So I recently started playing this game when it went on sale and fell in love with it. I haven't gotten super far yet though so my nichelings don't look super fancy, but I do like the looks that these two have. The one on the right is the mother, Mereis and her daughter on the left is Iska. Iska's kind of proving a young prodigy, as she's the statistically strongest one in the tribe. For the drawing I imagine her showing huge potential for survival, but also learning that some things take time to master. Hope you enjoy! (Not taking requests)11 points

I tried coming up with something insightful for myself but... well, I'm hardly the coolest person around, so... He only wants hugs, but he's not good at giving them because he has pathetic little arms!7 points

Here's a new world, that will be focused on Eve. This means, once I find Eve, I invite her in, then banish Adam, so that she's my starter. This save will have no use of console, and will be primarily story based. Enjoy! The first island has at least four berry bushes! Wowee Here's Eve! She's quite pretty. It didn't take long for her to leave the island and find food. Oh? Who's this? - After a lot of days of no luck, she finally finds someone! Meet Vandukkir. She definitely wouldn't of taken him in if it wasn't for that Peacock Tail! She has two children with him, Nuvanvan and Laisla! I would've never expected Poison Fangs and Big Body... A wanderer! This guy is gonna be the perfect mate for Laisla! It's already time to say goodbye to Eve and Vandukkir. In brighter news, we managed to find that wanderer again! Laisla is already attached to Rota. Despite his sister, Nuvanvan doesn't think he'll ever have a mate, and instead he'll peacefully pluck berries from his berry bush. Laisla is now full grown and has taken Rota as her mate. A new face! Since she shares immunities with both males and isn't very useful in the first place, we won't invite her in. Here's Eve's first grandchild! She's also the first nicheling without a generated name. Meet Fawn! And that's it for now. I'll post updates on this save as much as I can. Oh, and also, here's the save, if you're curious! Slot4.nichesave4 points

As of January 30th 2019 I have heard that almost every school had been delayed or canceled.... but mine. We had an all schools mass that day but it was postponed and was the reason most people came... I came for the GeoBee (I didn't win but my friend did! I said if she did I would buy her niche or sims 3 (for warrior cat challenges!)) anyways did you go to school or get delayed?2 points

A little while ago I made this post (which you can still submit to if you wish). After realizing my Group Challenge was turning into what I had planned to do for this, I decided to just start this. So, here we go! We will be trying to create @Renio2490's Raja first. I will be naming Nichelings like humans as well. We begin with Suzan Vinzenz Huber, a sarcastic young Nicheling that escaped from a brutal dictatorship with her best friend and future mate Kobe Paulinus Vukovic, who was once a manipulative high-ranking official of the dictatorship until he realized the wrong in it and resigned before escaping. "So, can we start a family right here? Or at least ASAP?" Kobe asked eagerly. "No, of course not. We need a lasting food source first," Suzan sighed. "Fine," Kobe agreed with a low growl, looking out into the unexplored grasses. He set out, quickly finding a berry bush. "Alright, we can have one now," Suzan agreed, though she was still confused why Kobe was so intent on having one already. The next day, Suzan woke up to a weeping Kobe. "What's wrong? Where is our child?" Suzan asked, tilting her head. "There - there was a storm, and I couldn't see much...our child was swept away...." Kobe stammered in-between cries. Suzan joined him. At the end of the day, Kobe told Suzan he would keep watch and make sure nothing else bad happened. Suzan nodded weakly, and curled up. After around 10 minutes of Suzan being asleep, Kobe quietly slithered away to a shaded tree area, where a wriggling red baby Nicheling began squealing. A rough paw was placed over her mouth. "Shh my Nima, shh," He barked, though the young Nicheling continued squirming. Kobe sighed. The next day Kobe had returned to their nest. "Everything was alright last night so..." "You want to try and have another?" Suzan questioned. This time, she wanted to as well. Kobe nodded, and Suzan was soon back on the nest. Kobe returned to a small Nima, whose eyes were now open and mouth babbling. "Shut up," Kobe snapped, making Nima even louder. "Fine. You'll do this the hard way," The next morning, Kobe was crying again. "Don't tell me..." Suzan trailed off as Kobe nodded slightly and pointed to the blood below her. "The child had claws... and accidentally killed himself... I buried him because it was too much to look at," Kobe explained. Suzan cried, but she was now suspicious. How could they be this unlucky without her even knowing? That night, Suzan pretended to sleep but watched as Kobe disappeared into the grass. "Collect food," Kobe ordered. "Why?" Nima questioned. "Do it." "Nope - AAH okay fine," Nima scrambled off after Kobe clawed her cheek. He turned to check on August, who was crawling away almost into the grass. "Bad," Kobe snapped, also clawing his cheek. When Kobe returned, Suzan was wide awake with many questions. Before she could say anything, Kobe had tackled Suzan with a claw to her throat. "Follow my orders and you will survive," Kobe said. Suzan slowly nodded with wide eyes. Now that Kobe's secret is out, will any of his "slaves" rebel against him, or will they simply comply? Find out in the next edition of this!2 points

I remember when I first got the game, the first creatures I ever named were called Swimming and Best. (Swimming was my first webbed legged creature and Best was really cool.) As you can see I was very creative at naming. i don't even know what i was thinking when i named them2 points

This is similar to the spawn rate suggestions. You can decide how high or low the chance of all the weather events will be on an island (including fire/temperature). Because I would like to have the landscape of long winter but without the snow or less snow. So you could set the snow chance to zero if you wanted that Or you could have a cold jungle. Maybe we could even have season with that kinda setting, deciding how much time has to pass between certain weather events2 points

its the next day! and so many things have happened. most notably, a gorgeous baby named greatheart has been born to sprucespike and bloodstripe, and that will be their last child. also, cloudmeadow is an adult! her painted markings are as gorgeous as ever. nightheart is pleased, as she knows her daughters have found out what they love to do in life; cloudmeadow paints markings and gathers berries, and raincloud loves building nests to the best of her ability. (oml I caught raincloud mid-blink and she looks like such a mood) flamethorn made it to the tree, and she chats happily with raincloud and the gorgeous cloudmeadow. she starts to worry if this white nicheling may be considered more beautiful than her soon, and her questions are answered when she spots maplestar watching cloudmeadow with a spark of love in his eyes..! nightheart decides that she should take raincloud to the nest she was born in to show her how her mother decorated nests so long ago. the child is exicted beyond belief, and can't wait to learn the nest-decorating methods of the grandmother she nether met but loves so dearly- she even hunts a mole on the way, the same mole widowstar struggled to catch when nightheart was just a baby, still in the nest. bloodmoon chats with his niece, who has just been left behind by raincloud, and maplestar approaches cloudmeadow, talking nervously to her, wondering when he should confess his love to her. see you on the next day!2 points

So I don't have any pictures yet but the rules are You have a single leading female (usually the most beautiful useful or are a good leader) these can be different You can have other females but I have changed it to you can only breed one other female while the leader is alive but then that other female will have to be killed. if there are no females the males will barely collect food and you can only use one gem for food the other two must be for calling a female in less there are no stumps then males will search for a female. You must make All other females omega and all males beta since the other females are like servants. Oh and I just wanted to put this picture here Oh nice1 point

Warning dots was the spot pattern that used to appear on toxic bodied creatures in the old pattern system, and you could have other creatures show the pattern as a form of mimicry. I always thought that was a neat little detail, I miss it.1 point

Why do I honestly feel sorry for Suzan? Why does Kobe passive-aggressively remind me of an official from the novel 1984?1 point

Haven't even thought about the possibility of black and white gems!!! Oh that will be cool1 point

I like the idea with the modifications of the comments. I personally think that maybe -1 speed (unless you only have 1 speed) could make it a little less overpowered while still being able to grow berries.1 point

Heya! At my grandparents house with no internet on my computer which is where I do my art and I have no connection cord thingy though I have been working on the absolutely beautiful backgrounds! (Why do I make them more beautiful than the comic?!) also so the drama will come soon!1 point

After some serious time spent racing, I wanted to comment on what I've noticed about the parts there: VTOL thrusters are incredibly strong. They don't pack as much thrust as other thrusters, but their built in guidance combined with the weight freed up by eliminating dedicated maneuvering thrusters is extremely attractive. Combinations of nothing but VTOL thrusters, standard thrusters and fuel are near top tier and significantly easier to design than the drones they are beating. Factories are still king. If a drone can beat an opponent out of the gate, they can drop a 50+ part wall of magnets on them and coast to victory. This tactic hard counters VTOL everything and, so far as I've seen, can only be countered by a faster drone that can in turn deploy their own wall of doom. Proximity sensor. Too short for high speed terrain avoidance, sadly. Distance sensors. Somewhat uncommon since the dawning of the age of VTOL, but still pretty good. They tend to twitch around no matter how secure they are, giving drones the appearances of agitated arthropods. I'm not a bug hater, but really like the idea of giving sensors an invisible setting. Afterburners. I swear I'm the only one using these things in races, probably because I tend to blow up a lot. It's tough toeing the line between moving quickly enough to activate them enough to be worth it and slow enough to still allow cornering. I find myself withing for a hand brake. I've built some winners with afterburners onboard, but it seems like even when I'm not smearing the walls with drone parts, I run out of fuel too quickly. That's all so far!1 point

heres the rest of the day as bloodstripe and sprucespike carry on with the day, they are surprised to see bloodmoon jump out of the grass as they cleared it out. "hey there! nice to see you! aww, and the baby is so cute! what did you call her, the beautiful little one?" "hi! nice to see you again! where have you been? we called her flamethorn, by the way." bloodstripe replied cheerfully, happy to see her brother, but confused about where he has gone for the past few days. "oh, you know. I went out hunting, and when I went to come back I saw all the drama happening at the tree and decided to give them some space. I got a bit impatient, so I just came here to see how you were getting along." "ok, that clears stuff up. im pretty sure they're all better around there, though! we might go up there soon to let flamethorn meet her cousins, how about you come?" eventually, the entire family ended up talking with bloodmoon long into the night. flamethorn seemed curious of the visitor, and she was eventually talking with them too. she was very confident the whole time, and they all found her quite entertaining to watch.1 point

as the three explorers venture further into the grasses, bloodstripe gathers her first root with the help of nightheart (which bloodstripe is angry about because she thinks she needs nobody's help) and hazelmist spots a rabbil in the grass. she leaps forward, catching it with ease. that is their meal for the day, and nightheart goes to gather roots, hoping to impress this amazing nicheling, who seems to be able to do anything. they spend the rest of the day together- and the two best friends start to realise there may be something else blossoming between them. bloodstripe watches from behind, occasionally taunting her sister about her crush. meanwhile, thornwhisper, widowstar and their new son prepares for the next addition to the family. thornwhisper decides she should build a nest to try and attract the gods, but she is a bit distracted by a crabbit which is wandering around in circles around them. bloodmoon finds this whole ordeal extremely funny, but widowstar is not impressed by this annoying crabbit. the next day, thornwhisper gives birth to a new baby, whom they call maplefang. widowstar looks pleased with his second son, and decides he should be heir, as he can sense the home island immunity inside of him. bloodmoon, however, is very curious about this baby, as he is extremely similar to him; as if he was looking into a mirror. as he sniffs around his brother, the leader and his mate laugh, as they know their final two children will get along very well. on the other side of the island, hazelmist smells a wanderer in the grasses. she chases after him, forcing nightheart and her sister to follow. he emerges infront of widowstar and his children, which alarms him, and he gives the wanderer food, hoping he wont do any harm to his new children. he takes the food and walks off to kill a mole, but doesn't bother introducing himself. bloodstripe is very curious of this seemingly nameless creature, and watches him eagerly, so does bloodmoon. hazelmist and nightheart decide they should tell their parents about their new love. widowstar is happy for them, but thornwhisper looks sadly into her daughter's eyes, knowing that she will pass soon and never see their possible children. the new pair spend the day playing with the babies, who nightheart is overjoyed to finally meet.1 point

So I wanted to recreate which creatures would work best for their specific biome, and my inspiration came from wondering what the prehistoric creatures would look like without mixing in the 'modern' genes. I like to give the creatures realistic backstories to their genes, and give them more animalistic personalities, rather than human ones. And here they are, The female is the ideal hunter, though slow due to her mammoth feet, she has a strength of five and a very high heat resistance. If she were in a large pack, they would surround walrusdeer to take them down easily, and with her strength and defense stats, she can hunt the balance bears as well. Between her mighty horns, great fangs, and hammertail, she is the top hunter in the winter biome. Her high heat resistance allows her and her pack to hunt all through the winter, and easily navigate the snow. The male is a herbivore, with a digging trunk and paws to match, simply searches the island for roots to feed off of. Usually making home near a permanent nest, they travel in very small packs, preferring to build up a food supply in the short time before snow falls, and then huddle together to collect nearby roots during winter. They are easy targets for the predators of the biome, and will usually leave one creature behind, usually the eldest, as a distraction when attacked by a balance bear, so the rest of the pack may escape. Saberfanged creatures tend to make their homes near these digging trunk creatures, and lie in wait for a balance bear to attack. The digging trunk creature has a short time to escape during this fight, for if it doesn't, it might become the fanged creatures next meal. Moving on to their opposites, the Savannah. These two creatures are much closer in relation than the two from the Winter biome, but still wouldn't breed together due to their difference in body types. The female is the gatherer. Her species survives off the bushes of the Savannah. Though her movements are a little slowed due to that armored body, it does allow her to collect from the cacti without receiving any damage. Due to her armored body protecting her from harm, she has no defensive genes and is a herbivore. They tend to nest around large collections of cacti and berries, gathering grasses for nesting materials. The male on the other hand, lacks her strong body, and instead has a leaner one more conditioned to survive the heat and allow fast movements. He is equipped with two digging paws to allow him to collect four roots from a single spot. These creatures prefer to settle at permanent rests around known root spots, and send out scouts to find more roots, as well as check the land for the starts of fire, since the land is prone to it. The two species live in harmony the way a chipmunk and a squirrel would, but if food becomes scarce they will attack each other for resources. Next is a very funky pair from the swamp biome, won't make any sense at first but hear me out. Let's start with the male, clearly his genes look very odd for this biome. But the two have a symbiotic relationship (They need each other to survive). The male is equipped with the most damage resistance a creature can get, which is 5. In the swamps, the thorns give a damage of 4 and take up half of the island. Clearly this creature can gather no food, so he is dependent on the female creatures species for resources, in return his species clears the island of its deadly thorns. He has a stinky tail to protect him from flies, and a spitsnout simply because I thought it fit the creature best. Once the island is cleared of thorns, these creatures will simply live beside the Poison creatures, being shields against bearyenas, and sitting next to children in nests to keep away blue birds. The female is a toxic bodied creature, surviving off the plentiful toxic berry bushes on the island. Her people's main issue is getting around the thorns. They entrust the spitsnout creatures entirely, knowing one cannot exist without the other. Her two berry paws allow her to be stationed next to three berry bushes at a time, collecting the maximum amount she can hold in a day. Her stinky tail swats away the nasty bugs that would lull her to sleep. The two species never fight each other, and though they cannot breed, they treat each other as equal species. Next we have another symbiotic relationship, though they are not dependent on each other for food. It's the jungle! The female is by far the top of the food chain on this island. Nothing can harm her except for the Meat Eating Plants. Her species has evolved specifically for this biome and its threats. Coming from a distant line of bearyenas, she has their claws, and evolving from the species of Saberfanged creatures in the Winter biome, she has the mighty horns, fangs, and hammer tail. All in all, she is a killing machine. Her species hunts the Great Apes of the jungle. Surrounding the creatures when they come down from the trees and killing them easily with a pack. The creatures give enough food to feed her pack for days. But there are a few issues with her species, they cannot smell, and the apes hide from their Saberfanged appearance. This is why the males species is needed. He has a lean body, no horns, no powerful fangs or tails. By all definitions this creature is a herbivore. Using its digging paw to pull up the roots of the jungle, and its berry paw to gather the smelly berries off the trees, this creature lives with plenty of food to eat. Their existence is only threatened by the apes, who spot them in the grasses or catch scent of the berries they've eaten. They have a mutual agreement with the Saber creatures, they will use their ability to smell to find the dangerous Meat Eating Plants, and lure out the apes, if in return the Saber creatures will kill the apes and keep them safe. The two species nest in a large pack together by a decent food source of roots and trees, waiting for apes to find their way to their dens. Finally we have the water biome creatures, Sorry for the tiny picture, hard to get a good one from the water These two are entirely separate species, one living in the depths of the water while one lives closer to the surface. The female stays in the shallow end, near trees that drop their coconuts or acorns into the water. They swim along searching for clams to open up as well. Due to their fast speeds, they spread out far along the water, besides a nesting pair or two, and once they've collected all the nuts, seaweed, and clams for the day they spread out once again and wait for more to reappear in the morning. The nesting pairs are the ones selected to breed, they do not travel the waters for food but instead stay in one spot, preferably within reach of a few seaweed plants to rebuild their nests. They very rarely come in contact with the platypus beaked species, unless they are chasing a fish and stray too close to the surface. The male's species lurks in the depths, where there are more fish and worms below the sand. They are excellent fishers with their claw and fishing tails. Their beak allows them to dig up many worms, and they choose to nest in the holes they've dug up, as they cannot collect the seaweed. Unlike the pink creatures, they have no set nesting partners, and will settle down in any area with plentiful foods. They choose to avoid the light of the shallow end, as their eyes are not adapted to it, unless a swarm of fish manage to escape their grasp and make it towards the shallows. When they come in contact with the other species, they do not fight each other because neither poses any threat to the others food source Hope you guys liked this, let me know if there are any other biomes you'd like me to do that I forgot about, or feel free to do your own and show them below, I'd love to see what other people come up with.1 point
