  2. Short answer: Make parts spread heat! Long answer: One of the problems one can have, with the new heating system, is that heat doesn't disapate (easily) between parts. This can be troublesome, and even with a heater or cooler, it can be difficult to maintain consistent temperatures around a drone. Even if the front part of the drone is overheating, should you activate the cooler, you may end up freezing other parts. My solution is a radiator part. The radiator does not create or destroy heat, but instead transfers it around parts. Parts near a radiator will attempt to change to the temperature of the radiator, while the radiator will attempt to change to the temperature of the surrounding parts. This will cause the temperature differences to quickly even out over a large drone.

  3. Howdy! i did post this on twitter so yeah, you might see it there.... but i decided id post it here too As you can see here, there are multiple things wrong. For one, the port has a river running through it. Is this normal, or a generation bug? For two, my starters have genes that would normally not appear on starters. The male has platypus beak, and water body, while the female has gills, and double webbed paws. NORMAL?? also, the color of the water. Its been a joke between me and my friend that i hate purple water, but like, why is it purple? is that a bug too??

  4. Good suggestion I'm not yet happy with how you control the heat/cold on your drone, especially the thermometer. I think your radiator is a good suggestion which would work fine exactly as you describe. This is something we have to address eventually and your suggestion is a good one. Will keep it in mind when the time comes. Thank you very much!

  5. Upvoted, great suggestion I also want to have a "real" minimap which shows the actual planet structure (which is technically possible). Maybe we could pack all these things and some more into a update-pack. Not yet sure how to implement Fog or War. Maybe you would really have to "see" it with camera parts, maybe it's enough if your "satellites" see it (and not the camera).

  8. Short answer: add filter gates! Long answer: a filter gate is a timing device, which will require its input to be active for a period of time before activating its output. It’s output shuts off as soon as it’s input does, however. This filter gate is just one of those things I would just really like to use, and along with the buffer gate, could help with timing devices.

  11. Maybe a radar part? For example, if you set it to 360º its radio of action would be smaller but if it was like 30º it would have a way better range.

  12. That is actually a good question. I think you need to have a higher stat in whatever sense you want to hide from or be completly out of range from the predator . Ex: bearyena has two sight you have three camouflage so you should be save (provided nothing else gives you away) or you have zero camouflage but are like three or four tiles away and you should be safe too....in theory XD I am pretty sure it works that way with apes too but as they have stats of six you need quite a bit of stealth and stuff. I was able to hide from bearyenas on deadly hill with creatures who had moss brown fur because it boosted their camouflage quite a bit

  13. Sounds useful. Maybe someday we have to spent a certain amount of time to add all these great ideas for logic parts. This filter sounds really useful for the sumo, makes me getting new ideas Keep posting all these ideas❤️

  14. @Finnwinter Well, you never know One of my favorites is "Anala" and there is also Isis (though that is an egyptian godness too, so it's fine ;))

  15. I know a few ways to use a 555. But today i would just use a small uC. But you are right, i'm pretty sure there are much more options to use this little timer than the things i used it for But to get back to a more plausible reality we just can hope for the devs to implement a few basic timer-blocks. Edit: Typo...

  16. Factoring time into some timer-gates would be a nice addition! Something like a NE555 On delay, off delay, with and without retrigger would be a nice start...

  18. I hope that we are going to have such a part in the game sooner or later, but also on the enemies side to disable shields and so on. We thought about it many times, but it will be something to implement somewhen in the future after several other things. (Unless it gets really high votes XD )

  22. Very sorry for the double post, but I just played for a couple of hours and got some of the coolest Nichelings. First we have the Twins! Their parents were older and not having very good children, but I decided to breed them one last time on mom's last day. Behold! Nightfury and ShadowClaw. Next, Violet and her mother. Violet is my first patterned Toxic body. I actually didnt know they could have patterns. Last two pictures are of my favorite breeding pair and their growing family.

  23. Thanks! There were a couple iterations before this craft where I was fine tuning the part layout and the vacuum design. It came together pretty well for the restrictions in place. Only takes a few minutes to bring in well over 2k yellow.

  24. I think this is an interesting suggestion. But we would need a coherent system throughout all mechanical/technical enemies&structures, so that your EMP tool would work everywhere the same way. Keep voting for the stuff you like best

  25. Haha, yes, the new big snake We made it much more dangerous. The idea was, that you NEED to build a faster drone do escape the big snake. Or maybe you find a way to confuse it so you can escape more easily Maybe needs a bit more balancing.... or you need faster drones for this mission Great gifs here. I love reading your stories and feedback ❤️ @DethLazrs4Lyfe Great drone design. I love this creative solution

  26. See, this is why I wish the game was more specific about genes and what they do I never have velvet paw in my tribes because I don't understand how stealth works.

  29. They work quite similar to buttons. I.e. assign a normal button to the trigger a logic trigger, put a tag into the tag-output and the same tag to the tag-input of a shield and you can turn on/off the shields with the press of a single button. I hope its clear how to use them now. If not, just ask

  42. Brief question. Which tech? Most of the enemies currently just shoot guns at you, and a lot of the planetary enemies are not technological. Is this for sumo?
