I'm just having this image run through my head. Seedy bar, girl at the counter, sleazy guy slinking up. "Hey, baby . . . wanna bread?" And pulling a baguette out of his jacket like he's selling drugs or something.6 points

Oh, no. It's brilliant. This must be how they feed themselves and no one ever runs away. Infinite bread.4 points

Now that you say it, I think I only remember them with fluffy/swimming tail and recessive patterns, too :/. Though it can happen that you mistake a no pawed derpsnout for a rogue. I had a lot of these recently.3 points

I love this idea, because then I could make a proper "Camp" For my nichelings as opposed to just using what I can find, which is what I normally do.3 points

-Chapter 2: New Islands, New Tribemates- The tribe arrives on the new island. Their eyes grow wide at the sight of how huge this place is compared to their previous home. However, they quickly recover from their shock, and immediately move forward, with no time to lose. The tribe moves through the water, seeing the coconut trees and how they drop their rather heavy "fruits". The tribe is afraid of being hit on the head with one. However, they quickly discover tons of goldleeches. Isis, who is leading the way, quickly takes the majority out. One latches onto Rororo, but Meissi removes it instantly. As they travel through the water, Rororo seems to have found a clownkoi friend. Meanwhile, the tribe takes notice of how much quicker Rororo can move through the water than on land. The tribe moves onto the nearby shore, and all the tribe's females decide to have their children. The tribe is a little bit disgruntled at the sight of the snip-snout baby, but decides to make use of them anyway. Isis sets up her nest in the water, much to the concern of her tribemates. "Won't your kid drown if they're born in the water?" the tribe asks. "I'll hold their head up," Isis replies, in hopes of reassuring her tribemates. The next day, Isis gives birth to these two cuties. Eve's pink fur makes a reappearance, and Adam's fur joins in as well, despite being without the stripes. Isis is a bit surprised at the appearance of twins, but decides to love her two children equally. An extra upside, they both have home island immunity! Fortunately, the two kids don't drown, and are able to make it onto land by themselves. It's been raining for a while now, and Rororo has found a tree stump in the meantime while the tribe expands steadily upwards. The only concern everyone has now is if they'll have enough food to feed everyone. Meanwhile, a short-snouted child is born. The tribe is a bit uneasy, and eyes the kid suspiciously. "What kind of snout is that?" someone asks. "He looks super weird!" one of the children comment. They are hushed by their mother. Rororo speaks up. "That is a short snout. Nothing like your poison fangs, but it is still useful. In fact, that short snout has a better smelling capability than your fanged ones." The tribe is somewhat offended at being beaten in a category of survival, but keeps the child. An odd wanderer named Kuvanvan is found. He has a smelly tail, and the same jaw as Rororo, but with recessive cracker jaw. The tribe accepts him, taking note of his ram horns, and of the two nimble fingers he has. As the tribe continues moving north, they find their first poison berry bush. Luckily, they have no problem picking from it, as most of the nichelings there are resistant to poison. Also, the tribe's first cracker jaw is born. A few laugh at how weird its muzzle looks, but accept them anyways. And finally for this post.. oh, what's this? An albino rogue male? The tribe is shocked by his odd appearance, and the females snarl simply at the thought of his intentions. The females send Nuro to deal with him. Kuvan joins in, and Meissi decides to attack as well. The male is guaranteed to die in a day or two.3 points

So.. um.. Lemonpuff and Lemon pudding had another kid I named Laree, but then I passed the day and then suddenly I saw a little atatck symbol appear over her and she died. Then I realized... there's a Bearyena in the blind spot of my creatures (they can smell and hear him, but I hadn't done that recently, and Lemon pudding couldn't see it). And then I used up Lemonpuff's last turns (she had been damaged a bit from licking her mate's wounds when he got a leech) killing the Bearyena, so she couldn't have a third and final child (Laree was in the Perma nest) (The Bearyena is in the tile beside the perma nest and Jorin) Here's the Family tree (make sure you read the names on the bottom generation): Off we go! And here we are! (I kinda forgot to take a screenshot as soon as we got there so this is a day afterwards) TO BE CONTINUED3 points

I was thinking maybe you could have, a little space to write where you store notes on your nicheling when you click on them in the tribe profile thing? If you're creating lore for your tribe, then I think it would make it a lot easier to keep track of all your characters!2 points

That sounds great! Used your generator for a new Cattails character today (I wanted to try the game on super hard mode because I was bored) and it came up with Deadkestrel XD I just went with it ^^2 points

i might be mistaken with the patterns, but i think theres more tails than just fluffy and swimming. one person said they found one with stinky tail2 points

i did, actually! i combined the name gen with the personalities. i can post it when i get done with school today.2 points

Well, if you look at my post above it sort of works XD But now I think every Rogue Male is french ^^2 points

I am not so sure about the pattern question, but I think they have different tail from time to time. I see if I can find one and take a screenshot next time I play. Rogue Males definitely have some cool recessive genes though sometimes, especially in the tail and body department2 points

woah those stories are pretty interesting! I absolutely love how you're setting up your tribe and doing all this stuff with em.2 points

Remember, flamers vs sparkers? The zigzag particles with a trail? They looked so COOL. I want sparkers back. Maybe work them into an electrical weapon with more unique properties, if they aren't distinct enough from flamers. (Ground-seeking terain clearing arc weapons?)1 point

Hello there! I'm super excited to be doing this. I haven't played niche seriously in a long time, and this looks like fun. Anyways, our story starts with.. the intro cutscene not loading on my low-power computer, and of course, Adam! Aside from the tutorial, moving onto the next island, here is Eve. Quite a lucky set of genes we've received! Nimble fingers, and spiky body! I only wish she had a more appealing fur colour. Welp, here's our first child. Kinda wish she would've inherited the nimble fingers, but hey, we have tribemates! With a bit of preparation, we're onto the next island. We also gave birth to another kid, a clone this time. Only difference? This one has home island immunity! We're gonna have to work hard to preserve that. Here's some twins we gave birth to! I favor the one on the left. I love that cute little pink paw! Anyways, we're steadily expanding our tribe. it seems that spiky bodies are quite popular among the genepool. Also, as of now, I really wish I could give myself unlimited food! Haha! But I won't, that'd make the odds unfair for the other competitors. Will update as I continue!1 point

my friend says rogue males only have fluffy tail and dont have patterns, even tho ive found many swimming tail rogues, and i swear ive seen a spotted one (cant be sure tho) any help solving this problem?1 point
-
Yeah, but I am questioning it a little. No stinky-tailed rogue in my 240 hours. Not that many, but enough to see one, unless it's a bug. Pictures are the best evidence, of course. Should it be super, super rare.1 point

Our tribe seems to be finding more toxic berry bushes, and everyone is fine with this except the cracker-jawed and short-snouted guys. The tribe is suspicious of the water puddles, as they have heard stories from Adam, who had been given the stories by his old home island tribemates, of swamp tribes having to battle bugs that lingered around them every day after it rained. However, the tribe still smiles at the sight of a healing plant. The next day, Raro smells the scent of a bad-meaning nicheling. Also, it's raining. He warns the tribe, and everyone moves forwards. Isis has another child, and the tribe gasps in awe as Adam's stripes make a comeback. However, everyone suddenly grows alert.. ...because on the same day the striped baby was born, the tribe has their first encounter with a bearyena and a bluebird. The tribe views Adam's stripes as a sign from Adam himself that the tribe/child is blessed. However, perhaps these stripes are a curse? Adam was carried away from his home by a bluebird. Also, there's a bearyena. To be continued, since I don't have any more time to play the game.1 point

So, I played a lot, but kinda forgot to take screenshots. So here's screenshots of all the creatures in the tribe: Here is Roroduk and his son, Keenah. One day, when Fish was young, she found a tree stump. She decided to call on it day and night. She eventually formed some rules for the tree stump empire: One creature at any time is in charge of the tree stump. Their only mate can only be a wanderer that was attracted to their calls. If the leader gets of the stump, any Nicheling may get on top of it and become the new leader, making the previous one live life like a regular creature. Thus, one day, when Fish decided to get off her stump in order to kill a Bunnil, Anaanaana got onto the stump and became leader. Fish was forced to flee to the outskirts, where she met Lemon. Back tot he tree stump, Anaanaana's son found Duyusiimi and became mates with her, having a single child named Roroduk. When Roroduk grew up, it was discovered that his grandmother was one of the two creatures with Home Island Immunity, and that he was her only chance to pass it on. Thus, they had three children right before she died, but none got the special immunity of Adam. Roroduk released his oldest two children, but kept his youngest, Keenah. When Keenah grows up, he is to be the mate of the only creature with Home Island Immunity in the tribe, Joli. (Shown later) And here is Ninki, daughter of Lena, with her two brothers Kirah and Kutanu. And here is Sunshine and her two daughters Stardust and Lilydust. Stardust is pregnant with an unwanted child of a Rouge Male. Story: Sunshine was orphaned at a very young age, as her parents had died when she was born, but Adar, mate of Lena, found her and took her in. Later, when both Adar and Lena had passed away, she found two males, Karin and Sunray. She fell in love with Karin, but Sunray fell deeply in love with her, even though she didn't care for him very much. Eventually, she decided to pretend to be the mate of Sunray, just so he would leave her alone, but secretly, she was the mate of Karin. Eventually she had a baby named Stardust, and Sunray, of course, thought that it was his baby. However, Karin didn't know it was his, and got mad and ran away. Sunshine ran after him, telling Sunray that she was just trying to convince Karin to come back so they could be friends again. However, what really happened was that Sunshine ran after Karin, and when she caught up, she told him about how she was just pretending to be Sunray's mate,a nd that Stardust was really his child. Once they made up, Sunshine became pregnant with Karin's child once again, but unfortunately, he passed away quite soon. When she came back, she told Sunray that it was his child, and when she gave birth, she named her new daughter Lilydust. After a day or two, Sunray realized that his children looked nothing like him, and realized that they were not his children. When he asked Sunshine, she told him the whole story. Sunray forced her into having a child with him (for real), so she agreed. Unfortunately, Sunray passed away right after, so he never got to see his child. Sunshine is still pregnant with Sunray's child. Two of Lemon and Fish's children, Lemonpuff (previously named Lara) and Lemon Pudding are getting ready to have their second child, while their son Jorin helps clear away the grass with his father's directions on where to move. (Yellow Gems = Descendant of Lemon, Pink Gem(s) = Scout Guide (guides the Blind Scouts) Two sons of Lemon and Fish, Lemonade and Snow Lemon, hang out with Jali. Jali is the daughter of the last creature with Home Island Immunity, and her father was a Rogue Male. Jali is destined to be the mate of Keenah when he is old enough. Current tribe:1 point

My trick for that word is to remember that it shares a root with decimal and decimate. That makes the decision easier.1 point

You could also call it pacifist challenge if you decide to not have armor body. In this challenge, you are not allowed to do actions that involve strength(except destroying plants or rocks). To be honest, in this game, predators are not really predators, as in all honesty, the first thing that goes trough most player's mind the instant a predator shows up is: KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE! (Well, not actually with fire) (Sorry for copying you Goggles) So this challenge gives a fresh twist to the playstile. Also its a lot more dramatic and exiting for story telling when a predator forces you to flee from your base, and you are forced to seek shelter somewhere else. If you choose to get armor, the true beastmaster challenge begins, as you have to "tame" creatures by finding a use for them, for example, following ramfoxes as they hunt bunnies to get the meat. If a nicheling is chosen to become a beastmaster, it gains more prestige the more beasts he/she tames. The one with the most tames becomes the great elder and tribe leader, symbolized by his/her favorite beast.1 point

Here's one first test of bringing two competing drones into one scene and let them race autonomously. Everything you see in this video is most likely going to change - so consider this only as a sneak peak into that we're currently working on drones vs. drones as well No details or comments on how that mode will work can be given at this point, I'm sorry1 point

oH mY gOsH I'm definitely joining this, I'll post a screenshot soon Look at my beautiful fish child, Dragon Tear ❤️ EDIT: So I decided to add her backstory in here since I just want people to be informed more about this mysterious Dragon Tear Dragon Tear was born on a rainy stormy night, being the first of her 5 siblings to not be sick. Her mother named her Dragon Tear based off the pain she endured while watching her children die before her but the strength she saw in this small delicate strand of hope for the tribe. As Dragon Tear grew, all of her sickly siblings had passed just after she earned her final gem and her parents passed soon after. Dragon Tear isolated herself far from the tribe because she wanted to grieve alone. While she was out, something happened to the rest of her tribe. The Apes attacked. One big eyed ape and one big nosed ape came along and began to terrorize the tribe. Hearing about this from a winged creature in her tribe, she raced back and ultimately sacrificed herself to the apes so the newborn babies in the tribe could thrive. She finally realized that the one thing she needed was company and the feeling of her tribe around her.1 point

Oh my gosh those two spotted babies are so precious Do you have pics of their genes? I want to recreate those two now1 point

This is Rela. She was born to the alpha pair of one of my older save files. (One that I'm pretty sure I deleted) She is my goddess of balance, and she lived her entire life on the savannah with her mate, Kirroku, a dark-red nicheling with black stripes and a claw. She had an older sister who was infested with jealousy at her younger sisters handsome mate and sucsessful life.1 point

First of all, use the console and give all your creatures the prettiest genes, even if it doesn’t match the environment. Then, migrate to the next island, realize first snow doesn’t match with burning savanna, and die of heatstroke. You successfully finished Niche.1 point
