  1. rogue male and wanderer between a rock and a thorny place. Another specimen. I've been finding these quite often. Does this count as a bug or can nothing be done?

  2. This suggestion was brought to you by my crippling obsession over Splatoon You can take this either way and call it "octopus body" instead x33 Okay, so... that's what I imagine it would look like. (If you're confused by the triangle on it's shoulder, it's supposed to resemble a squid's head... kinda like this) "And why are the eyes so box-y?!", You ask. My idea is that if the squid body gene is in effect, the pupils turn into rectangles. My reason? Squids have rectangular pupils. But squids also have circular and oval-shaped pupils you dingus! Okay, so, what would the squid body do? My proposed idea: they can shoot ink whilst underwater. How would this work? Say a leech sneaks up behind your innocent creature while underwater. The player has the option to squirt ink directly at the leech, and it would travel for two tiles. This stuns the leech for a full in-game day, and therefore, allows the creature to escape. This is also applicable to creatures like bearyenas and wanderers (if also underwater.) There could be an option where you can choose what direction you want to shoot ink. "But what about camera direction," you ask. "wouldn't that screw up where the ink goes?" Actually, good point there, Francis! ...I'm sure there's a logical proposed solution but I can't think of one right now. Other than the option to shoot ink, what else does this give you? +2 swimming +1 Underwater breathing Happy ink shooting!

  4. This is simple fish have gills they can not breath on land every other animal has lungs and can not breath under water if you have not been fallowing me if you have gills in real life you would not be able to breath on land if this is true why should niche be any diffrent as to where you could breath it is a realistic genetics game after all this is not the most important thing on this list of things that should be in the game but it would be a cool little thing to have if niche with no gills can not breath under water niche with gills should not be able to breath on land

  6. As DogCatCowPig said, what is 'behind'? You can't really determine that. Also, dunno if you know but the rectangluar pupils were removed from toxic body. Buuuuut, adorable drawing! Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, it basically looks like a waterbody rip off with rectangle eyes. Still cute tho.

  7. I would love to be able to select different lifespans As it is I haven't been playing much. I find it hard to get attached to my nichelings when they die so quickly .n.

  8. how do you determine what is behind? they always face you so you could just turn the camera to change where behind is. and why would you need to shoot ink at a leech? just attack it. can the ink work at all on land?

  9. Yikes. The second rouge had --theoretically-- the ability to leave over the field with a root on it. He didn't move until he died, even with three females around. The others were just stuck. The Oasis gets plenty of rogues on small islands. I didn't have too many stuck creatures anywhere else though, the not too many being the odd bearyena. Wanderers stop moving in an attempt to dig up a root. That usually spans over a couple days, but what is the rogue doing? Do they dig? Can they dig?

  10. @Philo The gills are very weak already, though. Would they receive better stats? No smelling at all is very bad.

  11. There are some fish-like creatures that have gills and can breathe on land too Eels for example. They encouraged us to have gilled creatures that can live on land in the game ^^ Though I agree it would be interesting to have "water-only" and "land-only" creatures. (Given the water biomes were a bit more interesting). Then the gilled creatures would maybe take damage when staying on land for too long.

  12. Yes, that is true. I have had problems with crashing, but that was back when it was not out of full release, but after a while I got over the problem and the game runs smoothly.

  13. Hello! I go by my screen name Arenji, and I just found the forums and decided to join! I've been following Niche for awhile after finding it through JesiMew on YouTube and I finally got it a few months ago now and absolutely love it! I'm a huge nerd about basically everything, science, history, comics, books, nature, you name it there's a good chance I'll nerd out about it. I'm hopefully going into robotics and or material engineering next year but for now I'm bar tending and doing quite a bit of photography and hiking! See you all around!
