pretty sure that's not a mental illness ya big goofball. Do you even know what "mental illness" means?2 points

Interesting idea, not sure how I feel about it yet but could certainly offer something to longer playthroughs2 points

Propably not, but I'm not sure. If it was possible, then stepping on them would break the mushrooms.2 points

Seriously! Why has no one suggested this before? The first one appears on random grass tiles when it rains. Appears in grassland and swamp biomes. Is safe to collect. Gives one food. The second ones appear in groups of one to three when it rains. Can be found everywhere exept for savannah and snow biomes. They spawn around trees. They are safe to collect and give one food each. Third one can only be found in jungle and swamp biomes. Like all mushrooms, these appears when it rains. As you can propably guess by it's apperance, it's poisonous. It gives two food. Fourth species glows in the dark. Can only be found in svamps and jungles (and caves, if those ever become a thing). They appear in groups from two to five when it rains. Collecting them gives you poison effect for a day and makes you stinky. They give 1 food each.1 point

I know, no Multiplayer for Niche, it would take too much time to add it, but hear me out!!! I am not talking about a real multiplayer where you'd have to connect two computers one way or an other. I am talking about a hot seat multiplayer, basically running two packs/tribes in one game instance and switching between the two I sadly don't know anything about programming a game but I imagine this to be a lot less work than online or lan multiplayer, if this is still too much work then just ignore it -one would start at opposite sides of an island -recources like collected food and nest material are counted seperately -default gem colors might be different for both? example: P1's Nichelings are born with blue gems until changed and P2 gets orange as default. wanderes still green. -player 1 gets the first turn to move all his Nichelings, when he ends the day player 2 starts. next round player 2 starts and 1 ends ->that way noone would have the privilege to always harvest berrys before the other one has the chance -you can't breed with members of the other players pack or invite them in, similar like with the adams on homeisland ->exeption: if a banished member wanders around, he is free for the taking With this multiplayer mode, your creatures wouldn't only have to adapt to a static enviroment but also have to compete against an equally adaptable group and either search it's own niche next to it or fight for dominance over that niche Problems: -Island travel might be problematic and would either have to be impossible in that mode or maybe as soon as one travels, the other gets to pick the same number of Nichelings from whereever they stand at that moment -One could make a unnecessary move just to give that one nasty rouge a move to get to the other players female without them being able to do anything against it...might not be a problem but I'm not sure about that -I really don't know if this is as relatively simple as I think it is or if it would take lots and lots of time one could spend with 5 other features >_< ///Edit: I just thought about an explenation why the tribes would be active at different times and how about that gets linked to daytime? so one could pretend tribe 1 is dayactive and 2 is nocturnal, changing the light a bit but letting everything else be the same otherwise (and pretend rabbils are active all around the day). of course then the 12211221 rhythm I thought about would make no sense anymore, but if one always gets the days and the other the nights, then let the weather change and berry growth rythm be linked to that, counting for this purpose each players (or if you play both yourself, both tribes) turn as an entire day, but aging wise only day+night=1 for example, at the end of a sunny day, tribe 1 gets to sleep. as tribe 2 awakens for the night it starts to rain and the berrys grow back, they are thankful fot this, since the night before there was hardly any food to be found because of the drought1 point

amazing, also maybe the poisonous mushrooms can appear underground? also I made underground mushrooms1 point

Good idea, I also have an idea called Viper fangs, it is made by a combo of sabertooth fangs and poison fangs What about this too, Condor wings, these enable hovering in the air after fly and attack is used, and the creature will have no camo and cannot be attacked(by things that have short range) while in the air, until it lands1 point

Ooh that spreading idea is so fun! And yes, picking from clusters is based on collecting skill.1 point

I like the idea! I have a couple of questions though; if you have mushrooms that can be in clusters and you donβt collect them right away, will more mushrooms grow in that spot and maybe spread to other spots? Also, when there are clusters, is picking them up based on collecting skills?1 point

Oops! I thought about copy pasting, but I thought that would be a slight bit over the top. As for the driver card, it took me about half an hour to even find out how to tell if I had one, but I did screenshot the screen, so I'll just post that. Computer Information: Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Right now we only have 3 eye types, nothing really suited for any specific traits or biomes. Here are my suggestions: Fish Eyes, and Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes: More recessive than Normal, Shortsighted, and Blind eyes, but dominant over Bird Eyes. Fish Eyes allow a creature to see 3 tiles underwater, but only 1 on land. Visually, they would be very round (kind of like derp snout eyes). There are no whites of the eye, only the iris (dependent on eye color) and a slightly misshapen, shiny pupil. (based on real fish eyes, of course.) Bird Eyes: More recessive than all eye genes. On the ground, it would be like any normal eye, being able to see 2 tiles away. But in a tree or on a stump, they can see extra far. Also, you know how when a normal-eyed Nicheling is in the grass, the tiles directly around them have translucent grass? Bird-eyed Nichelings would have 2 tiles of translucent grass. Visually, they would be sharp, pointed eyes with small irises and pupils. Thanks for reading1 point

Hi there, since digging is atm not used very much, I thought it would be nice to give it a few extra uses. For example, if you have double-digging claws you can dig up moles and that a nearby nicheling has to kill immediately or it flees again. After that, the digging-nicheling can use that burrow for a few turns to hide himself from predators or even travel through the mole-tunnels to a different burrow in the cleared area overseen by other nichelings. But only for a few days safely, after that they recieve damage since their bigger bodies block fresh air to come in (like drowning in the sea). Greetings, Kaga871 point

I too would love to see this added. Having the ability to create custom maps is one of the things I like a lot in games especially strategy based ones. This could also tie into the request for Challenges with Win Conditions. Being able to either hand craft or define some parameters for the island would fit well together.1 point
