Honestly folks, it's enough. I don't find this funny anymore at all. It feels like most of you are just having fun, but it's really been too much in the past few days. While most of you are joking, it only takes one misunderstanding to result in a fight again. I've spent half my weekend checking in here, making sure nothing bad is happening. Please do me a favor and all calm down a bit. We can talk about everything, but I'd much much prefer to do this in a calm way.

An actual feeding and food transportation mechanic would be very interesting in my opiniion! It would add another layer of reality, complexity, and strategy!

it’s my 2-year anniversary here

We're currently porting Niche to Xbox and Playstation and need a frozen version for that. Once the porting is done, we will discuss in the team how to progress with Niche. Even if we decide not to release any more updates for the current game, we still very much appreciate people posting suggestions and voting. They help us to see what people would like to see in the game, which is useful for Niche Mobile (we actually implemented a few there!) and who knows, maybe we'll make a DLC or even a new Niche PC game at some point. I'm usually prototyping around when I have time ^^

They are going to be cute We have to order at least 500 to get them made, so this definetly needs a Kickstarter. We are currently at the 6th iteration (right plushie) and the left one was the 5th iteration. There might be a 7th one with the mouth slightly lower, but not sure yet. The whole process took about a year, crazy. Prototype -> feedback -> prototype ....

I love niche and actually have a youtube channel that I put up videos of me playing niche on (not a big thing, videos are'n't best quality and kinda a hobby). I got it back in like 2017 or 18 and played it for a while. I think my computer crashed at some point or something but there was a long time I didn't have it. Then I got it again on my new steam account and played storymode a while without recording, and then after a few months of not playing I decided to record me playing storymode and put it up on youtube cause I like to make stories with my niche creatures. But no I didn't join to advertise my youtube account lol (even though I read the rules and didn't see anything against promoting in there), I actually joined cause I have some suggestions for stuff to add to the game, and I love niche generally. So I'm gonna be checking things out and maybe making some game suggestions once I unlock that. Thanks for reading this and I hope I can contribute something to these forums

A bit of progress today: - Baby animals now inherit their parents' fur color - Baby animals now grow into children, then adults - Added a "stockpile" for food. Nichelings can gather food and place it there.

Just so you can see my perspective a bit, because I often see "so this not ok, but the other thing is" I'm not seeing everything! I check the forums frequently and browse around to make sure everything is ok, but by no means see all edits, comments, etc. So unless somebody contacts me or reports things, I'm often not aware of them. And please remember that everybody can report things, not just mods!

I was looking through procreate and saw something I drew last week. I have a question... how did I go from terrible trash, to okay trash in a week??? I also barely drew at all this week except for yesterday/today when I drew Ranboo. Last week Today

Funfact: I've wanted to make a game with plant creatures for a while now And this really reminds me of that! It would be a survival/simulation game (because what else??) where you have to manage a colony of plant creatures that live both in the ground and on the surface. You'd have to dig tunnels, breed, gather resources from the surface etc. And your babies would be seeds that need to grow with sunlight, so you need to protect them.

Not sure yet! Anywhere between $25 - $40 without shipping. Will let you know as soon as I know more. They are quite big btw, 30cm

We will soon run another Kickstarter for the Adam plushies (Hopefully 2-3 months from now) Maybe we could go ahead and add the the Niche art book as a reward there.

Splitting Iceberg (129-133 days in) Voidwalker and Snowchaser's little debate is busted by a short nicheling. They decide to let it be. Thornbush sits atop the highest point on the mountain. She feels like cold wind against her fur is going to freeze her, so she creates a temporary nest and curls up in it. Quartz looks over the clearing. Voidwalker and Snowchaser were talking with Pine about the old Rockfalls; it had been Quartz's idea, so Pine could hear about new battle moves and hunting strategies. Quartz was growing older, and would likely be unable to lead the tribe. Therefore, she would be succeeded by Pine, who was becoming a strong and powerful nicheling. The short nichelings began to climb up the slope. Voidwalker and Snowchaser watched suspiciously; Voidwalker remembered a certain event that every Rockfall had to do; he had heard Snowchaser talk about as a juvenile; every Rockfall juvenile had to take on a pack of ramfoxes with 3-4 others to prove their strength. Snowchaser had failed due to his lack of claws, and the Rockfalls followed him to where Voidwalker was hiding. The brave nicheling defended Voidwalker, and was banished for it, earning him a torn ear in the process. Quartz had ended up next to Wikku. She considered killing the elephant nicheling, but Kira and Hare were nearby, and who knows how cold it was going to be tonight. She spared the once-annoying nicheling. Sakura had decided she didn't want to sleep with the commoners and snuggled against a wall. Sakura was also suspicious of Snowchaser and Voidwalker; they had been discussing Rockfalls and they might be Rockfalls. How could they, those barbarians. Then, a walking spike-ball walked up and mated with Pine. She screeched and lashed out at him, but the spikes on his body caught on her fur and he got away. Pine wondered what Quartz would do when discovering that Pine was expecting a child. Quartz was the only one who had accepted her, and had strictly said Pine can't have children. Would Quartz leave her now? Reminds me of WoF Scarlet and Peril, 'I'm your only friend' manipulation Pine kept an eye on Moose and brought the child to Sakura. She would hide at the back of the tribe and leave the child. That would be the best solution, wouldn't it? Sakura, meanwhile, was confronting Snowchaser and Voidwalker. Kira had came over after hearing about the Rockfalls and Snowfalls argument. Snowchaser and Voidwalker insisted they weren't Rockfalls, while Sakura and Kira were accusing them. Sn: "Listen! We were banished because I failed my test for my name and Voidwalker had a twisted paw!" V: "Hare too! He was banished for his twisted snout!" S: "How many of you rats are there!? You barbarians!" K: "You two must leave!" Sn: "We're going in the same direction of you all! Just let us travel with you guys, okay?" S: "No! You are hereby banished from the tribe!" V: "Who made you leader?" S: "I'm daughter of King Iceberg and Queen Strawberry! I'm their only child here, therefore I'm the leader!" V: "Are you really so encapsulated with old tradition? This is a new tribe! Nobody cares about your history!" K: "We care!" Kira leaped at Voidwalker. Snowchaser surged forwards to shove her away, and Sakura lashed out at Voidwalker, who leaped backwards and whacked her paw away. A civil war was beginning, and the iceberg holding the tribe together was splitting.
