hi flower so owlflower has these three cursed kits with her husband who is streamheart's brother and his name is ashstar and ashstar is mean. why? i dont know yet. they are called oakkit, birchkit and treekit (very good names, owlflower). they want to be apprentices blah blah blah so their mean dad makes them apprentices early. they dont know hes bad but he wants to eradicate the other clan, snowclan, which lives in literal hell and barely makes it thru each season but whatever. ashstar is planning a big attack on snowclan half way thru his kits' apprenticeship and tells them apprentices arent allowed to fight but if they try extra hard he will make them warriors. his murder kits want to do this a lot but treepaw works himself to death because two is enough. owlflower focuses on her dead kid but ashstar makes the other ones warriors, oakflower (very creative aswell ashstar your mate's suffix totally isnt flower) and birchear (birchear's ears are clawed to shreds during the battle so ashstar can see the future somehow lol.) they all battle but the deputy of leafclan (thats where they live oops i didnt say that) is a Nice Dude so he tries to kill ashstar in an attempt to become leader and make the clan right but birchear loves his father (they still dont know hes a meanie) and kills cindertwig the deputy. there is no deputy. but poor oakflower is chosen to be the deputy from cindertwig right before he dies and she has no choice but to be an underage sad leader. she chases out birchear for being an idiot after she realizes ashstar was bad so birchear is just wandering the territory. oakflower appoints her former mentor as deputy (cloudfern). (theres more but ill continue it later)

lesbian warrior cats. Owlflower is the brown tabby and streamheart is the grey one the other things are their references I dont like streamheart’s because its not right but it gets the job done they have a story if you want me to explain it but streamheart isnt in it cause. she kinda dead

BTW, BIT OF INFO: You keep your memories when you die. So you can learn about every clan. BUT when you die, everyone also forgets that you exist, making it so all your relations reset. You can try and talk to the cats you knew, but they may have a different reaction.

I had to make a kittypet in my secret allegiances for parentage reasons, but he probably won't ever show up. I contemplated just putting him in as "Kittypet Dad" or something, but I settled on... Mr. Muffin

Hey folks As it often is the case when I have a longer vacation, I started prototyping a small Niche-related game ^^ So far, all you can do selecting your little 'Nichelings' and tell them were to go. If you place them next to bushes, they automatically start collecting and continue to do when you leave them there (automating tasks is one the points I want to try out with this prototype). You can also approach an animal of the opposite sex and mate with it. And after setting the pregnant female in the nest and waiting for a but, a baby is born. No genetics yet 😮 I'll be tinkering some more with this and let you know

I only have...[counts list] 15 more cats to make (I have to make at least 6 of them before writing at all because 5 are kits and 1 is an elder that will probably appear soon) but hey we're getting there : )

I spent several hours working on the allegiances I'm making a family tree and I'm trying to make enough cats that I can connect everyone together in some way, and I'm getting close I'm running out of personality traits and backstory ideas lol

Some more progress! - Speed and sight radius are now gene-based - Some bug fixing - Added a predator that just stands around and blocks the way - You can fight the predator - When dying Nichelings spawn bones, predators spawn flesh that can be collected

A bit of progress today: - Baby animals now inherit their parents' fur color - Baby animals now grow into children, then adults - Added a "stockpile" for food. Nichelings can gather food and place it there.

Not a lot of visible progress tonight, but the first genetic-based mating took place 😮 Also, the pond is no longer in need of help.

Time to use the most powerful weapon of cuteness: puppy Brownie!

Bit of progress from yesterday's night promgramming session - Adam and Eve are back! - Worked some more on the breeding system - Added age levels (no more breeding with the babies, yay) - Added some more UI info Also they had SO MANY DAUGHTERS! I already thought it was a bug, until the little prince was born ❤️

so i was thinking what if nichelings with around 4+ digging can dig burrows to protect baby nichelings from the blue bird and maby add a bit of camouflage. the burrrow takes 5 nesting material to build and will collapse after 7 *days and the nicheling inside will have to be dug out. every day the nicheling is inside the collapesed burrow they will take 1 day of damage, after 5 *days the burrow will begin to fall apart and you can fix it by using 2 nesting material. Edit: I changed turns to days ( that's what i originaly ment)
