Well, we have melanism and albinism, so why not piebaldism? Oh, right... Some of you don't know what piebaldism is. *ahem* Piebaldism is kind-of like a weird blend of albinism and normal skin. It's where some parts of the body have missing pigments, resulting in that part being pure white. In animals, it looks like this: EDIT: I have been told that the dog has a similar disorder called vitiligo; not piebaldism. So, to make up for it, have a cute piebald fawn. Other than it looking beautiful, it doesn't really affect health. I think it would look something like this in Niche? What do you guys think of piebaldism in Niche?4 points

A couple ladybugs (look at all my birbs!) from my Farsea Feathers Tribe (tribe name inspired by Seri's videos) oof - Ladybug is having a rough day :,( Petei is the only ladybug on this island in the archipelago--I'm going to help him find a mate soon. Some of my Larkspur Warriors! Aren't they pretty? The pretty color combos make up for the cracker jaws imo. (the gray and tan mask combo is really popular in my tribe for some reason...probably from the healthy incest) The mother in the nest is the original Larkspur. She isn't the founder, but one of the founders' children and first official clan leader. Her child grew up to be Larkstar, the next in line. Twins! Firepaw and Icepaw! the result of forgetting to put normal eyesight into the starters' mutation menus -- oops! She still happens to be one of my faves! ❤️❤️ Here's Dapper - I tend to name derp-snouts with C pattern 'eyebrows' "Dapper" since they all look narcissistic and think they are simply the best! One of the reasons that this tribe is so similar in looks is that there is VERY little wanderer blood in these guys. In the very beginning, I was worried about the starters' kids not being able to find mates, but then I realized that two siblings had opposing immunity genes! And then, INCEST FEST!!!! With all healthy children! And everyone looked the same. The only other main wanderer to contribute to the line was Dapper, because he was mostly healthy. And just look at him! Who wouldn't want him as part of their breeding program! So all of my current tan/pink/white colored nichelings are likely related to him. I found another derpy scorpion female, who has had two recessive scorpion kids so far. And I have a few bearyena hybrids too, who i will breed back to bearyenas or to each other to unlock genes. I won't use their 3/4 bearyena kids for breeding though.3 points

Right now I'm doing a no mutation menu challenge. Before I got bored whenever I got all the traits that I wanted spread throughout my tribe. This way, it takes longer for me to get the traits that I want and it's also more realistic.3 points

Ok here goes 😛 The Clam Bloodline The founders and main contributors to the Clam Line: Clam, original platypus nicheling and foundation female Clam II and Snow. Practically Identical daughter and Grandson of Clam. Snow was one of the main studs for my line The Melon Line. The red and white pregnant one, Seed, is the main heiress of the Melon line. The founder. I intentionally bred in short snout because my entire tribe was cracker jaw and derp snout...now do you blame me??? Melon's daughter who carried on the main line. watermelon's daughter who carried on the line to the new island. Strawberry's last minute sickly son, born soon before her death Sickly son of Cantaloupe, and twin brother to the orange and grey female in the group shot.3 points

1. Coconuts are heavy, and I’m pretty sure creatures aren’t made out of steel. 2. Can you elaborate a little more? 3. Yes, more biomes would be wonderful, but you should be a little more specific. Do you wish to see a tundra? A volcano island? 4. That probably won’t happen, but nice idea. 5. For the third time: Can you be more specific? 6. It would be amazing to create your own custom islands, but how would ya do that? I’m not trying to bash you, these are just my viewpoints on your suggestions. Have a great weekend!2 points

Have you tried the wings/bird challenge? I am successful so far, it was not hard at all (except in the very beginning.) If you start on whale island, the challenge will be very easy and quick. Tips: when you have double wings, the beak, cracker jaw, ram horns, bearyena hind legs, and scorpion tail are very useful. I invented another challenge but haven't tried it yet. The Honeybee Challenge! I might test it out before declaring it possible to the public, lol2 points

Here's how I got there. I have a Windows 10 (i think) I open up a random folder on the desktop. Then I look along the sidebar and click "This PC." There should be a Windows (C:) icon that you click. Then you keep clicking folders, following the order above. One other thing that may be important is, if you look along the top of the finder view, click "View" and check the box that says "Hidden Folders." (Sorry for the late reply. It's my sister's birthday!)2 points

I don't really have any challenges for you, but my friend does own a popular Niche group called Niche Challenges. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/niche_challenges Hopefully this cures your boredom? Also, fun fact, if you scroll through the members for a bit, ya might find me...2 points

I never played with the old graphics. But seeing screenshots of it is very nice. The different colored eyes r beady looking, but like in a good way. And I especially like how the stripes look. Sometimes I can't even tell if my nicheling has stripes in this version, but in the old version it is very prominent.2 points

Sorry I still haven’t been able to get pics yet—I will soon—but the “melon line” and “clam line” are both from my first tribe, the Breaking Dawn Tribe, which has sort of become more of a tribe for gene experimentation and developing my own nicheling varieties. I have cheated food with the console and intend to do it again if food supply gets a bit too low. The other lines from other tribes were not as strictly bred as my melon and clam lines. Some are not strict at all but the same genes keep popping up each generation without my help. And some are not as distinct. For example, my Pastelle, Shocker, Oreo, and Ladybug lines are all in the same tribe, and of the three the Ladybug Line is by far the most distinct. The other lines often mix but the Ladybugs consistently look the same. It’s kind of driving me nuts. When the first Ladybug was born, I was like, cute! Your name is Ladybug. Ladybug has some kids. You are named Ladybug II. You are Miraculuous Ladybug. You are Ladybird. And you....Ladybug the Third...okay I’m kind of getting tired of all the Ladybugs.. My Larkspur Clan is interesting and even though I didn’t interfere at all they are the prettiest things ever :0 Some of my favorites aesthetically.2 points

A bloodline... that wasn't related at all. Basically, you settle on an island, populate it and weave a story. Two wanderers have children on the other side which will be send to the ports. Or I send the two wanderers directly. Sometimes the families meet. Sometimes they don't. Here are two no-pawed wanderers found in the Oasis, Sunny and Meme. As luck would have it, they found a surrogate father in their last days. Their son and another nicheling born to the main family with a wanderer. Might as well be twins. Only that the latter hit the genetic jackpot while the other bore the last derpsnout of his line. Sunny's granddaughter in her old age, wandering the shore. It bears the least risk of being eaten by a killer bearyena. This time I send the son of the main family with her, though.2 points

I made a file where the whole tribe had albinism, water body, swimming tail, claws, and cracker jaw. All my other tribes before had been on land, so it was fun breeding them. But then I quickly got bored because there's nothing that exciting in water environments compared to land. I had a file where i was just searching for wings the whole time. I stopped playing after i got my whole tribe with 2 wings and bird beak. I find that I kind of get bored after I have already bred for the traits that I want.2 points

I tend to leave my game open overnight (or longer) when I'm not playing, so I have a ton of hours on pretty much all my saves.2 points

I'd like it if we could generate an island, and then add stuff ourselves. Like, generate a peaceful meadow and then be able to choose what kind of grasses are there, and be able to place and remove stuff like bunny burrows, berry bushes, tree stumps, etc. That'd give us so much more control! And what if we could save these islands so they can be in our game normally, like we make it once, save it, and then boom implement it into files or smth and it's another island?? -cough cough- plus I can't get enough tree stumps for a Lek Mating Challenge and I seriously need this option Edit: So @PopsicleNinja had a good idea. This could become its own seperate update. So I suggest this: If this is the 1st rated thing or in the top 3, could the admins, mods, and all of them ppl consider that as an option? Because I do realize this is a very big, but would be a loved request.1 point
-
You could choose an option in which you have two or more tribes in one game. Pretty much you have the option to create (and customize) two starter creatures per separate tribe. These tribes could be on separate land, and you can switch between tribes while playing the game.1 point

Having a "full set" of genes (Full bearyena genes, full hidden ice/ancient genes, full toxic genes, et cetera) would give a bonus to stats and/or abilities! Possibly drawbacks too? ~~~OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS TO ADD TO THE LISTS~~~ (Keep in mind to be a full set both paws must be their respective sets if there is a paw gene) Having full bearyena genes ; * extra +1 to strength (Possibly with a -1 to speed?) * Wild bearyenas won't attack them until they are attacked (Including killer bearyenas!) "One of the pack" Ability Having full ancient genes (There are two head genes, having either counts); * Extra +1 to digging if you have trunk gene (With a -1 to stealth) * Extra +1 to speed OR strength if you have saber gene (With a -1 to stealth) * (currently can't think of any logical ability) Having full toxic genes (Tail, body, and fangs.); * +1 to distasteful appearance * Projectile venom (Rather than having a separate head gene for this, as many other suggestions include, your terrifyingly toxic nicheling could have the ability when having this set!) "Spitter" ability Having full bird genes (Wings, beak, tail); * +1 eyesight * (Being able to attack bluebirds seems like a fine ability already) ~~~OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS TO ADD TO THE LISTS~~~ Just a neat idea I've had for a while! I've tried to incorperate as much logic as possible into these choices, and limit what they would add so that this would be less of a task for the devs if they ever liked this idea! Here is the logic below: Bearyena: They're big, strong, and don't move a lot of tiles, so it makes sense that they'd be sort of OP but very slow. (Unless my math is wrong and this would lower their speed to 0... O_O) We've seen bearyenas with babies following them, so perhaps your little beareyena/nicheling hybrid would be tolerated as well. Ancient w/ trunk: The trunk gene gives you +3 digging, but having double digger paw gives you +4, essentially the +1 is to knock it up to being just as effective since with this gene your main source of food would be roots and cracking. Ancient w/ Saber: The ancient genes give +3 strength, and adding saber instead of trunk makes it +5. Your main sources of food would be hunting and cracking, so having extra speed to help corner prey would be a big help, but having another +1 to strength would make prey go down quicker, so whatever the devs think would work best with the balance of the game is what should be implemented. Toxic: Toxic body only provides +1 to distasteful appearance, which doesn't seem like enough for a fully toxic creature. The venom spraying seems to be many people's favorite concept, and would make for an interesting game mechanic. Perhaps it could scare apes away, since the apes are immune to poison. Bird: Many birds are known for having great eyesight, and currently the max for nichelings is +2. Most predators have eyesight >2, so they can see you before you can see them. Having a +1 to eyesight would mean bird nichelings have a greater chance to use their flying abilities to get away from predators as well as hunt prey and find berry bushes. This would come in handy in the jungle biome, as apes are often hard to escape from once they find you. Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment any suggestions you have so I can add them to the list!1 point

I have a problem where the grid doesn't let me place things where I want them. For me this could be fixed by make a feature where there were different grid modes that you could toggle examples: No grid, Smaller grid, or choosing the grid size if you add this a good place to me would be right here (with a drop-down menu if you have multiple options):1 point

Oh! Once when I was playing one of my saves, I came across two wander Nichelings. They were both cubs. Both derpsnouts, so I was questioning; Are they siblings? Then I found their mother, took all three of them in and said to my screen. "Here are your children, Ma'am."1 point

I used to play a much wider variety of games, but now it's pretty much just KSP, Borderlands 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and little bit of Saints Row IV when I'm feeling ridiculous. I did built myself a PiGrrl2 which I don't use nearly as much as I thought I would.1 point

So as of now the names are randomly generated by the game The Males use these syllables: Van, Ro, Duk, Kir, Ta, Nu, and Ku The Females use these syllables: Ra, Is, Re, Si, La, Ko, Me, and Ana So I have had at times 2 Vankirs, or Duktas etc. What if we added a few more syllables to make that less common. Male Syllables: Ti, Tu, To, and Mu examples: Kirmu, Rotu ,Vantu ,Tito ,Tomu, Tunu, and Vannuto Female Syllables: Di, Ki, and Le examples: Anale, Anaki, Kiana, Diana, Dilame, Meanaki, Merale, Ledile, Dikile1 point

10. The last Hunt. The northern morale is shattered. Our birds are on their own. Mama angry bird delivers the last blow. Have they truly won? Has she attained revenge for her sister, when the rogue male population is as steady as ever? These are the last moments of her life. In the war against darkness, stalemate is victory. Deep down she knows though, that her line and her purpose will never die. Because her husband has a thing for ducks. There ain't any rogues in the sea, man. Yet1 point
