Hey folks In case you are wondering why we haven't been around much last week: We went to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. A big part of the team came along Ready for take off! Zurich to San Francisco is a 12 hour flight >_< We had a booth with Nimbatus with the Swiss delegation! Business business. We even had some time to go explore the city. Arno and Roger enjoying the nice weather ❤️ It was Arno's first time in San Francisco, so we totally had to go see the sea lions. We also went to explore China Town and Little Italy. And of course, there is Japan Town! (As you can see I'm getting impatient to eat my tasty Ramen on this one.) Markus and me bought tons of books and even some easy to read Japanese manga which will hopefully help us to learn Japanese faster It was a great week, we can't wait to go again next year!

I’ve been to San Francisco before, but I went when I was about 4 so I barely remember anything. All I remember is a baseball stadium there and a picture of me and my mom overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Glad you guys had fun, though!

i think i can help add to this! i’m a furry. people seem to argue about the term a lot but all the fellow furries i know just describe it as someone who likes anthropomorphic animals. i like them because of nostalgia- my childhood was a bit rough/volatile and the best, most consistent comfort i had when times were tough was in the characters of cartoons and disney films. i had an inherent love for animals, so my family always bought me things like The Fox and The hound, All Dogs Go to heaven, The Lion King, and shows like Catdog and Rocko’s Modern Life. if i’m being honest with you, i don’t think fandoms of any sort are usually ever good. many fandoms have a herd mentality, and it often gets toxic. i believe it’s better to befriend someone with a variety of interests than just liking someone because they like the same thing as you. it gets old fast. even anti-furries aren’t too bad. i usually like to be kind to them without letting them know i am a furry, and then casually mention it. after i explain why i like what i like, they usually end up more open to the furry fandom in general. most prejudice is due to a lack of knowing anyone who actually IS a furry, and i like to be a positive experience to change their point of view.

Sometimes I tell myself to refrain from using stuff like “owo” too, mainly because I don’t want the anti-furries to immediately call me out for it/for people to think I’m immature. I use it around some people because I’m so used to it (I.e. my close friends), but other times I have to tell myself to not use text emoticons.

To answer your question, yes I believe I am one. I don’t do things like walk around in giant dog costumes, but I think they look cute from afar and I sometimes check out fursuitter twitter pages. I totally understand as to why you want to leave the fandom; I, myself, haven’t been subject to an online predator, but I am proud you blocked him. As for finding nobody interesting: I can relate too. Most furries I know are the same in some terms... but as far as I know, the forums is a safe haven. I’m sure you’ll like it here.

Passive "avoid the edge" and "hold the center" strategies dominate the ring right now, but once in a blue moon you'll find something in random rotation which seeks your drone and takes it out. I call them active drones. Their strategy is to avoid the opponent until they're in a good striking position. They're persistent, difficult to confuse, stronger than radial designs, and eat "tricky" things alive. Idle Behavior Your drone shouldn't always move towards the target unless you feel like catching facefuls of magnets, bees, and rammers. It shouldn't sit still either, or the bees will come to you. Your drone must keep moving even when it's not busy attacking things. Building vertically avoids rammers! You can win an amazing amount of matches just by not being where anyone expected. After that, the tilted direction indicator lets it circle the ring (orbiting is just aiming for something and missing) until the forward sensors trigger other conditions. You can build a direction-follower you can turn off with NOR gates. They're like inverters you can turn off; X NOR FALSE = NOT(X) but X NOR TRUE = FALSE . So they get wired up like ENGINE_R = DIR_L NOR TARGET. Attack Behavior When TARGET is triggered, the idle behavior turns off, letting other gates do something else. Something like ENGINE_L = ENEMY_L AND TARGET. TARGET itself can be simple -- TARGET_L OR TARGET_R -- or as complicated as you want, including things like "give up and move away after 12 seconds".

You can use them to double-secure something, like a spring block connecting from the core to "open space" inside a hollow block. You can even build chains that way, hollow blocks secured to each other with springs, not really "connected" in game logic just kept together with forces and hitboxes.

I have two new ones eeeeee Power and Skitter, god and goddess respectively, both of Apes! Power is also the god of strength! Power was born 3/4 bearyena, with two big bear claws and bear hind legs as well as big body, giving him a 9 in strength. The strongest baby in the Skittles 2.0 tribe to date. Though that also made him incredibly slow. His strength grew to be of great importance. His first challenge: defeat the bearyena that sat atop the One Tile River Island. After proving himself successful, he found another foe to defeat: An incredibly buff wanderer who believed that he was the King of the Rainforest. But Power put the wanderer in his place by killing him in 2 swift swipes. Power went on to destroy many carnivorous plants, but his true challenge did not come until near the end of his life. His stepfather and stepbrother slunk through the grasses and into a clearing of tall jungle trees one day. And there they beheld a massive ape--on the last day of its life! Hearing the ruckus, Power crossed the river that parted the island, and watched from the grasses as his stepfather stepped in front of the ape, waiting patiently for the ape to die so he could gather its meat. Just then, a small, helpless albino orphan skittered out of the grasses and crashed right into the massive Power. Power coaxed her into joining the tribe and appropriately named her Skitter. The next day, the old ape was dead but no meat was found. But a new big eyed ape was there taking its place. Power pushed the young Skitter into the river, hoping to get her across to safety. He then jumped in front of the ape, landing the first few attacks. Skitter watched sadly as her big friend was killed by the ape the next day.
