@Modiano, Eater of Worlds @A Nicheling Done!

so a long time ago when the first niche language came about, I made my own. it got messy and I didn't like it so I restarted it a while ago. today I remembered it, fixed some things, and added some words and I thought I'd go ahead and share it I made it styled like a real dictionary and everything haha (*laughs in pain because of how long it takes to add just one word*) the Kikonokian Language! and if you're curious, here's the old one. I'm reusing some of the words.

I assume it would get harder for them as they got older to have kits, even if it would be possible. I could add in some variation, though this is niche where life stages are the same for every nicheling and they all die on the same number of days unless they took damage. I may have some retire before they officially reach the elder stage, and expand the lifespan of some using the increaseage command. It would add some variety. I would probably use dice to decide either way. And maybe I'll just make it unlikely for elders to be able to breed, (either roll dice for success or console low fertility) instead of forbidding it. Also I may console short-sighted eyes on some elders.

BerryStripe thought it was important so he looked around for something to stand on to get their attention until his eyes landed on a tall rock. He climbed up the rock and stood on top of it before preparing to get everyone’s attention. “HEY! I’VE GOT SOME GOOD NEWS!” BerryStripe yelled from on top of the rock which got everyone to look at him. “There’s some odd rocks that may lead back to our homes!” He said. “Really?” SquirrelSwoop asked with hope in her eyes. “Finally” OtterStream said. “I said MIGHT, i can’t see where the ports lead to. And there doesn’t seem to be any indicator of where they lead, so it’s only a chance” BerryStripe said with a sigh. “Of course it would be a mystery” OtterStream grumbled. “Also what are you doing up there? Sitting up there like you’re important?” OtterStream snickered as she saw how BerryStripe was sitting on a rock. “Well you all seemed pretty focused on your conversations and i thought this was important so i needed some way to get your attention” BerryStripe replied. Everyone then dispersed to talk to whoever they were talking to before. “Can’t you help get some food? Or are you too HiGh aNd MiGhTy for that?” SquirrelSwoop mocked. “Well food seems plentiful so i see no reason to hunt more than we need” OtterStream replied. “That’s not the issue, you need to pitch in or else you’re just dead weight to the group!” SquirrelSwoop hissed. “Nobody but you has said anything so i don’t think it really matters” OtterStream said. “UGH! Whatever, i hope you won’t just be dead weight later” SquirrelSwoop hissed before walking off to look for more food. (I forgot to take a screenshot for this so uh just text- It was a screenshot of BearClaw and CloudGust) A few moons later everyone was still stuck there but most of them were starting to get along well. “I can’t wait to get home” CloudGust said happy that there was a chance of getting back. “Yeah, i still have some stuff to do and i’d rather not be stuck here forever” BearClaw responded. “I have my little siblings to help take care of back home” CloudGust said as he remembered them. “Little siblings? Is there something wrong with them that you need to help?” BearClaw asked with curiosity. “I suppose yeah. They’re weaker than they’re supposed to be” CloudGust sighed. “Oh…I hope they grow up strong and well” BearClaw replied as she felt bad for the little ones. “I’m sure they will! They’ll get better…” CloudGust said, hoping what BearClaw said would be true. “I understand that this situation is stressful but you need to help us gather food” BerryStripe said to OtterStream with a sigh. “Food is plentiful and not at all scarce to i see no reason to” OtterStream said. “Food may be plentiful but you never know when that could end so helping out would be good for everyone” BerryStripe said, a little irritated that OtterStream wouldn’t help at all. “Fiiiine, if only to get you to be quiet” OtterStream groaned before walking off to find food. SquirrelSwoop climbed on top of the rock since that seemed good for getting their attention last time. “Hey i just thought of something!” SquirrelSwoop yelled out which caused everyone to turn their heads and walk over to her. “We’ve been stuck here for a while now and our chances of leaving seem scarce so what is we made our own clan?” SquirrelSwoop asked. “Our own clan?! We have our own clans to get back to!” OtterStream hissed. “Maybe, but making our own clan would be good in case we can’t leave” BerryStripe replied. “Sounds good to me” MoleFern said. “Making our own clan? Sounds exciting I’m in!” BearClaw said with a grin. “I don’t know if you all are agreeing than i guess i will too…”CloudGust said still worried about his little siblings. “Alright! Well why don’t we decide our leader with a vote?” SquirrelSwoop asked. “Well in that case i vote BerryStripe, he is slightly tolerable” OtterStream sighed. “SquirrelSwoop!” BearClaw said. “I’ll vote BerryStripe” SquirrelSwoop said. “SquirrelSwoop seems like a very strong leader to me” MoleFern said. “SquirrelSwoop, i agree with MoleFern” CloudGust said. “SquirrelSwoop” BerryStripe said. “Wow, i can’t believe i won that vote” SquirrelSwoop said with a smile. “I promise to lead everyone with fairness!” SquirrelSwoop said. “What about your deputy?” OtterStream asked. “Oh right! I’d have to choose BerryStripe, he would be a great leader” SquirrelSwoop said which caught BerryStripe’s attention. “Oh? Well thank you, i accept that with honor” BerryStripe replied. SquirrelSwoop is now SquirrelStar.

Everest "Timber" He's the one I probably used the most in TAS, and I think about him the most besides Almond. Almond is pretty up there too, but Everest meant a lot when I was going through shizz

It'd be better if the elder stage was different for every cat. In the main series, Brackenfur is an elder while his littermate Thornclaw is still a warrior. Not all cats are going to immediately retire. And technically they'd be able to breed? Patchpelt had Swiftpaw and Lynxkit as an elder I'm pretty sure

Toad lays down, putting his head on the grass. Swimming is tiring for little bodies! He looks around, but all he can see is grass, towering intimidatingly above his little innocent head; he doesn't have good eyesight anyways, though. (He is near-sighted.)

(Baby: 2 Child: 4 Teen: 12 Adult: was 80 before, now it's 90 (but the extra 10 days are added to elder lifespan) Elder: from day 75 (might be 65 but i dont think so, i will have to check to be sure) to 90 the cat is now an elder. Elders cannot breed and are weaker so more likely to roll a death in case of sickness, predator attack, ect. I thought the elder stage was too short comparatively so I added more days to it when I recreated the save) I can't promise all of them will be short lol, but I am hopefully done with the long text posts with no pictures. I hope to break up my long posts with pictures from now on but we'll see how it goes!)

Poor Toad is tired out quickly—he is too young for swimming that long! Besides that, he has a hard time walking so having some more energy before attempting to explore would be great.

How long are the lifespans? These cats feel immortal LOL Also, I like that that last part was shorter. Not because it's less content (ALL THE CONTENT!!) but because when posts (by anyone) are too long (especially if there's no pictures dividing it up) I either get bored and don't finish, or just skim. I'm probably bad at making long posts myself though haha

i had a really weird dream last night about roblox or something so it started with me just sitting in my sisters room and then i was transported into roblox??? so i was vibin, when ALL OF A SUDDEN Keanu Reeves appeared out of nowhere and gave me a nice frickin car. it was very nice looking and it looked like a black tesla??? so yeah i was spinnin in de car and my amigo from school was there in the car spinnin too i guess idk. then i think shaqeel o neil was also there, giving out free shaqaroni pizzas lol. then i was back in my room but the lights stopped working, so a random tablet appeared and i fixes the light with its life force. idk bout u but to me it was pretty wack.

Wulfy's mother was deaf, and because the gills have little-to-no smelling ability, she relied on her mate. Unfortunately for her, not long after she gave birth, she went to get some water, and was ambushed by a bearyena ~¤~Other~¤~ Much like his father, Wulfy would help out any cubs and pregnant females regardless if they were his cubs and mate or not. Day 36, Sunny #009 "Lurroduk", #006 "Lonta" and #008 "Eve" seem rather weak. They have spent the day huddled together, with #014 bringing them berries and #019 snuggling them and purring. #013 and #017 have stopped and #013 appears to be nesting. Our team is quite sure that she is pregnant. #011 and #018 are hunting together. They are both very affectionate towards the other. #012 "Lami" has been introduced to his mate #020. She seems to still be quite tired from the transport, ignoring #012. #020 "Ismiko" #020 has been given to us by @PincerClaw420

Day 35, Sunny #016 has grown up - with that every cub of generation 2 is now an adult! The genetical analysis has indeed shown that he suffers from shortsightedness. He has therefore been relocated to another research programme. #016 "Kuulro" We have also introduced a new nicheling to #014 - his future mate! #019 "Peach" She has been given to us by @Okay While #019 got acquainted with #014 and #009, both #006 and his mate #008 joined the group. We assume that the two groups have known about each others existence due to their close proximity. As they reach older age they seem to be interested in joining together. #012 has been seen hunting rabbils in P2. #017 "Vanta" and #013 "Helza" have entered P4 and are currently moving to the northern side of the island. #011 has spent the day hunting and offered #018 the meat. The two of them have been seen sharing the meal. Our drone has been able to take a picture of all our nichelings and their current locations:

Day 34, Part 2 #010, "Tuku", has left the island as well. We are very happy to announce that two new nichelings have arrived on the island! #017 "Vanta", Partner of #013 #017 has been given to us by @Okay - he has already acquainted himself with #013. #018 "Cloydy Skies", Partner of #011 #018 has been given to us by @Lilyturf. She was quite shy after waking up and still keeps her distance to #011, but the two of them have been chirping at eachother.

Day 31, Sunny #004 has spent the day close to her family, showing signs of fatigue. We assume that she will pass away during the following night. #014, her second cub, has reached adulthood and had his genes recorded. #014 "Anli" #008 has left her nest and hunted a stagmole. Her mate #006 appears to be taking care of their newborn cub. Their older son "Lami", #012, seems restless and has spent the day distanced from his parents, leading us to believe he might attempt to migrate. #007 has stopped advancing, instead clearing out grass. #010 and #011 follow his example.

Day 30, Rainy #007 and his cubs have left their home and appear to be heading north. Our behavioral experts suggests that this might be both a result of #010 and #011 reaching adulthood, as well as the death of #003. Seeing that #003 migrated farther than all other individuals, this trait of hers seems to reflect in her young. An extreme closeup from one of our drones has been made, and used to assess the health of #008's newborn offspring. We currently assume the cub #016 to be male, and in good health. (#012 is seen in the middle, is father to the right) #004's agility has strongly declined, and we assume her death to be near. She has left the nest and been succesful in hunting a rabbil for her family, while #009 cared for their cubs. Their oldest cub, #013, has grown up and her genetic code has been taken. #013 "Helza"

As it currently seems like most offspring is male, we would like to incourage zoos as well as other organisations to consider having some of their females join our project. However, as we are careful to not overcrowd the island, we may remove some of our own individuals from there and instead put them in zoos.

Day 26, Sunny The cub of #008 and #006 is alive after all! Number #012, now called "Lami" by researchers, spent the day close to his father, picking berries. Both #004 and #009 care for a nest each, leading us to believe that they may have two young cubs in their care. #007 shows his offspring how to hunt and fish. His oldest, #010, has grown into an adult, and one of our drones has been succesfully decoded his genome, as well as taking a picture of him and his parents. #010 "Tuku"

Day 25, Sunny The younger cub of "Niim" (#003) and "Elrosti" (#007) has left his nest, and has been confirmed male. Both cubs are now named. #010 is dubbed "Tuku", his brother #011 is now called "Zul". Since #003 is already quite old we do not expect her to have more offspring. The family is occupied with picking berries and clearing out grass. Both #008 and #006 continue to visit the nest. Our team is hoping that their cub might be alive after all. #004 appears to have given birth, and drone footage shows that she might be pregnant again.

Day 24, Sunny #004 and #009 have stopped moving north, seemingly nesting, with #004 showing definite signs of pregnancy. #008 has left her nest, with #006 guarding is closely, which leads us to assume that #008 may have given birth to a stillborn cub. A drone has been able to take a picture of #003 and #007, identifying both of their cubs.

Day 23, Sunny #003 appears to have given birth to another cub. Her firstborn has left the nest, and has been identified as male. #008 apppears to be nesting, perhaps getting ready to give birth this night. Just as predicted, #004 and #009 continue to move north, though #004 shows signs of nesting.

Day 22, Sunny #008 shows signs of pregnancy, but hasn't nested yet. #009 has been introduced to #004, both of them appearing to like eachother. #003 and #007 are seen taking care of a healthy cub, with #003 seemingly being pregnant again.

Day 21, Sunny #003 is barely leaving her nest. She appears to be nursing. #007 is keeping busy by clearing out the surrounding area. #006 and #008 appear more affectionate, perhaps pair-bonding has begun. #004 is seen moving north, towards P4.
