Hey crew, We just released the update 0.5.9 for Nimbatus. We have read through alot of feedback since the release and addressed some of the problems with this patch. Thank you very much for reporting bugs and posting feedback! New Features: Added 2 new jungle missions (you will have the choice to reset the map or continue with the previous one) Added a popup to draw attention to our tutorial (can be skipped) Added zoom using the mousewheel to the test area and the planets Added new Delay gate Added speed setting for motorized hinges Added full and empty events to resource tanks Added a setting for the start state of the factory part (Printed / Not Printed) Reworks: If the loading of a savegame does not work, we now show the error on screen instead of automatically resetting the progress. If you encounter any errors, please post us a screenshot, restart the game and try again. Changed the galaxy map, so you will encounter lava planets earlier. Bugfixes: Fixed that Camera Trackers still were displayed on the minimap after being destroyed Fixed that Sumo drones were not correctly added to the opponent pool anymore Fixed that Batteries or Fuel Tanks still provided energy after being decoupled. Fixed that Resource tanks could not be filled-up after being printed by a factory part. Fixed Issue where Impulse Givers were always on after destroyed Fixed false positives on distance sensor while detecting own drone parts Fixed that decoupled parts get destroyed if the previous parent of the decoupler was destroyed Balancing: Increased the difficulty of Sumo Tournament opponents by increasing the number of required wins to be added. Lowered the difficulty of the Bio Barrell mission by improving the spawn rate and decreasing the amount of deadly cannons. The new start state setting of the factory part was the most upvoted suggestion in our forum, this is why we have added it to the game! Please keep upvoting ideas for new droneparts and features! The difficulty of the planetary missions was not really well balanced, it was too hard for beginners and too easy for advanced players. The starting galaxy should now be a bit easier. We will improve this in the future to make it more challenging and fun to play We will now start working on our first big update which will be all about Drone Racing. More information will follow soon! Cheers, Stray Fawn Studio3 points

I just like spots that look nice. (I.e. an area with trees next to nests and healing flowers and whatnot) As an artist, I can confirm that places with tons of trees are aesthetic and require my undivided attention. Why can't there be a biome with tons of trees?3 points

Yeah, I am curious if you'll add rules. Sometimes I do in certain maps, the last had a "Guardian" for two healing fruits aside from the normal healer and apprentice. Bearyenas, rogue males and thieving wanderers spawned left and right around that tree. The tree was also very close to the nursery. A guardian, sometimes a warrior grave digger, and elders that swipe at everything from the left. Healers that rush to creatures after every fight and fish by the moonpool. Layout can be important. You may need more key-figures.3 points

Reinforced, plenty of food, plenty of nests? Additionally, a patch that spaws fresh blood regularly if left unchecked. And other stuff... Maybe wide, open fields? Bear-mania, though. Perhaps barely enough for survival? Rather unattractive for even the bugs. Mayhaps you have you given up on land entirely, just looking for a nice beach? What is your favourite spot on an island?2 points

I remember when I learned about umfahren. You can either be driving around a policeman, or over him, all hinging on which syllable you stress.2 points

This was first meant to be an attempted story challenge. Adam had three children and they were compatible. Of these, they bred until they dropped dead. On their final day though, the only male was born. This repeated itself 2 times. The only male/female never had horns, unlike the damned rest of the tribe. They stopped having names. So much for story. After this misery, 15 creatures were born from two branches and none of their immunity genes were compatible. Names were converted to AB, AHome, and what not. At this point, I soon stopped counting and swarmed the island. No sickness, tough. But an awful, awful file that is better off gone. The only success was breeding that one sick wandering duck with an evil looking bird. Two great AB children.2 points

One time I copied & pasted the entire Bee Movie script into Google Docs with size 400 font! It took an hour for the whole document to load!2 points

Oh! I think Ossen looks very lovely Because it's yellow and white yellow/yellow is gross so is yellow/black2 points

I would, but I really wanna perfect my colors, breed out those pesky webbed hind legs and velvet paw, and attempt to add in bearyena claw2 points

I'm glad you all are liking it! Would any of you be interested if I made an ongoing story with this challenge as it progresses?2 points

Missions that don’t take place on a planet. Asteroid fields? Space battles? Hammerhead migrations (looking much like those with real hammerhead sharks)? The possibilities are expansive.1 point

I was using a console, and it was named "increasespawn" and so I type, F. The first thing that came up was frogleon.. what is that?1 point

I'm unsure as to wether someone has posted this yet, but the idea struck me and i just had to share. I love Warriorcats, so I thought I'd make a proper challenge based off of it. I based it off of the Sims 3 Warriors challenge, and the rest I filled up on my own. I will be using the Random Number Generator on RANDOM.ORG, and my two generators for this challenge: my Warrior Character Gen, and my WC Challenge Gene Gen. If you want to change any of the rules to fit yourself, fill free!!! I'll be doing runs of this myself, so if you want to get updates, ask, and I'll make a thread. If you have any questions, please ask! A big thank you to @Jojo for helping me modify aspirations and random rolls!Rules:1. Trust in the random generators. They are your friend. Even if you don't like what it says, follow it. What happens happens.2. Optional, but I advise you keep a place where you write little profiles for each of your nichelings, like at the beginning of every book. More on that below! It helps you keep track of your clan members, and it's a lot more satisfying to look back on after a few generations!3. Try to follow the warrior code! Punish rule-breakers or use it to develop your story.4. You can have multiple clans at once, but be careful- it can be hard to keep track of!5. Have fun!How to start:Choose your desired starter island. I usually like to go with story mode and leave it up to fate, but it's whatever you like. If you choose the story mode beginning, Adam will be the first leader of your clan, but you can rename him, of course. If you choose your own island, feel free to decide which of the two will be leader. As for names, you can name cats however you like, as long as it is in line with the warrior code! How clan ranks happen:Leader - is appointed when former leader dies. If you want, use the console to extend the leader's life nine times each time they are close to death. this simulates a leader's 'nine lives'.Deputy - appointed when old deputy dies or retiresWarrior - when a nicheling is full grownApprentice - made when a nicheling is adolescentQueen - a female nicheling with a baby or who is pregnantKit - a baby nichelingMedicine cat - optional ; these cats must be standing next to a healing plant in order for an injured nicheling to eat from it. these cats also can purr to heal other cats, making purr snouts ideal medicine cats.Patrols:You don't have to do these, but try to have a few nichelings near the border of the tall grass every day in order to clear grass or to look for rogues.Rolls:WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER A ROGUE: [use a random generator from 1-4]1 ; Nothing happens/your choice2 : Your clan fights the rogue.3 : Your clan invites the rogue to join them. 4 : A member of your clan mates with the rogue. WHEN WOUNDED BY A PREDATOR: 1. easy wound (warrior can be easily healed and continue on with his duties) 2. medium wound (needs one day of rest( literally not allowed to do anything but guard kits and hang around) 3. grave wound (early retirement) 4. dies of injuries (banish Nicheling/ drown them/ get rid of them somehow) SICKLY NICHELING 1. lives 2. lives but needs to rest often 3. lives close to the medicine cats, can't move far 4. dies I apologize if anything seems unclear, and if it does, please ask me! I hope you guys enjoy.1 point

I was thinking maybe you could have, a little space to write where you store notes on your nicheling when you click on them in the tribe profile thing? If you're creating lore for your tribe, then I think it would make it a lot easier to keep track of all your characters!1 point

I think it would be awesome to have the option to toggle the genes on and off so that we can play a "blind genes mode" in which we can't look at the genes our nichelings are carrying, to make the game more interesting and challenging. That way we could look at the family tree and change nichelings' names without having to look at the genes. It could also be activated or deactivated during the game, that way, for example, you could set yourself a goal and once you reach it you can toggle on the genes and look at them. What do you think?1 point

I thought that maybe a general thread for stray fawn related gifs could be amusing I'll start by posting a gif I captured in the Nimbatus Sumo tournament today which made me laugh out loud. My spinning drone went up against one that used a detachable magnetic battering ram. As usual the battering ram went skittering off the screen. But much to my surprise the lump of magnets found it's way back into the arena, crashing into its own core. The opponent's core then got crushed between me and the ram, and that's when the core's thrusters went nuclear and shot the poor guy's core out of the arena like a bullet XD1 point

Want to try the Warrior Cats challenge, but without the boring set-up? Then this is just the post for you! I"ll outline the following: The map. with and without grass when important. genes unlocked. Tribe history and tribe customs, Former rules. A) Slot 3, "The Code" Advantages: Secluded, defensable area. Defined nursery (two nests), two outposts, one with an extra nest. A tree stump in the center of the camp is reserved for the leader. __ aesthetically pleasing for tree-lovers. -- no bugs despite the swamp tiles. Moderate danger. Disadvantages: no defined Moonpool. Healing fruits are far apart. Rogues spawn in the north, wanderers in the south. Bearyenas typically appear either in the West or East. (If you define North as the grassland port without flowers) Map: Current "moonpool" and supply site: Current clan order, possible mating pairs and important information was added to the creatures' names. Tribe character: liberal, Wanderers were always invited. Nichelings typically mate for life. Breeding goals: Poison fangs and the scorpion tail were preserved. Extra Rules A healer must aid a first time mother. Healers collect seaweed from the river to stock up supplies. If a child is born sick and a bluebird nearby, there has to be a chance that they do not make it. Every 10 days, winter begins. In this 4 day span, no berries grow. In Autumn (3 days) you can collect berries on every second day. Hunting is always possible. History: Founder: Finchstar. Golden era: Under Pinestar, the border grew bigger than ever, countless wanderers were found and the food storage established. Nightwing, meanwhile, cured the yellowcouth that had taken elders and children alike. No rules were broken. Vineheart, deputy and eldest son of FInchstar, refused to become leader. Scarlettfeather took his place. Warriors with the scorpion tail are descendants of the latter, the fishing tail is typical of Finchstars' legacy, as carried on by his daughters. Average genetic profile: Weakest member: Genes unlocked: Savefile: It is listed as a save 2 file and appears in-game in slot 3. Slot2.nichesave I will add another, vastly different, save game tomorrow. To find your save slots, follow this guide; The Rules to the Warrior Cats challenge, as defined by @medicine cat I advise you to open the console by pressing F1. Then enter berry. Pick the changeberrycount option and make it changeberrycount -700 Hit enter and enjoy a more difficult challenge. If you just want to mess around or go full story mode, you have enough food for this style currently.1 point

Hi (again), Sumo mode is lovely but sometimes unfair (big drone versus small one for example). To solve this I'd love to play more restricted tournaments like : - Max 20 parts - Between 20 and 40 parts - Between 40 and 60 parts - Betwen 60 and 80 parts - Betwen 80 and 100 parts - 42 parts only ( yes, because "the answer to life the universe and everything..." 😛 ) - bigger ones - smarter ones (min 10 logic parts) - stupid ones (no logic parts nor sensors) - slower ones (max 12 thrusters) ...1 point

Well, if you guys don't advise me to do it, what language do you advise me to learn? I'm not interested in French, Spanish would probably be helpful because of where I live, and I heard Nordic languages are waaaay harder.1 point

Two issues with this. First, The procedure now is rotating the parent, placing the adjacent part, and rotating them back. That seems acceptable, and you'd have to perform the same steps with the grid for the same operation. Second, diagonal parts are rarely used extensively. I think rotating the core in the grid would enable the same results as rotating the grid around the core, and it would be much more obvious that you need to correct alignment before continuing normally.1 point

We did some improvement in 0.5.9 related to this. The 1-Win drones will no longer show up, this will result in more difficult fights.1 point

I know you were working on the factory in general. Did you do anything about factory - built debris and struts behaving weirdly on destruction? (Struts left behind, debris immune to gravity, etc) I was still trying to find a common cause to it, so I hadn't put up abug report.1 point
-
I believe wheels are on the roadmap. Some high and low gravity challenges would be interesting. Do you have a suggestion for the mission? Myself, I'd like wormholes to require a minimum competition rate - not forcing you into mission types you hate, but also not unlocking just because you're there.1 point

The place I went takes in cats at risk in shelters, and gets any veterinary work done (dental, etc) so they're more adoption- ready. I'm pretty sure they're mostly volunteers, and they all have day jobs. They're pretty extraordinary people, and kept in touch by email to check up on her. She's had a rough time of it. Her records indicate broken and cracked teeth, and that doesn't happen without some kind of trauma.1 point

Hi, My name is Ghislain. I'm french (in Haute Savoie) and I like playing poi, guitar, didgerdidoo, electronic music, boardgames and... videogames (mostly indies). I used to be a software engineer and now I'm a math teacher. Have a good day !1 point

Well, that is not the world's easiest language to learn. I am German but I am not sure if I can give you many tips. It is like any other language just that it sucks XD You have to learn an awful lot... and German is weird, we have so many grammar rules that are just weird. I mean 'umfahren' and 'umfahren' mean completly the opposite depending on intonation ^^ Though once you are far enough reading and watching movies/ tv series in german helps an awful lot (and we have a crapton of dubbed stuff soo that will be easy) that's the way I learned english after getting far enough through school I read a lot of books and watched english stuff1 point

Okay, now it makes sense. Thank you! Literally every creature with Ossen's color in my tribe is named after him...1 point

Ah. I forgot. Thanks. I usually play in earlier versions, so I overlook Home Island. Also, how come we're typing in tiny text?1 point

I originally had Lareko named "Sexy Beast MMMM YeE" in an early draft of this suggestion, but I removed it after I realized I would've been flagged for that lol But albinism can be so hot in so many ways...1 point

I trap him and breed him every day with my best females. Hah. Amateur. ...or maybe you do too.1 point

I think having an opinion is fine, as long as you can act objectively. The trick is recognizing when you're having trouble being objective. I always told people on the Mod team not to hesitate to ask another Mod to take over, if they feel they're too involved in or upset by a situation. It's not a failing if a mod recognizes they aren't the right person for a situation.1 point

I will bring someone else home. I've lost pets before, and I know how it helps to have company. I tried to rescue someone, and it didn't work out. I think now I'm just ready for a friend.1 point

I’d love to share my lore and storylines, this is a great idea! Already in my warrior cats story, the leader called out for new members, only to attempt murder on the next member that arrived. The deputy is now arguing with the leader.1 point

Cool idea ;D I'm also loving your number choices lol But in all seriousness, this would be really cool to add! If a tribe is really old, it can sometimes get confusing on what islands you're looking for, and all the important Nichelings born.1 point

I'm not sure if this was a bug, or some weird side effects, but apparently eating the springs caused enough damage to the enemy's sumo to make the whole thing explode with such catastrophic force that the match was declared over prior to the enemy's core leaving the arena. (if you look in the bottom right corner you can see the ring color change to red). Anywho, I was entertained1 point

We have albino nichelings, but doesn't almost any animal in real life have a small chage of being albino? It would be amazing to find an albino bearyena! So my idea is to add a small chance for almost any animal in niche to be albino, not just for the nicheling. This chance would of course be really small. If an animal is an albino, it should have it's eyesight decreased. Albinism would also make some nice achievements! Something like hunthing an albino rabbil or killing an albino bearyena or even encountering an albino ape or balancebear would be great achievements! + I think that albinism should decrease nicheling's eyesight too!1 point
