  19. ALRIGHT, turns out i can continue heres the first part of your update: Much time had passed since the tribe arrived at their new home. Pesket was offered the position of leader, but he refused, passing it over to Pine. Fennel died from his illness not long after, and the tribe mourned for who they considered their savior. Moth worked tirelessly to prove himself, to try and be better than his brother and father. Fennel assured him that he didn't blame him for anything, just before he died. His hard work eventually caused Pine to fall for him, and the two ruled over the evergrowing tribe together. But, peace can't last. A certain daughter of the two tribe leaders indirectly set the tribe near extinction, and all because she simply discovered something in the wilds one day. Something dangerous.

  20. i know its been quite a while since i updated this, but its not dead- meanwhile, have this little short story i wrote when i didnt have wifi The only sounds that registered in her head were the waves, lapping gently against the sand. She couldn't even see anything-just darkness. Wait-oh yeah, her eyes were closed. She slowly opened them, hissing in pain as the sunlight burned them and made her head spin. What had happened? Where was she? Who was she? "Are you alright?" Jolting in fear, her eyes shot open, blinking up at the voice. A fairly small nicheling stood over her, black eyes wide and fur bristling, as if she was to bolt at any second. "I...I think?" The little nicheling relaxed a bit, but whipped her head around, backing away a bit. "Serenity! Go get Aymi!" She called out, and the disoriented nicheling could just make out the shape of another small nicheling running into the grass. She shakily tried to stand up, stiffening as she started to cough up some water. She looked around, eyes scanning over the beach. Nothing looked familiar. A mere minute later, the second nicheling returned, an adult trailing behind her. The female that stood in front of her rushed to them, accidently kicking sand in the other's face, leaving her to cough again. "Aymi! We found this nicheling on the shore-she seems confused." Aymi took a few steps forward, pausing a few feet away. She didnt say a word before jerking her head to the left, turning around as the two children followed her. Taking the hint, she stumbled after them, shoving away some grass as it hit her face. Two of the other nichelings walked ahead, while one of the children fell back to walk next to her. "What's your name?" She asked the little nicheling, her voice raspy from all the coughing. "Abandon." The female responded, immediately running ahead. Breaking through the grass, all four of them entered some sort of camp, with plenty of nichelings standing around and doing various tasks. The most noticeable was a brown and white female in the center, sitting in a nest as she spoke with some male. Her attention seemed to snap towards the newcomer instantly, ignoring Abandon and Serenity as they sat down next to her. In turn, many other nichelings looked up, some with more welcoming looks than others. "Who's that?" A grey female hissed out, her claws scratching the earth as the strange looking male next to her shuffled nervously. "Abandon and Serenity found her on the shore." Aymi suddenly spoke up, stepping forward. "This is-" She paused, looking back at the newcomer. "What's your name?" Hesitating, she thought for a moment, before it seemed as if a spark of memory came back to her. She raised her head, locking eyes with the nicheling that seemed to be their tribe leader. "Rain." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- retxsrdyfukgiuh8oyu9p, plot twist-yep, Rain's actually alive Abandon, Serenity and Aymi are from this playthrough i did a while ago:

  21. (things have changed here-just think of it as a new 'book') Knowing they could no longer stay, the tribe left, leaving behind the lifeless corpse of Birch and the horribly disfigured Hawk, who surely didnt have much longer to live in the condition he was in. They arrived at an island not much different than the last one. Their new lives would begin here, and maybe finally, FINALLY, they could be at peace. We all know that never happens in these stories. (on another note, who should the tribe's next leader be?)

  22. Just a day later, the plan was set into motion. The night was cold, but they specifically waited for rain to do this. The thunder would drown out any sounds they made. Pesket was at the front, ears peeled back to keep his hearing safe from the horribly loud rain. His fur was soaked, and the cold seeped into his bones, but he slipped towards the river anyway. Birch's island was a mere few meters away, just across the water. This was it. Alae shook violently, being most affected by the cold. Vezula walked next to her, insisting that she should stay behind. "Hell no. I'm doing this." "Just up ahead!" Pesket called out as quietly as he could, looking behind him to make sure everyone was present. Even Thistle has come along, wanting to take revenge for the very thing that started this. The death of her sister. Just as they inched towards the river, someone cried out, and everyone's gazes snapped towards the noise. The dark shape of a nicheling was grasping Vezula towards him, holding her close with a claw on her throat. "Don't even think about stepping into that river." Suddenly, Algae's eyes widened, and she let out something akin to a sob. "Hawk? Why are you doing this?" As Pesket narrowed his eyes, he saw that it was in fact, Hawk. The male just chuckled darkly, pressing his claw closer towards his sister's throat. "You're not laying a paw on my father." Vezula let out a whimper, and a couple nichelings nearly ripped off his fur then and there. Algae was frozen, not knowing what to do. She couldn't hurt her child, but if she didnt, her other child would get hurt. Or worse. "H-how did you even know we were doing this?" "A little bird told me." Hawk purred. "Isnt that right?" He said quietly, smirking as he glanced behind him. Then, someone slipped out of a clump of grass. "I KNEW IT!" Raincloud screeched, launching herself towards Moth. "YOU DIRTY, GOOD FOR NOTHING-" Zephyr leapt forward, holding back her daughter as she kept spitting curses and profanities, screeching at the top of her lungs. Moth simply looked away, his fur bristling and an almost remorseful look on his face. "My dear brother told me everything, and Im oh so proud he did. I probably wouldnt have ever found out about this otherwise." Hawk quipped, seeming almost like he was putting emphasis on his brother's actions. "Now, how about to back away-" Before his sentence could be finished, Hawk fell to the ground, screaming. Vezula to the chance to wriggle away, bolting towards her mother in the crowd. Hawk shakily stood up, pressing a paw to the sudden wound that was gashed into his shoulder. "What-" Then, he was on the ground again, covering his eye with his paw and thrashing under something. Hesitantly, he wiped the blood away from his eye, growling up at whatever had pinned him. His eyes blew wide. "No..." His breathing grew heavy. "You're dead..."

  23. Gathered down at the ports they arrived on, the majority of the tribe were huddled together, wary of being caught. "This can't go on any longer." Startled, many looked to the voice, more than surprised to see that Pesket of all nichelings had called this meeting. "Birch has to go. He's a horrible, cruel leader. I think we can all agree on that." Many nodded in agreement, a few words being mumbled between nichelings. The only one who didnt move a muscle was Twig, who lay by the water, staring blankly as fish swam by. Robin sat next to him, trying to comfort his brother while simultaneously focusing his attention on Pesket. A growl rose from the crowd, and Raincloud's lashing tail smacked several nichelings as she pushed through the crowd. "His wretched brat murdered by brother!" The female snarled, her fur bristling as rage started to overtake her. Twig noticibly stiffened at the mention of Termite, his eyes starting to water. Robin ran his tail soothingly down his brother's back, shooting Raincloud a look. Algae was visibly nervous, shuffling her paws and glancing back at her every 5 seconds, paranoid that Birch would find them. She looked to her daughter, making sure she was still there. "Moth? He didnt mean to do it, he's just a child." Raincloud scoffed. "Oh really? Then why isnt he here?" "Birch doesnt let the boys out of his sight for long, I would never be able to get them here without him noticing. It was hard enough to sneak out Vezula." Pesket raised his head, silence falling over the crowd. His eyes hardened, and a snarl echoed in his throat. "Its settled. Birch is going down." As much as everyone agreed, something was unknown to them. Somebody was listening in.

  25. Out of nowhere, Grasshopper dropped to the ground, not breathing. "What the-" Storm whipped around, his eyes widening. "Did he just?..." Rust came over, keeping one on his mate and daughter getting on the ports. "I think so." Storm sighed, staring at the body. "But how? Was he just old?" "Who's the new leader?" Rust questioned. Storm froze, a realization washing over him. "No-nobody...he never passed the leadership inheritance rights to anyone..."

  28. Popperknot is on his last day of life. For his last moments, he decides to rest under the tree, surrounded by the comforting scent of berries and acorns. They remind him of his mother. He closed his eyes, laying in the shade as the rest of the tribe relaxed in the sun of gathered food. He heard pawsteps. It took all his strength to open his eyes, but once he looked up, shock filled him. With that, he choked out his last words, before age took him. "Rust?"

  33. Tai hesitated, before slipping around the bushes. Suddenly, she was face-to-face with the one she hated most. Treasure was picking berries as he usually was, seeming to not even notice her. "Treasure." "Tai." He greeted her, not looking up. "Beach found a meadow filled with berry bushes today, we'll have food for weeks." "Wow, good for her." They sat in silence, until Tai couldnt take it anymore. "They'll never let you get away with this. You'll be exiled." Treasure chuckled, low and dark. Startled, Tai stumbled back, but she tried not to show fear. "Exiled? Please. Have there ever been consequences for me before?" Tai started shaking, trying her best to ignore the horrible truth in his words. "But nobody would ever let this stand!" "Oh really?" Treasure stood up, turning to her with a smirk. "Who says you'll ever get to tell them, dear?"

  35. Tusk flinched as thunder banged in the sky above, shivering as he felt the cold rain seep into his bones. This sucked. They wouldnt even let him take shelter under the tree. Why did they hate him so much? Holding back tears, he curled his tail around himself, closing his eyes tight. "Are you alright?" His gaze shot up, catching the female that stood above him. She was massive, towering over him by at least a head. Quickly wiping away some tears, he tried to smile. "Im fi-" His voice cut off, instead his jaws snapping shut as another violent shiver wracked his body. "Are you cold? Why dont you just take shelter?" "They wont let me under the tree." The female blinked, seeming like she wanted to ask why. But she didnt, instead curling up next to him. "Well, I can keep you warm." Tusk just blinked, not moving as she shuffled herself so he was in her thick fur. "Wh-" "You're cold, do you really think im going to let you freeze?" Tusk didnt answer, instead closing his eyes, burying as much of himself as possible against this kind female. As he drifted to sleep, she said one last thing. "Im Anare, by the way." (shhh dont mind that random wanderer)

  38. Shoving himself through the grass, Jawbone stumbled over something, whipping around to snarl at at it. As he looked closer, he realized it was a nest, and tore away some more grass. It was right under a tree too, perfect. The group searched the area, and Capricorn discovered another nest not far away. "Well, I guess we're home."
