  1. I think that was suggested before. I kinda agree, because all the fauna I ever get from the ocean is abandoned kids (unironically they usually spawn near the same spot, too)

  2. Keep going! Your albino peacock boys are, like, super adorable! I just looked up "albino peacock" and I seriously don't regret it. So majestic.

  3. It would be interesting if there were some blocks that could convert energy to fuel and the other way around. A generator that consumes fuel to produce energy with an on switch in its logic would be a basic example

  6. I noticed that too. With wanderers and rogues, I don't mind it that much when rogues do it though ^^

  7. I have only counted 6 objectives so far (transmitter, hive, snake eggs, bio barrel, unstable core, sumo) and am just throwing some suggestions out there for more Infiltrate - enter a base and steal steal the heavily guarded treasure. Would be cool to use cryogenic weaponry to freeze cameras, plasma to create a smokescreen to block a laser, bio to dig around a very secure area, or just charge in there guns blazing racing the timer for the vault to close Egg retrieval - collect the fragile egg of a rare creature for study and conservation, but the mother wont be happy about it. Extra challenge if there isnt enough magnetic material in the egg to pick it up with a magnet Destroy - an interplanetary parasite has infected this planet beyond recovery, destabilise the core so it destroys the planet before the parasite can spread. Maybe use plasma or cryogenic weaponry to heat up or cool down the core Scan - organisms have somehow managed to inhabit the harsh climate of this planet, observe and scan them so we can learn a bit more about surviving in this climate. Go around the surface and scan? maybe just get kinda close to native creatures. It could either be very hot, very cold, or a permanent meteor shower. Dismantle - take apart and retrieve parts of a crashed ship that are dangerous to the ecosystem. Perhaps parts of the ships defence system is still functional Dogfight - a malicious drone is on the loose, take it down. Like the sumo arena, except the goal is to destroy the other drone with weapons instead of pushing it out of the ring And also a couple of objective modifiers which change how you take on the challenge Interference - drone cannot be controlled, like in the sumo arena. The challenges are much simpler though and it can only apply for certain levels Territorial - a giant snake mom ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) has inhabited this planet and does not like intruders Tides - a very large moon orbits the planet which causes a tidal effects on a much larger scale, to the point of nullifying gravity or doubling it Rich Resources - theres a lot of natural resources on the planet, but because of this theres a lot of enemies to defend it I also drew a little bit for each objective/modifier because I was bored

  8. One time my friendly bearyena kept going into deep water and we had to corral him back onto land. It was a waste of time for me, BUT I NEEDED THOSE EDGE-LORD GENES! Also, A moment of silence for all those creatures that drowned themselves on their last day. In the savanna we CAN'T drown! Ha! Amateur!

  9. I think we maybe should add a fear for water tiles ^^? Then they would only go in if they're super desperate

  10. Aside from the bug that rogue males get stuck in the water by themselves or if a female leads them there... This little one almost died digging up worms. Digging up worms may not be a bug, but it damages wanderers regularly. Should this be fixed?

  11. Sorry for all the late entry ideas hahaha. What about just a simple entry mode where it randomises everything, like even the type of island you land on so you can just set up a quick game without needing to overthink it hahaha.

  12. Two quick suggestions which may have already been made but I have not seen. First is custom parts. Allowing for creating line a chain of batteries and having it available for other drones also like a laser wheel or rocket wheel. Second single part editing and rotation mostly, oops put a block facing the wrong way but have over 100 parts connected allow for rotation of just that part. Mostly the balance sensors Other suggestions that I have seen is multi part selection, multi link have one part linked to two parts for more stable builds (maybe just a new part that does this so it doesn't change the current system much), and a link optimizer select a series of parts and link them together in the most efficient way possible.

  13. Hey, i asked help for this bug 2 days ago in discord, but nothing helped so im telling my story here now. Basically i play the game , make few ships , do missions and such and then boom game doesnt save, but still shows me "slot 1 [3 hours and 50 minutes played] " but nothing is saved in it. In discord someone told me to exit out of the game properly "You gotta fully exit out of even the galaxy chart into the opening menu to fully save." Eventho im doing that it does not help. version 0.5.7 Included "save" file Slot1.nSave

  14. Make it so that there's an option for the keys you press or certain keys to be able to go through the logic splitter. It's frustrating sometimes because you want to have a creation with normal controls, but you also want there to be multiple of them, and logic splitters won't allow you to control them individually. Maybe even make it so that each drone the factory makes has different tags for each one?

  15. Well, I just started playing with this just a little bit ago, but it definitely seems like a lot of fun. But I definitely felt a little lost after coming from KSP with all its stats, and I found that not knowing my TWR at least made it into a big guessing game as to how many thrusters to put on a drone. Of course, I'm sure with experience one would have a better idea of how much thrust to have, but having this information available from the start, or at least unlockable at some point, would make the design flow much smoother, I think. But apart from that, I think it seems quite fun! I'll keep playin with it and see what I can come up with. =D

  16. We'll work on the whole energy/fuel mechanic a bit in the future where we'll add new features. I think you have an interesting suggestion which we'll definitely add to our discussion. Thank you for sharing

  17. In the drone editor, when I press a key on my keyboard, it would be really useful if any block that has that key assigned to it would highlight on the drone (press "D" and these blocks will activate, press "A" and these blocks will activate.. etc. - see examples attached) To avoid lots of flashing blocks with every mouse click/hotkey press as we build, this would be best suited to being a "mode" that could be toggled on/off on the UI (top left). This would make setting up all of our controls and weapons systems much more visual and intuitive. With such a system, we could quickly check that our mapped control/weapon scheme is how we intend ... and then quickly locate/identify/fix any mistakes before doing a test flight. Similarly, it would help if any block without a key assignment (but that needs one) could also highlight individually (same way as the overlap visual cue currently works), rather than just a general warning that means something is unnassigned somewhere on your drone. Hope this is useful!

  18. Currently the only "advantage" of big batteries or fuel tank is that it takes less time than to place, however the smaller parts make it easier to squeeze them in. For fuel tanks the bigger ones also deal disproportionatly more damage (50, 100, 500) on explosion. There should be an upside to using a 2x2 block instead of 4 1x1 or 2 1x2 blocks. This would then also properly scale with the increased danger of a bigger fuel tank. Since we already have the supercapacitor and booster tank it would make the most sense in my eyes to boost the energy/fuel regeneration of the bigger blocks and slightly reduce the regeneration of the 1x1 blocks. Maybe 5/8 for 1x1 to 3/5, 1x2 stays the same and 2x2 gets buffed to 25/40. Another interesting thing would be connection bonuses. For example connecting a shield or weapon on a battery could reduce their energy requirements by 10% and connecting thrusters to fuel tanks could reduce fuel requirements by 10%. This bonus could scale with blocksize.

  19. Works in full-screen too, now! Thanks for fixing. FYI: I do sometimes see a warning that the game is not responding after launch, and have to choose "Wait" after which the game quickly starts. So my guess is that the Steam Launcher thinks the game is too slow to launch?

  20. Originally I got two brothers who were born to the same parents who looked like they could be twins. Their parents didn't look anything like them, so I was surprised. I was kind of sad when they got old. But then the younger of the two had a baby (pic 3) that looked just like him the day he died. 😂 Then that one started getting old and before he died he had a baby.(Pic 4) It turned out to be the odd duck of the family. We'll see if I can continue the line.

  21. Make the gravity sensor detect nearby hives, or eggs for the snake mission, or even bio barrels. they could also detect any large monsters on the world, like the snake, or the lava shark, or bosses if those get added in

  22. Interesting suggestion. You can already use the "logic connector" which passes through all "global" key presses. But it would be neat if you could add "exceptions" to the "logic splitter". Thank you for the suggestions, very useful

  23. I've noticed the indicators for empty keybinds and too many parts with one anchor point, but it would be nice for a visual on those specific parts or anchor points so the player knows what still needs to be changed. Even if it's just an overlay that is toggled that shows stresses, or a number for the amount of anchor points left before instability is reached. Overall, great game and happy with the purchase, and I look forward to future updates. :)

  24. I'm glad that you all have been thinking about enhancing the UI more. Another good way to reduce the stress on the ships would be to allow users to reinforce positions with multiple anchor points, so you can create connected chains in the ships that anchor back to the core. But for the visuals, I think you all did a great job at leaving windows for yourselves. You can use weight maximums per drone part, or stress grading, or anchor point limits. I look forward to seeing what you all decide is best.

  26. I think he means being able to take a group of parts and instead of copy and pasting them, save them so that you can paste them later, possibly in another drone. So if you have a particular group of parts that you like using (like a factory block that produce a large missile), you don't have to make it from scratch every time you want to add it to a new drone. If that isn't what he means, then consider adding it anyway, because that will be very useful for those of us that like to reuse ideas/configurations from previous drones.

  27. Interesting idea. It could be something like a targeting-laser. You can aim at a position and let your smaller drones fly there

  29. Hm, interesting, because the Steam FPS counter actually says I get between 307-310fps, that's why I said >300fps Also, I got the idea from Overwatch. There you can set the limit to "30fps", "display-based" or "custom", with the latter allowing you to set it to any value between 30-300fps.

  31. An overview where all keys and tags are listed. Clicking a key/tag in the list will highlight all the parts that are using it. Input and output will have different colours and maybe even a visible connection (straight line with a flow-effect from out to in?)

  33. So I just thought of an alternative that can avoid the problem of multiple beacons. Basically it would be a part or weapon upgrade/ammo that shoots out a beacon that sticks to whatever it hits, whether it be terrain, an object, or an enemy. Each time it is fired, the previous beacon is lost/destroyed. Maybe have it have outputs for if it is attached to enemies, terrain, ore, or something else and an input that causes it to self destruct or deactivate. I can see it being part of a setup where once stuck onto an ore deposit, automated drones will seek it out to gather resources until the ore around it is collected and it drops to some non-ore terrain, whereupon it gives an output that matches its deactivation input.

  39. I do like the idea of an adjustable effect arc though. And maybe a tractor beam that can hold things at a distance, rather than bringing them in, @Micha

  40. The logic parts are wireless, so distance should not be a problem. You can achieve this by using an OR-Part

  41. There desperately needs to be a multi-select in the editor so you can select multiple of the same part and Clone as well as set the key to activate. also a shortcut to set the activate key would be helpful(although less needed with multi-select) Preferably multiple methods like Drag Select and CTRL Click.

  42. Also, distance sensors should be able to detect them!
