Hey folks! This week we submitted our applications for a gouvernement art grant to hopefully get a bit of financial support from them for our new games. (That's also the reason why you will hear us greeting a jury in the beginning of these videos xD) We thought you guys might be curious to see what we've been working on (besides making Nimbatus updates and working on the Niche console port) too! Thanks! We also just confirmed that Stephanie (who did all the cool Niche promo artworks and the animated trailer) will be helping out with artwork for the Niche mobile game! Mostly by painting the background and giving advice on colors and such ^^ She is also the lead artists for Nyoma (the game you see in the first video). This is some concept art she did, she's amazing!

I am playing 0.7.4. I had not playing race mode. Today, I want to try it. I created my drone making use of testflight (using TestRace mode). My drone barely good in there (because of my inexperience). But, when I try to real race, I saw air resistance is different. Much more resisting than testflight. Soo... My drone could not win any race. Also, it was not going smooth because of air resistance. I guess this is a kind of bug? Dear pack As you know the Sandbox Settings Update has recently been released on the main branch, yay Now you may be wondering what comes next for Niche, so we wanted to give you a little update! There won't be any big new updates for the PC game in the coming months. However we have 2 cool things to share with you ^^ 1) We are currently working on a prototype to bring a brand new game set in the Niche universe to mobile! These are very early mockup screenshots. The game focuses less on survival and more on breeding. Please note however that we will only finish and release this game if we think we can make something very cool out of it and its still too early to tell. Larissa is the game designer and artist for the Niche mobile game. Here you see her (left) playing the paperprototype with me 2) We're currently trying to port the game to Switch! For that we need a frozen version, which means we can't really update the game for now (except for bug fixes). Please note that here again nothing is 100% sure yet! It might be a bit early to share all this with you, since the outcome of both projects is still uncertain. However we wanted to tell you what we're currently working on

I have been playing Nimbatus in a while. Trying some new stuff. But I found it difficult. Today, I watched this video and I shocked. I had not understood Tag feature but this video teached me that. And, I am much more comfortable now while creating drones. And I saw a lot of youtubers (and, maybe, other players) does not know Tag features. For example, I have not seen Lathland use it. I suggest that tag system have to add tutorials. Soo, new players can capable of learn that.

I wanted to do a sketch of what one of the deformed faces could’ve looked like and dear god that was a mistake

Something I've wished for ever since I lost my first baby Nicheling to a wandering Bearyena is the ability to pick up baby Nichelings and move them as long as they have one gem or less. That way, a parent could move them to safety in case of danger. I've also wondered what would happen if there were a random event that might happen when a young Nicheling is taken by a bird. Instead of being taken, they just lose a lot of their life span and are left with the "bleeding" debuff if their strength is high enough? Other things that I think would be cool to implement include, but are not limited to, a breeding season (increases rogue male spawn rate, baby Bearyena spawn rate, and general fertility of Nichelings for a short time every so often?), an elder stage (where breeding becomes impossible? The breeding option could just be greyed out with the message "this animal is too old to breed."), and new genes to eat the bark off trees. Trees could also be used to claim territory by marking them with claws or antlers? This might discourage the spawn rate of wandering Nichelings and increase the spawn rate of predators? Another gene I'd like to see is an underwater "smelling" gene. It wouldn't have to be a nose, but it could be a more fish-like sensory organ. There could also be an antennae in the antler slot to act as a smelling buff, if Nichelings were to develop bug-like genes.
