The process of mitosis Interphase: Period between division. Cell undergoes normal functions. Toward the end of the phase, genetic material replicates to prepare for mitosis. Prophase: Chromatin condenses into visible chromosomes. Nuclear membrane disappears. Centrioles begin to form spindle fibres and migrate to poles. Metaphase: Sister chromatids, pairs of replicated chromosomes connected by centromeres, align to the equator and attach to the spindle fibres. Centrioles are at the poles at this point. Anaphase: Centromeres divide and sister chromatids separate and are pulled toward opposite poles. Telophase: Chromatids have reached opposite poles. Nuclear membrane reappears. Mitosis is complete. Chromosomes now decondense into chromatin. Daughter cells will be genetically identical. Cytokinesis: Seperate to mitosis, occurs alongside telophase (or maybe sometime else, I dunno). Cleavage furrow, or "pinch" in the cell membrane, occurs in the middle of the parent cell. Cytoplasm and organelles replicate and migrate to opposite poles. The cleavage furrow continues to pinch the cells apart. Two daughter cells are formed. Cell division is complete. The new cells go into interphase.

It was way more than alright, it was amazing! The reason for the herbalist collars having a golden flower in them is pretty smart, and I specifically like the little bits of history sprinkled around! Not enough to paint the full picture, but enough to get you interested in this new world and how it works. The only real criticism I have (and take this with a grain of salt), is that the info dump of the kitten's personalities and physical traits in Chapter 1 could have been done a tiny bit better. If I was in your shoes and wanted to, say, show that Smoke is skilled at catching flying insects, I would have written a scene where she is shown swiftly catching a fly, adding a description of her physical features in the scene as well. (<<< just an example) But either way, I'm definitely enjoying the story and excited for new updates Best of luck! (Also I just read page 9, and this update further emphasizes my point on not painting the full picture but still getting you interested)

Maybe something like... -1 Speed if their original speed was 2 or more -1 Swimming if their original speed was 2 or more -1 Strength -1 Cold resistence +1 Distasteful Appearence Low fertility or infertile Or we could just make them low fertile and take out a gem and call it even.
