  1. yo I am in the middle of testing to see if a protective 'city wall' of high defense (armor body + mammoth feet) nichelings would work

they also have hammer tail, mega horns and birb beak so that they can collect, hunt, crack and dig

they seem to be working on deadly hills so far :D no damage has been taken. here's everyone trapping a friendly bearyena

  2. I had the same happen to me. I used the console for an experiment on DH and didn’t leave completely. I got some weird bugs. Deleted save. Started again on DH and got the endless night and eyes closed like you said. The next day I tried again this time on WI and it was fine.

Your best bet is to leave and come back WITHOUT moving that creature. Just use the console, STOP, exit, come back, then do whatever. It works for me very well.

  3. OKay so it's been a long time, so this will just show some of the most important events that have happened over the past like 20 days. I promise the next one will be more in depth, but my tribe is up to 30+ members, I'm working on whittling it down to 20-25, by slowly poisoning all the elders and limiting the number of children

    ok here goes...

This cutie is born. Her name is Doe. I love her.50657883_Screenshot(80).thumb.png.6a203a13550874d7eb4bcc272a818c4b.png

The rogue males continue to wreak havoc, frequently getting the unattended women pregnant.1516714668_Screenshot(83).thumb.png.7dc10e8425e89620edd7ad1593c12411.png

Moley spends her last day surrounded by her sisters and daughters.1611325201_Screenshot(87).thumb.png.1f79db57199fe86cb1a61f9071e230bb.png

A bearyena shows up right next to Fawn and her newborn baby, Tatata. Such bad luck!305986342_Screenshot(111).thumb.png.79a734dc874032e6a186f62c5c309531.png

I skip the day and a lot happens. A rogue male gets Doe pregnant (everyone stares at them, even baby Tatata), A little red baby peacock shows up and is invited in, and the bearyena retaliates and is then killed. 1764468808_Screenshot(115).thumb.png.e3101885e3a00731febef1bc743982a2.png

The baby cries from the trauma, saying that his mother was killed protecting him from the bearyena. He says his name is Kunu Fancyroot. 1283927546_Screenshot(116).thumb.png.49d7d786b7fb73ef561f4cd6b74347fe.png

A brown spotted peacock appears, probably little Kunu's long lost uncle. His name is Rovan Plumeclaw. 2039884964_Screenshot(120).thumb.png.62ddb289a5b50dccc204abdc8a2f85d7.png

An angry mother bearyena and her cub show up, in the same exact place as where my first bearyena and cub showed up so many days ago (day 20 to be exact). She's probably mad that we killed her husband back on day 45. Everyone pitches in to kill the mother. Creme is killed by the bearyena, and Rovan Plumeclaw takes severe damage due to his hemophilia. Understanding that even though he is young he does not have long to live, he takes Fawn II as a mate. 2001165516_Screenshot(119).thumb.png.ecd9f324f63955f8b3079ab7bc3498ce.png

...And also this bearyena comes as well. Probably an Uncle Bearyena. (The albino birb is Spirit Swiftwing's younger brother, Spectre. He won't be breeding due to sucky fertility.) Spectre lures it towards where all the stronger nichelings are. 1093586521_Screenshot(121).thumb.png.4aab6c32b709d62253908749129f3c83.png

...Yet another peacock appears, this time a pretty female. Her name is Rere Blossomtail. She becomes mates with the younger Tatata and they have two derpy kids. 1061907362_Screenshot(122).thumb.png.89c6936751ad9ea9cf2b425152995c6d.png

Spectre calls on a stump, and a bright red male comes sliding over whilst facing backwards. His name is Taduk Moonwalk, and rightfully so. He falls in love with young Doe. 243929727_Screenshot(126).thumb.png.95d0aeea91cad0fbf549b742690ea48f.png

    Midnight has some clawed twins.364014663_Screenshot(130).thumb.png.3af8f75cce19e6977558c765d2036f79.png

    WhOa

    heck yes

    His name is Vanrokir Venomsting.109455042_Screenshot(134).thumb.png.f1309f8a9585432207a2208b4f5848e3.png

    ANOTHER peacock!? wth

    His name is Rokirnu Fanskip.463032389_Screenshot(144).thumb.png.ce9ddb0710c8255ba1003d3a1fb67e07.png

After Rovan's death, Fawn II takes on a second mate. And their first child--

sCREAMS she's so precious aaaaa her eyes and the big circles 1207821415_Screenshot(148).thumb.png.0b3632a14f0975dc8e6e21a8d993ec7d.png656259261_Screenshot(147).thumb.png.00d3c5ec03b325faf81a40eb41db5014.png

Our friendly bearyena is cornered so the little brown half-bearyena can backcross bread.448248390_Screenshot(150).thumb.png.2080bb0e471adfd5cda48dfa0187e4c8.png

Fawn II dies giving birth to Fierce Stingstep.1348534425_Screenshot(152).thumb.png.726477eb660ecc34fee85007f9edf68c.png

Another little scorpion kid steps out of the hot grasses. Her name is Laanaana Poisonstripe. (That is a mouthful!) I think she will become mates with Fierce. (also that brown newborn is the result of daughter-father bearyena incest. She unlocked bearyena ears but won't breed).205515995_Screenshot(157).thumb.png.20409f9cedeca9cbaacfb5e20d12cf6f.png

again once I shrink the tribe a little bit I will make my playthrough a bit more in depth :)

    Heyo ^^
    Sorry, I'm currently on vacation.

Strange! I don't think there is a quick fix for this :/
We'll take a look at this when back at the office.
If you want, I can send over the soundtrack so you can switch off the music and listen to that instead.

thank you so much! Have a nice vacation!

  5. Aesthetically, there aren’t any genes I really despise besides Derp Snout.

some genes that I would rather not have due to looks are gills, bearyena snout (it ran rampant in one of my tribes and I got sick of it very fast. I can’t tell the males from the females!), spiky body (no tail!? Why?) Webbed Hind legs, and I don’t really like bearyena hindlegs’ Butts...lol. I don’t like the shape of the toxic body but the colors are fun. Purr snout, especially with black eyes, can also get on my nerves but not as bad, and it depends on the animal. I used to hate cracker jaw but it’s kind of growing on me...will never be a favorite but I accept it now.

for some reason I don’t mind the beak, because it’s useful with the wings and I just...like birds, a lot. I also find the digging trunk to be too funny to hate.

For usefulness, I dislike toxic body and lean body, webbed paw, and obviously crippled paw.

  6. For us it’s quiet...sort of. Last year we made paper party hats, some of them looking very silly. We watched a movie, played games, and goofed around. In years past we watched the ny ball dropping thing but we didn’t like that tradition very much. And fireworks at home are illegal here. So we just have our own little party :D

i would think it allows your nicheling to go longer without drinking? say for normal nichelings every 5 days you become dehydrated, humped nichelings could go for 10 days without becoming dehydrated. maybe you unlock it by drinking 35 times? but that would mean you would have to make the drinking action for only when nichelings are dehydrated. thats just some ideas

oooh this is cool too! maybe your nicheling only has to eat food once every 3 days? if it had that and the longer time without drinking, i think it would have to go to drinking 50 times when dehydrated to unlock tho.

also, i think thats enough camel genes for now 😅. nearly every gene is based around camels now! maybe we could focus more on other desert animals, like snakes and lizards? maybe there could be a rattlesnake tail? or a new head with the frills on the head of a lizard? or maybe new horns like the horned lizard?

In real life I believe that it is a myth that camel humps store water.  But they in fact are full of fat that is used when needed.

I mean just look at it isn't it majestic (this was the best pic I could find lol)

My Question: What is your favorite thing you got for Christmas? (whether it was from someone else or yourself...)

    A mini waffle iron :D

I was thinking Humped Body gene would give "Hydration Resistance". (This would be a yes/no ability, like with Poison). Problem is, it's too specific. What do humps get you when you finally leave the desert?

I was thinking maybe the hump body prevents you from starving for several days. You would automatically technically take the starving damage first, but you wouldn’t starve!
