Hello! I'm Skydra, I've been playing Niche for 1-2 years with 400+ hours on Steam (Still haven't made it to Home Island though ;-;) I decided to come on here to just have fun and find some new challenges since I'm terrible at thinking up stuff like that XD. Anyway, I hope I have a good time here and meet some new friends 😄

any of you ever had a pet duck before? no? pfft, losers no but seriously-i have a pet duck. my mom's friend just kinda dumped him here and said 'heres your new son' for the first couple days i had to keep him in a box while we set up a place for him, and i just kinda. put a bowl of water on my bed for him to swim around in (thats what the picture is) hes in a much bigger space now-we take him out everyday to go swim in the koi pond in our backyard because, y'know, duck we were gonna get him a friend since birds are really social-buuuuttttttt the place was outta ducks. so what did my mom do? bought two chickens. he now has two sisters and is very protective due to an....incident, his leg got messed up, but we took him to the vet and it wasnt broken or anything. doing a lot better now my house is absolutely filled with birds, me and my friend found a nest of swallows-three of the chicks were dead and the last one was barely hanging on. it was obvious the poor little guy wasnt gonna make it outside, so we brought him in. little guy barely has any feathers, we're feeding him until he can actually fly so yeah. im a bird lady now apparently i dont actually have any pictures of Noodle and Velvet (the chickens), but i'll take some later when its not 4:00 am

I'm trying to think of what Rosie and Glacier's babies would look like. They could have one that is gray, pure dark red, or one of their fur colors. Also Rosie has recessive peacock tail and which Glacier having hammer tail, there's a good chance of that showing up. Also I think it will either have dots or solid. Pattern color will be interesting. I think they be good parents

The he gets to the shore, Glacier and Rosie tell him about their plans. This is good right? This is what he wanted. If he shipped them from the beginning then why does he feel sad? Maybe he feels think he's losing his friends. BUT, if him being ok with it will make then happy, then he will be ok with it.

It's very annoying, when you're doing a challenge, where you can only go to, for example, snowy islands and there's no snow port. So when you want to do a challenge like that, you choose a biome in the sandbox customization menu and now all the ports in that save will lead to that biome. Guess who's been watching Seri's newest Niche series!

It started small- a child with shortsighted eyes or webbed hind legs. It got bigger- derp snout, blind, double deformed paws, webbed hind legs... Now it seems your tribe is doomed. This must be Vankir's curse... -Make 4 creatures- each carries or has one of the following genes active - blind eyes, derp snout, webbed hind legs, deformed paw. -Start on any island -This is story based- you are encouraged to roleplay and write -If a child is born without any of the genes mentioned above, they are 'blessed' and must have at least 10 children in their lives. If not, give half the tribe double deformed paws and the other half shortsighted eyes. You may spare X Nichelings- X is the amount of children the Blessed One had. -Your goal is to have 100 children born without any deformities or sickness, then survive with at least one of them for 1000 days. -Any island, any settings -Show me your playthroughs

We want the mobile game to be more attachment friendly, in the end! We're going to have retirement system, so you can either send Nichelings away like now, or you can retire them. You will then still have them in your collection, they will just not live on the meadow (but they will stay close 😋)

@FawnCat Here are some additions to the questions @Philo already answered ^^ : 1) Will there be notifications in the future so you know when you niche are finished hunting/sleeping/healed? Jup there will definitely be pop up in game to inform you about events (like encountering wild Nichelings or a baby being born) as well as push notifications (which appear on your phones locked screenand the top bar), but likey ou already mentioned, you will be able to toogle the on or off depending on whether you want them or not 2) I don't know if this will or even can be implemented but can you show where the wild Niche pop up at a different location? Even just a small title under the rocks that says it's where your encountered niche will appear would help. Like mentioned above we will have a pop up that tells you you met a wild Nicheling, so you won't miss any! We also plan on havin g a proper tutorial, which will tell you that the leaves are pack nests and the rocks are spots where wild Nichelings wait. 6) Can the locked nest show when you can unlock it? (Example: By color change; the picture of the locked lock being unlocked; a notification) You mean it should look different once you required the needed level? Yeah we can do that. Yes it is the plan to show better if it is unlocked or not! 7) Will there be a tutorial or just a help button with a 'Book' that shows you what everything is? (Because I know some people skip the tutorials) Like mentioned above, we plan on having a proper tutorial that introduces you to the game and takes you through it step by step. We also want to have a help button to play the tutorial again, as well as many tips that you will get while playing the game. Some more Questions: 1) In the game. At the top in the middle is a picture of an Island with the level, what exactly does it mean? (I at first thought it was the world level but it wouldn't have the same icon as the island icon.) It actually is the world level! It isn't clear enough, I see. Do you maybe have any suggestions how it would be clearer, that it is the world level? 2) Will there be more breeding nests in the future? (I'm assuming that some breeding will take more time as we go on in the game and explore more Biomes) We are thinking about different waay to have more breeding nests, yes! One thing that we will definitely implement is a "retirement" function. You will be able to retire Nichelings instead of sending them away. These retired Nichelings will be in a different part of the home island, where they're just hanging out ^^ We will probably make it so you can call them back from retirement to your meadow in exchange for some food.

Ahhh, this is really exciting! It would be great to see Niche reach new platforms - and the mobile mockups look so cute already! ;o; Here's hoping it succeeds, I would love to see what you guys come up with!

OOH! Sounds cool! I think a mobile version would be awesome, but it may be hard to make it as interesting without the survival involved. But I could be wrong....seeing the new babies is my favorite part! I have an idea....a niche BOARD GAME! XD

This is amazing! I can totally understand why the upcoming sandbox update will probably not be that big but this is still an amazing peace of work. Maybe the devs will even use it for future reference
