Hi! My name is Cactus Nicheling and I've been playing Niche since late 2018. I really like Niche a lot and love trying out challenges. My favorite challenges are the Amazon Challenge, Two Tribe Challenge and the Carnivore Challenge. I also like to make up challenges. I think I'm a fairly good player and can survive pretty ok. I really like Niche and I think it's a really fun game. Anyway, hello!

Well it was yesterday but meh. 1 YEAR AND 1 DAY! I think that makes me middle age in forum years. Maybe mid thirties?

'Oh! Look at that! I think we've found the coast!' Daisy comes to investigate. Not just the coast. A port to another island. They must tell the others.

Daisy picks a stem from inside the plant. 'These smell...' She sniff. 'Really good actually!' She bites it. 'How's it taste!?' Nina asks. 'Sweet! Sweeter than anything I've ever had!' 'Let me try!' Nina takes a couple stems.

'It's one of them demonish plants! But it's not doing anything?' Daisy observes. 'I'M GONNA PUNCH IT.' 'NINA WAIT!' too late. Nina rams her horns into the plants side, making a strange mushy sound. Immeditly it opens up to reveal an irresistible fruity aroma and seven large stems. 'Sweet!' Nina says concussionusly.

Baba steps in front and drop kicks the grass standing in their way. ooo what could this be?

The morning brings hope hope of sun. Still wet. Drenched in mud and rain, Baba and Leo fight through the thick grasses making a path in their way. Leo parts the grass with his fingers. 'Hey... hey! I think I see something through that brush!' He says eagerly.

When she's done with it she steps out to let Leo take a roll. The jungle's making them do weird stuff already.

Ah, the jungle. The true, raw jungle. Not like the rest of the island. This is the real deal. In they go when.. oh? Mud?? Baba stares at the goop on her large paw. And her first reaction, same as any sane persons reaction, is to roll in it. She don't know, just feels right.

'I just did!' She giggles, jumping ahead. 'But... how? Don't you have parents?' 'Yeah.' 'So how did you lost them?' 'Am I being too much?' Daisy thinks. 'Well, if I'm remembering correctly I went to get clams, or something tasty, and when I came back they was gone!' '"If I'm remembering correctly?"' Daisy thinks, 'How can she not remember?' Then it clicks. The fact she doesn't remember, the fact she seems so ok. 'You've been lost for a while, haven't you?' 'Almost my whole life.' Her smile droops a tad. Then she lights up again. 'Hey whats that smell!' How did this pass her? 'Guess it's just natural to think everyone's like me.'

Cafeful not to touch the plant with no sense of morals. Daisy, with her big ears, can already hear the beach. While she walks in the rain with Nina, a question sturs in her head. 'Nina, if it's ok that I ask, how did you get lost?' Anyone would be curious, right?

Pitter patter. Rainy day. As are pair of four wake up they have a choice to make. Go farther into the island and risk getting eaten or find a way out of here.

hi flower so owlflower has these three cursed kits with her husband who is streamheart's brother and his name is ashstar and ashstar is mean. why? i dont know yet. they are called oakkit, birchkit and treekit (very good names, owlflower). they want to be apprentices blah blah blah so their mean dad makes them apprentices early. they dont know hes bad but he wants to eradicate the other clan, snowclan, which lives in literal hell and barely makes it thru each season but whatever. ashstar is planning a big attack on snowclan half way thru his kits' apprenticeship and tells them apprentices arent allowed to fight but if they try extra hard he will make them warriors. his murder kits want to do this a lot but treepaw works himself to death because two is enough. owlflower focuses on her dead kid but ashstar makes the other ones warriors, oakflower (very creative aswell ashstar your mate's suffix totally isnt flower) and birchear (birchear's ears are clawed to shreds during the battle so ashstar can see the future somehow lol.) they all battle but the deputy of leafclan (thats where they live oops i didnt say that) is a Nice Dude so he tries to kill ashstar in an attempt to become leader and make the clan right but birchear loves his father (they still dont know hes a meanie) and kills cindertwig the deputy. there is no deputy. but poor oakflower is chosen to be the deputy from cindertwig right before he dies and she has no choice but to be an underage sad leader. she chases out birchear for being an idiot after she realizes ashstar was bad so birchear is just wandering the territory. oakflower appoints her former mentor as deputy (cloudfern). (theres more but ill continue it later)

they are a package deal and must not be separated your honor you can do whatever with them turtleshell personality: she’s reserved and shy, she really would only talk to other out of necessity with the exception of her mate. she’s secretly clever and quite funny, at least in the eyes of her mate, starkfeather, who’s the only who really gets to see the real turtlescratch. starkfeather on the other hand, is bold and sociable. she’s quite extroverted and gets along well with most clan members. she always saves time for her mate though and would drop anything if turtlescratch needed something. she really brings out the best in her friends, clan mates, and mate. her laughter and smiles can be seen as contagious.

Found 2 bugs. Eve has a Yellow thing on her paw Also, if you go and look at an unborn nicheling's nest from a Born One, you can see its genes for a moment

Nina scouts around a bit, being careful to avoid that smell from earlier.

As they sit under the tree, a dangerous scent lurker beyond the grasses. Maybe best not to go that way. Leo lies next to Baba near the tree. It's almost exactly like the one at home. But was that home? This pace is nice. In fact, it feels almost natural. Maybe he has some tropical ancestry in him.

After taking an interest in Nina, Daisy can't help but feel some pride as well.

Daisy and Leo try to call over to Baba. As Nina's unofficial hunting mentor she'll probably want to see this. Unfortunately she's been blocked out by some grasses. Poor Baba. There. She's ok now

But Nina's to bummed out. What's that one saying? A man can only take so many failures. But in this case it's a woman cause this is not the 1950's. She and Baba curl together by a sun-plant mid afternoon, fast asleep. Who can blame them, sleep is nice.

AHHH gone! The stag-mole disapears into the earth. Back to the upside-down. 'AGAIN!? AHHHHHH.' Nina screams, probably ruining her chances of finding any other prey on the island. Daisy comes over to see the commotion. 'Shame' She stares at the hole. 'I was really looking forward to having stag-mole tonight,' she jokes. Nina glares at her.

'What type of plant is this?' Daisy asks, refrancing a bright blue berry bush. 'Not sure. Better check with Baba if it's edible. She seems to know a lot.' Leo sniffs the bush. It's rank with sweet sweet scent, blocking Leo's nostrils. On their path they run into another one of those sun-plants. Luckily none of them need it.

Rabbil spotted? No, smelled. Deep in the bushes. This will be a team effort. (Daisy thats one 360 view you got their)

Baba feels Nina needs cherring up. So she takes her rabbil-hunting! A great way to distract and get around the island. Rabbils were the main source of food on the hills, so Baba has a lot of experience. As far as she knows Nina's never caught a rabbil in her life. Nina agrees to this. Eventually, after casing around for a bit, dusk arrives and the pair sleep knowing they'll have better luck tomorrow.
