I feel like my entire existence on this forum has been wanting to steal/contribute to other people's ideas. Eh... that's how most communities are formed right? Anyway, I haven't played Niche in a while. My computer is going to be moved upstairs soon so I think that will make me play Niche more. And... I have depression! Like literally every teen on the face of the earth right now. First time I've been part of a majority in a long time. What else... I'm a writer with writers block (again like half writer on the face of the earth). I'm really active on Wolvden and Lioden right now. I've read all the good books in my house (1000s and 1000s and 1000s of pages worth) and I do not have the patience to suffer through an inadequate book. I'm homeschooled, and I have been for a long time. I'm Canadian. And I have 4 cats, listed by age they are; Mulan, Ember, Nectar & Honey. I'm also watching Silence of the Lamb(s) and don't want spoilers! Also, if you make fun of people with disabilities I WILL COME FOR YOU WITH BURNING RAGE, if I have the energy for it, cause you know, depression. And... Does anyone have the soundtrack for Niche? Is it worth it? I don't have it and am interested in getting it.

Once Voice had finished counting the flowers, he went over to a nearby crabbit. He lay down in the sand and smiled down at the creature. “Hi! What’s your name?” … “Don’t wanna talk? That’s okay! My name is Voice, and I’ll call you Daisy for now, okay?” … “Don’t worry, I won’t claw at ya. Do you want to come see the other creatures here? It’ll be fun!” … The crabbit clicked its pinchers together. “I’ll take that as a yes!” Voice leaned forward and carefully picked up the crabbit with his one arm, doing his best to balance on just his back legs. And off they go.

Ten young nichelings arrived on a strange island, their confusion high. Many of them had been exhausted from the journey, and started heading for higher ground. Welcome to the Lands of Leyah.

There’s pretty much nothing to note here, it’s just Tick, Tock, and Caramel staring out at the water. Just dudes being bros, amiright?

“Honeystain.” .. “What?” The two females stared at each other in silence. After a few heartbeats, the venom-fanged female cleared her throat. “I’m Honeystain. My name. Yup.” “Okay..? Uhm.. I’m Balance. Was there something you needed?” “You have a pretty name.” “Thanks… I’m going to get back to picking berries now.” Balance scooted away a bit before returning to trying to pick berries. Honeystain watched, not paying attention to the berries she was also trying to pick.

“One flower, two flower, three flower, four. How many flowers is there to adore?” “A lot. Are you really going to sit there and count all of the flowers?” They stared at each other in silence, and then the spotted male gave a sweet smile. “Yup! I’ll count all of the flowers and then tell mom how many I saw!” “Your mom’s gone. They’re all gone.” “Yeah… But we’ll find them again soon! I know we will!” “I highly doubt that. You can’t know something until you see it, dumbo.” “I’m not dumb..” “Sure, keep telling yourself that.” The male looked down at his paws for a few moments before lifting his head again. “I’m Voice! What’s your name?” “Why do you need to know?” The female narrowed her eyes, lifting her head a little higher to try and make herself look more intimidating. “I want to know so I can call you by your name!” “That makes sense, I guess… I’m Taste. Don’t wear it out.” “Alrighty! Nice meeting you, Taste!” Voice smiled and went back to counting his flowers. Taste rolled her eyes, then turned and walked away.

After some well-deserved rest, the young ones started clearing the area around them. While doing so, an orange-topped nicheling struck up a conversation. “Hey wing boy, what’s your name?” The winged male lifted his head and looked over, unfocused gaze unable to meet her eyes. “My name? I’m Zapp! What about you?” “Hook, daughter of Tripwire.” She turned her gaze to the orange female. “How about you?” “Hankar.” “That’s an.. Interesting name. Can either of you two pick berries?” Hankar shook her head, and Zapp silently raised his wings. “I’ll take that as a no. Well then, should we go hunt bunnils instead?” “One step ahead of ya!” Hankar turned and darted off into the grass, giving no time for a response. The other two quickly followed after, not wanting to be left in the dust.

Oh and the character isn't really affected by anything that happens to them. Their parents died in front of them when they were a kid? They're still a generally happy and friendly person with no mental issues. The owner might even say that the character is depressed or something, but it's never actually shown in the story.

I like the definition OSP gave It's basically a character where the entire narrative focuses on them. The character is the centre of their own universe, "the axis around which the narrative spins". The only purpose of the story is to make the character look good. The story serves the character, not the other way around

I think PincerClaw hit it on the head. They bend the laws of the universe and all the other characters kinda just orbit them. They're also kinda annoying because most of the stuff they do isn't what real people would do. They just feel fake and it's like the author is trying to make you pity them. One point I want to make is that I think girls get this label a lot more than guys, mainly because it was made for female characters. I think this is because those characteristics we use to identify sues, like kind, compassionate, and friendly, are terms that are thought of as "default female stuff". But when a guy acts this way it's seen as outside the "default" because men are supposed to be strong and not as emotional. One male character who comes to mind when I think of this is Aang from Avatar. (Also cool topic idea)

I think a Mary Sue could be defined as a character that doesn't follow the rules of the universe(s) they're in without any reason/a character that doesn't have any real flaws.

A character that is "perfect" as in has no flaws or weaknesses and way too many powers. Some people try to dodge the mary sue title by making their characters have a tragic backstory or giving them limitations like "can fly but only for 10 minutes at a time" but the character is still overpowered and boring, unless it's given an interesting consept and/or personality.

Holy moly that was my 1,000 post. I grew up so fast.

This brought out my extrovert size. I have the desire to be social

Just vibed very hard with a lobby. I was engaged to a cyan but they left me. (A purple started shipping us) Was a chance to release some chaotic energy. I picked a spot in the back of electric and called it my comfort zone. Green caught me hiding there and thought I was sus. Just hope they don’t beat themselves up for it

I also had dreams about flying and not being able to fly. In many dreams I try to go somewhere and try to fly but I can’t even though I know it’s a dream and get very frustrated. But is a couple of them I managed to fly. In one I was on a weird Chinese city and there I tried to fly. When I tried it I jumped like 10 stories high but only moved forward a few meters. So I made many of those strange jumps to try to move faster. In another one I was a clone trooper from Star Wars. I was in a shopping mall and it had many floors but in the center it had a large empty space from which you could look down to the first floor. I took a giant paper towel as some kind of cape and when I ran and jumped to the space I managed to fly kinda like superman. In one moment I was bored and noticed that in my clone armor I had some grenades. I was walking with my dad near the entrance of a shop and decided to throw the grenades. When they exploded many colorful cockroaches came out and I was amused by it.

Next niche dreams. (Not many of them) I remember one that looked like a comic where the island was collapsing or something like that and there was a small island with a lot of nichelings. Because the island was dissapearing some of them where on the water and one was on a floating thing you use to rest on the beach. But he was killed by an orca. Another one that was from today was that someone was posting on the forums a clash of clans movie and talking about all the types of cameras they had used. But when I saw the “movie” it was only a bad quality people doing nothing related to niche or clash of clans so I was very confused. Finally another was that is kinda sad for me is one that a good friend I had decided to talk to me again. And we made a zoom meeting and chatted in the niche forums.

Next with tsunamis In one dream I was alone on a creepy house near the beach and it was almost nighttime. I remember that the sea levels began to rise and the house was surrounded in water. Next, hundreds of green radioactive snails came out of the sea and into the walls of the house. In another dream I was on another country in a house also near the beach. But it was underground, when I came out of it there was a lot of damage and with my parents went to a restaurant that had crab. While we where going there we saw a tsunami far away destroying some houses. When we arrived I was going to take a bite out of the crab but before I could do it I woke up. Another one that is very old. I do not remember much, only that I was surfing a tsunami and it hit a town. Then I remember walking around the city that had sand everywhere. Another one was that I was on a large city, (for some reason my mind said it was Mexico DF even though it is very far away from the beach) I was on a high rise that was a hotel and there where many tall buildings. For some reason the water had big waves and began to erode the coast. Some hours later the erosion had reached the city and the waves splashed sand everywhere covering the buildings with a thic coating of sand. I moved to another hotel because the older one was in danger of collapsing due to the erosion.

I had so many dreams to tell. I will start with the politics related ones. It will only get weirder. There was the queen of UK on a 2 level trolley going around London, when suddenly the brakes failed and the vehicle began to move at high speeds downhill. They called Donald Trump and he sent many jets with misiles to shoot the queen and said something to her that I don’t remember. In another dream I was seeing the city where I live in from the sky, like from a plane. But the city looked different and had a t-shaped tower that was the government building, suddenly a WW-2 V1 nazi missile came flying and hit the tower. Next I hear the voice of the president talking about the misiles or something like that.

(Has this been suggested before?) Are the body sizes just not right? Are your nichelings too big or too small? Well, i have the solution. There is two ways you can do this. (DEVELOPERS, PICK ONLY ONE TO ADD) The first way, there will be an option in sandbox settings to change nicheling size. You can make them as small as a rabbil, or as big as a killer bearyena! Very simple, works for making the perfect animal nichelings. The other way would be a new gene slot, with size tiny, small, medium, large, and huge. This way would work for nichelings of all different sizes. For example, one nicheling could be absolutely HUGE, and the other tiny. Put them together, and you got a pretty much normal sized nicheling. However, the bigger the nicheling, the stronger.
