    Here’s an idea: a blind creature can move, but only one or two tiles at a time, no matter what their speed is, and only in scent or sound view, unless there’s another, not blind, creature nearby (to help guide them.)

    Here's the idea I had. It's kind of too long and complicated to put into one post.

  2. Right now the way blindness works in game isn't accurate or fair. Blindness could be a game ender, but that's not how it is in real life. As @The League of Nations said, "animals who are blind don't sit around waiting for other animals to help them get around, they use their other senses to navigate," I completely agree. Now that I've highlighted the issue, onto a potential solution.

    A possible solution to the problem would be to have them unable to move without another creature in "sight mode." In other modes they could move and take actions (which is already partly in game). The catch would be that they couldn't see trees or rocks without another creature (and possibly not see bushes in "hear mode"). If they tried to move onto a tile with one of those things there, they would waste an action, and not do anything. This way blindness would be more of an inconvenience rather than a game-ender.

    Any constructive criticism would be great. I can clear things up if I didn't explain it properly.

    Well thankfully in the game their other senses are stronger, it's just in the real world it would be harder for them to navigate.

  4. It's alive!

    I'm reviving this topic right now, for this reason: Why can't blind tribe nichelings move? They can when they're wanderers, I've even seen a blind nicheling fly 8 blocks just to get at a root. Blind people aren't stuck in one place, so why blind tribe nichelings? I just had an extinction because a baby was blind. it's just not right.

    So they CAN fly besides walking! That’s pretty cool!(and well it’s pretty obvious I was just only curious if they could only fly when invited..)

    I'm pretty sure I'll always remember the time when I moved my nicheling, and bacon just comes flying out of nowhere and giving me a jump scare. I didn't think I could get scared by such a cutsie game like Niche.

    Beautiful except for the derp snout and the blind eyes. ;-;

    How dare you bash those things. Those traits just make her more beautiful. She's a beautiful piece of bacon, and you can't take that away from her.

    You'd think that after drawing cats for 7 years i'd be good at something like that but no

    It doesn't look like a cat, that's the problem. It's just, such a bad snout.
