  1. I wrote this in response to the prompt: "Write a story in which the reader is actively involved in the story." I do enjoy writing a story that's appropriate to the prompt, but still unexpected. This is written from the book's point of view. Generations of Paper I waited. So long, it seems, that I waited. Then, light fell upon my pages once more. It must have been years. The child who once looked at my illustrations in wonder had grown. It seems like you were ready to learn the truth behind the pretty pictures. You were more than you were. You had focus and commitment, and instead of touching the surface of the worlds within me you delved deeply. You immersed yourself in paper and ink and I regaled you with wonders. I told you about heroes and villains, of good men corrupted, bad men redeemed. I taught you about triumph and victory, failure and defeat, how to heal men and how to break them. I taught you the difference between fighting and battle, about friendship and about comrades and romance and betrayal and good and evil. I raised you within multitudes of worlds. Then the darkness came again. I waited. So long, it seems, that I waited. Then, light fell upon my pages once more. It must have been years. The teenager that I had raised among so many worlds was old, now. But the child in the bed was not. This child looked on in wonder, as you once did. “Once upon a time . . . ”

  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet buuuuuttttt I'm gonna just give my input anyways! So currently we have only one story mode option; Adam's Quest. Basically there would just be more options to pick from. For example... Story Mode option 1: Frozen in Time So basically, you would be put to a cut scene (like in Adam's Quest) showing the snowy mountains. You would see a nice tribe and things going along nicely. Suddenly, the sky darkens and a horrific storm erupts from the skies, sending the tribe into panic. They gather up and begin to leave when a young female, with the name of Primrose, is swept away from her tribe mates by the harsh cold winds. The last scene you see of the snowstorm is poor little Primrose being quickly frozen into an ancient ice block. The next scene cuts into a calm sea. You see the frozen ice block on a small, at least 6 block round island on it. This part of the island (or iceberg) drifted off the main island into a warmer climate. You see the ice block begin to melt and you get to see Primrose again, still with the thought and memory of being separated from her family. Confused, she realizes that she must find her family again. (Kinda like Adam's story but y oU KNOW whAt-) Primrose needs genes though because she starts the same every single time you choose this story mode. - Normal Ears w/ recessive normal ears - Normal body w/ recessive big body - Antlers w/ recessive megawhatever horns - Short Snout w/ recessive short snout - Runner legs/normal hindlegs - Hammer Tail - Furcolor white/white - Patterncolor white/black w/ pattern mask (any shape) - Horncolor black - Eyecolor Brown w/ recessive brown - Normal eyesight w/ recessive blind eyes - Special gene, like Adam's Home Island Immunity. The Snow Mountain Tribe Gene (Looks like a snowflake) Goal: Reach your home island. A lot like Adam's Quest but.... A different main starter that's also female. Story Mode Option 2: A Rouge Male's Tale Title for this story is somewhat self explanatory... We see a nice, cozy looking island (grass adventure, peaceful meadow, just a peaceful island) and we are shown a tribe that seems pretty well adapted to their environment. We are shown a lump of brown fur curled up in a nest that sits up and reveals a spit snouted, double crippled paw baby boy, known as Creek. The mother can be seen with a look of disgust and horror on her face and she rejects the young kit, thus leading to his later departure to his tribe. You get to access full control to him when he is one gem of age. Once he finally reaches adult, you have the option to stay on the island that the rest of your previous tribe is on but have the risk of being attacked, OR you can travel and start your own tribe and family. (Of course you wouldn't be able to interact with your family while growing up on the island because you were banished from the tribe). Creek is definitely a different rouge male. His kind and sweet nature leads to him getting shoved around by other rouge males. Creek doesn't have the same malicious intent as other rouge males do as well. Creek's Genes: - Normal ears w/ recessive normal ears - Normal body w/ recessive normal body - No horns w/ recessive ram horns - Spit snout w/ recessive big nose - Double crippled paws/ normal hind legs - Medium tail w/ recessive medium tail - Furcolor white/beige - Pattern color white/white w/ no pattern - Horncolor red/black - Eyecolor black w/ recessive blue eyes - Normal eyesight in both slots That's all the ideas I have for now. Feel free to suggest more things or link other suggestions similar to this one (trust me I tried so hard to find other suggestions like this one but there's so many suggestions at this point I just gave up) Thanks for reading

  3. I've loved the playthroughs people have been doing and wanted to do one of my own. My clan has to follow these rules in order to live peacefully: Always nest by trees, not directly under them To enter the afterlife they must die directly under a tree All wanderers are accepted into the clan Creatures can only breed when it rains, and can only move islands when it rains. The Clan begins with two mates from a former clan, RamHeart and SnowClaw, who have decided its time to start fresh on a new island. On the first rain RamHeart has StoneEyes, With this birth the two mates decide to keep the same second name through all their children. As the rains come and go frequently on this small island they have VervainEyes, Followed by OceanEyes.(who once grown becomes the first leader of the clan, taking on the Second name of Star.) One night a young nicheling wandered by the territory and was accepted in, Her name was CleftPaw, due to having one paw of much greater size than the other. She and VervainEyes become mates, and on the next rainstorm give birth to GoldenSun, while SnowClaw and RamHeart have SoulEyes, and decide that he is their final child, and by the next rainfall they will be too old to produce another. A few days later, siblings SpecklePelt and Bearpelt come to the clan looking for a home The island is showered with rain again, allowing for Cleftpaw and VervainEyes to birth their second child, DarkSun. Several days pass and all children grow of adult age. RamHeart and SnowClaw have passed under the Great Oak in the territory, their spirits joining the stars. Rain comes the day after their passing, considered a blessing from the ones who started the Clan. Specklepelt has fallen in love with GoldenSun, and SoulEyes with Darksun. Two Children are born. Mudpaw, from Specklepelt and GoldenSun, and DarkSoul, (Someday to be DarkStar due to him carrying horns the color of snow, reminding OceanStar of her father) by SoulEyes and DarkSun. A new face enters the territory, He goes by FireHeart, and quickly falls in love with OceanStar. Though it takes a while to win her over, by the next rain they are mates. OceanStar gives birth to SandStorm. DarkSun and SoulEyes have their second child, LightSoul, and SpecklePelt decides she no longer wishes to have children. Mudpaw has grown to take on the role of a medicine cat and never take on a mate. Instead he gathers the acorns from under the tree and sits with those who pass on their final nights. Though StoneEyes truly wanted Kits, She never met anyone who she fell in love with. MudPaw sits with her under the tree as she passes in the rain. VervainEyes Dies soon after alongside his mate CleftPaw and BearPelt. With her final days approaching, OceanStar decides it is time for the clan to move on, and passes on the role of leader to DarkSoul, making him DarkStar. She tells him to lead the clan to a larger island and to cross the stones on the next day of rain. She, SpecklePelt MudPaw and FireHeart all stay behind to pass underneath the tree. With the final rain, the remaining clan crosses the stones to a much larger island. Upon the first rain on the new island SandStorm and DarkStar fall for each other, and BerryClaw is born. A few days pass and DarkSun and SoulEyes pass under the newly founded oak tree, just a few days apart. After DarkSun's death comes rain, and with it the birth of BeachClaw. There is no rain for days, Sandstorm and DarkStar become worried. They are growing older and older and no wanderers have come through the territory so LightSoul, BearClaw, and BeachClaw have no options for mates. DarkStar has now grown too old to mate, he and SandStorm pass, and shortly after so does LightSoul. The rain comes but there is no one to mate with. With BerryClaw now named leader, becoming BerryStar, the fear that the clan will die with him and his brother is coming closer to a reality. BeachClaw takes off into uncharted lands in hope of finding a mate. After days and days of wandering he comes across SunSet, the two race back to the territory before it rains to return and discover that BerryStar has met a mate of his own, ShadowPelt. He names her as the next leader due to his old age. ShadowPelt becomes pregnant but BerryStar passes under the oak tree before the child is born. Rain finally comes. ShadowStar has a son, MousePelt. and SunSet gives birth to twins, a true sign of hope from the stars. They are named SandSnow and SnowSand. SandSnow is decided to become the next leader of the clan once ShadowStar passes. After ShadowStar's passing rain comes again, Sunset has a daughter. MaskSkull. The clan is adjusting to from food sources being meat to having to switch to berries from their lack of strength. SunSet and BeachClaw pass, All the children have reached adulthood. MaskSkull and MousePelt have grown sick of the code, they do not believe in the nichelings in the stars and run off to have their own pack. They have children in a far section of the forest, one after the other, not waiting for rain and not under an oak tree. They Have CrownedStar, given the name of Star at birth to mock the StarClan. Followed by InfernoSpirit, StarSeer, and WarriorMask. Meanwhile at camp SandStar meets a lone creature in the night. Her name is LavaFin. The two have a child during the first rain named HobbleFoot. The same day SnowSand discovers a kit lost in the forest, and brings her to the camp. Due to her odd appearance he gives her the name SpikeTail, He raises her. Back with MaskSkull and MousePelt, they receive punishment from the StarClan for their rebellious deeds. Their Fifth child, MerigoldEyes, is born intensely sick, and it's contagious. By this point CrownedStar has reached adulthood. In the night he takes his other three siblings and runs off into the night. Leaving his parents behind with MerigoldEyes. They run for a few days before stumbling upon the camp. SandStar realizes these are the children of his sister and welcomes them to his camp, that night they catch a dodomingo and leave 3 of its feather under the oak tree, in hopes that the nichelings in the stars will find forgiveness for them. MerigoldEyes sickness and the loss of their other children brings a sudden faith to MaskSkull and MousePelt, they rush to bring MerigoldEyes to an oak tree. They find one and sleep beneath it, catching her illness they pass within the next few nights, Leaving MerigoldEyes to wander the forest alone. To be Continued

  4. Maybe my True Beginnings Mode could be one? https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2881-true-beginnings-mode/ It could start with two babies somehow hiding underground or smthin and then a huge meteor (like how dinosaurs went extinct) comes and wipes out all the other creatures, and then the babies come out alive. Then you take control of them and you have to repopulate the Niche world with just your two creatures. Or it could be just one baby who survives, but then they find another creature who somehow survived.

  5. Here I will show adventures of my nichelings from SteelBlood tribe - that is already estabilished on their island, but just as the times of stability came along, that made the room for our dear nichelings to live their days more according to their own rules rather than bare survival. I will be sharing their stories from now on. “Rein, Rein! Your parents have decided! You will take over their role as Alpha! They had found a suitable mate for you! “ Old white Sime chirped excitedly while still running towards the oldest of Alphas’ children, who, by the way didn’t seem to be all that thrilled to hear the news. Sime was surprised to find her favorite niece protectively curled over a bundle of bright yellow fur. She blinked. “ Is that… that couldn’t possibly be… “ She begin, but Rein hissed aggressively at her: “Shhh! Don’t yell, everybody will hear you! “ while curling her tail around her legs to furtherly hide the little baby. The Baby however was feeling fidgety and it tried hard to get his muzzle out of mother’s fur – until it succeeded. And believe me, the sight of its face almost gave old aunt Sime a heart attack. “Oh no, what happened to it? It doesn’t look well… where is his beak? This doesn’t look natural, he’ll die! How will he eat with this… thing on his face? “ There was a lot of questions Sime wanted to ask, but kept her voice down… she loved Rein as if she was her daughter and didn’t want to get her in trouble. But boy, this was sure to get Rein in trouble If her parents knew… “Its father had face like that too and he was sure surviving… and alone, to mention that. It can’t be a lethal condition! “ Rein explained, a little calmer now seeing that her aunt wasn’t going to rat her out, but still, she was a bit angry at the mortified expression on Sime’s face. “Was it this loner your uncles tried so hard to chase out last month? Oh poor dear… those ugly monsters can’t be trusted to… “ “Stop! He did not force me to anything! He was real nice and while he did look strange… we both wanted to have at least one child… since I knew there was a big possibility that parents would choose my younger siblings over me… and when new Alphas are chosen only they can have babies…” “But you are the new Alpha… and what will become of this child? Parents want to see you right now. You can’t show it to them and expect them to accept it.” “Then I won’t… I… I’ll go see my parents… could you watch him for a while?” – Rein’s voice softened into shy plea, nothing of the previous aggression remaining… “Just tell me one thing Auntie…” – Rein started, turning towards the pathway leading to the royal nest “Yes?” “Is that future mate of mine… one of my little brothers?” Sime’s eyes saddened as she nodded. Rein looked at the ground… “As I thought…” – She wasn’t fond of the idea…she always imagined she would find her own mate… and she found… but he couldn’t stay, otherwise males from the tribe would kill him… and maybe they did… but so long as parents were strong and ruled as Alphas, there was no going around it… she had to obey them… for the good of her beloved child, so she can feed it in safety of the tribe… even if they couldn’t know about him… “Rein, you’re here, finally, what took you so long?” Said the big male by the royal nest – her father, Araka. Next to him was standing Inese, Rein’s mother with stunning black fur and darkest beak. Around the nest were her royal brothers and sisters – not royal for long, though, due to their tradition. Once a new alpha pair was chosen, which was about to happen – all the siblings would become workers. But most importantly, there was a baby curled up in the nest. With unique grayish shade of his beak, it bore a striking resemblance to his father. “This is Kirtanu, Rein” – said Araka “Your future mate as an alpha of this tribe.” “He is… so tiny… father, this is still a baby, he could have been my son by now!” Rein was agitated. How dare they order her to think about being… future mates with this baby. “Shush, dear” Murmured Inese, her voice gentler and less authoritative “I know he’s very young and it may seem weird to you… but he’s the strongest of our male children. It is the only guarantee that our tribe will stay heathy. Please understand. We only wish for you to have healthy children as an alpha. Tribe’s fate depends on it. You remember the stories about our ancestors on another island, right? How they almost succumbed to the plague because they risked breeding with weaker partners?” There was only concern in Inese’s voice. “If our ancestors didn’t flee the plague ridden land and create our traditions, our tribe would be gone long ago…” Rein knew that her mother truly believed her words… it didn’t make her less angry about being betrothed to the baby, but she didn’t want to seem stubborn in such serious matter. She could disappoint her rigid father anytime, she didn’t care, but to see her mother sad due to her decisions… that would have been too much for her. She didn’t have a choice. With a small nod she acknowledged her mother’s wish. “I understand” “Good thing” – Araka’s deep voice interrupted the exchange of words between Rein and her mother. “Now it is your duty to care for little Kirtanu. Be his friend and I am sure he will be a good mate to you once he grows up.” – There was something about the dry way Araka said this that bothered Rein. But then again, that was the way of the tribe… “As for you, my other children!” – Araka raised his voice “Now it is time for you to grow up and find yourselves a job among the tribe. There is never too little food collectors! See what you can find so Kirtanu and Rein won’t have to worry about hunger when as future alphas they will be caring so our tribe will have a glorious future! His two other teen sons seemed oddly excited for what was, according to Rein, quite a miserable life… without children, without mate… in a way, even though she weren’t glad about her parents’ choice, she felt lucky that she got to be the next Alpha after all… maybe when her parents retire she could even get the tribe to accept her firstborn son… Her sister on the side seemed a little sad. Reasonably though – she shared Rein’s desire for motherhood – but wasn’t so lucky. Rein made a promise to herself to talk about it with her sister… later. Now as everyone was leaving for their duties… she stared at Kirtanu’s cute baby face… nothing like deformed snout of her own son. Kirtanu had every quality of a true SteelBlood. Shining yellow fur, beige mane starting to emerge on his head, sharp, healthy looking beak and strong paws… her mother may have been right after all… what if this is just… the best that can be for the future of the tribe? But first things first. Her son, contrary to her future mate, was already able to walk reasonable distances… she couldn’t have him discovered by the tribe. Not when Araka was still leading it. She decided to ask aunt Sime a big favor. To care for her son. And get him away from the tribe, over the water. She promised to bring them tribe’s food rations every day. Sime wasn’t sure at first… but she was already getting old… maybe she could grow older doing something more exciting than gathering berries? She was denied motherhood by tribe’s tradition – but she still could help caring for this child, as deformed as he is… maybe this could ease her restless maternal instincts? So she agreed, and they went to cross the water. None of them ever seen what’s beyond the shore of their peninsula. Now they were about to see… but they had to wade across first. After leaving her firstborn under Auntie Sime’s care, Rein took care to sneak them food every day… but she couldn’t interact much with her child, the tribe would notice if she was missing for too long. And one day… all she found was Sime’s body on the shore… old white SteelBlood clearly passed away in her sleep… she looked so peaceful. But for worse… young Arkeo, her only son, was nowhere to be seen! Has the blue bird taken him? No, he surely was big enough not to fall prey to it… but the rain washed out any scent of his… after searching the little island through and through, the only thing to do was to return to her tribe. Days were passing and Rein seemed sad, but no one noticed – everyone was busy with their own duties as workers. There was one creature who cared though. Young Kirtanu was maturing into a formidable young male, and has always seen Rein as his friend, and hoped that they could be something more soon. After all, his father Araka used to tell him that they were meant to bring forward future generations of the tribe. Every day he tried to cheer her up, but he had no idea why she was so down… but Rein appreciated his care… eventually she started to forget about her sadness, and decided that maybe this is what had to happen… for the good of tribe. And it would be best to just go along with her fate and become mother again, but to true SteelBlood children who would inherit the land after her… and no one would treathen them or look down on them…

  7. This is a nice idea ^^ It would be really nice to have other story modes, with their own lines and such. More RP too 😆

  8. "Rookbranch will be my deputy," declares Birchstar to the ginger she-cat and her father. He expects some form of rebuttal from Morningshadow, but Morningshadow's eyes shine with nothing but pride. "I am so proud of how she has grown," Confesses Morningshadow to the ancient cream-colored tom. "She has worked so hard under your training. It's time she shows what she can do." To Birchstar's suprise, Rookbranch is filled with questions about leadership and what she will have to do. However, she is most interested in the special things about being a leader. "How far back are we related?" "Over many, many, many generations," Confesses Birchstar, flicking his tail. "I have seen many come before you. I must admit, it has been an adventure. You are not the first, and you will certainly not be the last. Especially when you have kits of your own." "What were your kits like?" Birchstar flattens his ears. It feels like forever to him since he last got to really think about them- Stoatsun, Fuzzypoppy, Treemist, and Swiftfur. He cannot dig too deep without feeling emotional, especially after something reminds him that in a matter of time he will be with them again in Starclan. He decides not to get into it. "The whole clan counts as my kits. Everyone here is under my responsibility." He quickly changes the subject. "Rookbranch." "Yes, Birchstar?" "When I die, I have an order for you. Get out of here. Take the clan and go to another island. This land is old, Rookbranch. We've been here for hundreds of moons. It is time to move on. I will be watching you. Have no fear." "Yes, Birchstar." The clan is joined by a wanderer female named Blizzardsun. She and Rookbranch become fast friends, and Blizzardsun becomes very attached to her, threatening to fight whoever comes near her or the territory in a threatening manner. Birchstar's time comes. Laying comfortably in a nest surrounded by undisturbed thorns, he finally sleeps. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Birchstar's eyes open slowly. He is in a blurry meadow. The distorted form of Yarrowleap is there, but she is not the Yarrowleap he remembers. Her fur is a red rather than the white he remembers in, and her jaw is slightly thinner. She seems to be a blend of the Yarrowleap he knew, and a Yarrowleap from long before. However, as his vision cleared, so did his memory. He understood. The cat he saw was the same one he knew in two lives. The same cat Brightclan was founded upon, the same cat who he woke up alongside on the island so many moons ago. They had made it through life together, twice, and finally the two of them could relax together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We have to go," Rookstar informed Blizzardsun. "It is time." "But what about the territory?" Asked the paranoid she-cat. "It doesn't matter. A new territory awaits us beyond here." About a week's travel lands the duo in a new territory. Rookstar is on her second life now. They find a string of islands.

  9. I make the bearyena clawed creatures of my clan kill it - unless I'm in desperate need of new immunity genes, then i might invite them in and try to breed them, hoping to breed out their negative traits later. If I have plenty food and good amount of resources around, I just keep it separated by at least a tile from other nichelings and have it as a food collector in far away places. I don't let them infect the parents so they are exposed to bluebirds, but if they survive, they stay. In extreme food shortage I try to drown them though, having them attempt to fish meanwhile Have my least useful/ non-breedable nichelings surround it and attack it, can't run forever after all. Wait of course If It was first encounter for the tribe, I'd tame it. If not and I already had Bearyena genes unlocked... oh well, free food!

  10. I was thinking maybe you could have, a little space to write where you store notes on your nicheling when you click on them in the tribe profile thing? If you're creating lore for your tribe, then I think it would make it a lot easier to keep track of all your characters!

  11. I once got a melanistic rouge male with blue eyes and black ram horns. Totally didn't use the console to give him runner's legs so I wouldn't have to deal with crippled paws hahah

  12. 1) I would eat them- oh wait that's not possible?? Oh okay I guess just u h ... y'know kill them off... 2) If I have enough food to go around AND they have really good genes or genes that I find desirable, then I'd keep them. Otherwise I'd usually just leave them for bluebirds or drown them... 3) I would rally up the adults and hit the bearyena once with each adult to ensure that the bearyena is hurt and that it has a shorter life span each day. I would obviously only use adults because I have three moves with them, I'd never use teens for this 4) Unless they like... move three tiles a day, I would bring them with! 5) Invite it in! Even if I don't need the genes it would still wander the island and kill things for my tribe and also fend off other bearyenas and stuff... Plus they give a nice bounty of free food ;))

  13. Update time: MerigoldEyes continued to wander the forest alone, before her sickness caused her to be too weak. A gentle voice guided her to a tree, where she lay and rest and passed in the night. Back at camp SpikeTail and HobbleFoot fall in love. SandStar reaches old age and passes on the role of leadership to CrownedStar, allowing him to give meaning to his second name. On the first rain, Spiketail has her first child, TroutPaw. Within the next few days it rains again, resulting in the birth of BearClaws. All is calm in the clan over the next few days, it rains again and SunFire is born. The clan has extended their territory in a way that allows plenty of food to be gathered and caught. InfernoSpirit hunts moles, StarSeer gathers berries, WarriorMask and CrownedStar work together to hunt moles. BearClaws tears down bushes and hunts for moles. TroutPaw is the new medicine 'cat'. HobbleFoot and SpikeTail grow old, and on their final night they sit under the tree, tails intertwined, and fall asleep to join the stars. Their three children gather around the tree and say their goodbyes. SunFire, still just a child, is heartbroken. He vows to never have a child, so they never have to suffer the pain of losing their parents. BearClaws and WarriorMask become mates, and with the next rain have a daughter, CoyoteHeart. CoyoteHeart grows and leaves the nest. CrownedStar sees intense potential in her, and though it is his last day of life, he pronounces her the next leader. He passes beneath the Oak tree, under the watch and comfort of TroutPaw and his sister, WarriorMask. CoyoteHeart begins to wander the territory, helping out where she can. Tearing down unused bushes and catching thieving rabbils. the next rain comes and her sister, PythonPelt, Is born. (forgot to take a picture of her as a child) On the same day, CoyoteHeart finds a nicheling wandering the territory, His name is FishTail. Though he is a young loner, he sees greatness in the clan, and decides to join them. Within the next few days, InfernoSpirit and WarriorMask pass below the tree. BearClaws, So much younger than WarriorMask, is devastated. He sticks by PythonPelt, teaching her all the ways of the clan. It rains, but there are no mate pairs, and hence no children. Instead, StarClan gifts the pack by leading a wanderer their way. A young nicheling named FrogFoot is discovered by StarSeer, and welcomed into the Clan. CoyoteHeart and PythonPelt reach adulthood. CoyoteHeart is now named CoyoteStar, and she falls for Fishtail. PythonPelt and FrogFoot become mates as well, excited for the next rain to allow them all to bear kits. Another surprise enters the camp, as a beautiful wanderer named SnakeSpikes sneaks through to try to steal a few berries, BearClaws finds her, and it is love at first sight. Over the next few days, TroutPaw and StarSeer pass below the tree. The next rain comes, and all mates gather below the tree to prepare the nests. The females fall asleep while their mates watch over them, ready for the three new additions to come to the clan through the night. And at dawn they come. From left to right is NightSpikes, GreyStorm, and LionEyes. The clan watches them lovingly, this is the new beginning. To be continued.

  14. I think it would be really cool if there were some reptile-inspired genes in the game! Some reptiles these genes could come from might be: Camouflaging skin (Patterns Section) that gives added camouflage in any environment. Inspired by chameleons. Prehensile Tail that gives +3 Climbing to climb coconut/oak/jungle trees, to hide from predators or collect extra coconuts/acorns. Inspired by many climbing reptiles. Independent Eyes that give +3 Eyesight. Inspired by chameleons. Scaly Body, a negative trait that causes the creature to become too hot or too cold easily in extreme environments. Inspired by reptiles in general.

  16. Hollymist grows up into a warrior. She mates with a friendly Bearyena. (because jinkies scoob i cant handle all these spit snouts). She has Fidgetblaze, a easygoing kit with a desire for adventure and to run. Fidgetblaze is mentored by Birchstar, now on his seventh life. Heavybrook enters the clan, an emotional she-cat with hopes to better the clan. She is attracted to Fidgetblaze, and together they have a kit of their own. Her name is Sweetmole. She isn't a popular cat, however, due to her strange appearance. Even so, she is loved well by Birchstar, for he believes in her. Birchstar encourages Fidgetblaze and Heavybrook to have another kit to help repopulate the clan, and they do. They have Tumblemouth, an outspoken she-cat. The clan is joined by a wanderer male named Morningshadow. He has a desire to be a great warrior and to bring peace to the clan. Tumblemouth likes his thoughts, so they have a kit. They name her Rookbranch. Rookbranch often butts heads with her parents, for she cares little about morals and peace, and would rather show rogues who's boss by fighting them off, tooth and claw. Birchstar goes to transition to his last life. He realizes that this means he must now decide who his successor is to be- he cannot live forever, and it's about time there's a new leader. He shifts his eyes onto each of the trio of cats that lay peacefully by the newborn kit's nest. Tumblemouth is one of his own kin. However, she cares more about being right than keeping the peace. Morals are more important than anyone's feelings to her. She would crush differing opinions in a clan. Meanwhile, Morningshadow has heartfelt, honorable aspirations. He has a big heart and desire for peace. But would he be able to stand up to an enemy when he needed to? And as for Birchstar- would he be able to hand his clan over to a cat who'd only been there a few moons? Rookbranch is only a kit, but she is the kin of Birchstar. She cares about defense and little about what is moral and what is not. She will put her clan first, but at what cost? Birchstar's heart is set on Rookbranch. He will make her his own apprentice, he decides, and he will teach her everything that she needs to know. He will announce her deputyship when she becomes a warrior, keeping it secret to all, even her, until then. Rookbranch will be the next leader of Brightclan.

  17. A Wanderer with bad genes appears. What will you do with them? I often kill nichelings with bad genes unless im desperate for genes A sickly baby is born, and you don't want it in your tribe. What will you do with them? I either send them off on their own, or feed them to birds/predators at a young age A Bearyena appears, and all your creatures only have one strength. Do you fight it off and suffer the consequences, or run and hope for the best? i have some attack/destract it, while others run One of your favorite creatures is really slow, and gets left behind when the tribe heads for the port. Do you wait for them, or go on ahead without them? i always make my best go first, so this often never happens. If were not in a rush, then we wait. If we are, we leave them. A Bearyena appears, and you kill it. It has a baby, and the tribe has an okay amount of food. What do you do? By "ok" i assume you mean mid amount (say alot is 100, ok would be 50) i would probably invite it, then if we need food later well eat the baby

  18. It seems to be a problem of stability rather than force, or number of blocks. Blocks pushed forward collide with the frame that keeps them from going sideways, as seen in the following examples. Struts may not be absolutely rigid, but they are not extensible in the least. Which is extremely useful in this sort of situation, as it lets one craft an extremely rigid frame that is not necessarily heavy.

  20. Alright so I've created my new save and named it "Playthrough Boi" so that's fun So of course we're starting off with stripey child Adam, as usual.I'm not sure why my mouse pointer was that far up, but moving on.. He's so far away from the port! Anyways, Adam ended up getting to the new island on the fifth day of his existence? time away from his home island? either way, it's been five days. It's fairly big for only the second island! And I've found Eve!! She's actually very pretty, and I'm not sure if its visible, but she has blue eyes. Maybe she can pass those on to her kids (hopefully). On the seventh day (Adam's second day on the second island) Eve is pregnant. I was looking at memes a second ago so I'll be using memes for the names of their kids So Adam and Eve's first baby is born and he's an unfortunate shade of yellow, but that's ok. He's called Kuvan, and since I'm feeling uncreative, I'm going to wait to give him his meme nameAnd there's the second baby, Vankukir, he's pink. And much prettier than his brother, honestly..On day 12, Eve is pregnant again because I want a baby girl or at least one with a claw; claws could be useful on future islands. So it's ANOTHER boy.. But, I mean, he has a claw and poison fangs, so I'll take it! He also looks essentially like a clone of his oldest brother (at least in colouring), Coincidentally his name is Vanku, which is basically his brother's when you reverse the syllables, so that's kinda fitting. Anyways, I'm going to breed Adam and Eve one last time before I move everyone to the next island, so Eve will be pregnant when they get there. The whole family's ready to move to the next island! Off topic, but I've decided not to give them meme names unless I have some massive wave of motivation to think properly within the next five minutes. Anyways, fifteenth day, next Island:To be continued when I have a functioning brain and have made a dent in the massive pile of homework I'm currently suffocating under.

  21. So this is kind of random but I have a question-- I've seen a few people doing playthroughs (if that's the right word, I'm not quite sure), and I realized that they were for a challenge that's closed. But I was wondering if it's okay for me to do something similar but unrelated to the challenge, like just documenting a new game that I'm starting? I just want to make sure I don't do something that I shouldn't, lol

  26. Sugar gliders. Or sand cats. Sand cats look like kittens even as adults. The actual kittens are, like, double kittens.

  27. This boy is a Blue Sea Slug and he’s poisonous and venemous and eats Portuguese Man-O-War jellyfish while just drifting across the ocean. Other names include Glaucus Atlanticus, Dragon Slug, Sea Swallow, Blue Angel, and Blue Glaucus. I just love the Blue Sea Slug.

  30. For sake of posting ridiculously powered things that probably need to get fixed, and that there is a discussion active about factories, I give you the World Slayer. Directions: -Descend to planet -Push "Exterminate" -Make the scary eyes -Watch the boom (optional- fly around and marvel at the shattered husk of a dead planet) -Return to Nimbatus

  31. Nice! you're already using the same "fuel" and basic enclosure as me. This is a closeup of what I added from there. You can use quite a few lasers when it's mostly stable, but more than this was a little less reliable than I desired. You can use proximity sensors set to terrain to detect when your block gives up the ghost linked to a factory to auto build another one. In some designs, I had to put the auto build on a short delay because existing momentum could auto pop the new block. The other tricky part after the device is stable is working out an offensive weapon system that doesn't blow up your own fuel 😆

  32. THIS IS MAGNIFICENT. Also, I suppose the lasers apply a force to your craft that is supposed to counterbalance the one applied to your target. Otherwise, targeting terrain for example could, I imagine, drag you into it. Which I would not mind in the least. Science fiction comes at the price of physics it seems. On a side note, I will praise your nickname for ages to come. Edit: it indeed is a little tricky to get these parts not to be destroyed by the jittery movement. Otherwise, this is an excellent way to bypass transmitters that reduce thrust.

  40. I actually think that nichelings, while they may look like dogs or cats, are actually descendants of an entirely different group: The viverrids. These carnivorians share multiple similarities with the nichelings, and they are related to hyenas, like the bearyena, which is the closest relative of the nichelings. Nichelings also cant breed with ramfoxes, which are canines, so this makes sense. My theory is that after a mass extinction, many ecologigal niches were emptied, so viverrids were able to come down from the trees and diversify in many, many ways, giving rise to the nichelings. I also think that nichelings may be related to mustelids, because they also share similarities.

  43. I kinda forgot to take screenshots (again) so here's some pictures of the tribe and the mini-island they have already moved on from. Fish-shaped mini-island! (It's getting a little fishy) The tribe is trying to move on to the next mini-island... ...though part of the tribe has already made it across. Oh, hi! My three sickly creatures. (Not including Takunu) The short-snout and the derp-snout are twins. When Owl and the derp-snout grow up, I'll have them have children, because they have different immunities. Also, I didn't notice until now that we were past day 100. LOL. I also decied to discontinue the Blind Scout thing. It's just becoming too much of a hassle. TO BE CONTINUED

  44. True Beginnings Mode: A mode that makes it a 'you're-the-only-creatures-in-the-world' challenge. No Wanderers or Rogue Males New Immunity genes (ones that the breeding pair doesn't have) have a chance to be randomly mutated (but not in the mutation menu) Genes that need to be bred in from wanderers (i.e. antenna) would either need a way to be unlocked or be randomly mutated like the immunity genes Bad genes (blind eyes, shortsighted eyes, deformed paw, etc) have a chance of being randomly mutated in like Immunity genes Released males have a small chance of becoming rogues Every time a day passes, a new plant has a chance to spawn (ex. You are on a Tiny Green. Tiny Green could have, say, a max of 5 bushes spawned in when your creatures enter the island, and a max of 5 bushes that can be spawned in. Every day has a 10% chance of a new berry bush spawning in, and once one does spawn, the chance of a new one appearing after that goes down to 9%, and so on.) This could happen with berry bushes, poison berry bushes, healing fruits, carnivorous plants, those plants that looks like cotton and give nesting material, kelp, water-breathing plants, and grass (explained further below). If a plant does have a chance to grow, it will spawn in as a seedling, eventually growing to maturity. The island you start on is called Eden. Only a few berry bushes are full gown, and the rest are still seedlings. All grass is already 'cleared out', and the re-growing grass is still regrowing. I'm too lazy to write anything else so the rest can be decided by devs/comments.

  45. Hi there, since digging is atm not used very much, I thought it would be nice to give it a few extra uses. For example, if you have double-digging claws you can dig up moles and that a nearby nicheling has to kill immediately or it flees again. After that, the digging-nicheling can use that burrow for a few turns to hide himself from predators or even travel through the mole-tunnels to a different burrow in the cleared area overseen by other nichelings. But only for a few days safely, after that they recieve damage since their bigger bodies block fresh air to come in (like drowning in the sea). Greetings, Kaga87
