Okay, so I thought I could make a place where I would just plop all of the random Niche art I make that is not a part of my drawing requests. I will be updating this every time I make something new! This drawing is of Kokonut from Seri! The Pixel Biologist's Fruitlies tribe. In one of the episodes, Kokonut's sister Kiwi dies, so that's when this drawing takes place- Yeah, it's a little different from the drawings I normally make, but I really like it! Stay tuned for more random art!

You may be asking what I did, or not. BUT I SURVIVED! DEADLY HILLS! I started out with useless toxic bodied Nicheling with basically 0 attack. Stayed by the water a bit. (This is basically a playthrough except I already got to my goal so now I'm explaining what happened) A killer bearyena appeared. We ran away. The starter female got pregnant by a rogue male. They headed inland. She stopped to have her baby. Left the child. The child got killed. They went inland to the only tree on the island. They got nuts so they wouldn't starve. They frantically gathered grass to have her second child. She had the child. The next day the parents died. Down to one Nicheling. I skipped the day because if he moved he would have gotten taken away by the bluebirbs. He searched around. Found a wanderer! A female wanderer! They had some children. Mostly girls. Wanderers everywhere. No one minded because we needed them. Found a bat boi. He had some children. A normal bearyena appeared with a baby! We killed the bearyena. Tamed the child. Once the child grew up 2 females bred with it. They had to flee into the grasses. Found a nest. The older female had her child. Beautiful. Once that child got out of the nest the other female had her child. A sloth. He couldn't move more than one tile at a time. The beautiful bearyena child had child with the other family. Nothing much happened afterwards. The rest of the story is just bearyena's coming and us killing them or killing us. Taming bearyena children. Though, I want to talk about one wanderer. She was a derp snout. I should have a picture of this moment of her and her mate... Nope. Well I have the picture on steam but I don't quite understand how to transfer it over here so let me explain. The wanderer was pregnant with her mates child and was following her mate. Her mate lead her to a nest. I just think that's really cute. Her mate was a friendly bearyena, by the way. Well that's it! If I can just breed that fishing tail out I think the tribe might move to frost lands. Oh and I just decided that I'm making a poll on this if we should move right now or breed out fishing tail. Or don't try to move at all. I don't want to freeze.

After posting the blue-eyed baby suggestion I started thinking about other things that could be added for little nichelings. And so I came up with playing and chasing. Baby animals playfight, spar, chase each other and prey items, climb, just have a good time you know. But these activities benefit the baby for it's future as an independent adult. When baby bears playfight they sharpen fighting skills, when horse foals chase each other they build muscle that will let them run faster. Any nicheling will have the potential to gain +1 Strength, +1 Defense, or +1 Speed if they have 3 or less on that stat (if they have 4 or more on any of these stats then they can't get a bonus). But only if they playfight/chase as a baby or child a certain amount of times. So make sure they have siblings or cousins, cause if not they're getting nada Playfighting would just be an action where you hover over a young nicheling with another young one (baby and child stages) and select playfight. Playfighting will give your nichelings a chance at having a bonus stat (+1 strength or defense) when they become teens/adults. -This can possibly depend on who they play with. For example if a baby plays with a child then when the baby is grown it will get a defense bonus, since it had to defend itself against the larger child. This could be vice versa also, with the child getting strength for fighting the baby. -Or their bonus could instead depend on their actions. If one youngster is always initiating the playfighting then it might get a strength bonus, while the one who is at the end of the action often might get a defense bonus. Playfighting can perhaps be extended to mock-fighting in teenagers that will also give bonuses. *** Chasing would work differently, and by this I mean chasing prey. Rabbils are the only small land animals available so baby and child nichelings could "pounce" or "attack" on a nearby rabbil. The rabbil will not get hurt and will skitter away, but this gives the baby a chance at having a speed bonus. The baby/child (and possibly teen) will need to do/be the recipient of the action 4(?) times to get a bonus, and this number can increase if your nichelings live longer due to changed settings. Blue eye suggestion:

I posted the rules to this challenge before, but I ought to test some settings. So here's the Warriors version. As part of the rules, no names will be changed. Prepare for disaster. Starting with the randoms Slight Peltthistle, the elder Lighteye and a young Poppydawn. 'Pelt is a bit overpowered, but she's a reincarnation of a nicheling I really loved -- and imagine was cursed. But who's to blame for this?

I have too many screenshots. I can't find things very well. According to the name of the screenshot, these were Lily, her mate Little Paw, and their kid Grass. Unfortunately this savefile was deleted my the game without my permission. Found this wanderer while a tribe started in the jungle headed for the shown flower ports. It was about this time when Anaanala died, leaving her son in her place. The tribe had to wait a long time for him because he had frog feet. The Spiky Body creature is Chickadee, Flamingo's mate, and their child is Dove, the gray teen. Both Flamingo and Chickadee were wanderers. The peacock guy. I don't remember his name, but I do remember that he was sick and didn't last long. He was a wanderer. Also Eagle is one of my prettiest males. I have a lot more but I'd have to search deep into my screenshots.

I don't have a picture, sadly. She was the cutest wanderer I've seen with the derpoo snout. She was a melanistic beaver with a webbed paw and a runner leg.

This idea is based on this post: Where we came to the conclusion that in story mode certain islands always show up in a certain order (tiny green-> peaceful meadow-> grass adventure-> archipelago -> swamp -> burning savnnah (and later the challenge islands) but sandbox mode is more random (you can literally sometimes go from tiny green to a jungle island or a killer island even). So I'd like an option were we can have an option to have the same unlocking pattern for the islands that we have in story mode just for sandbox.

Yeah, they didn't find company. Staying in one spot doesn't seem to work well, so I'll be moving more. Got 2 rogues, though. If this keeps up, I'll have to change the recommended setting to 45 days. Some console use will be enough for now, if only because the island's really nice.

It turned out that Silenthalf was disabled as a kit. His father had died defending the litter, but sickly Silentkit was still the only reminder of its existence. Truly, they had never expected the tiny bean to survive, or to lose his illness. But here he is, shunned, despite all ability. He really can move surprisingly well, as wasted on his turning and twisting into the shadows. Is seeing his right half so painful? What did they do to him? But she doesn't know. Not that she'd harass the striking green and red nicheling for private information. She isn't even upset that they leave for fishing trips. Really. She's just surprised by the lack of moving meat. So she goes hunting alone. A rather dangerous pursuit, but it's winter and they're almost starving. Not that the love-striken pair would notice

Winter comes. 'Pelt hunts for rabills, while Lighteye attempts to introduce a young Poppy to the world of Palm trees. Team tree isn't really successful. However strangely, the slight nicheling feels as she had hunted hundreds of times before. Her paws know the when to pounce and her teeth never miss their mark. Infact, when she closes her eyes -- no. Focus. Seaweed for Lighteyes aching paw, not another rotting squirrel! The last one brought maggots to the fresh kill pile... When she returned, Poppydawn was wrapped around the grumpy swamp traveller, deep asleep. He didn't open his eyes in greeting. Now all alone with Dawn, there was no need for hunting. Still. A girl can dream. And occasionally pounce. It really should have surprised her more when a creature appeared, salivating at the sight. Not that she'd give it to him. Later that day, he would introduce himself as Silenthalf. "Silenthalf? What a ... oh". 'Someone, kill me now', she berated herself. Indeed, the nicheling missed half his face, down to the eye and ear, by the skyshreekers, even his right leg was badly scarred! How did he survive? Unsurprisingly, the distrustful being creeped back into the grasses. She would have to send Poppydawn after him. Her calm and sweet demeanor can calm the most enraged Big Bear. Surely, Silenthalf won't resist?

Re and Ed were default while dt I added. It fits Ted well.

TMP runs into ISYF screaming "FIREEEEEEEEEEEE!"
