  3. Now we have our wanderers, the start of a next generation, and our two rogue encounters. Bigear was the first wanderer. He and Savannahspots became mates to save her from the yellow rogue. He's not exactly the most handsome creature but he's well intentioned and a hard worker. Featherdust was the second wanderer, he was found as a 'paw' (he only had two gems). He's a little antsy and nervous, and despite how far he can fly, he likes to stay close to the group. He also has a tiny crush on Runningclaw. Crimsonfur is out latest wanderer. A stunning beauty with her...well crimson fur, ram horns, scorpion tail, wing, and a big nose rather than a derp snout. She seemed timid at first but she has quickly proven to be a bit snappy. And now there's Dandelionkit, the daughter of Bigear and Savannahspots. What started as an act of necessity spurred into genuine love, and so Savannah decided to have the baby she was pregnant with. Dandelionkit is the first creature with antennas and her parents love her dearly. We also have our two rogue males, an albino guy and a yellow guy.

  4. Post generators (if it's not yours, give credit!) for challenges/names/etc. for Niche here! --If it's from a challenge that somebody else made, please link it!-- Skysplash8's Warrior Cat Nicheling Name and Aspiration Generator-- from the Warrior Cats Challenge-- My own version of @medicine cat's generator! (I don't use the same aspirations and names) Nicheling Namer by Skysplash8-- A large selection of names for those who have trouble naming their creatures! I seperated the lists into Female and Male, but which list it uses is random.

  5. I decided I wanted to keep track of my creatures in this attempt at a plot/roleplay driven playthrough. Maybe having other people see it will motivate me to continue on with the plotline. I plan to have polls so that you guys can have some influence on the story. ^ ^ And feel free to leave suggestions too. *Also I'm new to the whole image thing, so I'm not sure how this works. I'll try it out and edit it later.* Anyway, this is Lilystar and her mate Mudrunner, my starters for Whale Island. Lilystar is an ambitious leader who's dreamt of wings and tailfins, who's also more than a little irresponsible. Lucky for her, the clan is recovering from her irresponsibility, and she's found her dreamed of wings. (On two creatures, Featherdust and Crimsonfur.) Mudrunner on the other hand, he's a bit more skeptical and focused. While Lilystar was out searching for wanderers, he was trying to find food for their growing family. He unfortunately died of starvation (during the Great Starvation) which was caused by Lilystar not searching for food and instead only trying to expand her family and find wanderers.

  6. These are their children from oldest to youngest, we have Savannahspots, Fruitseeker, Cloudmask, and Runningclaw. Savannahspots was originally adventurous and irresponsible like her mother, but once the Great Starvation started she became determined to feed her clan. She also mated with Bigear (who will be showed in a later post) due to there being a nearby rogue male. Fruitseeker is adventurous to her core, though much more aware of what's needed. Unfortunately, her bright spirit was dampened a bit due to an encounter with a rogue male. Cloudmask was originally considered a beautiful miracle until Featherdust and Crimsonfur stole her spotlight. She then, much like Savannahspots, became determined to feed her tribe. She resents her mother for her irresponsibility, which cause the Great Starvation that injured many and even killed Mudrunner. Runningclaw is the youngest and is a little unsure of what she wants to do. She's currently just listening to Cloudmask and Savannahspots. (Though she does have eyes for Featherdust.)

  7. I get what you are saying, but this would sort of have to be overhauled for every animal then and I think maybe rebalanced for longer and shorter lifespans. And I wanted something like this earlier on but now I don't know if we necessarily need it anymore. Yes other Nichelings would be harder to kill but so are all other things with long lifespans (Not that I would mind a health bar I just think currently it would be more trouble than worth, but maybe that'll change once we have the update and I'm super annyoed by every wanderer living so long ^^ )

  9. I feel like due to the fact they're all the same species they should have the same life length. the only thing that worries me about the whole increased or decreased age is the fact the health bar is their age bar, so creatures are going to become easier/harder to kill because of their lifespan which personally I don't think makes much sense. perhaps a health bar with the same amount of health as a normal life nicheling (25 days I think? so they can only take 25 damage) should be added in. so to make this a little less confusing i mean: if you set a nicheling to be able to live 50 days that means it would take 50 damage to kill them, and if rogue males and wanderers are the same it would take 50 damage to kill a rogue male, which sounds pretty insane. hopefully this makes sense, if it doesn't I can try to explain it more clearly.

  11. Time for part 3 ;>> Hope you enjoy! (I decided to do a little bit more story on these now since I just kinda put weird and meaningless captions on the previous two sets of pictures) We'll start out with a nice closeup of Lucky, daydreaming off into the distance while collecting from his wilting berry bush. Meanwhile, Flutter has a secret admirer. Skunk can't help but watch in awe at her fishing skills and how beautiful she is with that vibrant pink fur, yet having a hint of camouflage with those black spots. Silence falls upon the tribe as one of their elders passes. Rename severed her tribe well and bore 1 healthy child that still serves the tribe to this day. Suddenly, a sick teenage wanderer sprints out of the bushes after eating one of the nearby berry bushes. The tribe wards her off due to the fact that she has bad genes and she was constantly stealing berries from their food stores. Rereara stares at Skunk from across the stream. She admires him but his heart is already set for another female. Jealous, Rereara comes up with a wicked plan to try and make Skunk hers. Meanwhile, Skunk finally decides to confess his true feelings to Flutter. To his surprise, Flutter has actually had feelings for him for a long time and she thought that he didn't have those feelings for her back because of her deformed snout. Skunk tells her that it's not her appearance, it's her heart that he loves. They settle down together for the night to have their first child. Meanwhile, a child has been born to a local friendly bearyena! pfft totally not just trapping him for the genes hahaha This child's name is Stick. Overnight, Flutter gave birth to a magnificent and beautiful son, to which she names him Badger. Flutter is stunned at his appearance, but Skunk is smug. "I always knew that any of my children would inherit my sweet body and my handsome looks-!" Flutter cut him off smacking him across the snout playfully. "Shut up you big lump!" Flutter purred. Somewhere else in the tribe, identical twins were born. Their father being a bearyena, they are both extremely strong. Surprisingly, they managed to pull out the recessive big ears in their traits. Being able to hear, smell, and attack so well, these two girls would become the tribe's best hunting pair. Their names and Bounce and Skip. Alas, bearyena snout has finally been introduced into the tribe. A tiny female is born, and her mother, not exactly thinking about the future, named this child Tiny. Little did she know is that her daughter would be the biggest and most fearless Nicheling in the tribe. A new fishy family is brewing somewhere off on the shores near some flower ports. Twins again! Lasi, you sure do have lots of babies at this point... Rereara finally confronts Skunk and tackles him to the ground. "I love you!" She cried. "I want you to be my mate." Skunk couldn't help but rear back with horror. "You're my sister!" Skunk spat. "That's disgusting!" PLOT TWIST LOLOLOL Rereara, taken aback, blinked with hurt. Even at his refusal, she continued with her wicked plan... Back by the Bearyena side of the tribe, and elderly spiky bodied wanderer hobbles up to the tribe to collect berries. The tribe allows her to do so. Tiny finds a stump that she can sit upon and prove to her mother that she's not so tiny after all. Perhaps she can even call out to attract other wanderers... and hopefully not bearyenas! ....Her wicked plan was to bear his child. Flutter watched from the sidelines with horror and hurt and Badger viciously chased Rereara out of their territory. Skunk profusely apologized to his mate but she refused to listen... Meanwhile, with the fish family blooming, a little frog toed baby as been born. Vanro will scour the shores of all the shells with his mother when he gets older. Back with Flutter, she finally accepted his apology but did so begrudgingly. Deciding to have another slid with him, she is surprised the next miring to see that she's had a little spotty dalmatian! She concludes that she will name her first daughter Shine. Back with our identical twins Bounce and Skip, they've made a discovery. A solid white male, fur the color of bleached snow and eyes redder than blood. Bounce, horrified that this wanderer is a bad omen... ....ultimately destroys him right then and there. TBC! That's it for now! This one was kinda short but I don't have much time tonight sadly Hope you all enjoyed, and tell me if you want me to continue the mini stories following the pictures. I honestly love doing those! Stay tuned for the next part!

  12. I think in the example, the bottom left LED should light up. (All buttons and LED's are set to 'X') It would allow us to activate an 'if' gate beyond a splitter to control a split-off drone part, effectively allowing us to segregate transmitted commands so that only those we need are transmitted. Furthermore, it just makes sense. There's no reason for the wireless transmitter to act as a splitter - that's what we have splitters for. Signals transmitted from the core by the wireless part should be sent to only child parts. Signals generated by those child parts should be able to propagate to the wireless part's parents.

  13. I've wanted to see more hybrids in the game so maybe another one or two should be added. The Arctic Bears sound like a good place to start. Maybe a paw gene could be bear claw that gives three damage or a bear snout that adds one defence, one strength, and strong voice to scare away other bears.

  14. I guess they mean travellint ports/ tiles if so 15 would be the max of the current version, but in earlier versions I believe we had 18 for easy islands (maybe we still do no idea)

  15. Personally, I'd like to see an arctic fox hybrid. ^ ^ But I can't really think of genes they could add. Ah well, it's a nice thought.

  17. Open up your art program, and draw something! But here’s the catch: you’re only allowed to use one brush. (Or whatever some people call it nowadays.) The eraser tool doesn’t count, nor does the type of brush you use if you want to sign it. I tried it myself, and this was the result: I only used the brush “Turpentine”. Your turn!

  19. -Chapter 2 Continuation- With the new threats of the bearyena and the bluebird, the tribe begins to swiftly move. Meissi, the tribe's oldest member along with Kukirku, decides to spend her last day stalling the bearyena and applying damage to it. She is unable to kill it in the same day it arrived, but hopefully with her spiky body and poison fangs, she will have applied enough damage for it to stay around for not much longer. Meanwhile, the tribe keeps a close eye over Duktavan, making sure the bluebird has no chance to go after him. The next day, Meissi dies to the bearyena. The tribe mourns, but keeps moving. Duktavan is herded into the grass so that he may be camouflaged. Next day. The bearyena is still tracking the tribe, but cannot see Raana or Duktavan in the grass. Before it even knows what hit him, the bearyena is struck down by Raana, the cracker-jawed creature. Duktavan, who is now no longer the bluebird's victim, as the winged creature has left, moves to join his tribe, who are making their way to the northern port of the island. Finally! As the tribe moves forwards, Kokola, who had forgotten about the danger of bearing near coconut trees, gets hit on the head and stunned by one! The tribe laughs at the comedic effect of the situation, but is overall concerned about her wellbeing. Anyways, it seems that Kuvan and Nuro have found the island port! Unfortunately, it looks a bit small. Perhaps a few creatures will be left behind. Also, I forgot to mention, but Kukirku has passed away from old age. I will always love that little pink paw of his. Next day, it's raining and the tribe collects food, despite the fact it stalls their progress. Kokola is still stunned by the coconuts. I hope she doesnt pass away before I get a chance to breed her. The next day, Kokola is free from the grasp of the coconut tree! She huffs, slightly upset at the inconvenience, and moves on. A couple days later, a rogue male breeds with Simeis. She is very upset with this and swears to banish the soon-to-be born kid from the tribe or sacrifice them to the lingering bluebird as soon as they're born if they do not have enough useful traits. Meanwhile, Kokola breeds with Roro, and will have his baby in a couple days. At the port, the tribe has found a couple water healing plants and some nest-material providing water plants. They harvest the nesting material ones, and injured tribemates approach the healing plants. The next day, these two are born. Their names are Issi (cracker jaw) and Anamera (snip-snout). Kokola is disappointed with her child's cracker jaw, and Simeis is disgusted by her child altogether. Anamera has recessive antenna, but the tribe finds this pretty much useless at this point. Not to mention, Anamera has a deformed paw. And that ugly, ugly snout. Simeis destroys her nest and stomps away from her newborn child onto the port. Kokola moves to have some of the water healing plant, and Raana keeps watch over the two children. The next day, Kokola eats the healing plant, but is not fully healed. She and Issi move onto the port with the others, and Raana abandons the other child under Simeis' wish. The tribe then gathers themselves, and moves onto the next island. -Chapter 2 has ended. Now we begin the next.- -Chapter 3: Open Ocean- As the tribe steps onto the new island, the realize that this place is very unnatural. Heads tilt as they eye the area around them. The tribe soon realizes.. this isn't just one island by itself. No, this place has several. Immediatley, two females breed with Roro, the short-snouted one. These two females are Kokola and Simeis. Too late, Simeis realizes the permanent nest she has settled upon is directly below a coconut tree. She can only prey she and her baby aren't affected by a falling coconut. However, the chances are most likely very low. The tribe decides to find breeding pairs, but soon realizes a problem they have: there are only three females (not counting Issi), and four males. Despite the numbers being practically even, a shortage of females is an issue. Also, Raana is somewhat excluded due to every male also having a B immunity gene like hers, and while Nuro, Kuvan, and Issi are immunity-compatible, both Nuro and Kuvan will surely pass away from old age before Issi is fully grown. Next day, Nuku (male cracker jaw) and Sirere (female short-snout) are born. Both mothers are disappointed with the non-poison-fanged outcome. Fortunatley though, Simeis was not strucken by the coconut tree. She instantly moves out of the way. The tribe's ears perk up. A lot of them twitch their ears as the sound of waves splashing against the shore and the distant call of nichelings, or some other creature, can be heard. The tribe wonders to themselves if maybe those distant animal noises could be Adam's old family? Probably not, they reason. Surely finding his old family wouldn't be this easy? The two newborn nicheling's mothers pass away. The next day, two of the male nichelings pass away. Duktuvan is uneasy. He is the only one with poison fangs in the tribe now. Duktuvan, determined to hopefully keep his gene in the tribe, breeds with the only two adult females left in the tribe. They share an immunity (home island, G) but hopefully the babies will not be doubled up. Fortunatley, this wish comes true. The poison-fang gene has been passed on and saved. For now, at least. The poison-fanged child is named Vanta, and the cracker-jaw is Rekoko. (will update later. I'm out of time to play the game again. Hoo.)

  20. I remember a couple suggestions for electric weapons or an electric status effect. I would like to suggest a particle that seeks terrain through the shortest path - but considers an enemy unit or structure to shorten its path. Thus it would seek enemy craft as it attempted to approach terrain. An enemy struck would generate a new particle, which would exclude it from both pathfinding, and would no longer collide with that enemy. One shot would have the potential to hit many enemies, but could not set up an infinite damage loop. They would also be an ideal weapon for clearing out dirt, especially those pesky sub-pixel particles.

  24. Our tribe seems to be finding more toxic berry bushes, and everyone is fine with this except the cracker-jawed and short-snouted guys. The tribe is suspicious of the water puddles, as they have heard stories from Adam, who had been given the stories by his old home island tribemates, of swamp tribes having to battle bugs that lingered around them every day after it rained. However, the tribe still smiles at the sight of a healing plant. The next day, Raro smells the scent of a bad-meaning nicheling. Also, it's raining. He warns the tribe, and everyone moves forwards. Isis has another child, and the tribe gasps in awe as Adam's stripes make a comeback. However, everyone suddenly grows alert.. ...because on the same day the striped baby was born, the tribe has their first encounter with a bearyena and a bluebird. The tribe views Adam's stripes as a sign from Adam himself that the tribe/child is blessed. However, perhaps these stripes are a curse? Adam was carried away from his home by a bluebird. Also, there's a bearyena. To be continued, since I don't have any more time to play the game.

  25. So.. um.. Lemonpuff and Lemon pudding had another kid I named Laree, but then I passed the day and then suddenly I saw a little atatck symbol appear over her and she died. Then I realized... there's a Bearyena in the blind spot of my creatures (they can smell and hear him, but I hadn't done that recently, and Lemon pudding couldn't see it). And then I used up Lemonpuff's last turns (she had been damaged a bit from licking her mate's wounds when he got a leech) killing the Bearyena, so she couldn't have a third and final child (Laree was in the Perma nest) (The Bearyena is in the tile beside the perma nest and Jorin) Here's the Family tree (make sure you read the names on the bottom generation): Off we go! And here we are! (I kinda forgot to take a screenshot as soon as we got there so this is a day afterwards) TO BE CONTINUED

  27. So, I played a lot, but kinda forgot to take screenshots. So here's screenshots of all the creatures in the tribe: Here is Roroduk and his son, Keenah. One day, when Fish was young, she found a tree stump. She decided to call on it day and night. She eventually formed some rules for the tree stump empire: One creature at any time is in charge of the tree stump. Their only mate can only be a wanderer that was attracted to their calls. If the leader gets of the stump, any Nicheling may get on top of it and become the new leader, making the previous one live life like a regular creature. Thus, one day, when Fish decided to get off her stump in order to kill a Bunnil, Anaanaana got onto the stump and became leader. Fish was forced to flee to the outskirts, where she met Lemon. Back tot he tree stump, Anaanaana's son found Duyusiimi and became mates with her, having a single child named Roroduk. When Roroduk grew up, it was discovered that his grandmother was one of the two creatures with Home Island Immunity, and that he was her only chance to pass it on. Thus, they had three children right before she died, but none got the special immunity of Adam. Roroduk released his oldest two children, but kept his youngest, Keenah. When Keenah grows up, he is to be the mate of the only creature with Home Island Immunity in the tribe, Joli. (Shown later) And here is Ninki, daughter of Lena, with her two brothers Kirah and Kutanu. And here is Sunshine and her two daughters Stardust and Lilydust. Stardust is pregnant with an unwanted child of a Rouge Male. Story: Sunshine was orphaned at a very young age, as her parents had died when she was born, but Adar, mate of Lena, found her and took her in. Later, when both Adar and Lena had passed away, she found two males, Karin and Sunray. She fell in love with Karin, but Sunray fell deeply in love with her, even though she didn't care for him very much. Eventually, she decided to pretend to be the mate of Sunray, just so he would leave her alone, but secretly, she was the mate of Karin. Eventually she had a baby named Stardust, and Sunray, of course, thought that it was his baby. However, Karin didn't know it was his, and got mad and ran away. Sunshine ran after him, telling Sunray that she was just trying to convince Karin to come back so they could be friends again. However, what really happened was that Sunshine ran after Karin, and when she caught up, she told him about how she was just pretending to be Sunray's mate,a nd that Stardust was really his child. Once they made up, Sunshine became pregnant with Karin's child once again, but unfortunately, he passed away quite soon. When she came back, she told Sunray that it was his child, and when she gave birth, she named her new daughter Lilydust. After a day or two, Sunray realized that his children looked nothing like him, and realized that they were not his children. When he asked Sunshine, she told him the whole story. Sunray forced her into having a child with him (for real), so she agreed. Unfortunately, Sunray passed away right after, so he never got to see his child. Sunshine is still pregnant with Sunray's child. Two of Lemon and Fish's children, Lemonpuff (previously named Lara) and Lemon Pudding are getting ready to have their second child, while their son Jorin helps clear away the grass with his father's directions on where to move. (Yellow Gems = Descendant of Lemon, Pink Gem(s) = Scout Guide (guides the Blind Scouts) Two sons of Lemon and Fish, Lemonade and Snow Lemon, hang out with Jali. Jali is the daughter of the last creature with Home Island Immunity, and her father was a Rogue Male. Jali is destined to be the mate of Keenah when he is old enough. Current tribe:

  31. I solved this with a brief look this morning. I had to reconfigure more than half of it before the problem became visible. I had parented an LED ACROSS the transmitter instead of directly to it, and the struts were hidden. Wireless modules now seem to behave correctly. I still think in this example, the bottom left LED should light - I don't feel wireless should act as a splitter. That's what we have actual splitters for.

  34. oH mY gOsH I'm definitely joining this, I'll post a screenshot soon Look at my beautiful fish child, Dragon Tear ❤️ EDIT: So I decided to add her backstory in here since I just want people to be informed more about this mysterious Dragon Tear Dragon Tear was born on a rainy stormy night, being the first of her 5 siblings to not be sick. Her mother named her Dragon Tear based off the pain she endured while watching her children die before her but the strength she saw in this small delicate strand of hope for the tribe. As Dragon Tear grew, all of her sickly siblings had passed just after she earned her final gem and her parents passed soon after. Dragon Tear isolated herself far from the tribe because she wanted to grieve alone. While she was out, something happened to the rest of her tribe. The Apes attacked. One big eyed ape and one big nosed ape came along and began to terrorize the tribe. Hearing about this from a winged creature in her tribe, she raced back and ultimately sacrificed herself to the apes so the newborn babies in the tribe could thrive. She finally realized that the one thing she needed was company and the feeling of her tribe around her.

  35. This is Rela. She was born to the alpha pair of one of my older save files. (One that I'm pretty sure I deleted) She is my goddess of balance, and she lived her entire life on the savannah with her mate, Kirroku, a dark-red nicheling with black stripes and a claw. She had an older sister who was infested with jealousy at her younger sisters handsome mate and sucsessful life.

  39. My entry: Thornstar (birth name Laana) She is the literally my Godess of Beauty, as well as Hunting and Courage. No brainer for me to choose her. When she was born I knew right away that she was special and she proved herself as a provider to her Clan through hunting but also through protecting them from Bearyenas, but that is not where her title Godess of Courage comes from. She started a family later in her life and one of her sons decided to move on, make his own Clan and life. Thornstar let him go, despite knowing what dangers lie out there and that requires a lot of courage.

  46. These mysterious islands can only be found by traveling. You can't start on them, and they can't be reached from whale island. Even whales don't know where they are. Their ports can't be found easily. Kinda like whale island, they appear randomly, exept secret island ports can only be found in certain biomes. "But what kind of islands?" you might ask. Well that's left for the devs. They'd be secret after all. But if this suggestion gets 30 upvotes, (I want to knowif people like this or not) I will post my ideas for secret islands in seperate suggestions. I'm gonna post them even if this doesn't get the votes, but as normal island ideas.
