Actually, instead of playing Niche, I've just been stalking the forum to see if the devs released a sneak-peek of the new update. đ4 points

I'm shortsighted and I require glasses to read simple things like reading text on a computer screen. Seriously, if I take off my glasses right now I can't read this text. Interestingly enough my parents don't need glasses.4 points

Hi! As I really love both Niche and drawing, I want to have a post where I'll be posting my occasional drawings. I don't have plenty of time in my life so I won't update very often, but this will help me to have all of them gathered in a single post, and also you'll be able to see them and comment if you like them or if I could improve something! Also if I have the time, I could draw someone's nichelings^^ For now I'll post my drawing of one of my all time favorite Nichelings, my beloved Skull, Goddess of Mischief. She was from my first tribe ever and was born in the warm savannah. She was really mischievous and liked to pull pranks on everyone. I really wish I had taken a pic of her genetics to try and breed her again...3 points

I've started a tribe in story mode some time ago, and now, after about 300 days, I have no clue about their "history". Since this kinda frustrates me, I decided to start a new story mode tribe on another save file, and post it here. This is mainly meant for me, but also for everyone who enjoys reading playthroughs. I will upload irregularly, and I can't say how long it'll take me to reach home island, or if I even manage to reach this goal. Naming ideas for any Nicheling are welcome, so are survival tips. I will also kind of create my own lore, and switch back and forth between the story and my comments. As Adam looks around on the island he dropped onto, fear rises in his chest. He's alone, all alone. There aren't any orange pelts around him, and the sounds of the pack are gone. The familiar chirping, the high, excited cries of the playing kids, the deep call of is mother - the only thing he hears are the reeds, slowly floating in the wind. His siblings, his mother and their warm, calming scent are far away. He feels uneasy, his heart beats loud and irregularly. Being alone isn't something that lies in his nature. It is against her. Adam stumbles over to the next tile, searching comfort in the familiar smell of the berries, as he falls asleep next to them. He awakes the next morning, disorientated and confused. In his dream, he was back on his island, playing under the watching eyes of the adults. His memory starts fading as he notices his hunger. He decides to pick some berries, but the task proves to be hard and tiring. Soon, he decides to sleep again. The next day, he notices a flowery port at the northern end of the island, and curiously makes his way up there. On his way he grows older, and as he sits in front of the long path of stone tiles that lead into the sea, towards a new island, a new home, he's become an adult. He puts his paw onto the first stone, and leaves his island behind him. His old island has long disappeared behind him, and as he starts to feel tired, a breeze brings a bunch of new, unfamiliar smells. His pace fastens and soon he spots an island in front of him. Then, in just a mere second, the sea begins to shake, and so the tiles he stands on. Panicked, Adam runs towards the island, while the stones behind him crumble, and start to sink into the ocean. The ground starts to slip away under his paws, and he jumps- The ground is hard, and the feeling of disorientation and fear remind him of the bird and his dreadful fall. As the pain starts to fade, Adam scrambles onto his shivering legs. He flattens his fur and decides to take a look around. It's an utter shock as his nose discovers the smell of one of his kind. He sniffs once again, this time carefully examining the smell. It's a female, about his age and she's close. Excitement and joy overwhelm him and drive his caution away. The need, the craving for a pack, for a companion is stronger than ever. The female sits still in the grass, waiting for him. Adam approaches her carefully - he has been alone for almost as long as he can remember, and he's not sure how to interact with her. It seems as if she's as alone as he is, since Adam can't find a trace of another animal. He's still kind of wary. The female's head looks strange to him, broad and heavy, not to mention her fur - a strange, shining colour, only occasionally broken by a light brown. Shy, he chirps his name as a greeting towards her. She answers immediately with her name, a deeper, softer sound - she is called Eve. Encouraged by this, Adam offers her some berries that he picked on his old island. The female curiously sniffs at them, then she begins to carefully eat one after another, obviously enjoying the new, unfamiliar taste. As the day starts to come to his end, the two of them lie down next to each other. They touch each others nose and groom the others fur, exchanging their smell in the process, getting to know each other better. I have been writing this for some time now, and I just want to post this, so here I go. Also, I try to take a more realistic approach, as you might have noticed. English isn't my native language, so my writing isn't too good.3 points

Maybe I should try a challenge too, though I have Skyrim to play and it is not like I have a lot of free time with exams coming up ^^ Honestly I don't think a challenge would help. None sound interesting enough and my mind is already busy thinking about all the cool challenges we can make with the new update.3 points

All that time better spent studying has to go somewhere. Or maybe I just enjoy the thrill of crash learning. đ But I've been playing more Equillinox than Niche. My first attempt wasn't great in terms of altitude and attempting the lush biome without the reward from completing all missions was really not worth it. And then Steam magically subtracted multiple hours from all games. Finished 2 playthroughs in "4 minutes". Clearly, I'm a genius.3 points

Funny. A few weeks ago I could barely touch Niche. But since I started up a new tribe (I called it âPikaPit? NOOO!!!â in reference to Smash), Iâve been addicted. But yeah, I normally couldnât play Niche at all until a week ago.3 points

oh hey look I got mORE Red Moon - Goddess of Death Okay, just look at her. Can you tell me she doesn't suit the word "death"? Altocumulus - Goddess of Clouds In my tribe, there is a long line of creatures named after clouds and Altocumulus is one of them. When she was born, it snowed. Whenever she calls into the wild, the next day it snows. The tribe kinda made a deity based off of that and made Altocumulus the goddess of clouds. While she wasn't the first cloud-creature (a guy named Nimbostratus was the first), Altocumulus was the most important.3 points

So, I keep starting tribes in Long Winter, but they all die. In my sixth tribe, the daughter of the starters was left an orphan, and wandered along the shoreline for shells for a while, since her claw and velvet paw don't help her survive, since there aren't any bunnils. Along the way, she found a rogue, whom she mated with. She also picked up a leech. Soon, the snow melted away,a nd rabbils came out. Instead of getting food, she collected nesting material. Finally, she collected enough to make a nest, but it was her last day. Anyways, she gave birth to a little son. Then, a Balance Bear showed up. Luckily for the baby, a wanderer shoved himself in front of the baby. The bear didn't hit the wanderer, and instead got closer to the child. Unfortunately, the kid had to go get food instead of invite the wanderer in. A few days later, he froze with that same bear hovering over him. R.I.P. Anyways, tell about what other interesting things wanderers do in your tribes!2 points

I have noticed in the past, that about a month (sometimes more, sometimes less) before an update I stop playing Niche because I am so excited about the soon to be added new stuff and all of the sudden the base game bores me ^^. I think I have entered my usual hiatus right about now. The urge to play Niche has disappeared oh the horror Do you guys experience the same thing? Or do you just play through right until the update comes?2 points

At least you didn't misspell propably (and 23 other things) .Unless you're an Insomniac with major lapses of judgement, I am not too impressed. But the antlers are regretable. Astrology isn't really meaningful, but as an Aries, ram horns would have been more fitting.2 points

My Niche addiction is near its peak right now, mostly because I'm testing out new islands and giving myself a little challenge. Take my Skittles Tribe or my new First Snow Tribe, for example. But I think I am under-reacting to the new update because now that I think about it, it's AWESOME!2 points

District 2 is still open, eh? Why not snatch it? Female Tribute - Corrin (Yes I named her Corrin) Personality: Corrin is a brave girl that likes to protect her tribe and defend the gods. One day she fell in love with one of the god's son, Golden Eye (yes I named him Golden Eye), and had many children with him. Corrin also loves to play in water. Male Tribute - Buttercup Personality: Buttercup is a level-headed sweetheart that loves sitting under trees and smelling the roses. Just don't pick a fight with him.2 points

If this were added, I would make a nicheling with one bird wing, one bat wing, and butterfly body! XD2 points

The thing is, you can actually invite her in. You just need to wait for her to die and if another one spawns there's a chance they can be invited in. That's how I once got round ears before even reaching home island lol2 points

I don't consider perfect nichelings, I love wanders with spit snout and double no paws. I love pink nichelings.. especially with short snout. Spots with pattern shape A are gorgeous, if it's a romantic love story between a rogue male and the prettiest female in the tribe, so be it!2 points

Crippled paw or blindness maybe, but I think shortsightedness isn't much of a disability. Heck I'm a bit shortsighted and though I do badly need some glasses, it's obviously not debilitating XD. But if you're going to cure them that much you might as well make them perfect XD I don't really know though, since I haven't encountered this issue.2 points

So now I have an important decision to make: Who will I take to Home Island?? I think I have an idea of who I will take, but your input might help me a lot! So without further ado, here are the options: Oasis. She was born with derp snout but due to her insecurities was given Big Nose by Bostonlobstah. She is the daughter of Poozie and twin sister to Velveteen II. Her red fur and scorpion tail give her a unique appearance among the tribe. Velveteen II. Heâs a special boyâthought to be a reincarnation of Velveteen, as son of Bostonlobstah who was tragically killed by a mysterious Darkness. He looks a lot like his much older sister Skippi with his mask and striped fin tail. Skippi. She was born too early by accidentâPoozie went to sleep in a permanent nest. But Iâm glad she was born when she was or Oasis and Velveteen II would never exist! Sheâs very eye-catching and lovely looking, one of the first with the raccoon mask. Poozie. Sheâs been with us for a long timeâin this life and her previous one. She has become almost a second-in-command to Bostonlobstah and Adam 2.0. If she doesnât get to Home Island, Bostonlobstah will give her powers to lead the remaining tribe to wherever they choose to go for an adventure. Tillie. Tillie was born in a rushâeveryone was anxious to run to the end of Whale Island and Tillie was all but left behind. Luckily Bostonlobstah was patient and gentle towards her, and their bond has grown close. Tillie has Heat Body, a somewhat unique trait among the tribe. Sweetie. Ah, Sweetie. A personal favorite whoâs also been with us for quite a while. I think she will come regardless of whether you hate her or not. Her red ram horns give her away as one of Meringueâs descendants. She is the daughter of Snowchild, who was also one of my faves. Emma Jean. The daughter of Sweetie, who also has those signature Ram Horns and sweetieâs pink stripes. But Emma was born with Water Body, which means itâs her âdefaultâ appearance. Rudolf (right). Heâs a lucky boy. A bearyena appeared right next to him when he was a little kid. It just so happened to be the day of departure to Crossing, and Rudolf was able to get on the ports and escape with the tribe. He has heat body just like his older sister Tillie. Posy. Posy is the spotted one. His name is a bit funny, and he was born on the same day as Rudolf. Except his father is a very attractive rogue male. Thatâs all there is to say about him... Rogue and Male. These uncreatively named twins are also sons of that one rogue male that Bostonlobstah made beautiful. They are a quirky pair for sure! Snowflake. She is a looker for sure. She reminds me of Snowchild even though she has no close relation that Iâm aware of. Thatâs everyone! But only three of them will be able to come to Home Island with Bostonlobstah and Adam 2.0. Everyone else will have to get there on their own . Iâm going to make a poll for you to vote on who you think should go! I think I will continue this Playthrough on a new thread, to document the lives of Bostonlobstahâs tribe after they reach Home Island. So keep on a lookout for that!1 point

Bostonlobstah is growing a little impatient, so she speed-runs North along the river, towards the Overgrown Jungle. There they meet an albino wanderer. They invite him in and he picks berries and stuff The gang has found and destroyed 3 of the five blocking vine roots quite easily. But they can see the fourth root in a very dangerous spot. Lots of dangerous plants and a giant APE in the way! Bostonlobstah gets an idea. She gives her tribe as much strength as humanly possible. During this, catastrophe strikes, and poor Sweetie gets caught in a carnivorous plant. Sweetie always seems to attract trouble, doesn't she? Freeing Sweetie is prioritized. But the tribe is eventually able to bring down the great Ape. While they distract the ape, Meemee and Snowflake are able to destroy the fourth root. No sooner has the last ape been killed, Naruto shows up. Bostonlobstah sighs a great heaving sigh. But then--"Wait! I have a better idea!" With maximum defense, there is no need to bother the Ape. Now they just need to find the last root. "Everyone spread out!" Bostonlobstah orders. But no one had gone far when Meemee found the last root right in front of the ports! Only seven nichelings get to come with us now. We take Snowflake, Sweetie, Lillybeth, Buddi and Peeka with us. What!? Sleepy Reeds!? I thought we were going to a Killer Island! Oh well. We speed-run yet again, not even bothering to invite this child in. Bostonlobstah is growing a bit desperate.1 point

When I was younger I lived in a semi secluded house in the woods that commonly had injured birds so we would take them in and nurse them back to health until they could be released. The only time we weren't able to save one was when it was suffering from internal bleeding. It was a pretty sad case.1 point

Well, me and my uncle once saved a newborn baby bird that was hatching. We named her Hope. Here is her story: So, one day I went to my uncle's house and we went outback and he showed me, in the bush, a robin's nest, that had 3 eggs. Then one day we went to go check on them and I realized that the bush was cut. Then my uncle said that he forgot to tell the bush cutters to not cut it. Then we checked and there was only one egg in the nest. We looked for the other ones and couldn't find them. Then we realized the only egg was hatching. So we brought her inside and tried to help her. Then, we tried to help her hatch. Once we got her out, we put her under a heat lamp. Then, a while after we decided to bring her back to her nest, just in case the parents came back. Then the next time I came over, I found out that she had died. I was crying for so long. (It was 2 or 3 years ago.)1 point

Oh, I like this idea. This would be so much fun. As a tweak, perhaps they would be like the Rouge Males, but as baby kidnappers they would be Rogue Females. Then their behavior pattern would be: 1. Hanging around nests like dodomingos. Rogue females are unable to be recruited into the tribe. 2. Kidnap an unattended baby. 3. Once a baby is acquired, the Rogue female behaves like a mother bearyena with the child following behind her. 4. You can take the baby back by killing the female and offering the baby food.1 point

I saved a baby bird once! Me and my familly went to live on a farm for a month when I was really young. We were observing the chickens when I found a strange black chick. At the time the only word I knew in english was Baby for some reason, so I yelled ''Baby! Baby!''. The owners of the farm then realized it wasn't a chick but a baby robin! We kept the baby robin safe, hoping his mom would come back. And she did! The end. And that's how I saved the baby birb.1 point
