  3. Decided to test a myth from the og post: Can Adam's children find Eve even after he's dead? (Sorry for the bad quality, was too lazy to actually take a screenshot After using the increasespawn playeranimal command a lot, I bred Adam with a normal wanderer and then sent his children off to find Eve. And they succeeded! I believe the question was originally asked by Lilyturf.

  4. this is my first time posting to the fanart channel, and here in general honestly. i wanted to upload some of my older artworks (first 3) along with a picture i made today (4th) of some of my favorite nichelings ive been trying to get back into drawing after having a long period of feeling too tired to work, so hopefully this wont be the last of me for a while. i got a lil lazy on todays picture, my creatures on my current save are beautiful flying ones that took forever to breed that are a lot more detailed than i drew, but its okayy

  8. Nah, they don't. They only go once they've mated with a female, but if that female or another pregnant female comes up to them, they'll just wander around them, not really avoiding them. I've also had this happen in another playthrough, where one of my poor children who I forgot to move for 5 or more days got preggo by a rogue. I tried moving her to a nest and the rogue just kinda followed her, but also didn't pay any attention to her. Nope, they can't breed with wanderers. I'm not sure if this rogue was just really weird and didn't want to breed, but I'm assuming that's not the case. I originally thought that maybe a rogue could just never get to a female wanderer, but that's not the case either. I trapped a rogue with a wanderer whose genes I changed with the commands a bit so she wouldn't get away, but I don't think that broke the game in any way. Anyways, I trapped her and the rogue for a few turns/days, but he still didn't want to breed. Maybe I needed to give them space? I moved one of my females away a bit, but the rogue still wasn't breeding. There's also a bit more evidence that rogues can't breed with wanderers, in this video. The youtuber in the video, Jessimew, talks about how if she invites Skitty into the tribe, then the rogue might breed with her. Welp, myths busted, I guess. Have a good day/night!

  16. I've actually had this happen to me once on a casual playthrough! Yes, pregnant wanderers can give birth, but very rarely. I'm assuming in order for this to happen, there has to be food or a food source near a nest for them to sit on it (berry bush, root, meat, etc). Also, their children are actually a part of your tribe, so I guess that's neat. (Just noticed the baby in the picture probably has rlly good camouflage) Myth, now true!

  18. I had a phase during which I exclusively played on FL, tribe after tribe after tribe... Can't really remember my best but I do think it was at least around 50 days. Meanwhile I never play DJ, simply because I never find food and there's always stuff in the way.

  20. I got one for you. If you get a wander female pregnant does she ever give birth? (Of course without you inviting her into the tribe. I don't think she does but who knows maybe...)

  31. These two guys are Lobab and Zaramze and they literally pined for each other for half an eternity before realising they were in love. This is Ehraal, she is an awesome, smart prankster and also aromantic. I pulled her out of the trash and I love her more than live itself.

  34. I give anyone on the forums permission to use the volf for roleplays and ocs. The volf is a wolf with green fur and vine or flower markings. It is smaller than a wolf and very agile, being able to climb trees. They usually make nests in trees like birds, or burrow under trees to make small dens and put nests in them. Volfs usually have 1-3 pups at a time due to their small homes and limited resources. Most volfs are solitary, but there are a few instances where they make packs, but it is rather rare. Volfs have a lifespan of 7 years at most in the wild, but can live to 14 in captivity. Volfs go off on their own at 2 years old. Here is the base!

  37. These mixtures of ravens and parrots nest on a tree, in a small group of two to seven, with an average of three. Additionally there might be up to two Parraven chicks in the group. Depending on your actions, a group of Parravens might be friendly, neutral, or hostile towards your pack. Normally, they are neutral, which means that they will tolerate your critters - at least if you don't get on their nerves. They will hunt for rabbits in a large area around the tree and sometimes snatch nesting material from built nests, if nobody sits on them. They also attack predators sitting within two tiles from their tree. If you leave a baby unattended in this area (why would you do that?!), there is a chance that they might snatch it. If a critter stays directly beside their tree overnight, there is a small chance that they become hostile and attack it. There is a somewhat larger chance that they become hostile if you shake the tree and when you eat acorn. Sometimes there will be a hurt Parraven chick stranded near the tree. If you eat that, the Parravens will get hostile. A hostile Parraven group might attack anyone of your critters sitting in the above mentioned "predator zone", and snatch away your young, if they sit unprotected in the preying zone. And theft of nesting material becomes more frequent. And they might lead predators toward your pack. (random raven nest picture to break up this wall of text. Source: http://www.featheredphotography.com/blog/) You can also help that stranded Parraven chick by licking its wounds and leading it back to the tree, giving a very high chance of making that Parraven group friendly. For a smaller chance at befriending them, you can leave food or nesting material beneath the tree. A friendly Parraven group will occasionally bring you food or nesting material. They will still steal from you, but not as often. They will also warn you when there is a predator approaching, and if it is in range of the tree and too close to your pack, they might even attack the predator. If one of your critters near the tree has leeches, they will eat that leech. But they still won't allow you to take any acorns. Shaking the tree might turn them neutral again. However, they now won't snatch your young at all! Each Parraven can only attack once per day, making little damage, but there are multiple of them and you can't attack them back. Quills work though. If climbing legs/paws are added, you would be able to catch them on their trees. Regardless of relationship, they will be less than tolerant towards the blue birds, resulting in a smaller risk of unattended babies being snatched by blue birs, if they are in the Parraven's preying zone. If they babies are directly beneath the tree, the blue birds will only very rarely dare to take them. Concept Art, by MysticTopaz. Thank you! Discussion on how the alert might work specifically Some more elaboration on how Parraven territories could work Colour variants by biome? (Concept Art) So, what do you think?

  38. Having a tribe of 30+ animals makes performing tasks quite micromanagement heavy. Automation of animals could help with this problem. How about giving animals roles which allow them to perform interactions by themselves. For example you can assign an animal to be berry gatherer. Then each time when you end the day and the animal still has action points left, it will automatically collect berries when sitting next to a berry bush. Other roles could be hunter, defender, etc. This would make playing with big tribes more fun.

  39. +1 Cool idea, another role could be fisher, where animals angle nearby fish.
