    Poor SLARM.

i literally only just realized that his name is an abbreviation x.x

Before that I kept asking myself, “what kind of a name is Slarm? What does it mean!”

  2. So if you ever watch Lavendertowne you know she does a lot of art turning things into 'cute girls' so I decided to do that

These quick sketches are based off of the four Easy islands in Niche :) They were really fun to draw!

I think I will make many more in the future!

Personally, I would really like new animals to fill the gaps in the ecosystems like large herbivores, feline carnivores, more water dwellers and some smaller creatures that can change the layout of the island a bit. But what I would like the most, as sort of a FINAL BIG update, would be a huge island that would take a very long time to explore. It would have every different biome, with savannah, grassland and jungle on the lowlands, and snow on the peaks. Then, a decent amount of ocean tiles. Maybe, every few days, a small whale, like a tiny whale island, could come and stay for a few days in the ocean, allowing you to get on its back for extra resources. Every single creature could spawn on this island, and there could be a few new ones in a new volcano or cave biome at the center of the island. Finally, there could be a true challenge mode implemented. It would not change the game a lot, but it would alter the behavior and abilities of all creatures, and make the game more of a challenge. There have been many cool ideas for a hard mode, like falling islands, invasive species that would try to take over the island, or making it so other animals can change their abilities over time and adapt to your nichelings. An update like this would be great for old players who need something to really freshen the game

    YES

Or a seasons island would be cool too! And the apes hibernate when the balance bears come out! :D

At this point in Niche, everyone can only think of things that hurt your Nichelings. What about new biomes? New ways to genes aside from wanderers? Special genes that really don't make sense? Goat head? Hooves? Stub tails? I could think of so much that isn't related to the Nichelings getting hurt. A way to tame rogue males into your tribe? Anything magical isn't really bad. Remember whale island? That's a whale. That your Nichelings live on. Now isn't that magical? I just wish everything wasn't about your Nichelings getting hurt and just things being realistic. Isn't Niche supposed to be where you get away from life and problems and just life the real world and agony? Aren't all games supposed to do that? Niche is one of those relaxing games, aren't they? Or is it about dying and suffering in a climate because your last child died by a rogue male? I can't get the grasp of why this should be added. Niche, in my mind, is about surviving and being calm while doing it. And saying this, makes me realize it doesn't do that anymore. Also, please don't take this seriously. I'm tired. I just wasted my time writing this and killing myself in the process.  I should probably not post this.

Does that mean you support my Unicorn Horn suggestion?? YAY

To be honest, the voting system never stops to surprise me. Free download might be Nr. -1 by today, though. Somehow...

Oh I forgot about the free download one!

Tbh I rarely downvote a suggestion because I'm afraid to hurt other's feelings! To me, it's not like if I downvote it then it won't be implemented.

I guess we have a different opinion on seriousness? I'm really not sure what to say, but please don't worry about suggestions that seem overkill. They're usually very unpopular, so the community doesn't like harshness. I think some of the most downvotes I've seen were on cancer and abortions, so anything even related to dying baby nichelings and unpredictable death is one big no-no.

The most downvoted suggestion I have seen was "With gills you cant breath on land" lol

@bostonlobstah Have you tried restarting Steam and your computer?
Achievements are looked as soon as a sandbox mode setting is chosen that isn't the default one.

Also it said "An error occurred while updating Niche (no internet connection)"

The internet is not working on that computer...

I think I will just wait until I get back to my other computer to play
