I've made a couple of suggestions in the past. One of them was really dumb. One part of it was actually something I want to have in Niche. A second pattern slot for white underbelly. This gene would have multiple variations, the most common being "no bicolor" or something like that. Maybe additionally a size modifier gene? You could get different variations of it from wanderers and you would unlock the mutations for those as you invite them in. The white underbelly would cover their normal pattern, creating some interesting fur desings. Adam's tribe member with type 2 bicolor Who wouldn't invite her into their tribe? This beaky boy has cookies on his fur! How cute! Bicolor mixed with wihite fur or white pattern could create some interesting patterns. (This nicheling has raccoon pattern) I could finally have the tabby spots of my dreams! Yes, crackerjaw nichelings with amber eyes do stare at you creepily. Bu there is a nice van coloring. Speaking of van, I wonder if poor Vanvan in a catcus inpired the Niche team to make the heatbody...6 points

What if there was a seasonal fur color that changed color in the mountain biome? Like when there is no snow, the fur is a moss-brown-grayish color, and when it snows, the coat gradually turns white, like in Arctic foxes and other Arctic animals. It would give +2 camouflage and maybe +1 cold resistance when it turns white! I don't know if the white fur camouflage works on the mountain biome when it's not snowing, but if it does, then in order for my fur to be useful, there would need to be a different color for camouflage in the mountain biome when there's no snow. I don't know exactly how this would work either, or whether it would be a fur color slot or a body slot, or its own new gene. Leaning towards body slot because I don't see it working on other bodies besides big, medium, and lean bodies. Arctic Foxes:6 points

Hello everyone so sometimes playing niche of have a hard just trying to name them especially after like 20 generations and I bet other people do to so here are somethings I do to name them and funny or cute names 1. Name them after animals or fish or things like insects like grasshopper but that does get weird once you get cat or bird. 2. Name them after gods or goddess from ur niche pantheon or from mythology like zues or Loki I do this not often cuz of how hard it is to peenounce the names some times 3. Food do I need to say anything more And here are some random names I find cute 1. Moonlit 2. Creasent 3. Golden ray 4. Susan 5. Peach And many more if u have any4 points

This would be awesome, though it would be better if it's stats were a little balanced out. With the current stats, it's a Big Nose but with three collecting. I propose for this Cheek Pouch to instead have 2 collecting and 2 smelling, that way it's just a little more balanced so it won't always be the gene that every tribe aims for. Also, how would it be unlocked in the mutation menu? Maybe the cheeks could fill up when you collect berries, and when the night comes, the creature will deposit the berries into the food store, eating from it's deposit. (It would deposit the food before everyone eats) .4 points

Camouflage is an important feature for many animals. The game features two different methods at the moment; colour matching from the colour genes and disruptive colouration from the pattern gene. Another widely used method of camouflage is countershading When light falls on a uniformly coloured animal, it causes shadows on the animal's undersides. This makes the animal easier to detect by threats. In countershading, the animal's undersides are paler than the rest of the body, countering the effects of self-shading and helping to camouflage the animal better Countershading would be a new gene with three different alleles. It would have an allele for no countershading, an allele for high countershading and an allele for low countershading. Dominance would be no countershading > high countershading > low countershading. High countershading would be more suited to an open environment and would add camouflage in the grassland, savannah and mountain biomes. Low countershading would work better in a darker, more closed environment and would add to camouflage in the jungle and swamp biomes Above below countershading is another type of countershading used underwater by animals such as sharks and rays. The parts of the body which can be seen from above are darker, camouflaging the animal with deep water, while the parts of the body which can be seen from underneath are lighter and camouflage the animal with the surface of the water. Because of the way a nicheling's body is shaped, this type of countershading would be ineffective so I haven't included it Below are some pictures of animals with countershading. These are, from top to bottom: a pair of Przewalski's horse, a leopard, an axis deer and a great white shark3 points

Allegiances Document - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wQLfagTd9UV4ks3QU4POV8i1x_-pcaQsh8cXGhUL5TY/edit?usp=sharing [-x-] Basic Clan Info: DarkClan is a clan that likes to stay hidden. They are highly spiritual cats, and believe that the stars know best. They tend to have darker pelts, and they have special names for their ranks, and their leader functions as clan leader and medicine cat. BrightClan is supposedly just your average clan. They believe in clan loyalty and honor, and are not afraid to put themselves out there to make a point. They tend to have brighter pelts. However, all may not be peaceful in BrightClan. Perhaps there are some cats with other intentions than staying loyal and serving their clan. [-x-] We start our journey with these two clans. On the left is DarkClan, and on the right is BrightClan. There are ten cats in each clan, but DarkClan has more cats serving as warriors. The cats were originally all one group, but they broke up due to arguments about where to settle their territory. BrightClan wanted to settle by a nice tree sitting by a small stream higher up on the island, while DarkClan wanted to settle in the island's lower parts, making their camp in a small patch of swampland. The cats, whose opinions divided them, have now split up and are deciding to go their seperate ways. Patchstar will be leading DarkClan, while Waspstar will lead BrightClan. Funny story from the journey: I accidentally got Waspstar mixed up with DarkClan! -And now, transition to after we've journeyed!- Within two days, the clans have found their camps and are to begin setting them up, when someone is found by NightClan's yet-to-be-made camp! The strange-nosed tom is named Copperstride. DarkClan is a little very largely biased against his bright pelt, near-infertileness, crippled paw, and recessive webbed hind legs, shortsightedness, and albinism. NightClan, not wanting a bright-furred or weird-snouted cat in their clan, turn Copperstride over to BrightClan. BrightClan takes him in, accepting him for his differences. They're sure he'll be a useful warrior! In fact.. he even has recessive toxic body. Camps are being set up, and Waspstar, who was recently visiting DarkClan to make sure they weren't having any trouble, and to pick up Copperstride, returns to BrightClan. Eventually, the camps are set up. They're a bit close to each other, but they're there. Now that's done, we just have to start exploring the territory, and create a border. Welp, I don't wanna be monologuing through this entire thing about where we've been and what we've done, so I'll end this off here and start narrating the story through a more story-like way of speaking in the next update. This is just a pilot update. Also, I'll put images in the allegiances later.3 points

Since we have a miss (Mr.) niche competition, the lovely derpsnout companions and wanderers don't get much love. Should there be interest, we could have a competition on this, too. Only a few rules. Each statement is worth points, three are required for entry. The contestant has 1. The derpsnout (2 points), or is a wandering nicheling with derpsnout (3 points). 2. Miss-matched paws or low fertility. (1) 3. A very strange pattern or colour combination, including above average plain-ess. (1) 4. A very interesting story, but no skills for survival in their biome. (2 points), and the derpsnout (3 points)3 points

He is so strange! I have never seen a rogue with active antennae. Melanism and blue eyes are quite striking. He does meet the requirements well even if I were to half some points. (4,5 -- 3,5). Thank your fo your entry!3 points

maybe we can give a pattern that hides nichelings especially well when young, but doesn't work as well when they age, maybe +4 camo for juvies and babies, and +2 for adults3 points

Smell could go down to 1 or 2 and collecting could stay 3. Pouches on chipmunks can apparently reach the size of their body when completely full, and would be able to gather a lot more efficiently than the nimble fingers which give 2 collecting I hadn't really thought about how it would be unlocked. Perhaps the nichelings would need to gather a set amount of berries to unlock it. 125 maybe? That would be a bit more than the nimble fingers, but not too much3 points

Dapper and his reincarnations: The Original (tribe-born. His fertility sucks). I tried to find him a mate but no one was compatible and his fertility was horrible (for story purposes, they thought he was too vain, though attractive with his pattern and mask). So I just left him on the island and moved to a new one. (as a loner in warrior territory) (tribe born but he was part of a wanderer challenge so his father was a wanderer and his mother was the child of wanderers) (as a scorpion tailed wanderer) Dapper is my god of....attractiveness and narcissism. His reincarnations always have derpsnout and C pattern mask.3 points

I'd say the stupidest "derpiest" creature I have is none other than Apricot! That, or I couldn't find any other candidates. If you haven't read my Niche Competition Journal, Apricot is Velvet's mate. He became her mate after swooning her over to his side and having a child with her. Though she thinks Apricot is pretty cool, his crippled jaw still haunts her.3 points

Meet Heron! Heron was a member of the Bird Tribe (a tribe that often sends their tribe members to find other tribes and help them,a nd also always have bird names (this is the story for every wanderer found in this tribe), and as you can see if the family tree, he has a lot of tribemates who have come to this tribe. he was found on the Archipelago, but as he grew old, the tribe started moving over the the next small island. Heron was left to take care of a baby that was born right before her mother crossed to the other side. Heron and the child collected food until the other creature was old enough to cross the divide, and before she left, became pregnant with Heron's child. I don't remember what his child looked like, but they were probably pretty cool and, I'm sure, had children. After his mate crossed over to the last small island, Heron collected food alone until he passed away.3 points

Your reward would be a drawing by me, though it might take a while as I can't draw for life, matching with the theme of the competition. Here is an example: -- derpsnout, missmatched paws and genes for the enviroment. Van is a much loved tribemember by a rather new Clan along the shore, found as an old, cranky cat with many stories to tell, not all of them true. For dramatic effect, of course. Life wouldn't be as fun otherwise.3 points

In one of my tribes (with 678 days so far), they have 1436 food. This is probably because I'm always under 18 creatures, since it's my whims of Fate Challemge tribe (My tribe numbers range from 3 to 18). In my Niche Competition Tribe, they have 285 food so far, though at one time they have over 300 (they have 14 creatures right now, and moving towards a Burning Savannah port). I like to be able to destroy berry bushes, so usually I go for claw or Bearyena claw in my tribes and destroy every bush they come across. Sometimes I destroy cacti too3 points

How did you find out about Niche? What were your first impressions of it? I found Niche through Seri! Pixel Biologist!'s videos. Niche was on verion 0.0.6 and didn't look very interesting. Still I looked it up on Steam. I was kind of interested, but my sister conveced me that this game was not worth it. My English was really bad at the time, so I tought this was a strange game about genets. (You know, the animal?) That made the game seem really unrealistic to me XD. And so I was left wondering what would happen if you filled an entire island with these strange creatures. Later Seri started making videos about Warrior cats untold tales. I started watching, because I really liked that game. She also had a Niche series called the Jannu tribe. I slowly started to understand it, until I was sure I wanted Niche. I got it during the jungle update and it's one of my favorite games. It has really helped me understand genetics! (but not genets XD)2 points

So, I may or may not be getting bored with focusing on just one clan all the time. Therefore, I'm going to broaden my story by making it between two clans, like I've seen some others do! I am going to be changing some things for this edition. 'm going to put less focus on things such as medicine cats and "warrior"-esque names. Focus will be on personality, social dynamics, and war. You heard me right- WAR! We're building up two clans from the bottom, a rivalry formed between just two nichelings. I chose the theme red versus blue thanks to the pokemon games. Here's the ground rules that aren't mentioned in my regular Warriors games: - If someone is "killed" in battle and does not have extra lives (i.e., aren't leader), they will be killed using the console, since I can't have my own nichelings fight each other. - All wanderers are to be befriended. A random generator will determine their allegiance and what clan they join. - I will be using this custom generator made for this game. Most traits will be based off of DND skills/stats. Highest possible stat for a cat is 5, lowest 0. I feel like I should develop the cat's personality based on their life experience, not just what the generator says, so I'm leaving traits as vague on this one. Stats determine base personality, Skills determine talents and hobbies. Names will be generated from my old gen or just made up. * Stats are intelligence, wisdom, charisma, perception, and willpower ; Skills are Hunting, Fighting, Leading, Spirituality, and Following/Getting Along. - Gatherings happen on every other rain. Rain is not needed to have kits, however. Now, the two clans: RED CLAN is more up-front and aggressive. They value red, chestnut, and red-brown fur colors and orange, violet, and red eye colors, especially red seen in albino cats. These cats are often exalted as holy. They use orange/red gems. Cats of this clan cannot be given custom genes that may produce blue kits. Leader names start with Red. BLUE CLAN is more prideful and quiet. They value gray, white, and black fur colors- anything bluish- and blue eyes. Melanistic cats aren't seen so much as holy, but more as a good omen. They use blue gems. Cats of this clan cannot be given custom genes that may produce red kits. Leader names start with blue. The two clans have a rivalry. They may help each other at times, but there are points where they may have bloody battles and threaten each other. Their competition is a motivator, and even though there may be some hate between them, there is a cycle of respect they are ordered by Starclan to have. Who will you cheer for? You might be asking yourself: How did two clans come to be so competitive? Well, it starts off in story mode between two cats; Redsnake and Bluemoss. Redsnake is a stone-cold, aggressive, and perceptive cat. He is very talented physically, but is told by Bluemoss, who he was supposed to be betrothed to, that he was not very good at leading, so she'd lead. But she was bossy towards him. After inspiration from Starclan to make his own clan, he leaves her and decides to begin his own legacy, which angers her. Bluemoss is an intelligent she-cat with magnificent hunting skills. In her eyes, Redsnake left her out in the cold when he made a clan of his own, and she felt betrayed, thus sparking their rivalry and pent-up anger. The two are on their second lives, still avoiding each other when a new cat enters the island. His name is Slowroam. He wishes to join the Red tribe, but he sees Bluemoss and decides to join her, thinking the two of them may go well together. Best stats: (Willpower: 5) (Perception: 4) (Fighting: 4) (Spirituality: 4) ) Worst stats: (Intelligence: 1) (Charisma: 2) (Following: 1) (Hunting: 2) Slowrogue is stubborn and perceptive. He is strong enough to hold his own against Bluemoss' dominating demeanor, making them good together. They become mates and have a kit. Fittingly, they name her Kitfall. Best Traits: (Leading: 5) (Following: 5) Worst Traits: (Perception: 1) (Spirituality: 1) Kitfall is a cat fully dedicated to the Blue tribe, willing to do whatever role she needs to to help her clan prosper. However, she is very bad at subtle cues, so she must be told what she is required to do directly. Meanwhile, a new face is coming into the Red tribe. Parselypoison immigrates into the clan. She is named for her sickness that she has beared her whole life, giving her symptoms similar to a cat who has eaten a mild poison. BEST STATS: (Charisma: 4) (Perception: 5) (Spirituality: 5) WORST STATS: (Intelligence: 1) (Wisdom: 0) (Following: 1) Parselypoison is a kindhearted cat who can usually find a way to get along with everyone- unless you attempt to boss her around. It frustrates and confuses her. The first rain of the clan hits. After the rain, Parselypoison and Redsnake become mates and have a kit of their own. He is named Oddgloom. BEST STATS: (Hunting: 5) (Fighting: 5) (Spirituality: 5) WORST STATS: (Intelligence: 0)(Perception: 0) (Leading: 1) Oddgloom is rather quiet and cannot lead, but he seems to have a deep gift when it comes to hunting and fighting. He is able to feel auras and spirits, and his parents consider him a gift from Starclan. The second rains since the official forming of the clans has come, and therefore, it is time for a gathering. Things are still a bit tense between Redsnake and Bluemoss. However, this is alright, for most of the gathering focuses on updates of what has happened since they last spoke. Redsnake introduces the Blue Tribe to Parselypoison and Oddgloom, bragging on the progress that Oddgloom is making in areas of hunting and fighting despite only being an apprentice. Oddgloom, however, is too focused on the beautiful, young warrior-she cat seated behind Bluemoss. They said her name was Kitfall. How beautiful she is- and dedicated to her clan! Oddgloom wishes that he could somehow be her mate- maybe even join the Blue Tribe- but he knows that they would never accept him. For one, he is son of the Red Tribe leader- Two, any cat could take a look at him and know he is an apprentice. Maybe he'll see her patrolling borders one day and finally get the chance to speak to her...2 points

Hi, my name's caracaal and I'm new! I'm not exactly sure how this place works, but I've been looking around the Niche discussions for a couple days and this seems like a pretty cool place!! idk how I didn't find this place sooner; I've been playing Niche for around two years (I found Niche in November 2016) and I've loved it ever since!! So anyways, I don't quite know how this whole thing works but I suppose I'll figure it out soon enough, haha2 points

The light of dawn settled on the newly-founded territory. The clans are just beginning to wake up, DarkClan being the earliest risers. With the recent passing of Frondsight, the clan was ready to perform their greatest in honor of him not getting too far. Patchstar climbs her way up a tree, and calls to BrightClan's leader, Waspstar. The two communicate, and agree to organize patrols of cats to begin setting up a border between the two territories. In DarkClan, Patchstar chooses herself, Rainfur, and Heatherstone, Heatherstone being the closest to Frondsight when they died. In BrightClan, Waspstar chooses Meadowfin, Brightclouds, and Mallowbird, as Meadowfin and Brightclouds are the clan's fastest warriors, and Mallowbird could be useful healing material in case anybody got hurt. Meanwhile, the rest of the two clans go to work with exploring the areas closest to their camps while the border is set. Robinflight, the medicine cat, and Beeflight, the deputy, head towards the topright coast. Shortly into the journey, they find a small sort of hollow, with a berry bush, a friendly carnivorous plant, and a cactus all together. Robinflight is astonished at the variety found in one area. And besides, how did this carnivorous plant even get here? It may be the only speck of jungle vegetation on the island! Robinflight instantly extends the camp to reach to this place, deciding to make it the place where he and his apprentice meditate to contact StarClan on half moons. Little does he know, each plant has a connection to each part of the afterlife. But which plant represents what part? Meanwhile, Waspstar, Copperstride, and Dustnose explore the topleft coast. They don't seem to be finding anything as interesting, except for a few bushes. Perhaps this could be the clan's food gardens? There's quite a variety, such as coconuts, berries, poison berries... and poison berries. Also, a root. Also, it seems Amberpelt is sitting by the river, keeping watch over the fish, kelp, and rabbit burrow. Mothpelt, who is off-screen, walks over, showing interest in crossing. And in the meantime, Slipthorn sneaks out to join the border patrol, despite not being invited. Maybe she just wants something to do, since her clanmates are doing literally everything else. Meanwhile in DarkClan's camp, those bugs are really getting on the can's nerves. "I guess we attract all the friends! Bugs and snails, what great companions!" Hazeleyes jokes. "I could do without being constantly sleepy, but I guess," Talonfoot mumbles back, barely audible. The tom pads away from the sleepy puddle bugs, and curls up to doze. Meanwhile, the patrols have seemed to find a starting point for the border at the edge of a stream. The cats discuss among themselves, and agree to have Meadowfin and Slipthorn from BrightClan as well as Heatherstone from DarkClan begin making a border tracing to the blue port that has a surprisingly chilly atmosphere behind DarkClan's camp, while Brightclouds and Mallowbird from BrightClan as well as Patchstar and Rainfur from DarkClan extend the border to the port in the opposite direction, which has the same peaceful tone as the current territory. Meanwhile in the background, BrightClan's camp is being extended, Mothpelt has crossed the stream surrounding it, and DarkClan is finding that their camp is abundant in permanent nests. Heatherstone's eyes widen the next day as she spots a strange visitor. The creature is called a dodomingo. A fairly peaceful, fairly annoying creature. Heatherstone's urge to explore and find new things is growing. If something like this can exist, surely there's even stranger creatures out there? Meanwhile, back at DarkClan (and Brightclan too), uninteresting things are happening, such as Minnowear and Fleettail becoming friends as they explore the shore together, chasing a rabbit who dared to poke its nose out of the grass. (Note: Fleettail is not actually pregnant, the game just didnt remove the appearance of being pregnant after I manually removed the status via console. It was a misclick.) Next day, more uninteresting camp shenanigans happen. Mothpelt, who is still outside the camp, has found a stump and is deciding to call to see if there are any local loners that could be invited into BrightClan. Day after that, DarkClan is alerted to the border-setting patrol outside their camp. A few cats go to help them progress quicker, while the cats behind the camp begin to clear grass while making their way over to connect with the patrol. Meanwhile, the other patrol of Patchstar, Rainfur, Mallowbird and Brightclouds has finished setting the border on their side of the island. The patrol begins to seperate according to their clans, however, Rainfur and Brightclouds give each other a look that seems to imply that they wish to meet again. Nobody else seems to catch this, though, as their backs are turned. Back at BrightClan's camp, Beefang is confronted by a bearyena! Amberpelt rushes over to help her fight it off, and the two are just barely able to kill it with their claws before it can do any damage. Meanwhile, Copperstride and Dustnose seem to be taking interest in the waters. They can temporarily breathe underwater, but Waspstar warns them not to go too far in. At DarkClan, the border around the camp is finished. Finally, now that the border is set up, and cats know where they are and aren't allowed to step, personal clan lives can finally officially begin. At the west side of the island, Mallowbird, who had been conveniently sitting on a tree stump, decided to call out and see if anyone would appear. And in fact, someone does. The huge tom was so eager to hear he wasn't the only one on the island, that the speed and size of him combined simply dashing out of the grass spooked the entire patrol, as well as the player! The tom was shortsighted and had a crippled paw, but other than that, he looked like a perfect clan cat. Brightclouds decided to do the honours of inviting the tom, and he was officially accepted into... BrightClan! The tom recieved the name Lionspots for his huge body creating a fluffy "mane", and his spots, of course! The tom, named Lionspots, expresses kit-like excitement that he finally gets to be part of a clan. He is very friendly, and makes out as a very fitting stereotype for a BrightClan cat. While managing cats near DarkClan's camp, I the player don't realize what's happening beyond. A purr is heard, and would you look at that! A melanistic rogue male that resembles an uglier, crippled version of Rainfur mates with Patchstar herself. Rainfur is pissed off, and immediately chases down his ugly clone. Patchstar also runs after the rogue, and the two deal small damage but a long-lasting poison to the guy. Patchstar settles down in a nest, and waits for the cursed child to be born. Meanwhile, before continuing, Kepa recieves food from sonic, her absolute favourite fast food place, and edits the gem colours according to clans. Kepa is now bored of niche and will play later. Ciao fuckers!2 points

I'm pretty sure it's on Peaceful Meadow. I don't really know. The tribe had died out on one, and when I restarted, i took my female to the flower port, and that's where they settled. Once when I passed the day I noticed slashes appear on a wanderer on the corner of the screen, and there was some Bearyena meat in front of her. I guess the Bearyena attacked her but her Spiky Body fought back. I got free food!2 points
-
I tried again after that, and some beautiful daughters were born, but a Bearyena killed my female, leaving me with no creatures at all. So, I restarted a third time, and kind of made some new rules/edited the old one. First, I can breed with the males I breed. Second, I can keep males that are born into the tribe, (and have them collect food etc) but if I want to breed them, they must first be released. Third, I can invite in female wanderers and breed them, but once they're adults, i must release my current breeding female, and the new female must breed with one of the males I bred, so the line will continue properly. Currently, the tribe is at day 130, with 90 food and six creatures (breeding female, one old male, two teenage males from the previous female,a nd a teen female from the previous breeder.). So far, so good!2 points

The immunty genes don't really matter, though. Sometimes if you start from the same bloodline after dying, you'll get creatures with J immunity, even if you didn't have it before. It doesn't matter what the immunities are, because they all have the same functionality.2 points

So, ages later. The tribe already moved to the next island, but I forgot to take a picture before we moved in. Anyways, Lime had another kid (his previous mate was Flax, one of Milday's twins, but Flax just passed away), and has Platypus Beak, compliments of Jungla. Except she has black eyes on her melanistic body, so she's really creepy. Thus, her name is Beaky Nightmare. I think i might go with weird names like that for the next generation(s). Aren't I so creative? Whoo! New wanderer to breed! His only (actually) bad traits are recessive Shortsighted Eyes and slightly bad fertility. Also, still rockin those names. Then we met his brother! What? Carviorous plant? Pfff. (Don't worry, i got Very Spotty out before any damage was taken.) I'm getting really creative.2 points

I thought that IF it were a body type, the body would need some cold resistance...because it is the arctic after all! If it was just a fur color or a separate gene, it wouldn't have the cold resistance.1 point

Perhaps it could be a seperate gene that causes the fur to turn white when there is snow, but leaves the fur colour and pattern as it is when that isn't Also how would it add to cold resistance?1 point

While playing and browsing (the game and the forum, respectively), I came across a few things that seemed rather confidential but could stand to be more widespread, especially when we do not seem to have a handy manual to speak of, yet. If it does exist, do let me know of it! I do not hand out certificates of property: anyone believing that they were the first one to discover part or all of the hereunder list can congratulate themself in silence, and nobody will mind their contributing to enlightening their peers. Additions are welcome, of course. In no particular order: Everything from logic operations (OR, buffer...) to movement to TNT explosions is processed all at once, every 1/60th of a second. Meaning that, in the very first of these 1/60th your drone is live, no signal has been emitted yet, so all logic gates have their inputs OFF; second moment, logic gates have processed these inputs and act accordingly (NOT gate had input OFF, so it now has output ON), and sensors/buttons send their outputs; third moment, logic gates have processed these sensor signals (and the NOT gate input can be ON, so output OFF). Basically, if stuff goes awry before you could hit a key, check the NOT, NOR, NAND and XNOR gates! It also means that you can outpace an explosion and that stuff usually goes wrong at high speeds (outpacing the game is a thing, too). These sorts of struts you see that connect parts to each other are not extensible, at all. Connection points to components can still rotate. Proof below, with the L-shaped block's connection to the drone core not varying an inch, even with all these thrusters. Batteries and fuel tanks deplete in the order you placed them: first placed battery, then second, etc. This applies to other appliances as well: when resources are lacking, the first placed components will work first, and leave others with possibly nothing. Proof below, same settings on both devices, the craft freezes because the cooler was placed first. A frozen thruster can not work any more, but all other appliances still behave as normal (seemingly). Below, a frozen impulse giver sending signals to a LED and a frozen factory. Magnets can repel enemy and friendly projectiles, be it pellets, rockets, grenades... or even TNT. Yes, in the future TNT is made of iron. Distance is measured from centre of the component, and a surface unit (small squares in the background of the editor; alternatively, a small basic block) measures 2 distance units in length and width. Speaking of distances, the larger fuel tanks feature a larger explosion when destroyed. In order of size (S, M, L, XL), said ranges are 3, 5, 10, 10 (from centre, remember). Meaning that all components which edges/outlines are within range will be hit. To access your saves, on a windows operating system, open the start menu and, in the box, type or paste the following, then press enter: %AppData%/../LocalLow/Nimbatus/Nimbatus/Saves It is recommended to make a backup (copy these save files to somewhere safe) in order to avoid surprises. Nimbatus has been known to delete some drones, though it stays unclear what features it discriminates them by, and whether it really is Our Great Drone Overlord's doing.1 point

I have a hoarding problem in every game where you can gather stuff ^^ In my longest going tribe (it has over 1000 days and around 70 hours played) I have over 4000 peaces of food. I was impressed myself when I noticed and I didn't even try, it just happened while my tribe was casually hanging out on Deadly Hills eating toxic berries and killer bearyena's ^^1 point

I'm not really sure about this gene. Yes, white spotting might look cool, but what evolutionary purpose would it serve? Most of these patterns would just make your nicheling look conspicuous and more likely to be targeted by predators. Niche is about adapting your nichelings to survive, not making them look pretty1 point

I have chickens, so I have some ideas to alter the stats. If we are talking about a bird that's not overly large-- - Chickens can't swim well, if at all. So 1 or 0 swimming for both. - I would give females 0 attack and the males 1 to 2 attack. Hens can peck, but rooster spurs are what cause the most damage. - I would give cocks 'crow' which attracts females and also acts as a strong voice stat - Cocks (males) won't generally attack unless you come too close to a hen or chick or it is attacked itself - Hens can 'shriek' or 'cry' to attract males when they are attacked or if their babies are attacked. - I would give them both 1 digging and 1 or 2 collecting - I would lower their eyesight, hearing and smelling stats by 1, and make both sexes have the same stats. - I would make many of the male and female stats in general more equal. - I would say they females drop 10 and males drop 15 food while chicks drop 2 - Hens sit on nests like dodomingos for 1 turn and chicks hatch These are just my 2 cents for my ideas1 point

I found Niche through JessiMew. It was just randomly suggested to me on YouTube and I watched the vid. I wasn't even subscribed to Jessi back then. Well I was immediatly in love with the game (and with Jessi). It was a no brainer. I binge watched everything from Jessi I could find on it and then convinced my brother to buy it for me and then I played like probably almost a 100 hours in the first week or so (it felt like a lot of time though Steam didn't record any of it due to poor internet) and ever since then it has become my favourite game together with Skyrim and has currently almost 490 hours in my Steam library ^^ At that point I already understood genetics very well and that is a big point why I loved them game so much. I love all the different gene possibilties1 point
