I love birds! Birds are cool! (wait...) That is why I want more birds in the game. All we have right now are bluebirds, which are mean, and dodomingoes, which are cute but annoying. (That doesn't mean that none of the birds I am about to suggest are annoying however...) Considering that the jungle is practically devoid of fauna, and landscapes in general lacking in birds, I thought that colorful food sources flying from the treetops would be awesome to see! These may be harder to implement than the bluebirds though, because these birds will have to have both a 'perching' position and a 'flying' position. ANYway, here are some ideas that I have for different bird species. Most were inspired by North American bird species because those are what I know, but interpret them however you want. Let me know what you think! 1. The Roven, inspired by ravens and robins. The males are black and red, very protective of their territory and their mate. If you happen across 2 rovens fighting, stick around because one may kill the other, leaving you with free food! These birds are a bit smaller than bluebirds. When a nicheling attacks a female roven, it will call to attract a male roven, which will deal 1 damage to said nicheling. Like the Mocking Finch, these birds can sit in trees or fly around. Males are usually found in the air, but a female with a mate will usually be found collecting grass on the ground and then building a nest in a treetop, in a nest with eggs that hatch after 2 days. After another 2 days, the birds will leave the nest to become adult rovens. They are found in swamp and grassland biomes and drop 8 food. The eggs are worth 1 food point each. In order for a nicheling to kill it in one hit, it must have at least 3 strength. Stats: +2 eyesight, +1 hearing, +1 smelling, +2 flying, +2 speed, +1 collecting, +1 digging, +1 insect collecting, +1 strength, 2. The Mocking Warbler. Inspired by the Tropical Mockingbird and Prothonotary Warbler. Okay, this one is kind of annoying. It is slightly smaller than the rovens and it steals berries and roots. But this bird is best known for its deceptive calls. It can replicate any in-game sound effect, which can lure or scare away different entities, including prey, bearyenas, and wanderers, depending on the sound. Its regular call is a series of reedy, high pitched chirps. They are often found perching in a tree or pecking at the ground. Flying nichelings can attack it while it is sitting in the tree or when it is in the air, like a bluebird. Nichelings who cannot fly can attack it when it is on the ground, but they are harder to catch. It gives 5 food. It takes a nicheling with 2 or more strength to kill it in one hit. It is found in the grassland, jungle, and swamp biomes. Stats: +2 eyesight, +1 hearing, +1 smelling, +3 flying, +2 speed, +1 collecting, +1 digging, +1 insect collecting, (can gain other bonus stats such as attractiveness or strong voice depending on mocking call used) 3. The Wrush. Inspired by wrens and thrushes. A tiny, quick and shy bird that is slow on the ground but rarely found down there. He is usually found hiding in trees and occasionally will flitter to nearby trees and collecting the nuts and seeds from the tree. They are found in the grassland biome, and the forest biome if that gets added (the other birds above would be found in the forest too). They drop 3 food. Nichelings must have at least one point of strength to kill it in one hit. Stats: +2 eyesight, +1 hearing, +1 smelling, +4 flying, +1 speed, +1 collecting, +1 digging, +1 insect collecting 4. Pearons! A peafowl and great blue heron mix. They are found wading along the the shores of the jungle and grassland, and all throughout the swamp biome, where they are most common. Their long heron necks allow them to eat snails off of mangrove trees from the ground. They are also exceptional fishers, which is why they are so often found by the shore. Males have a showy display to attract females, who will then seek out a nest by the shore to lay her eggs, like the dodomingo. Females sitting on eggs will get defensive if you try to approach them, and after giving a warning screech, will give you a sharp peck! They live 10 days and drop 8 food when killed. Their eggs are worth 2 food each. Stats: + eyesight, +1 hearing, +1 smelling, +2 flying, +1 speed, +1 collecting, +4 fishing, +2 strength 5. Owgles. A nocturnal creature that makes its moves at night, like the predators. They are very stealthy with their quiet wings, and have exceptional eyesight. Every night they come out and grab a nearby rabbil, stagmole, or unprotected baby nicheling, and then retreat back into their hidden tree. They live in forests, or grasslands and mountain biomes with more than a few trees, so you have to scout out and find them. They live for 20 days and drop 10 food when killed. Stats: +4 eyesight, +1 hearing, +1 smelling, +5 flying, +2 strength I'm also thinking about a savanna-specific bird, that lives on a cactus! And super colorful tropical jungle birds! That's it for now! If you have any other great ideas for species of birds, please share! Forest biome! Go upvote it if you haven't already!3 points

Yes, I finally jumped on the bandwagon. I want to improve my art and are currently doing it by drawing a certain animal/ theme every week. (This week/ last week was cat time). So tomorrow I'll start my Nicheling week. Only 5 slots are currently open. I'll let you guys know when I have more time/ space for more requests. You don't need to have a picture of your Nicheling, of course you'll have to describe their genes if you don't have one. If you want to include a quick personality description you can do that to, but I won't make promises to follow it ^^ (just take it as inspiration). The pieces also may vary, depending on if I have time for a detailed background or not. 1. mr.j.williams 2. Larouxia 3. SilverTheNicheling 4. I love the huge divide between niche players and nimbatus players, its like seeing a rare animal in the wild with their "hydraulic thrusters!!1!!1!!! friction!!!111!1!" talk and then theres the niche players who are just like: "this nicheling looks cute lets make it a country for it to rule and do some art of it and enter it into a beauty contest" I have huge respect for you all who play nimbatus as much as I do niche, like niche has some science-y parts that require some though but nimbatus is just a blur of engineering things to me3 points

Please note that 'Chasma' comes from Chasmaporthetes, the species that this head is based on. Unlocked Via: Iceberg, Inviting a creature with this gene in (Savannah/Whale Island Only) +1 Speed (As It is Aerodynamic), +1 Cracking (Hyenas -of which a Chasmaporthetes is- can crack bone), +2 Smelling (All Heads, with the exception of a few, have this) Examples with Black/White (Grey) Fur W/ Black Dots, White/Red (Pink) Fur W/ Grey Stripes, and Red Fur W/ Grey Mask.3 points

Thanks guys. I am really looking forward to this. @Renio2490 wasn't there a pic of prince in the racoon gaze post? @bostonlobstah are you sure you want me to do expressions? That could end really badly XD (apart from angry I don't think I ever tried giving Nichelings proper epxressions (of course I'll try my best)) @Skysplash8 I'll keep you in mind for next time, maybe I can fit Meringue in somewhere. I wanted to draw him some day anyway (he has really become famous ^^)3 points

I remember when I first when to the mountain biome, I thought my flying nichelings would be able to perch on the pine trees...but they can't? I think that perching on pine trees would be a nice addition to the game, because.....why not? And my owlges would need somewhere to sit too! I also agree with the suggestion below, except I think that all winged creatures should be able to perch on smelly fruit trees! ...And last but not least, the Jungle Trees. Yes, I know you can perch on the side branch thingies, but wouldn't it be SO COOL to have a bunch of nests on the TOP of the tree, since the branches extend out so far! And if it's an ape tree, you'll find an ape up in the tree, and he will start attacking and come down on the next turn.2 points

First off I'd like to say that this challenge has made me hate defender bears even more, while my love for the peaceful bear has grown (he's still really creepy though). We start off with adorable little Mitalen. We are also really lucky, since we have a berry bush right next to us! We pick a lot of berries, then Mitalen decides to search for a mate. And we find Vannu. Mitalen and Vannu mate. I'm happy that it works despite his bad fertility. We have found a really nice place with lots of food! We find another wanderer, Raolur. He's absolutely adorable and I want to have scorpion tale, so he gets invited. He even discovers a permanent nest. Mitalen gives birth to her baby. It's a girl. Uh-oh. We find another wanderer who we take in. We plan on using him as a meat shield. Also, someone got murdered. I think it was Vannu? Even more fun: We search the spiky bodied wanderer, since we need a new meat shield. Here she is: Please don't kill us, defender bear. Also, say hi to Mitalen and Raolur's baby boy. Great, another one. Our meat shield has died, but a new one has arrived! Also, passively aggressive defender bears. Both kids and the meatshield die, Mitalen gives birth to her third baby who has his mom's horns. Another defender bear appears, but he doesn't seem to have a problem with us. New pack member and potential meat shield! Hi Koriis. Mitalen gives birth to Milyra. She has an adorable pattern! Koriis gives birth to Elre. Sadly, she doesn't have her moms body nor her colour. Gaaah, more bearyenas. They killed Raolur, who sacrificed himself. Koriis gets killed, Milyra as well, the clan runs towards the right. Mitalen adopts little baby Elre, and hides in the grasses to give birth to Raresi. Her now adult son has fled even further. A dumb rogue male mates with Mitalen. We are still on the run and try to stay close to the peaceful bear. Elre has joined Nokir and they discover and invite Talurrao. Mitalen gives birth to her rogue child, with the bearyena lurking in the background. A derpsnouted female wanderer is around, but we don't invite her. Mitalen dies, her daughter Raresi tries to save her baby brother, but he only has one movement and gets killed. She finds a baby named Kolen and decides to adopt her and care for her.Meanwhile, Elre has grown up and wanders of to start a family with the yellow wanderer Talurrao. But she gets impregnated by a rogue male first. She gives birth to her rogue son Kirro. Raresi gets impregnated by a rogue male too, while she and Kolen travel back to the original camp. Elre gives birth to her second baby, this time with her actual mate. Rifiel is cute, though I am wondering where the cracker jaw came from. So, remember the derp snouted baby wanderer that we didn't invite? She actually turned up at Nokir's place (Mitalen's only surviving son) we invited her and when she grew up the two mated. Now, a new, absolutely gorgeous, wanderer has arrived. Isneme has both nimble fingers and claw, not to mention her beautiful pattern, eyecolour and horns. Naturally, she gets invited as well. She also mates with Nokir. Meanwhile, Raresi gives birth to her rogue baby. He's not that bad, so we decide to keep him. Nokir's first baby gets born. Lurtadon is frickin adorable (I love long snouts) and his ram horns are a nice surprise, not to mention his pretty fur. Elre's family makes their way towards the main camp. Kolen becomes an adult and mates with...Nokir! A bearyena appears and murders Talurrao (Elre's yellow wanderer mate). Elre who is still pregnant runs away, while her kids try to do the same. The bearyena murders baby Rifiel, while her brother manages to get away. Elre gives birth to another cracker jaw baby whom she names Raodon. Meanwhile our beautiful Isneme gives birth to gorgeous Relen. Absolute chaos ensues at the other half of the camp. The bearyena runs after my beautiful yellow ram horn baby Lurtadon. A defender bear follows him, but is useless so far. Three rogue males have spanned. Nokir jumps next to his son and gets killed instead of him. The defender bear finally catches up with the bearyena. The bearyena get's himself stunned and the defender bear decides that this doesn't interest him anymore. Kolen gives birth to her gorgeous son Kirvan. As you can see on the right side of the picture, another bearyena has appeared right next to Elre's remaining family. We build a nursery and two babies get born. Anamiel looks nothing at all like her brother, as she has her mom's derp snout, the same black fur and a water body out of nowhere. He could be from Mitalen. The other baby, Nekoly, is again a rogue male baby. On the other side, the bearyena has killed Elre and her cracker jaw son, leaving only her first born rogue male kid alive. Kolen finds the pack a new male. Donkannu has terrible fertility, but a claw and ram horns. Lareis gets born, just as beautiful as her mother. I'm honestly really surprised that I managed to survive until now. I think one of my favourite things about this challenge is that you're never really save. Bearyenas can always appear and kill you. The other thing is that so many babies die. I think this makes the gameplay way more realistic. Also, how the hell did I manage to never get a sickly baby that died right after being born?2 points

(tries to keep self from screaming) Of course! You can also change some things if you want, like shortening the adult lifespans or something. You can of course start on a different island and travel wherever you want, though personally I'd have a rule like 'no breeding on easy islands' so you can't stay out for danger for too long 🙂2 points

oof this brings back memories.. from about 4-10 I basically had an eternal cold, with varying levels of severity lmao. come to think of it I haven't gotten too sick in a while but sometimes I get so ill from colds, you know when they get so bad you literally can feel how weak you are on the inside? yeah its like that. the bad part is most the time ill feel fine, get home, sit down for a bit and the second I eat, bam. ill. then I just do everything I had to do and go to bed I hope you get better!! ❤️2 points

I have named the Platopus Smoke and the Batty boy Franky. The whims have decided to have Smoke be the Patriarch. Tribe size goes down to 8. Ladybug starved to death. Rade died of his illness. Lurer has been born. He is Smokes younger brother, and quite adorable! He looks a lot like his father, but with better paws. Kuta has died of his illness. We only have 6 nichelings and Talonisi is the only female left. She decided to mate with Roki a crippled, Scorpion tail wanderer we just invited in. Roki recieves White Pattern from the whims and Nimble Fingers from me. The good news is its a girl, unfortunately baby Star is half crippled, and did not get the Nimble fingers or Scorpion tail. We really need food, so its time to start colecting. Nico has died of starvation. Roki has invited in a female Teen with scorpion tail and Wing! Her name is DeeDee. Might need to mate her with everyone soon. Roki mates with her as soon as she comes age. DeeDee recieves Digging Paw from the Whims and Purr Snout from me. Couple of things just happened. First we have this Beautiful, Pink Peacock Tailed Boy. The son of Deedee and Roki. Roki died of old age right as he was born. I need a name for him. @bostonlobstah Do you have any names for PINK Peacock boys? Moving on, a nasty red rouge attacked DeeDee right as she was gunna mate with Smoke, who was just attacked by a Beareyna. Need to have and banish this rouge baby fast cause we don't have room for more now. Also, Lurer and his half sister Star have become mates. Lurer gets Purr Snout from the whims and Nimble fingers from me, Star gets No Melanism from the Whims and Nimble Fingers from me.2 points

I suggest borrowing a few features from real life microchips to make Nimbatus logic smaller and more straightforward. Take it from the people who have to build it in real life, they know how to keep things simple. Output Enable - Nearly every real chip and sensor more complex than a NAND gate has at least one "OE" pin. Why? It's so convenient! Imagine two proximity sensors on the same key, how to choose which one gets listened to? In Nimbatus that needs three gates - two AND gates plus an inverter. With real devices, you'd just turn one sensor off. Inverted Outputs - I'm not the first to ask for this and I know why -- half my logic is inverters! There's no logic simplification for A&!B. I always wish I had inverted outputs for: Proximity sensors Direction indicators Toggle switches Speedometers Altitude Indicators Impulse Drivers Fuel Tanks Actually -- anything and everything with outputs, no exceptions Complementary Outputs - Just an 'invert this output' checkbox isn't enough. All too often we need both outputs simultaneously. You see this all the time in real microchips. Look up "flip flop". Inverted Inputs - Given complementary outputs, there's extremely few places inverted inputs are still be needed, but the adjustable-strength engine is one. I can never get that thing working quite right. I'd ask for separate invert/not invert checkboxes for the throttle up and throttle down options. Either that, or more consistent behavior when both inputs are activated. Heck, how about both? And now, a few basic parts I'd suggest adding. I want to keep them simple. I don't want to replace all the stuff people are building, just let them build things with fewer parts and especially, build things they couldn't before. Monostable Multivibrator - A "triggered impulse driver' which delivers only one pulse per activation. Jumper/Bus - A buffer that drives many output keys together. What for? "When you see the whites of the enemy's eyes, FIRE ALL ENGINES!" R/S Flip Flip - Similar to the on/off switch, with complementary outputs and more consistent behavior. It's the one and only piece of logic needed for a basic 2-engine, 2-sensor wall follower! And now, more esoteric things I know won't make it in the game but I'm hopeful for anyway because they're impractical to build right now: Priority Encoder - Suppose you have two sets of input, a direction indicator A B for 'move towards enemy' and a pair of proximity indicators C D for 'goodness the edge of the ring looks rather close'. They control the same steering engines D E. You can't use output enable for this, because you can't ignore the edge sensor when the bell tolls for thee. The logic is something awkward like E=((A|B)&A)|(!(A|B)&C), F=((A|B)&B)|(!(A|B)&D), 9 gates, 7-8 if you cheat. Even if it was a 2x3 part I'd save space. Binary Counter - Toggle-switches aren't good enough, a counter made from those causes glitches. A real, synchronous, one-part counter of just 2 or 3 bits would save a lot of hair-pull. Binary 1-of-4 Decoder - To use with the binary counter. It'd replace the "stop lights" I build from delay lines and xor gates. What for? Imagine this sequence: Charge pulse engine attached to dynamite. Decouple dynamite. Fire pulse engine. Detonate. Master-Slave Flip Flop - Kind of like a switch which can only change the instant its 'enable' input is activated. The thorniest glitches sometimes require these to solve them. They're a basic part in digital electronics, but want a ridiculous number of gates to make - at least nine per bit. Nine. Not to mention how slow they'd be built from basic parts, they'd take a handful of game ticks to respond.1 point

I don't watch JessiMew, I've only seen a few videos of hers, but I'm going to start now so I can see her playthrough of your challenge! Seri has replied to me quite a bit of times, mostly because I've been on the channel so long, plus after all these years she recognizes me so I'm bound to have at least a few. She actually showcased fanart of mine in a recent stream (not niche), she complimented me and everything it was so cool haha. Same with JayPlays, she usually always replies to my comments since she doesn't get too many (yet). I'll try to get some screenshots and edit them into here later! yes i liked my own comments but only because they were hearted and replied to okay, I do it on special occasions lol1 point

TW: Mentions of- Cannibalism, Stalking. This Goddess is very dark, and the tribe she belonged to was starving. I do not condone any of the things mentioned in the article below. Kolael 'The Stalker Goddess' Goddess of War // Ledem Pantheon Lemon Demon - Sweet Bod In the Ledem Pantheon, any believer would know that having Kolael reincarnated in your tribe is a death sentence of the worst kind. Stories are passed down, all more terrible than the last- telling tales of how the saber-toothed nicheling stalked her mates, or ate her tribes leaders alive. Kolael knows all of these rumours, and relishes in them- a war god, no matter the gender, should inspire fear and terror into their subjects. A war god should make them hate war. A war god should make their subjects terrified to call upon them. And in that regard, she is a very good goddess.1 point
