  2. Snowy Salvation (194-215 days in) I took very few screenshots, nothing interesting is happening Also. 5 hours on the file! Wooo The Frozen Empire continued to move throughout the island. The cold blizzard had lasted for what felt like years, but the tribe was getting used to it at this point. The Burning Empire subconsciously shifted closer to the Frozen group, Trying to find a new home to settle down in and have their children in peace. And eventual war. Another balance bear rolled up as Onion became an adult. They quietly slipped away. The Frozen group decided to set out for new territories. Half the group scouted, while the other half stayed with Salvador. Sakura was getting old, and she had dedicated her entire life to proving herself worthy of her powerful body armor. Once one who would throw others into the fire, and now one that threw herself into the fire. She had given up royalty; now with a new perception of the world, she had realized how terrible this world was, and how she could help others. And in some proud way, she felt she had succeeded. The Burnings and the Frozens were moving closer together. Soon, all doom might break lose on the frosty tundra. With the greatest weapon of the Frozens on her final few days, a young nicheling owing Moose his life, and a strange quest from a powerful nicheling from a faraway land, would these colliding icebergs be the end of the Empires? Unrelated to the plot, but Iris and Parrot both have the same rogue dad. And I'm pretty sure this was Silent's father as well. And, currently, it's getting harder to keep up with 14 nichelings with diverse and interesting personalities, so I might want to shift over to a way of storytelling where it follows one or two nichelings (probably Emu, Parrot, Onion, or Salvador, since they're all young) and not the whole tribe. I don't want to have so few screenshots over so many days, because large time jumps would make the tribe hard to follow. So give suggestions, and I will pick whoever has the most

  3. So I found it, but still can't get back in. Thought I might as well make a post about it to see if it'll ring a bell and anyone might remember me. https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/profile/4331-rainwater/

  4. I'm not sure which to pick exactly, but I will give my thoughts on what could be explored if one of these nichelings were the protagonists: Salvador couldn't be too useful on the island, and I'm curious to see how that will impact his character and maybe his tribemates' perception of him. Emu is the exact opposite of Salvador, what with being so physically strong and almost perfect for the mountain biome. It almost makes me want to see some more conflict in The Frozen Empire that doesn't come from the outside, but from the inside... A POV from the side of The Burning Empire (Onion) or that was originally from TBE (Parrot), could also work.

  6. Shadow stood over his dead mates body. "I love you, Misi..." He said to it "But..." His stomach clenched "I can't do it. I physically can't." He whimpered. "I need your help." "Sleep." Shadow looked around. Who was that?! "Revenge is not the answer. For now. Just sleep." Whoever was talking, they weren't talking to him. But then why could he hear it? "Sleep." --- Len had grown Maybe now he would leave her alone. A part of her was disappointed at that possibility "Can we go now??" Groaned Chocolate. Ruby nodded. "Come on." She started making her way up the mountain. Lan followed and took off ahead. The ground was hard and cold, frost still lay there. Len looked at the top of the mountain. "Time to find him." She said under her breath --- Dust looked around. "I can't see you." He could hear Elle mumble something before she said, "I don't think it would work here, but that doesn't matter! I'm here talking to you!" Dust nodded. "I'm sorry for what happened." He sighed. "You didn't do it, so why are you apologising?" She asked. Dust sighed again. "You sure do like sighing!!" Elle teased. Dust chuckled. "I have a... feeling that the weather is going to get colder, Dust." She said. "You should make your way to that hot spring!" Dust nodded and started walking over to it --- Lareel broke a nest as she made her way to Coco. "Can we have another kid now?" Coco nodded. After the deed was done, Lareel rested next to a healing plant. Hopefully, this kid wouldn't be cursed...

  7. Another sidenote (will be doing an actual post later today), but I was thinking about making another playthrough, and played on the potential playthrough's file, and I had identical twins, again. So, there's a correlation between identical twins and making a playthrough, I guess.

  8. Iskomi opened her eyes. For a moment, she didn’t remember what had knocked her out, but the nicheling she saw had done unspeakable things to her, and it all came flooding back. “Help!” she screamed, turning around to run away. But what she saw made her stand still, paw still lifted to step, shocked. There was only water all around her, only ocean. She scanned the horizon, and in the distance she saw what looked to her like a large shadow. Other than that, nothing except ocean. Finally, words came to her, “Where am I?” she asked slowly. “In the middle of the ocean,” said an eerily calm voice behind her, “more specifically on a cluster of rocks in the middle of the ocean. Following a path of rocks that fall apart as you go from one to the other, in the hopes of getting to another island.” Iskomi recognized the voice, it belonged to the nicheling she had seen a few minutes ago. She ignored him, her back stubbornly turned to him. Why did you drag along with you anyways? And then her stomach growled, there was a hunger pain in the pit of it. And the pain kept getting worse, she felt nauseous. “You need to eat,” the male said, “have a berry.” Iskomi ignored him again, but the pain and nausea kept getting worse. Until she knew she was going to throw up. She bent over and vomited into the ocean. When she finished, the male said, “Do you want a berry now?” “I just threw up,” Iskomi snapped, “you don’t eat when you throw up.” “You aren’t sick,” replied the male with no emotion, “your vomiting was a combination of not eating for a day, sea-sickness, and pregnancy.” I’m pregnant? Finally, things made a bit more sense, with his child. I guess that’s why he did everything he did, he wants a child. There were much better ways of getting one. Then again, if your parents chose your siblings over you to carry on the family line, and there were no suitable mates around, what could be done? Iskomi had always wanted a child, but not like this. He could’ve asked to be mates. Desperate as she was, she would’ve probably accepted, then regretted it later when she found out what sort of a male he was. Iskomi gazed out at that shadow, thinking it must be her home in the distance. She wanted to go back there. She wished the male had simply left her when he’d done what he did. He could’ve found another female on whatever island he ended up on. Then she could’ve had her child surrounded by her family, on a plentiful island. They would’ve excepted the child, they weren’t that cruel. And she could’ve found a suitable mate to help raise them. Or she could’ve raised them alone, anything would be better than this. “Now that you’re awake, you could start hoping from rock to rock so I don’t have to drag you through the ocean anymore,” the male interrupted her thoughts. “I’m not going any further with you. I’m staying right here,” asserted Iskomi. “So you can have a child on a rock and starve to death in the middle of the ocean?” questioned the male, “Is that what you want?” Iskomi whirled around with tears in her eyes and an enraged voice, “No! That’s not what I want! I want to go back home, to my island! I wish you had left me there! You could’ve raped another female when you got to whatever cursed island you arrived at. Why didn’t you?” The male didn’t even flinch, “Because there’s no guarantee there will be another female, or anyone. Besides, you seemed to have decent genetics and a good disposition. But what does it matter? You can’t go back. The only options are stay here and die, or continue with me and survive.” Or kill you and continue on my own. That the thought entered her head scared Iskomi, perhaps the male’s ways were already brushing off on her. Two wrongs didn’t make a right, and besides, she had fought him before, struggling to get away. She knew he was stronger and had faster reflexives, not to mention that he used the environment to his advantage. She’d get her head smashed on a rock again, and then he’d drag her to the new island. She would be in much better physical shape if she went herself. When she got there, she could decide what to do. “Fine,” said Iskomi, “I’m coming. But stay far away from me as we jump, I don’t want your help.” The male smiled, but it seemed strange, either fake or sinister. “Do you want some berries?” he said, pushing a few her way and stepping back. Having them so close, and being so hungry, Iskomi couldn’t help herself. She grabbed them and quickly stuffed them into her mouth. After watching her eat, the male turned around and jumped from the rock platform to another, which shifted under his weight. Iskomi copied him. She was nervous and not very good at first, but eventually she got the hang of it and got into a rhythm. She focused on jumping to the next rock, and the next one and the next one, drowning her thoughts and emotions out. Keeping her mind occupied with the task at hand. -------------------- Iskomi licked her newborn. The child seemed listless, and distant. They didn’t nurse. They just sat there…with an odd look on their face? Was it veiled hatred? Could such a thing be present in a child? It took several hours, but the child finally nursed. Iskomi decided to name her newborn daughter Siel, meaning distant. Because of her distant demeanor, and because Iskomi was in a distant land. Her first child Mitami sat nearby, watching the newborn with interest. Iskomi loved her child dearly, which is why she hadn’t run away when they reached the island. She couldn’t care less if Dondon, (whose name she had learned when he had told it to Mitami), dropped dead tomorrow. In fact she hoped he would die soon. And then she could raise her children without fear, and teach them morals. Until then, she settled for what she had, which wasn’t too bad. Dondon was distracted much of the time, and Iskomi had been able to spend time loving her first child without his interference, except that one time he called her away to pick berries when Mitami was still a baby. She figured this time would be similar. Iskomi licked the child as it nursed, caring for them. She was already in love with her second child, just as she had been with her first. Even with the strange look in their eyes… Mitami had a look similar to that when they looked at Dondon sometimes. Then, whenever Dondon occasionally glanced at her, the look quickly vanished. This was a little concerning to Iskomi, but then again, Dondon deserved to be hated and lied to, didn’t he? “It must go,” came a pronouncement, breaking in to Iskomi’s thoughts. “Huh?” said a confused Iskomi. “The child must go, we can’t keep them,” said Dondon. Iskomi assumed he was talking about her eldest, “Mitami isn’t a bad child to have, she-” “No not her, the other one,” corrected Dondon. “What?” Then Iskomi realized what Dondon was saying. He couldn’t mean that, could he? What could a newborn child do that’s worthy of banishment? This is his child too, and he desperately wants heirs. He can’t be that crazy. But she knew that he could be. Iskomi thought nothing shocked her anymore, but this did. She hadn’t been this shocked since she’d whirled around and seen the ocean instead of Long Island. So she just sat there for a minute, trying to process this. Welcome to the Psychopath's island! This is the island where Dondon the psychopath and his family live, and the island that may eventually be completely ruled and settled by Dondon's decedents.

  9. ----DAY 45---- A kit lay between Lareel's paws. "Oh Len, you're awake!" Tears ran down the kits face. "Oh don't worry darling, everything's ok..." "I know you're scared. We all are." "But he is far away. He cannot hurt you." "Don't lie, Lareel. He comes around eventually." "He always comes around." "I'm cold!" "..You won't be soon..." --- This is a main character playthrough. It follows a story of one nicheling. When they die, a new character will be chosen.

  22. Here it is: In this video Iskomi tries to convince Dondon to banish Siel instead of killing her. This only makes him angry at her, and as he argues back saying that a banished creature would steal food, she gets so angry she attacks him. She and Mitami (who helps some) easily defeat Dondon. As a result he respects Iskomi more and agrees to keep Siel. The family forgives eachother for now out of varying motives, but little does Iskomi know she has just defended an even bigger psychopath than Dondon. Siel conveniently forgets to heal Dondon 2 times in a row, and he ends up dying the same way he did before with me applying the healing effect when he has a day left to live and forgetting it doesn't help in that case. Before he dies, he says Mitami as the eldest should be the new leader. His only son Kukirno is born soon after Dondon dies. Siel and Iskomi's second youngest Silami plot to overthrow their sister Mitami and kill their mother.

  28. Shade might be possessing children of the tribe to warn them for when Shade sends balance bears? And if they don't survive, they're portrayed as weak and deserving to die? Maybe Shade is seeking vengeance against Len's bloodline and family for something they did?

  29. Lareel ran over to Len and Ruby. "Everything good?" Ruby opened her mouth, but Len beat her to it. "Yep." Lareelsmiled and licked the top of Len's head. "That's great to hear." Lareel looked at Ruby. "Would you mind leaving for a moment? I need to talk to Len." Ruby looked surprised, but stepped a little bit away. Lareel turned to Len. "Do you know who Shade is?" Len shrugged. "Well, he is a god. Of what I do not know." "Why is he so bad?" "He's been sending balance bears after us. One killed your grandparents." Len looked curious. ''What are balance bears?" "They are horrible creatures, with only one desire- death." "But why?" Lareel glared at Len confused. "What do mean by 'why'? I just told you why." "Wanting death isn't a motivation. And if they were bad, they would be killing us." Lareel flattened her ears. "Your grandparents died at the paws of one. Be more respectful." Len huffed "They must have been too slow." Lareel stepped backin shock. That wasn't her daughter's voice! "Who are you?!" "What?" Len's voice was back. Lareel paused before walking away. She heard Ruby's voice as she left. "What was that about?" "No idea." --- Anyone have theories about this? :)) I would love to hear them!

  30. Len panted for air. "Are you okay?" She slowly turned her head to see a concerned Ruby. What should she say? "I-I had a bad dream..." Ruby patted Len's head. "Its ok, it's just a dream." "Was it?" Len realised she blurted that out. "What do you mean?" Ruby's face had gone from calm to concerned again. "I'm fine." "No, you're not." Ruby chest puffed up, making her look even bigger. "You were foaming at the mouth." "So? I'm not now." "You can't just brush that off!" Len huffed. She turned away from Ruby. "What's going on?" "..." "It's him." ---

  32. ----Day 47---- Dust sighed "This isn't what our parents wanted." "You don't know what our parents want." "Of corse I don't! They're dead!" Coco flattened his ears "Leave." "Coco, there is no leader in this tribe, you can't-" "Or you're dead. At my paws." Dust wasn't even surprised anymore. He turned and ran towards the grass. Past Misi and Shadow. And after a while, he reached... The ports. "My father and Tea Tree took these ports to this island..." He knew what Tea Tree was like. She was a strong leader type, but allowed the tribe to run without one. She was merciful and Dust looked up to her. His parents weren't around, so she was the only real adult in his life. And now she was long gone. He lay on the grass. It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but it was better than nothing. "Hello? Dust?" Dust jolted up. Who was that?! "Dust! Can you see me?" "Who are you?!" "Dust! It's me! Elle!" --- "When are we having another kid?" "I would like another kid when Len goes off on her mission." "But wouldn't it be good for Len to have a sibling to have a sibling while she's here?" Coco sighed. "We need to toughen her up. Make her care about no one. Only then will she beat Shade." Lareel nodded. "Maybe I should give more information to Len about Shade? I think that would be helpful." "Do what you want, I could care less." Lareel paused "...oh" --- Ruby sat and watched a bluebird circle above. Its eyes were hungry and it flexed its claws as it flew. Chocolate was fast asleep. Ruby scanned her eyes to Len. Len's mouth was foaming and she was twitching. Ruby stood up and poked her. Len didn't move. A loud screech came from above. Ruby looked up to see the bluebird plummet to the ground. It was still screeching. Ruby walked over to it and it lashed out, although her fur was too strong to really do any damage. It then stopped screaming and flew back up, eyeing up Len even more. Ruby heard heavy breathing behind her. Len was awake and panting, eyes wide. "Are you okay?" ---

  33. Misi pinned down Coco "YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER!" "Whats wrong with you?!" Dust just stared at Coco in horror "Look, it was an accident." Lareel had a face mixed with emotions Coco rolled his eyes. "You can have another kid." "WHY YOU-" Dust pulled Coco away from lashing out at Misi. "Why are you doing this?" "I could ask the same thing to you." --- Misi pounced on a bunnl, sinking her teeth into its neck. Shadow went over to her. "Its nearly my time..." "What do you mean?" "I'll be up there." She looked up. "Oh." "Shadow. Promise me this. When I die, get rid of Coco." "I will." ---
