Basically nichelings but their anatomy is based on other animals. Some of them will be drawn as a species based entirely on their design and some will be based on real animals If you want to request, you can choose the way your nicheling will be drawn and if it's based on a real animal you can also choose the animal4 points

Neglecteds are very hard to get, so don't worry. You can only get neglecteds if the eggs only have one more hour to live, and it didn't get more than 10 views before the last hour I'm pretty sure2 points

*appears out of nowhere* All you need to know is that they are everyone's enemy, even if they supposedly fight for justice.2 points

This is a very simple challenge. All you need are, some people in the community to play with and the game. You goal is to see how long can you survive along with the other player(s). If you try to complete the story line together, I'll be impressed. You each play five days (In the game) and then give the save file to the other player. And just switch between all the players, making sure everyone gets their turn before starting from player one again. (You can increase the days a player is allowed to play from 5 to 15, then the max in a row the could play is 25) You can all decide beforehand how long you get to do these five days(In the game, not real life). As you need to take in account how busy some are outside of this forums. I personally would give them a week depending on how we decide to play. If a player doesn't post within time the other player(s) gave them and didn't give a reason why or say they are going to SKIP a turn. The other player(s) will automatically assume that the player SKIPPED, and continue on with the next turn. If a player played 15 days(25 days if doing the more days) in a row because another player hadn't responded while it is their turn and the allotted time they had passed, it is a automatic GAME OVER. You will have to restart with everyone. The only exception is if you get someone that isn't currently playing along to stand in for the other player once so that you can continue playing. Together you can decide if you're going to do Adam's story or Sandbox mode. If you picked Sandbox mode you're not allowed to edit anything but can pick the island you want to start at. If you all decide that normal mode is to easy you can decide to take out the healing plants and increase damage of the enemies. If you could post your journey in the playthrough section, it would be appreciated. If you and the other player(s) decide you don't want to post that's fine too, can you just say how long you all survived here? I'm curious to see the outcome. You can all decide to make this a playthrough with a story also. I would be interested to read it. I can just image if one player made a nicheling that's kind and friendly. Then the other player twist it into something else like the nicheling is secretly selfish and only like wanderers. (THIS IS ONLY OK IF THE OTHERS AGREE WITH YOU TWISTING AND CHANGING THE STORY) This will also make it harder if you all agree that certain traits stay in all of the players turns. For example: Nicheling A is royalty and refuse to pick up grass, Nicheling B is brave so will always jump into danger. Rules: Need more than one player Be nice to each other (But if the others give permission for you to try and make it harder for them by not gathering food and ditching some of their nichelings, it's fine) Each player gets five days(15 days) (in game) before handing the save file to the next player No editing genes No editing food/nest material No cheating Say when you want to SKIP a turn A player can only play a max of 15 days (25 days)(in game) in a row if another player SKIPS or isn't responding. If a player played their 15/25 days and the other player hasn't responded or just kept SKIPPING. It's GAME OVER. You can get a stand-in if you can't go for a turn or will be away and can't play. Others can join an ongoing game if the other player(s) agree.1 point

I recorded a new Niche episode last night. I have to edit and upload it today. I'm going to keep posting my older Niche videos on here in order so there's no spoilers. Episode 9: In this video the bearyena that apeared last episode is killed after inflicting serious damage to Isana, causing her to have only one more day to live. Then the baby bearyena is tamed at the end of the episode. Also, I start pairing up the next generation of breeding pairs as more elder creatures pass on.1 point

Pouncers are slightly smaller than an adult big bodied nichelings, but slightly larger than a medium bodied nichelings. Pouncer's body shape is the head of a clouded leopard, the body and legs of a black panther and the tail of a cougar. They are a dark mossy green color, light brown belly, and many small light brown stripes on their torso, back of their head and upper part of their legs. Pouncers will only attack nichelings with 2 gems and under. Pouncers attack your nichelings in the night, like bearyenas. They attack by sitting in any type of tree and waiting for your nichelings to fall asleep underneath the tree. Once your nicheling is sleeping under the tree, the pouncer will leap down and attack your nicheling. The attack from pouncers are oneshots to your nichelings. Pouncers can only kill 1 nicheling per night and will despawn after 5 nights. Pouncers are pretty rare. Pouncers will not attack nichelings with spiky body, toxic body, or armored body though. You can tell if a pouncer is there by smelling for it, as pouncers don't make any noise. Nichelings with wings can attack pouncers and they drop 30 food. I hope you liked my idea!1 point

@Takoyama there's a hatchling in your egg group @alex602h You probably know this already, but if that hellfire wyvern turns out to be a female you could have a hybrid1 point

FInished the basic Bearyena behaviour, did some improvement to the controls and... added canibalism 😮 This feature has been requested many times now and I always thought it was too creepy to add, but it also happens in nature so I thought I'd give it a try. Nichelings now spawn "Nicheling meat" when they die. I'm thinking about adding a mechanic that the meat does not spawn, or maybe just less meat spawns, when the creature was very young, very old or died of hunger. Normal Nichelings can not pick up Nicheling meat. But I added a new head gene the that gives you +1 canibalism and gives you the ability to collect it. Spooky. Now I'm wondering what this head gene should be called/look like? I read about canibalistic animals a bit. Seems like rabbits, hamsters, polar bears, some apes, many insects and fish are canibals.1 point

Added some basic behaviour for the Bearyena. If it's hungry, it looks for food. In this case meat on the ground that can be picked up. If it runs into a Nicheling or Rabbil it will try to turn them into meat too. It can carry some meat around with it and consume it when hungry. The rest of the time it roams around. Alright so the 6'th time the charm. So, far it's going good. Here are my starters: Their offspring survived till now, I just unlocked normal blood. I finally figured out how to get them to survive longer. 1 get a permanent nest 2 Breed so there is always 1 F and 1 M 3 and repeat step 2 until you run into a BY then run Oh and sacrifice all others. So if their is a F and M close to age, kill all others.1 point
