  1. Well, then it could probably prey on them, although the Ibecko or Beagurll might at least try to attack back and defend themselves. The Kittallow could be an easy prey if the Pythadillo gets to their nests above the water. Although, given that your suggestion for the Pythadillo says that their habitat is savannahs, swamps, and jungles, while cliffs would most often appear in the mountains and beaches, an encounter is unlikely.
  2. Cliffs would be a landform you could find on islands like the mountains, where it would be a very steep drop that you couldn't just move up with most nichelings. However, if you can fly or have a rock climbing ability, then you could. Rock climbing would also let you use rocks as tree stumps. If caves are added, they would generate frequently near cliffs. When within three tiles of water, you will sometimes find sea bird nests. Genes Ibex Hindlegs (probably called something else) +2 Climbing +2 Speed +1 Swimming Gripping Claws (like a gecko) +2 Climbing + Grip (lets you hang onto cliffs) +1 Collecting (or speed? Just something to make it otherwise useful) Creatures Ibecko Looks like a gecko, although higher off the ground, has small horns, and the back legs have hooves. The coloration is brown with orange spots. Can be found near cliffs and rocks. Will climb up and down, eating berries that they find, if near cliffs, and will only attack if attacked. However, if a gecko nicheling is hanging onto their cliff, they will sometimes headbutt them off, causing a bit more damage. Provide three or so food when killed. Kittallow The Kittallow is a mix in appearance between a cliff swallow and a black-legged kittiwake. They nest in cliffs within three tiles of water, and their nests look like cliff swallow nests. You can raid the nests for food, and you can eat the adults if a nicheling can fly, or if one lands on the cliff. Kittallows will eat fish. Raiding the nest gives about one food point per action, and adults give two, but they spawn in large colonies on Rocky Shores. Beagurll The Beagurll is a mix between a bear and a seagull, with a bear-like body that has a seagull coloration and feathers, with a little bit of an orange beak. They live near cliffs, and can climb them, generally eating Kittallows and Ibeckos, although will also eat berries and fish if they run into them. They tend not to attack your nichelings unless they go onto the Beagurll's cliff, and then will continue to attack that creature until they move away. They have a bit more health than a Bearyena, and drop twelve food. On Rocky Shores, they spawn instead of Bearyenas, but elsewhere they are kind of rare. Island - Rocky Shores The only spots on this island that have a beach touching the water are the ports. The other edges are cliffs, excluding the occasional small island. Sea birds flock around these cliffs, providing an ample food source if you can reach them. There is a mountain in the middle, which has cliffs as well (basically, it has a bunch of cliffs for climbing creatures). I think it would be a medium island, as berry bushes wouldn't spawn too frequently, and most food will have to be hunted down, although you can easily get that food with the right genes. Flying creatures will spawn a tiny bit more frequently, although are still rare compared to Whale Island. Waterfalls Waterfalls occur when a river is going to flow over a cliff spot. They are mostly decoration, although sometimes caves (if they are added) generate behind them, and provide a bit of a cooling bonus. If multiple connected river tiles are flowing over at one place (like right next to a lake), however, creatures who stand in it have a possibility of getting stunned.
  3. I've seen Round Ears on wanderers in Sandbox, I'm pretty sure.
  4. I think that this sounds cool, but I think that having to switch between all the tribes would get annoying, especially if you have four tribes. Maybe instead, it could be separate food and nesting material resources, and there's some way to tell you what tribe a nicheling is a part of. (Also, sorry if you meant it to be like that, it just wasn't that clear to me)
  5. Basically, it would be a new gene slot. Warm-blooded creatures would have the normal three actions, cold resistances, etc. Cold-blooded creatures would only have two actions and a -1 to cold resistance, but they wouldn't have to eat as often, so it could be helpful if you're unable to gather as much food, or have a very large tribe that doesn't necessarily need three actions for every creature.
  6. @crazybrownmittens I think that this suggestion is being able to create new colors to add to the cycle. You wouldn't have to recreate anything unless you deleted that color. So, for example, let's say that I added in a purple in. That purple would show up while I'm clicking through the gems on the family tree to change their color, just like normal. The color selector wouldn't pop up for every single gem I want to change.
  7. Maybe it could be a toggle-able thing? Because there's the Harem achievement for having one animal of one sex and lots of the opposite sex, and having this in effect all the time would exponentially increase the difficulty of getting that achievement.
  8. Maybe it could look something like this? (The tail is underground)
  9. Just wondering, how would flying creatures get stuck in the web? Would it just be the same as any other creature, as in landing on the floor tiles, or could they get caught by landing on the trees or passing through the web?
  10. That would be really handy to have with wings, for collecting and stuff! Giving some more options besides just a beak .
  11. @ChasingNyx I believe the way it works is that the suggestions with the most votes are put in the community votings, and then the top votes are implemented.
  12. So, I've seen some people complain about the lack of use for underwater genes. So, I was thinking that perhaps there could be something like an atoll island, where the only land is a thin strip of beach with maybe some grass surrounding the "island", just in case you have nichelings that can't breathe underwater, and then the main part would be a giant pit in the middle, containing a coral reef. "Plants" Coral Bushes*- These would act similar to berry bushes, although wouldn't produce as much food and would look different. Water-breathing Coral- Normal coral that can sometimes be found in the game. Kelp- Normal kelp found in the game. Prey Parrastars- Parrastars would look kind of like a cross between a parrot fish and a sea star. They would eat the coral bushes, and if your nichelings attack them they get poisoned. Sea urchins- If you attack sea urchins, they can cause your nichelings to start bleeding, like a cactus. They are stationary. Normal fish- The normal kinds of fish you can currently find in-game. Predators *Eels- Eels could be found hiding inside some coral bushes. You should listen for them. When a nicheling gets close, the eel will lunge out and bite the nicheling, having a chance of removing all remaining turns. Shrids- Shrids would be attracted to bleeding nichelings. If a nichelings comes near it and isn't bleeding, then the shrid will ink them and run away. It looks kind of like a shark with large eyes and tentacles. Other Coral- You could also find coral that acts like rocks. An ability for Gills- some kind of ability that makes gills more viable as a head option. I am sorry if this is a bit too close to other ideas, this is mostly just a random idea for a single island (not all water in general).
  13. So, this would basically be a new pattern color with two possible outcomes: if a nicheling has only one copy of the gene, then their pattern glows in the other color present, and is purely aesthetic. If a nicheling has two copies of the gene, then it would glow in a random, bright color (like toxic body). Maybe having two copies would add +1 attractiveness out of water, and in water fish would come toward the bioluminescent nicheling.
  14. Maybe we could have moles, but they would act a bit more like rabbils, since you're underground? Also, for the cave predator, maybe it could be a blind spider/lizard creature?
  15. My idea for its appearance would look something like this: (sorry about any blurriness, for some reason my phone refused to focus unless I tilted it just the right way, and then give me only a second to take the picture) Also, the reason that the head is so short is due to the pictures of spitting cobra heads I found on Google.
  16. Also, maybe it could also give +1 attractiveness because of the frills, or have an ability to stun small creatures by quickly opening their frills. So, for example, you could stun a rabbil, and then it would be easier to kill.
  17. So, I just randomly had an idea for a new gene. It would maybe look kind of like a snake head, with frills on the sides. If a creature comes within a certain range (maybe three or four spaces?) the nicheling with the gene has an option to spit at it. The creature would be poisoned, and wouldn't take damage right away. Perhaps you could make puddles on certain spots, and creatures who step in them (including nichelings) would be poisoned. Edit: Based on people's suggestions, I think that I should change it to instead paralyze the target for a day or two, although only a few turns for larger creatures. However, there is also a very small chance to poison the target. Edit 2: Should probably add some possible unlock conditions. I think that it would be unlocked after eating a certain number of toxic berries and licking a certain number of times. Another option could involve picking from the carnivorous plant.

@Skysplash8Huh. Apparently I have that glitch too and didn't notice

I think I found a variant of the recessive peacock tail glitch. I have two female nichelings, both of which have fin tail. Their models have it both in and out of the family tree, and in the portrait. They also both have recessive peacock tail. When I go into the family tree, however, it says that they have dominant peacock tail, and recessive fin tail. In the genetics tab it has the correct information, as in dominant fin tail and recessive peacock tail.
  21. After playing for a bit more, I found that all nichelings are floating when perched on the birch trees, but on regular nut trees they look normal. The leaves still disappear though, although I'm wondering if that might be intentional to make them easier to click on.
  22. I think I found a bug. When I send my nichelings up into a tree, the leaves disappear. They reappear when I move them off the tree. Also, when I do perch the nichelings on the trees, they are floating up above the tree. Admittedly, I have only done this with babies and juveniles, as I currently have no adults that can fly.
