If you start on Crossing it should work.

Also I have a question
Are achievements locked for all sandbox mode saves, or just when the starters are customized/the whole mutation menu is unlocked?

I'm having trouble updating the game on my second computer.
It said that Steam couldn't sync the files from the other computer, which is likely why the game is still in 1.1.4 on this second computer. But when I try to enter the code, NicheTesterBranch, it says it's invalid. Is there any way to get the game to update? @Philo

Hmmm.
No Paw Challenge (starters have no paws, and wanderers are consoled to have no paws. The only exception is if you find a winged wanderer you can console it to have double wings so that Birb beak can be unlocked. And you have to try and 🍞bread/unlock the useful horn/head/tail genes in order to eat. )
Rainbow Skittles Challenge (Start on a jungle island and try to bread the most colorful spotty nichelings. Kinda like Seri's fruitlings)
Wanderer Challenge (Only one adult tribe member. Can only bread with wanderers, rogues and bearyenas. No clearing grass. Wander around.)

The father Bearyena was repelled, but the mother was having none of this. She knows that the Peaceful Bear is just a big sissy.
There's the daddy. He's still being a wuss.
Meanwhile, more children are born. The tribe is growing fast, and with the food so low, the tribe may starve at any moment.
The mother Bearyena is finally dead. We tame the child.
Meanwhile, an ice block is spotted not far away.
But first, Daddy Bearyena wants custody of his now teenage son. And a poor wanderer is caught in the middle of it all.
Daddy is promptly killed, but before our tribe can eat the delicious meat, that wanderer promptly steals our food! "HEY!" Riperella yells. "We needed that! Our tribe's about to starve to death!" We invite her in anyway.
The next day, Mr. Rippenpeace and Riperella pass away. Riperella's bones bless the nest where sleeps her last baby. A little seer for the tribe.
Finally, some scouts reach ice block and find...a toxic bodied, transgender female nicheling named Lianare.
I accidentally poison a child. :,( She looks like her poison-fanged mother, okay!?
Another Bearyena comes. He is here to avenge the deaths of his friends!

I had a somewhat strong tribe on this one with a lot of purrsnouts. So when the bearyena approached a weaker mother, I didn't really bother. Just let her swipe at it with two measly turns of damage. Only... the bearyena killed the baby. The mother barely had any damage at all, but the beautiful, first born son was dead. That's a really rare bug some users reported, but I'll never trust the game mechanics again.
This happened to me. But it was a rogue baby so i didn't care

Why hello there. I made a poll asking which island I should go to first. Right now it's a tie between Summer Mountains and Frost Lands, with six votes each.
Seeing that I already have a tribe on Frost Lands (even though they are all well adapted), I am going to pick Summer Mountains as my first island!
So without further ado...
Here are our first victims: Mr. Rippenpeace and Ripperella. I gave them basic starter genes that will still come in handy, but colors were randomized. I quite like them. Very pink. 10/10. Also turned off Palm Trees because they do not fit the environment, and it seems to have worked this time. Yay!
First two children. Doing okay food wise.
Check out the ports!
Burning Savanna to the east...
...And Jungle Gate to the west.
Migrating a bit farther North.
Our first visitor. Hello there! He is old but he becomes mates with what's her name oof Lenana. He has recessive big body so his kids may come in useful someday.
Riperella's next baby (such pink!!). Food's getting shaky. Luckily there are lots of rabbils nearby to eat.
Second child of Lenana. At this point I realized I forgot to put Runner Leg into the dad's mutation menu, hence the crippled paw.
YIKES! A whole FAMILY of bearyenas! Good thing Uncle Creepo is here to save us!
So I pass the day, the whole pack of Bearyenas come at us, and immediately retreat back to where they were before once they behold Uncle Creepo's creepy stalker face. I don't even know how my tribe could have accepted him!
...And then this guy shows up. Heck, we are having a better Bear Party than JessiMew!

I completely randomized my creature except for gender. She ended up having pretty much no abilities whatsever, and ended up freezing so I couldn't do anything. Anyways, before she froze, she found some rabbils and attempted to attack one a ton. She spent about 4 or 5 days doing this (using all her turns on it), and successfully hit it about 5 times. But how did all those attacks not kill it? It was the same Rabbil. Normally a creature with 1 attack only has to hit it twice to kill it, so wouldn't it be the same for a creature with 0 strength?
I think 0 strength deals literally 0 damage. So it is literally too weak to even scratch a rabbil!

I don't really know how to reply to people or if you even can, but to answer your question boston (if you even see this) I checked my game version and it said 1.1.7 :3
Was it 1.1.7 when the lighting bug happened? That was a 1.1.6 issue that should have been resolved.

AAA look at them! Beautiful!!

x means it IS possible to be in the game, as long as the island allows it (ex. you won't find a Killer Bearyena on peaceful meadows, even if you keep it checked).
