I think a major bug is that once you change a critter's genes, it makes the creature age faster than normal. I can't think of any real bugs that "break" the game, but I think that one was the major one.3 points

Basically what I am going to do is make tons of savefiles on different islands of your choice and share the best or luckiest ones with you! I will not make any progress, just have the starters so you can ‘pick’ their genes without using the console of course others can do the same, and we can all share our best starting pairs. All of the saves I make will be in slot four. i will start this tomorrow. Which islands are your favorites so I know which islands to start on?2 points

When I first played Niche, there were some really confusing things. For instance, when you look at the genes in the mutation menu. Some descriptions just really are not helpful. For peacock tail, its purpose is to increase your chances of attracting outsiders. To attract outsiders, you have to stand on top of a stump or tree and then call out. But the mutation menu doesn't explain this. It just says "+2 attractiveness" For purr snout, it says "adds ability to purr" But it doesn't explain what benefit the purring ability gives. I had no idea it let you heal Nichelings. Recently I thought there was a bug because I was spending time on a cold island, but the counter wasn't going up for genes like antlers or big body. Turns out that the island has particularly cold days, and you have to wait for these times. I didn't know! That's why I thought it would be nice to have a guidebook! It could explain the benefits in detail of each gene. It could also provide detail about islands, what kind of weather to expect. Or even other animals like razarenas, meat eating plants, rabbils, bearyenas, etc. WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE I got the idea from playing Oxygen Not Included. There are a lot of things in this game that you have to pay attention to, so they have a database explaining things in detail. The database button is in the top right corner. When you click on it, you can choose what kind of information you want to look up. If it were implemented in Niche, I imagine it would say something like... >genes >islands >plants >animals Just click on what you want for more detailed information! That way it's way less confusing for new players!1 point

Every time you attempt to edit a drone with a speed sensor, the sensor will set its value to the nearest multiple of 10 (0, 10, 20, . . . , 140, 150). For example, I have a logic system that requires a speed sensor set to 1. If I launch the drone it will work properly. If I launch it again, it will still work properly. If I click edit and do not manually set the sensor to 1 before hitting Save and Exit the drone will not work properly when I launch because the sensor will have set itself to 0,1 point

Now that there are tutorials ingame, the code part or the logic gate oart could ve locked away behind an expert logic tutorial without much help fr the game, an a logic part i would like to see would be rising edge, falling edge and dual egde monostable circuits1 point

I have been searching for blue ore for advancing my weapons, and so far after ~6 planets and two star systems, I haven't seen any. Where does this show up?1 point

Thanks, I found some! I had to bring some coolers and fight a giant hammer-head, but now I have multi-beam lasers.1 point

Never really had a problem with them. I like playing zoomed in, so when they spawn they don't really obscure my vision. I just leave the mom on the nest anyway out of habit, even when the blue birds aren't around. I do understand how that would be annoying for other players tho. I think that making them less visible when zooming in would be a good idea. The game already gives you audio cues to let you know that the birds are around. Leaving the baby alone on a hard island after you hear the bird caw.... that just seems like carelessness to me.1 point

Isn't missing save files the biggest bug?1 point

You should be able to find blue ore only on the lava planets - and there only in the inner parts of the planet. The placement and amount (needed for upgrades) must still be balanced and tweaked1 point

I just got an idea Okay so what if the direction counts on where your island starts. Like, we have the north, east, and west ports so we can determine it like that. In front of a nicheling is like where the port came from. Since I can't explain, here's an example of what I mean. Basically an example with my current port. I hope this helps you and makes sense!1 point

Can you walk me through it? I'm still really confused lol1 point

@Philo Unfortunately, no. I have tried restarting multiple times without a result, and after waiting a couple of weeks and then opening the save again, it has yet to award me the achievement.1 point

I actually haven’t used the console yet. But I might start a new testing save to find out myself1 point

The new update has support to share drones over the Steam Workshop. Please test it and report your feedback1 point

I like the idea that you can customize your drone to your liking and make it more personal and give it character. Maybe a small 5x5 LED display or so you can can freely set up You have my upvote1 point

Nope. Not copying and pasting Up's summary... Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman, is about to fulfill a lifelong dream. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, he flies away to the South American wilderness. But curmudgeonly Carl's worst nightmare comes true when he discovers a little boy named Russell is a stowaway aboard the balloon-powered house. A Pixar animation.1 point

Omega, take a look at this one. This part can fully replace a number of logic gates, as well as compress the function of multiple and complex conditions into a relatively simple table.1 point
