you could try going right until you get to whale island, and theres a chance you can get to crossing from there. if not, go to grass mingle and go north and if theres no northern port right, because thats how i got to home island
The thing is, I've never been to a Killer island. Can you get to crossing if you've been on a hard island?

Last I went to Long Winter, there were only 2 nests. That island was crawling with glitches. Such as no snow or rabbils at all. A common bug here apparently is rabbits don’t spawn until the snow melts...well there’s no snow either.

Did the males all have fluffy tail? I'm not sure if messing with the spawn rate command gave me weird animals (on the first save Adam's family respawned mostly with webbed paw) or if it was changed. Some better genes are always nice.
Yes they all did. I haven't checked rec. genes though. I can soon to check though.

So I would like some input from yall in how to go about this. Food or lack thereof doesn't matter since my playthrough revolves around the magic of the console. What I need help is in how to get to Crossing and therefore Home Island most efficiently. I have been having some major issues with the dreaded Island Loop, among other glitches. For example, It's not snowing at ALL on any of the snow islands. There are no balance bears or walrus deer or ramfoxes. And Long Winter has no rabbils either. WTH!? So I can't go north from Long Winter because of the ice blocks that won't ever melt. I consoled a creature with antenna, and it will say Snow in 4 days, I skip the day and then it says Sunny in 3 days
So my question is. How can I get to Home Island as efficiently and quickly as possible? Should I just keep going right until I can go north and continue on like that? Just came from Long Winter to Oasis as the Frost Lands port was iced over. Unfortunately there is no Northern port to this island. I can go to burning savannah, or I can go back to Frost Lands and keep going right. Which route would you take?

happened to me once. The female was in a river!

I went to Home Island as an experiment, and here's what I found:
- ALL the females had chestnut brown fur + random color, and black pattern + random color. ALL the males were pure chestnut brown/black. Weird.

The Fire and Ice Twins!
Because it's what I got

They were born to a pair of warriors who were part of an expedition to scope out new territory. I haven't played their save in a while so idk...Firepaw is bold and mischievous, while Icepaw is laid back and a bit aloof.

It's on there.
I have another one: "donut" instead of "do not" to go with our bread theme
I do not type this incorrectly but sometimes I verbally will say 'donut'

ok it's been awhile but I have some interesting stuff that happened...problem is, the many, many screenshots that I have are not all on the same computer. Therefore I need to wait until I can get to my other computer before I post the next playthrough update, in which we meet a new friend and travel to a new land!

I can't test anything right now, but I can answer a couple questions:
I've had my creatures call out a lot of times on a stump, but no Rogue Males have ever appeared.
I've had many wanderers with water genes, ad all of them came right out of the water like they were sent from Atlantis.
I've never had any creatures on trees when they weren't supposed to be there. Crabbits, on the other hand... well...
I second the water wanderers. I have found water genes to be VERY strongly tied to the beach/shore.

hi kids so firstly im an idiot and looked at someone elses "drawing your nichelings for free" thread and thought it was my thread so I drew @Basil's nicheling and I also want to say I have my tablet now so I can do digital art and... lets just say my digital is way better than my traditional, which is just simple cute things which are pretty bad. if anyone wants me to do another drawing of their nichelings but digitally, just ask.
heres basil's picture which I just did for no reason, but it exists now and im putting it here:
This is sooo cute ;o;
I’m glad you mistook my thread for yours. I love this!

@Star Sage has suggested: Which is more dominant, Poison Fangs or Bearyena Snout? So, here I go! I probably won't test it out as much as I did with the Yellow and Violet Eyes, since I've already figured out a mechanic.
Off we go! I shall console the starter pair so that the female has Poison Fangs, and the male Bearyena Snout.
I'm sorry but just look at this pattern 😮
Annd I glitched it too much (I exited the game, but it's still glitchy) so I have to do this on a new save. Bye bye beauty boy
First child:
So far it's following the Mother's Genes rule.
Second:
Third:
I'll stop doing screenshots of the children, but I will say what the result for their head gene is. The Fourth has dominant PF.
Fifth is the same. Now I'm going to do a different save, this time with the Female having Bearyena Snout and the male having Poison Fangs. Oh no! I deleted the save before I shared it. Oh well
First child, and... oh! It looks like Poison fangs might actually be dominant! 😮
Four children later, and the answer is clear: Poison Fangs is more dominant than Bearyena Snout.
Next Up: If you IncreaseSpawn PlayerAnimal on Adam's tutorial island, could his family literally live there forever? Which is basically: If you use IncreaseSpawn PlayerAnimal, will it spawn any wanderers?
So, here we go!
Also, there's an option for PlayerAnimal and one for NPC PlayerAnimal. I wonder what the difference is? I GUESS WE'LL FIND THAT OUT TOO MWAHAHA
Here it goes..
And WHAAAT IT'S ADAM'S LONG LOST BROTHER
BUT HE CAN'T INVITE HIS BROTHER IN NOOO
Another creature! This time it's just a regular one.
Also, it appears that you can attack this member of Adam's family and they will attack you back. How unfortunate...
Problem is, Adam and his brother have the same amount of attack damage, and both began bleeding on the same day. However, the brother is younger, so he will live longer than Adam. Thus, I will give Adam the status of healing so that he can recover. I also removed Bleeding.
No more wanderers appear for a few days, though a pile of bones is found. I continue adding the effect of healing so that Adam will heal, and I also decrease his age.
Since no more wanderers are spawning, I IncreaseSpawn PlayerAnimal again.
Another wanderer is found the next day, just a regular one.
Another brother of Adam is found. No more wanderers spawn.
The answer: IF you use IncreaseSpawn playerAnimal on the first island Adam is on, it will spawn wanderers, both normal and Home Island.
I started a new savefile to try out the IncreaseSpawn NpcPlayerAnimal, but unfortunately it did nothing at all. Maybe there had been plans for NPCs, but they were never officially added, though their console command was left behind?
I wonder...could you breed with her and start a family on the starting island? Would it be even possible or would you run out of food?

I can answer this one. Short eyes are more dominant than blind eyes. Otherwhise you'd end up with blind Nichelings more often.
Short snout is more dominant than Big snout at least I am 99% sure about that
both of your answers are correct ime
