  3. I was trying to find the gene for the runner leg, so I tried putting in "fa" to see if legfast was it. But then, the console suggested something else! Setgene immunitygenefamily I think I may be the first to figure this out! Anyways, here you go people!

  6. The sixteenth rain comes, and the situation is the same. Thunderswoop demands answers from the Clan in Clouds, but Turtlesnow cannot explain the situation. To make matters worse, Beechstorm dies, and Thunderstorm is even more controlling. Along comes Applestem, a humble and cynical cat. He is kind and sees the clan is having a rough time, so he joins to help out. The seventeenth rain hits the clan. No longer patient with the Clan in Clouds, Thunderstorm demands that Turtlesnow get into an arranged matehood wtih him and raise a kit for the clan. Turtlesnow viciously declines, and Applestem backs her up. It isn't long before an apprentice-aged she-cat wanders into the clan. Her name is Dovewish. She is talented but rather inconsiderate. Soon after comes Longsky. She is silly, but her laziness can be quite annoying at times. The eighteenth rain strikes. Dovewish mates with Thunderstorm. Thunderstorm, close to death, names her the next clan leader out of favoritism. She has Spikefrost. Spikefrost is a great fighter and has leading capability, but also has commitment issues. Spikefrost is on patrol when he stumbles across Fleetpuddle, a rogue male who wishes to join the clan. He is a bold, family-oriented cat. The nineteenth rain hits the land, but nobody takes interest in each other. Soon, Cloverear, a rogue female, joins the clan. She is mature, aloof, and a bit vain. After that, an apprentice-aged cat wanders into the clan. He has great potential and wants kits, though he is a bit untrusting. His name is Fallenwhiskers. The twentieth and twenty-first rains come. Spikestorm is now leader, and Cloverear chooses him to be her mate. They have Goldenspring, an enthusiastic she-kit, and Snailrain, a carefree tom-kit. How will Spikestorm's rule go? To be continued...

  7. So, a while ago (like, months) I had a voting for whether Strong Bear or Stronger Bear. So, now I'm going to do another poll, this time for their descendants! (Bearyena Ears are still running in the family with only a little help from me ) I'm doing this a lot like the other poll! Luna Mother: Kaitlyn, granddaughter of my beloved Lisabet (Which i pronouce Lee-suh-bet, because I don't care what other people say), who was really strong. ) (shown in pic) Father: The only son of a webbed-hindlegged Rogue male and my sickly, cracker jaw, tailfin female. (shown in pic) Muations: Nimble Fingers and Peacock Tail. Sol Mother: Barre (pronounced 'bear'), the only daughter of Lenka, my previous leader, who had tailfin. Her father was a sickly creature named Alexan, who was quite strong, and had pretty red-pink stripes on his back. (shown in pic) Father: Blaze, a Purr-snouted (which hasn't showed up in a long time) male with antennae. His sister is mates with Barre's brother. (the poison-fanged guy in the background) (their first child is shown in the pic with the short snout, while their second was just born and is sickly (or, as I usually call it, has the sneezles. I know, it's weird, but that's what is say, okay?).) (shown in pic) Mutations: Purr snout and Peacock Tail (I reealllly want it back in the tribe). Now, go pick who should be the new leader of my tribe!

  8. I was here thinking, lots of the people like to create gods or wish to put a star on their fav. nicheling? well, i have lots of gods like the berry god all im triyng to say is, could we have an option that makes some nicheling gods (or put a star on them) so they could have a lil special event? By that i mean everytime a god is reborn we would win like 5+ food or 1+ speed or strength? And those things would actually be added on @Philo sugestion!!! Think about it

  9. I started playing your version of the challenge, and on the third day my creatures found a infertile baby girl, who was probably kicked out of her tribe--, er, Clan, because she can't breed. She sacrificed herself to a Bearyena while she was still recovering from two other Bearyena attacks, but her Spiky Body helped a lot and we were able to kill them all. Then my creature Softflight found a wanderer who has a wing. His name is SoftFLIGHT. Nice prediction there, generator. So now we have Wings on day 19...

  13. Sootstorm sets Minnowplum to lead, and his name is changed to Minnowstorm. Sootstorm dies and sends rain. Despite the new members, no one seems particularly interested in having kits besides Soilfur and Twigpad. They have Dandelionfawn, a kit with a slightly lighter pelt than Rollingstream. She is cynical, but would be a great warrior. Meanwhile, Clawleaf, an apprentice-aged she-cat, is found on clan borders, She is eccentric and patient. She is followed by Lionwillow. She is humble, a good fighter, and shows leading potential. Minnowstorm dies, and names Rollingstream- now Rollingstorm- as the next clan leader. It isn't long before Rollingstorm is approaced by Havenripple, a now seasoned medicine cat. Havenripple has seen things in the clouds, and states that the Clan in Clouds is urging them to move islands. Though reluctant to leave the land of her grandfather, she understands, and orders the clan to be ready for departure by the next rain. Like clockwork, the next rain comes, and the clan knows that it is their time to move. Led by Rollingstorm, they begin to trek to a new territory. Twigpad, close to death, orders that he will be staying in his homeland for his transition to the Clan in Clouds. Rollingstorm is brokenhearted at such a suggestion from her father, but obeys his final wishes. She takes one last look at the island before disappearing across the stones. An old Gorsespring dies along the way, but the rest of the clan makes it there in one piece. Havenripple dies after some time on the new island, and Rollingstorm, with a tinge of guilt, worries that Havenripple's message from Clan in Clouds may have been incorrect. Her fears are relieved, however, when shortly after her death, there is rain. Falconhorse takes Clawleaf as his mate, and thus comes forth the clan's first kit on the new island. They have Rustleberry, a quarrelsome and easily distracted she-cat. Rollingstorm dies and Dandelionfawn is made the next leader, now Dandelionstorm. The tenth and eleventh rains strike the clan. Clawleaf and Falconhorse have died, so no kits are born. Dandelionstorm, now old herself, instructs Rustleberry firmly on how to properly be leader. Rustleberry is by no means qualified, but Dandelionstorm takes what she can get and entrusts Rustleberry with the ownership of the title Rustlestorm. The rain continues until after Rollingstorm's death, like a prolonged gift from the Clan in Clouds- one of hope. Amidst the rain Rustlestorm comes across Crimsondusk, a hesitant and distractable warrior. After he comes Beechhaze, a sour-tempered tom with a soft spot for Rustlestorm. With him comes the thirteenth rain. Beechhaze is asked to be Rustlestorm's mate, and he agrees. They have Thunderswoop, an abrasive trickster. Rustlestorm chooses Beechhaze to be the next leader, to Thunderswoop's dismay. Rustlestorm dies. The next rain comes. No kits are born, but Crimsondusk sure finds one. In the rain on clan border, Crimsondusk comes across a terrified wet kit- nearly newborn. Never having had a kit himself, he takes her in as his own. He names her Turtlesnow. Turtlesnow has a natural affinity for medicine cat work. Now comes the fifteenth rain, but due to Turtlesnow's medicine cat-hood, she cannot mate. How will the clan expand? To be continued...

  20. I have to go on vacation until the day before Thanksgiving, so I'm gonna leave the poll open until then. (I can still access the forums through my tablet, but I can't play Niche ) Also, honestly, I want Luna to be leader, because 1- she's a female, so if I get a really low number she'll be able to have babies with released males 2- she's the granddaughter of a creature I really liked

  21. When I take screenshots, I do it to save my most beloved nichelings. Taking every screenshot invidually takes a lot of memory space. Taking group pictures makes me forget their names. In big tribes it gets hard to tell nichelings apart. Those issues could be fixed with this small feature. There should be a toggle to show nicheling names on top of their heads. This could be turned on and off at any time. Maybe in the settings, or there could be a button near the sense toggles. How did I remember almost everyone's names?! Only ones that I had to check from a familytree were Rowanberry and Kiratran!

You guys are all making me cringe and think of how lucky I am but at the same time I want a story like that to tell :,( I have, however, run full-speed into a screen door and grabbed a seemingly-prickle-less cactus with my bare hands before. Neither situation ended well.

  27. By the way, how are killer bearyenas born? are they a subpecies, or possibly a genetic mutation? Personally, I think it cant be a subspecies, because there are no babies, and they live alongside normal bearyenas. A genetic mutation may be the case, but then there could be killer bearyenas on other islands. I think its a behavioral pressure. As you can see, on other islands bearyenas are normally solitary, but here, there are tons of prey, so bearyenas are more common and they hunt in packs. Because of this, in order to control the pack, the strongest bearyena excretes hormones that cause its fur to darken, and it grows considerably in size and aggression. This helps it control the pack and keeps the ecosystem in balance.

  30. From the title, I bet you know what this is going to be about… Yep! The Hunger Games! IN NICHE!!! So here’s how it works. There’s 12 districts. You are allowed to claim only ONE district per round. You have to apply one MALE and one FEMALE tribute. Can’t be both females, can’t be both males, just how it works! You ARE allowed to use console… though you don't really feel the same if a console creature wins that you only created for looks than say, a creature that you bred specifically that you love. It doesn’t matter how strong the creature that you apply is. I’m using a Hunger Games generator that could potentially make a rouge male win over a 12 point strength Nicheling! You can only apply 2 creatures at a time. If you wish to apply more than one creature, then you will have to wait for next month’s Hunger Games round. (I want to do these monthly) If you want to remove a creature from the event, just change your font size to a larger size and scream at me to do so, I’ll definitely see it don’t worry. Be polite to each other. If you don’t get a district in time, then you’ll have to wait for next month. Every day, I will update the Official November Niche Hunger Games forum. Each day there’s is going to be additional storyline! (Might do more than one day in each update though because it might take too long) OKAY SO! Those are the basic rules for this event. Now, let me show you the format for applying for a district. Application Forum Username: (your Niche forum username) District: (district # you pick) Tributes: (names of your male and female tributes with PICTURES) Let me fill it out for an example: Application Forum Username: Basil District: 7 Tributes: Daze and Dragon Tear (currently can't insert pics oops) REMEMBER! You can only apply for ONE district and only TWO tributes, one male and one female. This part is optional: You can submit personalities for your creatures. It will help me build more on the storyline since the generator doesn’t really provide much of a story. I will build off of what the generator says and create a story in the process. The winner of the competition gets their creature that won drawn and also bragging rights! It will basically be a full body drawing of the creature that WON (that’s why I don’t recommend using the console since it’s only the creature that won, not your favorite creature). Layout for Districts: District 1: Claimed by A Nicheling Tributes: Adam the Second (♂), Jyn (♀) District 2: Claimed by Lilytuft Tributes: Ossen (♂), Silatlan (♀) District 3: Claimed by Goggles-kun Tributes: Pacific (♂), Lareko (♀) Personalities: Pacific is an excellent swimmer that thinks quickly and is smart. Despite this, he's not very strong and is actually quite gentle. Lareko is a fierce girl with tons of firepower and... kids (LMAO I LOVE THIS) When someone attacks, she lashes out and rams them to death with her surprisingly sharp horns. District 4: Claimed by Kepa-Shanyang Tributes: Birch (♂), Phoenix (♀) Personalities: Birch is a calm, yet hard-working individual. He is very determined, and will stop at nothing to get his goals done unless those goals could get him killed if he tried to hard to achieve them. He's cool-headed and smart, assessing situations and calculating solutions with ease. Phoenix is a spontaneous Nicheling with a fiery personality. They're quick to snap, and are hot-headed. They're very quick to jump to solutions, and to attack. They hate waiting and would like to be doing something nearly all the time. Despite the fact that the two are polar opposites, they balance out each other well and make a good team. District 5: Claimed by RandomWanderer Tributes: Anasire (♀), Mapleshade (♂) Personalities: Anasire is somewhat haughty, she doesn't like to stay anywhere for long - or with anybody, after having seen to many nichelings drained of their lifeblood to create the reincarnated. She is distrustful, jaded and somewhat of a wildcard and somewhat uneasy with relationships. Mapleshade, the first born child on this island, is the only strong link to the founders. He awards others by rank, some living normal lifespans, some unusually long, and some never die. Unlike Anasire, he treats responsibility very seriously. No children of his may be granted eternal live, as much as it hurts. They're somewhat enemies, uneasy allies and, of course, distantly related. Should this come to light, her death would not be swift. Mapleshade is warm, personable, loyal, careful, yet a womanizer, having taken many mates over his life. He is a master hunter to add on top of all that too. District 6: UNCLAIMED Tributes: N/A District 7: Claimed by Basil Tributes: Dragon Tear (♀), Daze (♂) Personalities: Dragon Tear is a level headed young female that generally keeps to herself most of the time. Whenever her family or tribe is in danger, however, all hell breaks loose. She unleashes an inner fury that involuntarily freaks out other Nichelings but at least keeps her family safe from harm. These spurs in energy can lead her into dangerous situations, however. Daze is the complete opposite of Dragon Tear. He is constantly seen showing off and boasting about how strong he is and how he can take on anything. But when the real dangers come along, he runs off with his tail in between his legs in fear. With Dragon Tear's reassurance, however, he is able to make it through these situations. These two paired up make a phenomenal team. District 8: Claimed by Skysplash8 Tributes: Meringue (♂), Emmai (♀) Personality/backstory: Meringue was a baby whose parents shared an immunity gene. I didnt know that until he was born. His mother, Alice, passed away as soon as little Meringue was born. When he was a teenager, he shrank into the shadows until he became an adult. Then he became mates with a female whose name, I think, was Snowberry II. They had a bunch of children before Meringue passed away. Only recently has the story of Meringue reached my other tribes, and now, instead of exiling/drowning sickly creatures, they are valued and known to be blessed by Meringue, god of sickness. Emmai: One time I started a tribe on Oasis. The male had claw, but he didn't pass it on. A bearyena came, and right at that moment, a wanderer appeared with big ears (perfect for hot weather), double claws, and ram horns. She was invited in and took down the Bearyena by herself in two/three hits. She had a lot of children (as much as our food supply could support) and the claw lived on. Emmai and Meringue often unite to creature strong, sickly creatures. Emmai is the god of hunting and strength. District 9: UNCLAIMED Tributes: N/A District 10: Claimed by bostonlobstah Tributes: Bright Star (♂), Ruffle (♀) Bright Star grew up in a stable family environment so he has a steady and devoted personality. He's also really, really strong. Double claws, ram horns, big body, bearyena hindlegs. He's a bit of a showoff with his peacock tail as well. He lives on the shores int he long grass, where he likes hunting rabbils with his family. Ruffle's father died when she was younger so she relied on her mother Perl and her older sister Ripple, who looks almost exactly like her. She has kits of her own now, and is very loving and motherly to them. Although not very strong, she would defend her babies with her life. She can often be found digging up worms on Platypus Kingdom Island. District 12: Claimed by Jojo Tributes: Rowanstar (♀), Night (♂) Personalities: Night is just a cute little guy born in the same tribe as Flame, who was the herald of the savannah winds (unlocked the king of savannah achievement). Night and Flame were fast friends and set out on many adventures together, even founding their own tribe and their own families. Rowanstar is proud and independent, but fiercely loyal. She is able to make good teams with anyone, and Night is one of those creatures she can team with easily. Good luck! And may the odds be in your favor!

  39. @thivid08I believe that might be so, too. They do have weaker senses, bad mutations for hunting, but need to fight off other bearyenas, maybe. At least I can't think of another reason to go strenght over hunting ability. It's kind of weird, but the ratio of normal to killer bearyenas might be ideal to the enviroment, much like gender ratios. Something still seems odd. I don't know what.

  46. @Alpino_WILL_STEAL_ oats! Our experience shows that it's best if we don't promise a deadline when we can't be certain that we can meet it. It's in one hand to protect the players so that we don't set up date-expectations we can't meet, on the other hand it's bad for our stress-level and results in worse quality that we want to provide Therefore we won't announce a timeframe for anything specific yet. But here on the forums you are the first to get to know everything, and also in the future you're able to participate in a testing-branch if you would like to
