  1. This would be really nice. It's cool to interbreed with Bearyenas but I feel there could be another advantage to befriending them like this. I had this exact same problem recently. The bearyena was between an ape and my favourite new nicheling, for some reason i thought they might protect my clan :'(
  2. This would be great! And a totally realistic way to force a species to adapt/evolve!
  3. I'd love to see this! At the moment , underwater breathing and swimming seem a little boring, since there's nothing to really explore down there :0 It'd be great if some islands were small bits of land with large reefs or swamps or some body of water in the middle
  4. It would be cool to see some sort of NPC clan on some islands? Similar to running into clan-less nichelings, but they cannot join your clan. They would compete for food and if they outgrew your clan you'd be forced to migrate to another island? Challenges: Competition for food They could kill your young if unattended They could sometimes attack you or retaliate if you attack them - calling for reinforcements like dodomingoes do. Opportunities: Killing their alphas could cause their clan to be available to add to your own. They could have special skills (ie; farming, communication skills?) They could be a special way to unlock rare new genes I don't know if it's possible, but I'd really like to see something like this - it would provide a slightly more AI challenge than the current predators
  5. Maybe food could only last so long? So after X rounds, a berry bush would stop producing or hardly produce anything at all? Migration would also be good? So if a cold season came (going off the back of your ice age idea), the nichelings would be forced to either evolve quickly or migrate away to another island :0
  6. A lifespan setting would be great! Or genes that help a nicheling live longer at least? (Maybe if the previous generation was healthy, their offspring could live longer? We have a way to make lifespans shorter, but no way of making them longer. A lifespan-changing mode could open the door to all kinds of challenges
  7. This is such a good idea! It may make the game a little easy if every nicheling could do it, so many a genetic trait which allows the call? Or different mouths having different levels of effectiveness? It would be good if the type of mouth your nicheling had also affected the pitch of noise it makes? So a short snout would make a higher pitched noise and maybe a cracker or derp snout would be low pitched?
  8. I'm all for this idea Especially the peacock and scorpion tails, those would be neat. I've always thought the water tail in the game should look more.. watery? I know it's a platypus-style tail, but it doesn't look that different from the other tails. Changing it to a shark-ish tail like the one you've got here would be so helpful!
  9. This would be so great! I have to either tab away to wordpad or write my notes down on paper at the moment. It gets so difficult when there are so many nichelings!
  10. I'd love to see a day and night cycle, or if it'd take too long to develop, islands where it's always night would also work. It would be really fun to try to adapt nichelings to the dark with thick fur for the cold nighttime, night-vision, adaptations to catch prey that only comes out at night etc. Maybe there could be a bioluminescence gene, too?
  11. Ooh, I like this! The whiskered snout would be really helpful and make blindness more useful Far-sighted sounds cool, too. Especially if they could see further overall. Also big eyes... aww.
  12. I'd really like to see more gene variations and interesting ways to get them (hybrid genes would be fun!) Ideally it would be great if your nichelings could evolve into a completely different type of creature. Examples: Dragon - Lizard mouth, webbed wings, scaley body, lizard eyes. Domestic - Floppy ears, wooly body, useless stub tail Hooved - Hooved legs, mane, gazelle horns Bird - Parrot mouth, extravagantly coloured feathers, bird legs. Mythical - Unicorn horn, snake body 'back legs' I wasn't really sure how to add this suggestion since it's all essentially one topic (more genes), but then I got carried away with examples, so I hope that's okay!
