  1. To continue Nichebusters by Skysplash?, this section serves for future experiments. 1. If you set up a male's mutation menu and release him, will breading grant you any mutations? Also, I clicked on the wrong setting. Meet Vandon, Vandon and Vandon, Dukdondon ans the only compatible Sirasi. Of course, her genes are awful. First batch pre-release. They have 2 mutations on average, digging paw + stinky tail. Nothing on those 3 from dad. Mama bat got lucky. Nr. 4 mutated digging paw. Love at first sight? Maybe she was chased by rogues. One more digging paw 2 more. So setting a male up before banishment is useful and distribution seemingly about usual.

  2. This is a challenge all about social structure. In this challenge, there are two social layers. You should use a very large island to allow this challenge to really take form: On the top are nobles. Nobles are the stronger, higher ranking faction. They are generally very beautiful (to you, at least), and will not bother with things like collecting grass. Nobles, however, do love a good hunt and chasing down rogues. They mostly live off the work from the villagers. They should each have their own space on a seperate part of the island than the villagers. They have the alpha rank. Their gems should be colored a noble gold. At the bottom are villagers. Villagers are normal, everyday nichelings with a whatever appearance. They may hunt, collect grass, pick berries, and all other nicheling related things. Each nicheling family has to have two parents and no more than 4 children. A couple cannot have more children until one of them dies or is married off. Each family should have their own small ‘house’ in the island at with at least one line of darkness between then and any neighboring family. They have the beta rank. Their gems can be colored between families so you can tell who comes from where. Generally, a house consists of some kind of food source (berry bush, river, tree) and a nest or at least enough space to make one. Marriage Daughters are very prized, especially a particularly pretty or talented daughter (Defined as having 3+ in any single skill, or a special skill such as weather prediction, this is up to you). When a daughter is born, all genetically compatible males will fight for the right to the daughter. If you have a lot of genetically compatible males, you can choose to limit the amount or only give each male 1 number so the numbers don’t get unmanageable. Use a die or a random number generator and give two numbers to each male, for example. Male 1 gets 2 and 6 Male 2 gets 1 and 3 Male 3 gets 4 and 5. The male whose number gets called wins the daughter, this is absolute, even if you didn’t want that female and that male to mate. HOWEVER, if the daughter is particularly desirable (in your eyes or by raw stats, whichever you prefer) and a noble family has a genetically compatible son, you must flip a coin to decide if the nobles take the daughter instead, regardless of whether you wanted her to mate with the nobles or not. Of course, this can always result in a lot of forbidden romances, subterfuge, sabotage, and family rivalries. This challenge is great fun if you’re into roleplay. Once a daughter reaches adulthood, she should get her own space with her husband and start having children as soon as possible. Their gems should gain a unique color, which all their children will inherit. Orphans and the matron: Orphans are the children of mothers and rogues, children a family has over their 4 child limit, or children whose parents have died. Somewhere on your island, there should be an orphan matron. Orphan matrons are usually older nichelings, sickly or crippled nichelings, or infertile nichelings. The orphanage should be separate from the normal area where your nichelings live, though not too far. Orphans have the omega rank. Orphan daughters can be married off when they reach adulthood. Usually only families that cannot seem to win a challenge will accept an orphan daughter as a wife. Nobles will never take an orphan wife. If there is no family who wants the orphan wife, she can either become a matron or a slave. Orphan sons may be married off if there are no other genetically compatible males for a given female. Otherwise, they begin work as matrons or become slaves for the nobles. This part of the challenge is mostly optional, but it does become useful if the orphan children have immunities that have become rare in the common population. Matron and orphan gems are orange unless they marry, after which they take their mate’s gem color. Matrons cannot marry or have mates. There can only be 3 matrons at a time! There are a few absolute rules in the clan: Villager females, especially married females, who mate with rogue males become ostracized. They can either be banished or given the omega rank and forced to do slave work like clear grass for the nobles, harvest stinky fruit, or become babysitters or orphan matrons. Their illegitimate children become orphans or can be banished and immediately killed if you choose not to do the orphanage. Villager families cannot become noble, though a family who produces desirable, healthy children is usually considered more highly among the clan members. Noble females who bring shame to the family name (for example, breeding with a rogue or a slave) are demoted to a villager. She cannot return to the noble rank ever again, and any children born from a demoted noble female cannot marry into noble families. If a male cannot produce children after 5 failed mating attempts (6 attempts in total), the daughter can choose return to their birth family and be married off to another male nicheling. A female can choose to give a male more chances, but generally will give up after ten tries or so. That male cannot compete for that daughter in her next challenge. An infertile daughter or son is usually banished, demoted to a slave, or made into an orphan matron as they are considered burdens on their family. Wanderers are always a villager, and cannot marry into noble families. However, their children can given they are talented and/or desirable enough. Nobles decide things like moving islands and serve as arbitrators in disputes. How to start: My settings are: Baby = 2 days Child = 5 days Teen = 12 days Adult = 61 days Pregnancy duration = 3 days Enemy damage = 10 Environment damage = 5 Hunger damage = 5 Healing = 5 Start with nine nichelings. Two noble families, and two villager families, and one orphan matron. Make sure to have their gems colored. You can design them or have the game generate them. You should use a large island. Grass Mingle, Grass adventure, Archipelago, and Peaceful Meadow are all good starting points. If you like a little variety, you can turn off some predators and go to some crazy islands like the deep jungle or home island. Do what makes you happy :3 Good luck!

  3. I don't think this has been suggested before since I couldn't find anything, please link me if it has. Animals dust bathe for various reasons; to rid themselves of parasites, keep insects away, dry themselves, and to keep cool/provide suncreen. http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2012/03/the-beauty-of-the-zebra-in-50-wildlife-photos/ Maybe nichelings who dust bathe can keep the swamp insects away from them for a few days (maybe 2 or 3, including the same day they dust bathe). And/or be provided sunscreen if they are a hot animal for again 2 or 3 days. This could make handling the bugs a little easier if you don't have insect-eating heads, and would help cool animals down so we would no longer have to settle with them loosing actions. Personally I like the former function more since better genes/actions have been suggested to stay cool in hot climates in my opinion. Nichelings can dust bathe on sand or grassless tiles I guess Edit: This could probably help nichelings get rid of leeches themselves instead of having to depend on another nicheling to lick it off

  5. I have an idea after this new update I was thinking about a digging or climbing update. The idea was to for the digging update was to make blind eyes actually have a use besides just disabling your niche it might be a good thing. My idea is that your niche could dig under the surface like the stagmoles (I think that what their called). Where they could dig and be like little moles. That's where the blind eyes gene comes in because if a niche goes under into the tunnels dug by a digging niche they will become blind because their so used to sun and light. That's why the digging niche would have long whiskers on there face and a long to tail to feel around and dig. In the tunnels a roof can cave in burying a nicheling needing an another nicheling to come help or the nicheling can pass away form lack of oxygen. Maybe come across a bunny because of those little bunny burrows. The climbing update idea The idea is that like jungle trees but more branches higher up and little tuck aways because of the prey stealing birds. I'm thinking that the idea for the nicheling are gliding squirrels and so they can glide form branch to branch or claws to climb up and down the tree. maybe have it's own island and for food maybe like outgrowing berry bushes. and new predator like a snake that will eat small to newborn nichelings.

  8. We're back again with this challenge, and the cold season seems to be drawing to a close. The nichelings (what should I name this tribe?) focus on collecting food to feed themselves. Love is in the air however, and a few of the nichelings have different ideas on how to spend their day. Anamera and Tango specifically, and finally a new baby will be born soon! But only a little later things get more interesting. The same rogue male comes back, a little too close to Ladybug. Strawberry fends him off, but as usual, not for long. A peaceful bear also makes an appearance, peering through the grasses at Vankirkir. Unfortunately Ladybug and Vankirkir, best friends when they were young, have drifted apart. Because of this he chooses to follow the peaceful bear, who he deems as his pet. The baby bearyena grows bigger by the day, and soon may pose a threat to the tribe. The cold season ends, luckily with no snow. The original three are growing old, but Anamera isn't done with baby-making yet. She has a handsome little boy (a boy again -_-) named Zekuta who's genes are healthy/useful at least. Thank the gods he has a beak, so he can peck at the termites like his grandfather Zerolur. Zerolur and Zatala spend most of their days gathering food, crazy in love. The old couple begins to prepare for their death and never stray far from each other. Twizzler, Ladybug, and Strawberry (I love him) form a tight group, staying together to gather food, explore, and scare off the pesky rogue who they refer to as Mosca (fly in spanish, and he is a pest, like a fly, get it?) Vankirkir gets distracted from his peaceful bear pet as he stumbles upon a new nicheling, Sunny. Vankirkir eagerly invites him into the tribe- he seems to love inviting nichelings into the tribe- and looses track of his pet for a moment. He quickly learns that Sunny is of no value to the tribe. He has a deformed paw, bad fertility, hemophilia, and no genes that will help his tribe in the cold climate. Zatala asks Vankirkir to kick Sunny out of the tribe, quietly so she doesn't make Sunny feel bad of course. The bearyena, who had dissappeared among the grasses a while ago, suddenly reappears. He charges at Ladybug, but Strawberry jumps into the way and claws him across the nose. The bearyena backs away, but as you guessed, not for long. Ladybug already harbors a crush for Strawberry, but after he valiantly defends her, she is sold. Meanwhile Vankirkir hesitantly banishes Sunny, who runs away with flattened ears and a dejected whimper. Zerolur is excited about his first grandson and eagerly starts teaching him the art of termite eating. Zekuta is interested at first, but soon grows bored and runs away. He already seems to take after his grandfather, not only in appearnce but his impatience as well. Unfortunately he runs right into the bearyena, but luckily Strawberry is nearby. He hears Zekuta cry for help and leaps in and slays the bearyena. Later, Ladybug and Strawberry mate. Anamera, feeling a little lonely after Zekuta's early departure, decides to pay her first child a visit. Tano is a diligent provider and hardly moves from his collecting spot. Mother and son reconnect, having not seen each other for many days. Ladybug meanwhile gives birth to a boy (are you serious) named Moosh. You can't see it here, but Moosh has inherited big body in his recessive slot. YES! He is the tribe's first sign of hope. He also sports poison fangs, guaranteeing the fact that he will be able to collect from poisonous berry bushes in the future. The next day is mostly uneventful, but the tribe gets to interact. Tango pays a visit to his parents Zatala and Zerolur, and Zekuta meets his nephew/cousin Moosh. Everything is going well. Mosco hasn't appeared in a while and there are no signs of predators or snow. Jinxed. Mosco appears again, intent on getting to Zatala. Zekuta jumps to defend his grandma, and Zerolur scratches the rogue. He's wounded in the process, but the feisty bird won't let Mosco get to his beloved again. Not too far away, Tano and Tango prepare to say goodbye to Anamera (noooo) who doesn't have much longer to live. The others focus on food and breeding, and Vankirkir insists he use more nesting material to keep his pet (what should he name it?) happy. Ladybug and Strawberry have a beautiful daughter (FINALLY) named Islala. She too has big body recessive and poison fangs, but unfortuantely she does carry hemophilia. Nevertheless, she is a welcome member to the tribe as the first daughter born and they celebrate! We end on a good note That's all for today! I might do a time jump because this is going along a little slowly. Or at least space out the scenes/story bits more. Anyways I'm so glad we're making progress.

  9. I want to hear what you would like to see in the next update Of Niche. Remember: if you have something specific that you would like to see in the next update, put it in the features suggestion forum! I think that I personally would like to see an update more focused on new genes 🧬. Of course I love the new sandbox update, and all the new gameplay changes that have happened, but my favorite part of looking through the suggestions forum is the new genes people come up with. Although I do think that any future sandbox options would be great too.

  13. That's hard. Crafting islands by hand would be awesome, but is unlikely to be implemented at this point. So new trees, new entity types. Like a seasons island, cliffs, caves, one of these suggestions. But it's pretty much finished, making big updates seem unlikely outside of add-ons.

  14. Test three: females in a close group They're after the two nicheling formation in no time. This has no effect. Natutally, they stay away once the rogue spawn is born. Is this effective in conserving food? This guy went after blue eyes and ran away. That seems to be standard behaviour, despite approaching them mutliple times, tile to tile. Conclusion: if you're out of males, keep three females close. Close enough is a maximum of one tile, otherwise the population density isn't high enough to ward them off.

  15. Test 2: distasteful and normal females - the rogue is still repelled after adding medium body with the console. Bug? When a new rogue males spawns, he is not repelled by a nicheling with former spiky body Red guy now refuses to mate with any female. Asexual representation? Hm... Rogue 2 now refuses to mate with any females. Rogue 3 hits Rogue 2 breads again with 3 females. Rogue 1 hangs out with his wife and kid. They're married now. Rogue 2 mates again with three former spiky, some odd days later Or not? Normal snout is his fav. So is webbed paw, who was only approached before by rogue 3. Despite having 3 potential females, he ignored the others. Conclusions: 1. The spiky body removal bug may tame a rogue fully. Spiky body is always avoided. 2. Rogues avoid mating again after the child is born for a little while. At least if they're born with 1 gem. 3. If multiple rogues are around, they're a lot more aggressive about mating. 4. Being in a nest may or may not make a female more attractive. On a different note, a favourite target may exist if only one or two rogues are around.

  17. To give my pantheon more live, I added spirits and minor gods. Dawnbringer is one of them, a goddess of beauty and light. Their island is doused in eternal darkness, but every once in a while, the sun rises. Bird beak and brown eyes? This may be an unpopular choice, but I don't get many nichelings with either. But her velvet red gown is beautiful, as are the rare markings around her eyes. In her first live, she was Snowgust, a too little bird from the mountains. Just as the iceblocks melted, she was swept away in icy talons. Are her markings scarrs from that encounter? Scourge is the male candidate. Born to a challenge tribe, they had to abide by the genes the gods provided. In the jungle... predictably, they all died. Still, he protects those who wander those shorelines alone. The spirit's only enemy are defender bears, for their shallow understanding of conflict. The apes he can forgive, but those slothful "counter bullys" know nothing of survival.

Sooo... * age settings are: Baby: 2 Child:4 Teen:7 Adut:60 ( seems long enough..) * Using This and This ( For the Personailty bit. Not the rest ) * damages settings are: Enviorment: 50 Enemy: 5 Healing: 2 LezzGOOO ( attempt number 2 for a playthrough KarpFin awoke, her chin resting in the flowers, she sat up and relised the tom next to her, who was panicing. "Hello?.." She managed to get out, her throat felt dry and her body felt weak. " Gh..Y-You're alive! I was certain you were dead.! W-who are yo-..Wait..Karp-" Karpfin nodded, The two had been sent into the ocean after a huge earthquake shook their island. It sent them clean off it. " WoodpeckerFur, We nedd to find food. " Karp said, starting to regain her strength. " Mhm.." He said, the two of them leaping into the grasses. Karpfin, Now KarpStar descovers SnailPaw in the bushes. Snailpaw says he was a former Medicine Cat apprentice before being exiled for something he didn't do. He becomes the clan's new Medicine Cat. WodpeckerFur and KarpStar had fallen in love, decide to have a kit. His name Is FlakeKit He wants to become a master fisher and is stern.

  22. First I will start of with the rules: Every creature must have a name in the order of A B C D.. ex. Our first 2 will have names that start with A and B. Their first child will be C. When we reach Z it will start over. Also, the last three letters will go to a new isle A tribe limit of 26. A creature must have a showing gene that starts with that letter. This at points may be justified. Ex: Water body may be Dorsal fin (It has one!) If a creature fails to do this, they will be killed using console. (their letter will not be skipped) X and Q (and possibly other letters without justifications) do not have this rule Inviting has the same rules. If a creature prematurely dies, it's letter will be skipped (ex. if L dies (as the newest one) the next will be M) The first three stages of life are normal, but the adult stage lasts 26 days For the starters there are really no rules but I put everything that started with an A on A and for B the same (A is Alexandri and B is Bellatrixx) I also started on the Burning Savannah because in counting it is the 26th island. I left things that had no A or B (for their respective creature) random. As well as giving A immunity to Alaxandri and B to bellatrixx while making them still compatible. Claw Blind baby... OF COURSE THE GOOD-EYED BABY IS KILLED! D-immunity yes... immunities count (Dork didn't have it) (Also I renamed the child Daedalus) Some bad child with no genes that start with E Epic attack (He has 8.) Like I said. Justifications. Fertility We started to move and got this baby. The naming/gene rule does NOT count for bearyenas Great Fertility, Gravedigging paw When two children are born the same day you take their random names and see which one is higher alphabetically. If they are twins they can have the same letter. H-immunity Rouge baby with a self-explanatory name. (I actually wanted him to be H so I could say No Hygene.) She has no I gene as well! She's so beautiful as well... I couldn't think of an I gene (other than the immunity gene) so I took a blow and made a creature Infertile... (I checked Unlock All Genes) *Name changed to Idas Jungle black I give up on K I actually want to add a challenge: When you give up on a letter, the creature who takes the letter's mom dies... Good-bye Bella (You weren't my favorite anyways! Sirius is! ... In HP and Astrology) Ahh... my first Gen is gone... I guess it is time...

  27. I've had this idea for a while so i'm just going to post what ideas i've got: -They appear on killer islands. -They will kill every unrelated male/infirtile female/baby(Rouges and Wanderes included) and breed with any females that they see. -Lives 40 days. -Only one Killer Rouge on an island. -Decent genes, sometimes has rare genes: Always has beneficial fur color. Can have antlers or ram horns Body will either be Big body(60% chance), Spiky body(39% chance) or even (Rarely) Armored body(1%) Their paws will mostly be claws. Maybe bearyena claws. Some will have crippled paw. Tail will usually be medium tail, fishing tail or scorpion tail. Will ALWAYS have recessive shortsighted/blind eyes. -Bigger than usual. -Moves like your nichelings(3 turns a day) Feel free to suggest ideas/impovements for this!

  28. (Note: This post is updated frequently with news about new members, changes to certain areas, and more. All of this is written at the end of this post, so you won't have to search this entire section every time you come on. Also, anything in parenthesis is said by me - KittyDragon, and not part of the actual conversation between Nichelings. Just wanted to let you know.) Wobble - Hey there, welcome to our tribe! ...Huh, you were expecting a more interesting and mystical introduction? Sorry about that, I'm no good at talking formally... Anyways, are you new here? Well, in that case I should probably start by telling you the laws in our tribe. First, No bad words, inappropriate jokes, or anything like that. The Elder's Cub is pretty sensitive to that kind of stuff, so it's best to keep things family friendly. Next, Don't be mean just to be mean. Yeah, sure arguments happen sometimes, that can be forgiven, but pushing people around on purpose is taking things too far. (You can roleplay arguments between characters as long as everybody is okay with it, but you're not allowed to target the people playing them directly.) The same thing goes for creating chaos. Accidents happen sometimes but causing trouble on purpose is a serious offence. Also, don't get to violent. Attacking for hunting and defense may be necessary, just no killing for sport. (This applies mainly to roleplaying. I don't expect anyone to want - or be able to - harm anyone physically. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean it's allowed.) Oh, and anybody is allowed to fill any position, no genetic restrictions here! Erm... well looks like that's about it for rules. I guess I should show you around then! All right, here in the center of the island is the camp. (circled in green on the map) The camp is where the tribe members spend most of their time. That area over there is where the Elder Bear stays. The Elder Bear leads our tribe, and is accompanied by his metaphorical "Cub", Anepa most of the time. Anepa cares for the Elder and speaks for him because I'm pretty sure no one else speaks bear. (The Camp) (The Elder Bear) From here if you cut straight through this grass You'll eventually reach the Aquamarine Marsh. (circled in grey-blue) The name I came up with is pretty cool right? I have no idea what it means but hey, it's still neat! Anyways, this is where Zorthok trains the Fierce Hunters, or more specifically, yells at them as they smash thorn bushes and knock snails out of trees. ...You might want to be careful if you're considering becoming a Fierce Hunter yourself. This area also serves as what is currently our only watch tower, which is run by Kokirdo. She's absolutely nuts about snails, so you should probably stay away from her too, as she thinks that they're the very best food and thus the only thing our tribe should ever eat... *Shudders* (Aquamarine Marsh) Now, continue along the shore here and you'll soon reach Termite Bay... It's not as bad as you might think, trust me! (circled in yellow) This place gets its name from those three termite hills over there, and you'll only sometimes get bitten if you knock over their nests. This is also where Soup lives, and is supposed to be collecting the right amount and variety of food. Though, he never actually does his job instead he just sits around eating termites all day. Though, this is probably a good thing because otherwise the only thing we'd have to eat is more termites... (Termite Bay) And right around this bend is Alga Cove, one of my favorite places on this island! (circled in dark blue) Alga Cove is where the Nimble Fishers stay, which are organized by Mudskip, and which currently have no members... Instead Mudskip fills the roles as best he can which, honestly, is pretty well! He's really nice, and looks forward to working with any new tribe members. (Alga Cove) Well, that seems to be about it... Oh wait! I forgot to tell you the positions that are open in the tribe! Here, I'll give you the list. Sorry I can't stay any longer, the Anepa wants to see me. List of Positions Main Positions Elder's Cub: (Taken) Cares and speaks for the Elder Bear. Anepa - cheery, hardworking, and a little crazy. Anepa: Wait! Before you go, I would like to tell you one last thing. You may have heard about previous restrictions involving those affiliated with the war. Well, I am pleased to announce that the war has finally ended, so those restrictions no longer apply. Enjoy your stay! (Note: People seem to be confused about our tribal system, so I'm posting this note to clear things up. I don't expect anybody to roleplay everything their character does in their day-to-day life. The roles exist so that the nichelings seem to be doing something while the player isn't there. For example, when I'm not on, just assume that all of my nichelings are doing their normal jobs, but when I start playing as them again, that means that something unusual happened that they have to react to, like an invasion, a new member showing up, or even just another character talking to them. Of course you're still allowed to roleplay nichelings as they do their jobs. It can lead to interesting situations and helps build their personalities.) (Schedule: I'm not active on this forum from 7:00am to 4:30pm from Monday - Friday due to school. You're still allowed to post then, but I won't be able to respond until after I get home. If anything changes about this schedule, then I'll post it in the news section.) News!

  31. I'm trying to do my challenge, which you can find right here! I'm doing the hard version, where I completely rely on mutations and wanderer genes only to try to adapt to my environment. Wish me luck please 😓 We begin with, from left to right, Zatala, Anamera, and Zerolur. Jungle creatures, who have stumbled onto the wrong island. Spots for camouflage, toxic body and stinky tails to ward of predators, velvet paws to tiptoe across the jungle floor. Zerolur even has bird beak to help him pick at termites from their mounds, and a lean body to help him stay cool in the heat (completely forgot that big ears could've also been added, oops). But none of these helpful jungle genes will do them good in the freezing snow. Hesitantly they begin to explore. help me please Okay well apparently termite mounds occur on snow islands. Guess Zerolur's beak just became way more handy. He slurps some up and mates with Anamera, who quickly settles down in a nest. Zatala manages to snag a rabbil. So far so good, but there seems to be something rustling in the grass... Anamera gives birth to her first child, a bearyena headed male named Tano. Unfortunately he inherits his father's lean body, but overall he isn't so bad. Zerolur and Zatala focus on providing food for the small group, but they are eyeing each other through the grass blades. They mate the next day, and Anamera takes her first step onto the hard ground of the snow island. It feels unfamiliar and foreboding under her paws, yet she chooses to stay. It is her new home and she'll have to get used to it. Zatala gives birth to a beautiful son, Vankirkir, that has her tortoiseshell markings. He also sports a purr snout and luckily, medium body. I can tell he'll come to his tribe's aid later, healing them after attacks or hunger pangs. Two days later Zatala gives birth to twins, boys named Twizzler and Tango. They are nearly the same, except Tango has some antennae. Anamera also gives birth to a boy named Strawberry (so many boys oh god) and Zerolur continues to harvest termites and guard his children. Tragedy strikes. Zatala is attacked by a rogue male when trying to pick berries and becomes pregnant. Zerolur chases the male off, but he doesn't go very far. Twizzler and Tango watch in shock as the sudden scene plays out in front of them. Vankirkir however finds a new face skittering across the roots of a nearby acorn Tree. A lovely female his age, Ladybug. Unfortuantely she is quite slow and shows hints of aquatic ancestry, but Vankirkir could care less. Risking the growing group's food stores, he invites her into the tribe. Cold suddenly descends on the tribe, chilling Anamera to her bones. Tango and Vankirkir quickly jump to her side, warming her up. Twizzler meanwhile investigates his half-brother Strawberry, a red and pink strange looking fella. The two play-wrestle while Zatala's rogue attacker lurks nearby. The rogue's son, born a day or two before, has been tossed into the sea by Zerolur himself. He had twittered in satisfaction as the infant sank below the surface. Chaos. A mother bearyena and her cub pass by, leaving bleeding claw marks on Zerolur's and Zatala's hides. Tano, now grown and an excellent food provider, spots a bluebird up ahead. The weather grows colder. But the tribe isn't doomed yet. Tango, Strawberry, and Tano work together to bring the mother bearyena down. The bearyena cub scuttles away, and fortunately the rogue male dives into the sea, seemingly searching for his drowning son. Hopefully he drowns in the process am I right Soon it will begin to snow, and the tribe knows it. They huddle together, providing each other warmth and company. Strawberry and his other half-brother Tango settle next to a vulnerable Anamera and prepare for the first snowflakes to fall. The others try desperately to gather food for the coming freezing days. And sadly, Zatala's rogue son joins the crabbits and seaweed in a watery grave... honestly I feel so bad I've never purposefully killed a nicheling That's part one for now! Hopefully things look up next time, but that doesn't seem likely...

  36. I'll play with default settings, but with berrybushes turned off, blind genes and somewhat customized starters. No berries for you.sandbox

  37. In the case of the pattern, maybe it should be a new gene entirely. One allele would be normal presentation, and another would be a childhood pattern that would work the way you suggested. Other alleles that could fit in this gene slot could be aging patterns, bioluminescence, adult patterns (opposite of childhood patten), tricoloration, countershading, heavy presentation (darker more vibrant), and light presentation (faded pattern).

  38. Aaaa! Why her? It was Muddy who attacked a rabbil! He chose the roguechild... Anamila joins the tribe. I was about to say "Can I get a male wanderer, please?" They might be siblings. Also check out this child! A boy!

  39. Jokes on you, my desktop’s audio was blasted out a long time ago! ...But on the subject of the $1 game. I’d love to get some of my friends into the game, but who knows if they’d actually want it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  43. So on my royal bakery playthrough, I hopped several islands trying to find one that wasn't freezing, all in very quick succession. I finally made it to an island I liked but noticed something odd. The day counter had reset. For reference, the last time I had checked it, it was at around 70 days or so. This is on the latest tester branch, in a sandbox world. I had turned off peaceful bears, defender bears, and home animals. The computer is running Windows 10 on the latest update. I have custom names and gem colors, if that's important.

  44. Problem: When you select a component that's part of a chain, the child nodes are green, with a gradient toward light green. This is pretty difficult for me to make sense of, especially when there are a bunch of chains knotted up (the actual connectors are impossible to see). I would appreciate a UI design that makes order more apparent, even for long chains. Possible solution: 1)While a chain is selected, make the connectors visible on the UI, perhaps with a thin, high contrast outline (yellow?) 2)Do something special to highlight the end(s) of the chain. Perhaps the selected node can get a green outline, and the node at the end of the chain can get a dark green outline? 3)Optional overlay (hold '+' maybe?) to print high-contrast numbers over each node, indicating it's length from the selected parent. LOVING the Racing update! It's what I bought the game for!

  45. Topaz is born. Isili finds a Bearyena, but runs out of energy before she can kill it. Fortunately, her Armored Body will protect her well. If she defeats it, she might becomes Isili the Bearyena Hunter! Prince Arctic becomes curious about his sister the Queen's strange friend. Queen Kami is happy to teach him about crabbits. We've unlocked a lot of genes! Also, wow, look at that attack count! ARTHURRR KING ARTHUR IS DEAD. THE ASSASSIN WILL BE FOUND! I so want to have an alternate universe where Kami and Arthur have babies together. Maybe after I'm done with Albino Wanderer and She-Rabbil in Island of Fire I can get Kami and Arthur in there. Also, Isili kills the Bearyena and is announced Bearyena Slayer. Ginny the Children Watcher has an enemy. Arthur's comrade also passed away. He came to Envy to tell her his final words... (Envy swore she wouldn't tell anyone else what they were, sorry) Also, only 4 males. Little does the tribe know that one of their very own males, presumed dead, lives on, though he is plagued by a leech... Yay! Another male! The twins find a Bearyena and call upon the Bearyena Slayer. Queen Kami and Prince Arctic (who is now Kami's assistant in Crabbit Caretaking)(they were just trying to find some Crabbits in need) discover the long lost (and forgotten) prince! No! A (sick/blessed by Meringue) Rogue Male! The twins (who are showing to be true descendants of Kinarri) protect isili the Bearyena Slayer from harm. Queen Kami renames Die, giving him the new name of Gold (his fur is gold + he had a goldleech for a long time). Anyways, Kami and Gold fall in love at first sight. Ginny has another daughter. Princess Sparrow is happily collecting coconuts, but finds that no more have fallen. She cries out in despair (she doesn't like shaking the tree, she says that Palmer doesn't like that), and attracts a young male.
