Ever since the devs have announced the development of Nyoma, I've been thinking about the creatures in that world. The mamsects as they're currently called. Mammal, insect hybrids. It seems I'm not alone as well as quite a few others talked about/drew potential mamsects. This is kind of a place to talk about mamsects, or other parts of the game. Anyways I was thinking a Praying Mantis Cougar hybrid would look neat. I think it's name would either be a Mountain Mantis or a Praying Puma. I think it'd act as a sort of predator, or obstacle in the game. Kind of like a bearyena, but less deadly. I have few ideas in ways it might act. It certainly wouldn't be friendly though. 1.Every now again, a numanling would be snatched up by one of these. The event would be random. The critter would be camouflaged against a tree, as its colors are meant for. This version is similar to how a Praying Mantis hunts 2. They would defend an den, or a territory. If a numanling came too close, it would attack them. This version is similar to a cougar defending its young, or territory. 3. In a random event this critter would pop out, and try to scare numanlings away from their structures/home. To fend it off, the numanlings would just have to not run and more gather in a tight group. This version is similar to a cougar trying to scare away a wolf pack.8 points

I hope that this wasn't already done, I didn't know what to call this or what to look at search. The problem: the game tells some of your nicheling has parasites... But which one? The camera will focus on in some animal, but it would still help to know witch one if you already moved. Also, sometimes I "lost" nicheling. I move them in the river or and in the next turn I forgot that they are there because I can't see them. A few turns later I maybe notice that someone is missing (or get a message about parasites and then wonder who it is). The solution: status list of nichelings. It would list all of your animals and show their status. So Eve is pregnant, or Adam has parasites. Also, if you would click "Adam", it would search Adam in the map. If there's room, maybe it could show if your nicheling has moves left, so you could check the list before going to next turn. I think this place would be in the right side, where the messages are now (messages could be in the right up corner). Maybe you could see status screen when you click your animal number and then hide it the same way, so if you don't use it, it isn't in the way. I think this would help when searching nichelings and when you need to see easily which nicheling have some status.3 points

I hope the situation with your boyfriend turns out alright. Things like that can be one draining fight, and when already battling depression, just too much. Thanks for letting us know you're still there, though. You don't have to deal with the forums too, but it's nice to hear from you.3 points

I've been on this forum for over 2 years about. I am a vet tech student. I am 19 years old. I have a fiancé. I've watched the development of the game since it earliest days. I am a huge animal lover. I want to start a bird sanctuary. The sanctuary will be mostly for meat/egg chickens who escaped death and for chickens who need a good home. I have 8 chickens, 3 dogs, 2 parakeets, male betta fish, dozen tropical fish and 2 goldfish. My chickens are like children. They constantly need attention and give lots of love.2 points

if/when nyoma comes out I can say to all the fans it's gonna get: "you were there since launch day? well I was there since the first art of it was released like 4 years ago and then after we all got to see a tiny clip of the gameplay prototype (not this trailer, the one you showed us before), sucker!!!"1 point

Also just a side note I'd love to see a developer playthrough of Niche. I it never hurts to play your own game. (Maybe you can teach us even more about genetics, certain strategies, and why you added certain features as you do it :3)1 point
