-I accept all wanderers in and keep rogue children. -i also let creatures die next to their mates, their mate’s corpse, or if they don’t have one, next to their family. -I also have a strange obsession with keeping poison fangs in my story mode playthrough6 points

So this is a story of how I found out what Niche was. So like 4 or 5 years ago I swear, I watched someone play the demo of Niche, 2 years later I'm on YouTube and see a video of someone else playing the Niche demo. I was like, "This looks like that video I watched ages ago." So after finding out what it was called, I searched up Niche. I watched Jessimew's videos for a LONG time. I even watched the whole entire series of old Niche videos she had. I found Seri, not really liking how she played the game. Though now I like her. I haven't watched Niche on YouTube for a long time... I don't really find good videos. It's either they are good but not continued, or too long and I don't really like it. And that's how I found out about Niche! I've been obsessed with Niche for 3 years... STINKY FRUIT TREES SUCK. WHERE'S THE WEED KILLER?5 points

OH BOY OH BOY HAVE I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THAT'S RIGHT, ladies and gentlefolk! It is time for... the NEW and IMPROVED update of the warriors challenge! I'm so excited! This allows for a more accurate playthrough of the warriors universe. Thrills! Gyrations! Exhortations! Aggravations! All of them await you in the new Warriors Challenge! We'll start with setup. As far as settings go, this is how it'll be for my challenge: AGE SETTINGS: (1 day in-game time = approx. 1 moon warrior time?) Baby : 1 day. Kittens in real life are usually up and walking by one month old, and it's more interesting to have a kit that's up and walking. Child : 4 days. Kits can still move around but can't become apprentices. Teen : 8 days. These are your apprentices! Don't worry, They'll still be useful around camp. Adult : 100 days. Just to keep character development going and leaders as leaders for a while. Pregnancy duration: 3 days, to match a queen's usual gestation period. DAMAGE/HEALING SETTINGS: These depend on how hard you want your game to be. I'm keeping mine at: Enemy Damage x 27 Hunger Damage x 1 Environment Damage x 9 Healing x 3 GAMEPLAY: I'll be starting with 0 food and 0 nesting material. It do be like that. I'll also be removing rogue males. Just to play it safe, we start out on Tiny Green..4 points

I agree with both of you. JessiMew is just really good at weaving stories together and fleshing out Nichelings personalities without anything feeling forced. Seri is just always all over the place and sometimes her storylines feel really forced and can annoy me. What annoys me most about Seri though is that she probably has 300+ hours in Niche and still doesn't seem to really know how to play the game. She makes some really basic mistakes sometimes which usually keep me away from watching her videos. Though sometimes I still watch her videos, especially because she has some really nice challenge ideas from time to time. She also has toned down her videos a little in the past few months, but I still think she doesn't stick enough with certain series (I hate unfinished playthroughs (exceptions are when the game updates and you loose a safe file). Though neither JessiMew nor Seri seem to know/ remember that spiky body females are safe from rogue males4 points

I know! I love that idea! Maybe Koreme and her family lived on this island as a jungle before it froze over. She must be very confused! That would also explain the velvet paw and pesky recessive Stinky Tail that keeps popping up on her children!4 points

Is it that weird to keep rogue children? I don't have the heart to get rid of them. The worst I'll do is banish them if for challenge reasons I have to reduce tribe numbers. It' not their fault who their parents are and some of them are kind of cute. Now actual weird things? If an albino rogue shows up, he must be bred with - he might be Yuki!3 points

-keeping recessive albinism around because of it's "history" and then going to the jungle (the tribe survived, though) -Being too proud to run away from a bearyena because this berrybush belongs to me! -Breed siblings together, get a bunch of babies that you can't really use, get a high tribe size, move to different island with the three new breeding pairs, repeat3 points

Oh my god yes and it is so painful when you are roleplaying and have all the stories lain out and then the misclick comes along and wants to destroy everything!3 points

Exactly! I really felt that recently with a random genetics vid to. She was just really distracted and it is just no fun to watch that way. Quality over Quantity.3 points

That reminds me of version 0.1.5, where every wanderer you found was automatically added into your tribe, even if you didn't want the wanderer yourself. I do the opposite.. I never invite a wanderer (no matter how pretty) unless 1. It has a gene I can only get by inviting them in (Antenna, wing, etc). 2. I have all females and the wanderer is a male or vice-versa. 3. I only have one nicheling. 4. I force myself to, so I can divert from my normal way of playing by breeding siblings (I know). Or 5. The save isn't ttc - Karg (Like, I don't remember the last time I invited a wanderer in with that tribe, if at all. It's also probably the reason I think I don't ever invite wanderers, considering I will often invite them in in other saves...).3 points

Wow, how many people here apart from me are older than teens? I feel a bit weird now...3 points

I don't know. Jessimew can seemingly survive in a tough situation, but Seri doesn't exactly learn. She seems so busy with producing content that it verges on restlessness. You can't get into a story if you never relax. So it's ideas, and more ideas and even better ones... but they don't quite make it on paper. It's as if her heart's never in it, but you can't expect anything else with a schedule so tight. So views have been dropping and she's pushing herself into burnout. It's really worrying.3 points

Just need to inform ya, STAY AWAY FROM STINKY FRUIT TREES.3 points

I DELETED THE LONGEST SAVE I'VE HAVE EVER PLAYED. 18 HOURS. 18 HOURS!! WHY DID I DELETE IT?!3 points

In my first tribe which was story mode, I took Adam and Eve's children to the ports without knowing that the home island gene was important and they didn't have it. Luckily the tribe went extinct from starvation, I would have been pretty disappointed to arrive to home island without the gene. Probably not the dumbest thing I've done, but pretty dumb. 🤪3 points

I think that they should be able to fly, but at least have their flying ability limited. Basically, (idk how far current bat winged/ bird winged nichelings fly) but say they fly a total of 10 tiles. A batbird would fly only 7 (or maybe lower) because their wings do not match I do think they should fly, just not as well as only bat winged/ only bird winged nichelings ^^3 points

The cats aren't magical. They're just a healing fruit, carried around by a crabbit and mistaken for a nicheling worldwide.3 points

By that title and the cover picture, I see you've probably figured out how the Defender Bear works. I still haven't seen the Defender Bear in-game yet myself, but I have experienced the wrath of the Peaceful bear if you are stupid enough to have your creature attack it. it and a bearyena killed the parents and their newborn children. Luckily the wanderer baby survived. I thought 'oh, it has a green silhouette in hearing/scent view, obviously it's completely passive.' Nope. Edit: wow, you slaughtered a rabbil right in front of the bear. Definitely crossed his line there...3 points

IT"S THE SMELLY FRUIT TREES. A lot of us, including me, have been getting similar bugs, and all of them are supposedly linked to the smelly trees, which are broken. This should be fixed in the next update that should come out Friday3 points
