  2. Hi. Didn't post here before since it looked like a Niche forum but I guess its not. I build tricky things in Nimbatus. I'm very opinionated. But I don't mean any harm by it. I just enjoy the vigorous exchange of ideas a little too much. I post here when work is slow - sometimes here a lot, sometimes busy for weeks or months. And ... that's about it I think?

Here is how you can get the preview build on steam: – Open your Steam library– Right click on Nimbatus in the Steam library– Select Properties / Beta– Select the Beta tab – Enter imadeabackup as password to unlock the preview branch– Select Preview_0.7.0 from the drop down – Restart steam in case the game does not update automatically or you can't see the preview branch Patchnotes New Features Drone Skins can now be rotated Added Piston part that can be extended and retracted Added 4 new travel events Added option to transfer all drones from a campaign save to the creative mode on game over Reworks Reworked mineral persistency, instead of having a display of the percentual mined amount we now store where you already collected it. Reworked Shop UI Improved travel event scenes with proper assets New icons for resources New icon for Heavyweight Added Basic Blaster as starter weapon in creative mode Removed max stack size limit for parts Changed name of “Health” to “Hull” Added tool tips for Hull and Threat display Changed the way physics joints compare the mass between parts.   5. I'm here, and I DID end up finding the elk herd. After a long time. I followed the scent all the way to some tracks that were about 4 hours old, and followed those tracks all the way to the elk. At least the herd wasn't in Wapiti Territory

  7. *shrugs* I mean, a bit of my art style (the snout and the eye highlights) are inspired by a youtuber called pinkbunnygirl43. I think that's sorta what an art style is, looking at other people's drawings, figuring out what you like and dislike about it, and going from there.

Dear pack As you know the Sandbox Settings Update has recently been released on the main branch, yay Now you may be wondering what comes next for Niche, so we wanted to give you a little update! There won't be any big new updates for the PC game in the coming months. However we have 2 cool things to share with you ^^ 1) We are currently working on a prototype to bring a brand new game set in the Niche universe to mobile! These are very early mockup screenshots. The game focuses less on survival and more on breeding. Please note however that we will only finish and release this game if we think we can make something very cool out of it and its still too early to tell. Larissa is the game designer and artist for the Niche mobile game. Here you see her (left) playing the paperprototype with me 2) We're currently trying to port the game to Switch! For that we need a frozen version, which means we can't really update the game for now (except for bug fixes). Please note that here again nothing is 100% sure yet! It might be a bit early to share all this with you, since the outcome of both projects is still uncertain. However we wanted to tell you what we're currently working on

Imagine a part that based on the direction it is placed measures the acceleration or speed of it, and when it reaches a certain value (set in the editor) does a keypress, like the speed sensor but for 1 direction, because the speed sensor is just speed and not speed in a certain direction. this has many practical applications, such as smart stabilization systems, that will apply counterthrust to forces like gravity and pushing from a direction, or to slow down vertical ascent when going too fast, etc.

  29. Yes, @STM. The latest changes to the batteries (and fuel tanks) are, that there are three sizes which recharge and one which has a lot of capacity but does not recharge. We might improve that system/add more variety in the future. And thank you again for playing and giving feedback. Very happy that you like the changes so far

  31. Kudos to the team! I just played the campaign for about 3h and i like the progress the game has made! It's been a while since i last played, so maybe i missed the change... But shouldn't the supercapacitor refill after all batterys are fully charged?

  38. I think you mean Niche, I move it to the correct forum. @Ilikecats192 The first thing I would try is setting the Animal pattern resolution in the graphic settings to the lowest setting. This will reduce the amount of memory Niche uses and can help with some crashes. If this does not help I'd need the lopgfile to see whats the problem.
