okay this sounds unexpected but I just had a huge chunk of niche lore put immediately into my head.. imagine if, before the gems, nichelings were free creatures, who lived normal lives like wild animals? and then the gems came. they like, lodged themselves into a few nicheling's chest and they lost their free will, and could only do three things a day, and that was dictated by the gems. then, the gems forced them to have children, and those children had the gems too. kind of like an infection. imagine if we are playing as the gems, that would be awesome. I was thinking of making a niche comic or something and this is my idea now lmao thanks7 points

I love how everyone's fire deities have cool and tragic backstories which would earn them power (melody, your god of fire, ect..) but my goddess of fire was just like "lOl I wOnDeR wHaT tHiS hOt ReD sTuFf DoEs" and then was like "oW tHaT hUrT" and her older, more responsible purrsnot sister had to heal her. yup, definitely a creature worthy of the title "goddess".6 points

All Meringue did was be sick, and he got the title of God of Sickness. He wasn't even my first sick creature, either. Good job, Meringue...5 points

In memory of all fire gods and nichelings affected by the glitchy, immortality granting flames... Comes born from Fire! You start with all genes unlocked in the burning savannah. However, leave starters random and keep food low at 10. Predators deal 100x damage. Enviromental is 0. When nichelings achieve their second gem, they have to step into the flames. If they survive (10%) chance, they're proclaimed trueborns. If they roll any number between 1 and 9, they're turned into ashes. Only trueborn gods can attack predators, so be careful. Lifespans are 1,4,5 and 65. Trueborn gods fall into sleep when reaching old age, and are reset to age 1. While they "sleep", they're very vulnerable and may die. Can you survive?3 points

Ooh, I remember a similar one. When you rotated sometimes your creature would go along with wherever you rotated and got in weird situations, such as: I think another issue was that sometimes creatures didn’t count as valid entities, so another creature could just move to wherever they were and phase through the creature3 points

The only worrying bugs left are... 1) earless, colourless nichelings after removing things like batsnout and melanism. (Since they cover geneslots). Like Brokenshock said, loading the save again fixes it. 2) Nichelings eternally stuck with one movement. Can always happen when you change the genes of a baby. Speed genes and age, especially. How to fix it: age them back to the baby stage. Skip the day until they grow up naturally. If teen starts at 5, setting them to 4 is fine 3) explore all fields. No grass will ever regrow on the affected island. No fix 4) Forcing Adam's family to respawn. They may now appear on random saves with altered genes. For me, these were... No paw, swimming paw, scorpion tail, peacock tail, violet eyes, more common horns. Other people found different body types.3 points

((I decided to replay AHVHC because now I know the new Grass Mingle better (Thanks, Defender bears...), I should retry it (and because I forgot some of the settings when i first played it, like the regular hind legs in the genes and the correct pregnancy duration). I'm adding a bit more lore to it, too.)) A young female sits on the shore of Grass Mingle, dazed and a bit confused as to what's going on. As she rises to her feet, she feels a wave of regret as she remembers. Her clan was in a war, and she was knocked into the sea by one of her enemies. Her clan was fighting a losing battle, and she knows that even if she finds home, they will likely be either enslaved or eliminated. She claws the sand beneath her in anger, but knows that there is no turning back now. Her name is Angrypaw, for her hot temper. She is a hardy she-cat, and knows that her only option now is to live as a rogue until she finds someone to accompany her. But one night, Starclan comes to her in a dream. They tell her that one day she will lead a great clan. She will undergo great hardship, but it will be worth it. They say that her name is now Angrystar, and she will have a clan called Dreamclan due to the prophecy coming to her through a dream. Now inspired and empowered, Angrystar is determined to be a great leader and train until she reaches such status. She grows into a bold and curious warrior. Angrystar's first clan member is a kit who she takes in and names Stagkit, due to his handsome and elegant looks. Stagkit grows into Stagpaw, a handsome and bold apprentice. Soon after the training of Stagpaw begins, Angrystar stumbles across a dark-furred handsome male. "Who are you?" She asks, raising her hackles cautiously. "Blackotter," he says, bowing his head. "I would like to join your clan, if I may." "...Sure," she says slowly. Angrystar soon finds she has no reason to be suspicious- Blackotter is docile and even a bit naive, making him essentially harmless. However, Angrystar still sometimes gets annoyed at him, thinking him finicky or too silly. Angrystar is even more suprised when Blackotter flirts with her. "What makes you think that's a good idea?" she hisses to him when he gently places his paw on hers one day. "Just that.. I think you're pretty, and I like you." "How juvenile," she spits. Even so, she does have a soft spot for him, and they become mates. Unfortunately, Angrystar is killed fighting off a rogue male. Thanks, defender bear. Blackotter takes over, becoming Blackstar. The death of Angrystar traumatizes Stagpaw, and he still isn't the same when he becomes a warrior- Stagdeer. He has become more laid back rather than bold, and avoids fighting the best he can. Stagdeer finds a lone apprentice and takes her into the clan. "What's your name?" he asks. "Waterpaw," she says softly. "I was born in a clan of swimmers." "What happened to them?" She does not answer. Whatever happened, she is a member of Dreamclan now. She is sweet and docile. Blackstar is killed by a defender bear because apparently for some reason termite destruction is violence?? Either way, Stagstar is leader now.2 points

I'd say that I'm someone who likes animals and furries, but isn't a furry. I like anthropomorphic animals, I find them cute and I find them easier to draw than humans! I also have a sona who is an animal. I don't have a fursuit and I don't really want to get one, because I don't want to walk around all day in an animal costume XD but that doesn't mean I'm against fursuiters. This forum is a safe place though, the people here are really nice and I'm sure they'll accept that you're a furry!2 points

so im doing this now (the next bit happens in my pantheon. mekoko is my goddess of death, tornado is my god of life. rosefur is my goddess of the earth/ plants) mekoko shot her body around, after hearing a voice cut through the darkness. "mekoko" it echoed. "what?" she replied, somewhat calm yet still annoyed; she knew who this voice belonged to. "i'm busy, tornado. can't you see I have a bearynea to control?" "yes, but this is important, mekoko. I may have forgiven you, but I still control your duties." the beaked goddess sighed. "fine. lead the way." "good." the two arrived at rosefur's home, where plants of all sorts- roses, ivy, thorns,- spiralled around the small earth in the center, powered by a magical force. rosefur sat next to it, and turned to welcome the two dieties. "oh.. hello there. I see you brought mekoko." she spoke in a soft voice, almost silently. something had troubled her, and mekoko immediately knew that. "I need your help. theres a.. creature.. who-" tears swelled in her eyes, and tornado explained the ordeal to mekoko. "a creature was chosen by her to be a prophet of sorts. spread the word of her to their tribe. instead, the creature spread rumors of how she is a vengeful goddess, who only loves to control things she has no business with. she can't seem to change the tribe's mind now. what she asks, mekoko, is that you use your power to destroy the creature. make their life.. hell." mekoko objected; "doesn't that seem a little counter-productive? they think you are a vengeful goddess, so you get me to destroy them all. great idea-" "mekoko. you do not have a choice" the only god in the room spoke, firmer than the stone beneath their feet. "okay then. just dont come crying to me AGAIN when they all are just more scared of you." " you made the right choice. now, rosefur, show her this creature" "o-of course" tawnystar settled her feet on the sand. she had finally arrived on this new island; and in turn had -hopefully- escaped the cage of rosefur's control. leaving her whole life behind had been hard, but she couldn't live knowing she could be pushed around like some kind of puppet at any moment, because they didn't believe in a goddess. she wandered for a while, weaving her way through a rogue male's line of sight, and she had finally discovered some kind of reliable food source. it was hard to rely on her digging paw- she couldn't smell a single thing with her gills. any food in the ocean was ignored too- she feared the leeches' teeth more than starvation itself. a berry bush would be more than alright for now, especially because her instincts constantly reminded her of the threat of defender bears emerging at any moment. a rainstorm and a harvest later, a bearynea's growl climed up the hairs on her neck. she ran away and hid, hoping either the grass, her fur or her stinky tail would save her. and it was barely enough to survive the night. the second the monster noticed her, she made a cunning escape through more savannah grasses. but, as most things happen, it was not enough. her short life came to an end in one swift strike, and before she could run away (she remembered her family being able to survive many swipes) she found herself facing mekoko in what could only be described as some kind of afterlife, and she apologised to the poor child, explaining her situation and promising her a second chance at survival. (ok well that ended quickly, im definitely starting with the same bloodline because I was really exited to do this challenge)2 points

Ooh! I still have a bunch of files saved from a few YouTube series - all of these saves are either after their finales or the latest episode. I'm not entirely sure which update all of them are from, but they should all work in the current version of the game! Adam's Quest - Slot0.nichesave Ancient Legends Challenge - Slot3.nichesave Whale Island Discoveries - Slot1.nichesave Hard Mode Rebirth - Slot2.nichesave Lone Wolf Challenge - Slot2.nichesave Islands of Discord - Slot3.nichesave The last two have definitely been saved on the tester branch (1.1.7). ... Hope I did this right! Enjoy!2 points

Many polygamous male animals, mostly birds such as peacocks and birds of paradise, use color to attract many different females. This can also occur in female birds, like belted kingfishers or red phalaropes who have polyandrous, brighter females to attract many males. Since both male and female Nichelings have the option to be polygamous/ployandrous, I feel like yellow and red fur (the brightest fur colors and the ones with no camouflage) should add +1 attractiveness for nichelings. It would make sense that these colors have no camouflage since they are extremely bright, but this brightness can be of use. Each fur color gene will have +1 attractiveness, so for example, if a nicheling has two red genes, a red and yellow gene, etc, then they will have +2 attractiveness. If they have one red gene and a chestnut brown gene, for example, they'll only have 1 attractiveness. Some pictures just cause Brighter maleBrighter male Brighter female1 point

Uh... I think what you are suggesting is heterochromia, which means each eye is a different colour. I like this suggestion, however I'm pretty sure heterochromia has zero ties to behaviour or "distemper", so it would be a purely appearance-changing mutation in the game, just like it is in real life, if it were to be implemented.1 point
