After using the SwitchGender command and not exiting, the rogue (fe)male acted similarly to a normal rm (rogue male), except she didn't mind the males as much as a normal rm would. She sorta followed them, but she didn't always stay by their side. The same could be said for the females. Alright, so here is my headcanon for what exactly the player is in the world of Niche. A research drone sent by future humans to study life on an exoplanet. This is the reason why the Niche animals have portmanteaus of Earth animal names as names - those are what the human astrobiologists were reminded of. The genetics of the animals are close, but not quite, like that on Earth - for example, phenotypical changes are in at least one species much faster and more drastic than in any multicellular lifeform here. Those peculiar genetics are the point of the research this probe is conducting. The hexfield landscape is how the drone's systems maps the area. When you "control" the nichelings, you are actually just recording and logging their activities - the drone is able to interface with the nicheling's brains, which comes with the downside of only sensing what they sense as well as an aerial view from a satellite or atmospheric vehicle. It also means that you can't actually see the difference between "what they do" and "what I do". So, what do you think? Plausible?

Hi. I’ve been playing the new switch version and I noticed something. When I go to the mutation menu I can’t view genes that I haven’t unlocked yet, and I don’t know how far away I am from unlocking them. I might just have not seen something, but if you can’t see them, I think that feature should be added. Sorry if I wrote this in a confusing way.

Too lazy to put a screenshot, but basically, Rogue males don't change physically while you're normally playing, but in their nicheling card they're the correct age, except for the fact there are always 3 gems no matter the age. They'll also appear in the family tree the same way they look in the nicheling card, except for when they're consoled to be younger than 0 days, in which they end up just being really tiny adults. Meanwhile, when you first console a wanderer to be 0 days old, when you invite them in they'll have as many moves as they had before changing age. However, if you skip a day they'll have as many moves and gems as they're supposed to have. I'm also assuming when they're consoled to be below 0 days old, the same thing with rm's happens to wanderers.
